Just took my car in to get my tire patched up since I found a screw and a nail embedded in there. I had brought my car into a different tire repair shop where they had told me they wouldn't be able to repair it, but these guys did it free of charge! Aside from my deep gratitude for free service, these guys also work really hard. The customer-facing representatives were visibly busy with phone calls, mediating between customers and mechanics, tending to other customers who were there to pick up/ drop off/ get a consultation for their cars, all while exhibiting coolness and professionalism. There was a customer there who was being a little irksome, but the guy helping me handled it with such professional calmness, which even made me feel proud of him lol. Great job, guys! read more

Got here at 1215pm fur my 1215pm Appt. After standing at the front desk for 10 minutes someone finally acknowledged me and asked me to have a seat. So now 15 minutes in and still haven't written it up or asked for my keys. I'm here for a rotation and balance so I don't expect it to take long. I'm on lunch and can't really be here for over an hour. He told me they should be able to get me out by 115. If they can do that , I will be happy. Right now though, I'm not all that happy since it feels like they burned 15 minutes of my time. By 1245 they have called me and measured my tread depth. This is little peeve of mine and it reminds me of a bigger one. No longer am I given the piece of paper that tells me what my tread depth was. What is the point then? If my tires are wearing unevenly, it would be nice to know about it and even better to know which tire. One of them was less than the others. Wearing faster. No idea which one and the receipt is worthless as it doesn't have that info. My bigger peeve is that when I had the tires installed I asked if they could tell me how much brake pad was left. Actually my girl was with the car and I asked her to ask them. She said they told her they can't do that. When I got there she and another customer told me it was due to liability. Now I didn't ask for them to make a judgement call on whether or not the brakes were good or bad or could go X miles. I just literally wanted a estimate measurement. The other customer coukdnt understand why I didn't want to accept the liability excuse and made sweeping statements about the trouble they could in. Let me make this part crystal clear for the sites and for the corporate lawyers. Ask yourself how much money you'll be liable for the day you refuse to tell a customer his brake pads were looking pretty slim, or let's say a couple mm left, and that person ends up dead or killing someone else 3 days later due to not stopping in time or some type of brake failure? They will sue and they will win stating that any reasonable technician would have recognized how dangerously worn the brake pads were and you refused to inform the customer, whether or not it's your business. So if that's policy to not say anything, I'd really rethink that. Seems like the liability is with not telling them. You tell them, you've done what would be reasonable. You refuse and you are opening yourself up to be cast as the next bad guy in court. So easily.They will crucify you. Think about it, corporate lawyer people. That's all I'm going to say on that. My car was done by 115. Guys at this store working in the bays showed a lot of hustle and cooperation. An exemplary crew of technicians. The service writer guys were good once they got to me but they would do well to achnowledge people when they walk in to let them know they are seen and will be helped soon. This is a very trustworthy and reputable tire store. Pros: Service is always fantastic. They are very trustworthy and will "plug" the tire for free if possible. You can make an appointment but if you do not have an appointment they will accomodate as soon as possible. I feel the value suits the service. Unfortunately, I have had several tires plugged here and my most recent service was a set of 4 new tires. I did not have an appointment and from check-in to completion when they opened at 0800 took 36 minutes! Cons: no alignment service at this location. I recommend all the America's Tire locations but I am partial to the Pasadena location. read more

Still my favorite place to go for tires! There are a few places where I enjoy going to, but really don't want to find myself there too often. This place is one of them. It's been quite awhile since I've been here since I've been driving less and I also purchased a new vehicle, so I haven't had to get any new tires. The management seems to have changed since I didn't see the familiar faces. I have since come here twice in the past two months, unfortunately because I like driving on nails. Parking is a challenge because they're so busy, but I can find parking down the street - it's just a bit of a walk. On my first visit, my tire could not be patched but helped me make an order for the tire with a deposit. I ended up getting it replaced at the dealership because I wanted it done sooner if I could. I informed America's Tire and they refunded me my deposit. On my second visit, my tire could be patched (thankfully!). I was helped quickly and I was in and in 30 minutes. This is the type of service that I have always appreciated. In both cases, I had made an appointment. Shout out to Norman. Parking: it's tight, if you get there and the spots are full, you gotta street park. They will still come out to your car. I've switched here from Glendale location because there's actually less people who go to Pasadena's. Been here for several things but my last visit warranted a great review. I never had an issue with the attitude and mannerisms of the service reps as well as the actual techs. Shout out to Norman for spotting a fitment issue on my tires. I had aftermarket wheels and the tires that came with it were too stretched 235/40 vs 215/35OEM spec and inappropriate load class for my vehicle (electric). I had two tires replaced with the wrong fitment here and that shouldn't have occurred at all and he corrected it. I was going to switch all four tires eventually but I might as well have done it then and there. The service techs also working on my vehicle after it entered bay were really great. I have directional wheels and post powder coat the directions were the wrong way. I was able to catch them before they removed my wheels and asked them if they could just reposition to correct it. They did it no problem. They did have an issue with my center caps because it was sealed pretty tight but they were able to remove and replace it with no issues and without damaging my caps. So thankful! OEM air spec although I do like them a little more full for range but with the correct fitment i will probably keep the air spec stock. I did want to get ev specific tires for range, but they are a little bit more out of my budget so I ended up with Michelin defenders because they have less rolling resistance than the other options with more steering response. I've been a loyal customer at this America's Tire location and purchased two sets of wheels and tires from them over time. Unfortunately, I recently found out that an ongoing vibration issue during acceleration was caused by improper wheel balancing from this shop. The issue actually started with my first set of wheels, but I assumed it was related to my vehicle. After installing a second set of wheels and brand new tires, the exact same vibration remained. I finally decided to visit another trusted shop for a second opinion, where they discovered the balancing had not been done properly. They had to completely redo the balance and remove the previous wheel weights installed by America's Tire. After that, the vibration issue was finally resolved. I'm disappointed because I trusted this shop for a long time and spent a significant amount of money here. Was not sure if it was me or if he was having a bad day. Did all the research and picked the original factory size, he just went off the numbers on the tire on the vehicle without checking the original information for himself first. After i told him that i know i had the right tires ordered, he acted as if i told him how to do his job. To add insult to injury, I'm Deaf and made a few attempts to tell him, he didn't seem care or bother to make eye contact with me. My family has been using this location for as long as i can remember. I felt like I was wasting his time and every question I asked seemed to irritate him. He checked his phone every chance he could, which was weird bc we both knew it was dry! All four were overinflated, and each tire had a different pressure. I had to release the air myself one by one after I got home. Here's the receipt showing Costco rotating the tires two days after America's Tire refused to rotate the tires because they are trying to upsell you on buying new tires from them. America's Tire will tell you to come into their store (twice) for a free tire rotation and then refuse to do it and then try to upsell you on new tires. They will do this even if it wastes your time driving back and forth, just to get the opportunity to upsell you on new tires by refusing to rotate your tires. Both Juan, the assistant manager, and Norman, the senior manager did this. They prioritize greed for sales and will sacrifice authentic customer service. I got sideswiped and then went this location to have my rims checked. One of the guys (I should have gotten his name) removed the hubcap and assured me the rims were fine. He even offered to take it for a test drive, and I accepted.
