The guy inside the office was very nice and friendly and said he would look at it. He pulled it out and brought it to me to see. Since I bought the car used and hadn't changed the tires before, I decided it was a good time to replace all four. I started searching for an affordable shop with good tire pricing. After extensive online research and calling a few shops for quotes, I came across Pasadena Tire Pros. They gave me a quote over the phone for Pirelli tires, and based on my research, there was also a manufacturer rebate available. I asked whether they would honor the rebate, and they said they needed to check and would get back to me. A few days later, I received a call confirming that they would accept the rebate. That made the price very attractive, so I went in right away to get the tires replaced. The entire process took about 1.5 hours, and I spent the time walking around the area. Absolute TRASH! I called yesterday to get an estimate on a 150,000 mile tune up for my car.He said I have to bring it in so they can look at it in order to make an appointment. Weird but ok. So I have a 10 am appointment today. I go in, the man tells me they don't do 150,000 mile tune ups because that's all bs from car dealerships and doesn't really need to do all that. And said if he did everything the car manual suggests for 150,000 miles, it would cost me $6-7,000 dollars. Yes thousands. Without a single thing wrong with it. He said they do a complete inspection and let me know what's needed so it's not so expensive. That is NOT how you keep an old car running well, by ignoring the tune ups. I had already had a computer read out of a few codes I wanted them to check out and he said they would. Just leave the car with them for 3 hrs and they'd call me when it was ready. So I did. That was at 10 am. At 5:00 pm I still heard nothing and knowing they close soon, I caught an uber and went to see what's up. My car wasn't there, he said the mechanic was test driving it and that they found nothing wrong and just cleared the codes without checking on them because it's too difficult to get to the things they'd have to look at. And the check engine light wasn't on so that means it's fine. WTF?!?! I NEEDED A 150,000 tune up! Never gave me a price, told me my car ran fine I should be happy. I already knew it ran fine, I brought it for a friggin TUNE UP estimate!! Why are they all so stupid?!?! Needless to say, the mechanic brought my car back, handed me the keys, and I left. Not a single word was said so gawd knows what all they fvcked with but I know it wasn't right driving home. You can feel confident in knowing these stars are LIES, this place is garbage, and you will get screwed. read more

Came in for a brake and maintenance light check--left with a $7,000 estimate that didn't even mention either issue. I had high hopes, since we previously had a smooth oil change here and the location is super convenient. Henry and the tech I spoke with were polite and respectful. Before they even looked at the car, I told Henry I was on a tight budget. But the estimate they gave me included around $7,000 worth of work--most of which I hadn't asked for and wasn't essential. The maintenance light and brake check, which were the reasons I came in, weren't even mentioned on the printed or emailed estimate. I had to specifically ask about them, which left me wondering whether they'd actually been checked. When I came back to the shop to discuss the estimate, Henry said there was no brake issue and that I just needed an oil change--but again, that wasn't in the estimate either, and only came up when I asked. That made me question if the inspection had been thorough at all. Also, I had just gotten a synthetic oil change about 3,000 miles ago, with a 5,000-mile interval--so I'm still not sure if the maintenance light was even about the oil. To be fair, once I expressed that the $7,000 total was more than my car might be worth, Henry removed the non-essentials and brought it down to around $2,500. There was no pressure to proceed, and I appreciated that. But if I hadn't spoken up, the quote wouldn't have changed. I did need new tires, but I found better ones at Costco--installed--for $285 less than what was quoted. Oddly, after I left, my car started making a loud humming noise and vibrating when the AC was on high--something it had never done before. My mom noticed it too, even without me saying anything. I brought it back, and the tech quickly found and removed a mouse nest behind the cabin air filter at no charge, which resolved the issue. That was a generous gesture, and I appreciated how quickly they addressed it. But I'm still confused--why wasn't that vibration there before the visit? And how could a mouse nest cause such a loud vibration only when the AC was turned up--and why that's the only place they checked? On the advice of three friends who know cars well, I'm getting a second opinion at a trusted independent shop. I believe they've helped a lot of people, and I appreciated the friendly staff. But based on my experience, I left feeling uneasy and uncertain whether my priorities had really been heard--or fully checked. For that reason, this was a 2-star visit for me. read more

I developed a slight ticking noise in the left front wheel and I stopped and Henry checked the sound and determined that the wheel bearing needed replacing. Henry gave me an estimate for parts and labor which I felt was very reasonable and returned the next day and he had his mechanic replace all four bearings in the right and left front wheel assemblies. This is on an F350 Ford truck chassis. I watched his mechanic do the work and I was very impressed with his old school rolling toolbox which had every tool right within his reach and he did not have to go back-and-forth to get tools like many mechanics do that aren't fully prepared! I could tell by watching him that he knew exactly what he was doing and this was not the first time he had worked on heavy truck front end suspensions! I could tell that he knew exactly what he was doing and he was constantly wiping and cleaning as he worked something that I have never witnessed in such professionalism! As usual, I am once again extremely satisfied with the workmanship that I saw and the very reasonable pricing that Henry charged! I would recommend Tire Pros without reservations and when I need heavy truck work done I will return to Henry! read more
