Damaged rim

I brought my truck in for new tires and was shocked to find my rim scratched when I came to pick it up. I immediately reported it to the supervisor, who handled the situation very unprofessionally. Instead of acknowledging the issue, he outright denied that their machine could have caused the damage even after I explained that my rims were in perfect condition before the service. I showed him time-stamped photos and the service invoice, which had no pre-existing damage noted. Only then, and with visible frustration, did he grudgingly hand me a form to fill out-without so much as an apology. The lack of accountability and customer service was unacceptable. I expected much better from Costco, and unfortunately, 'll be thinking twice before returning to this location.

Free of service for all Costco members. YVETTE kindly offered to help me with my tire pressure issue. God bless her!

Reason #546789 why I'm happy to be a Costco customer -- My tire pressure light turned on this morning and I had no clue how to fix out my car issue (all of the nearby tire shops were closed). I remembered that Costco had an tire center but wasn't sure if I needed to schedule an appointment in advance in order to be seen. Car problems intimidate me but Yvette from the tire center was seriously so patient with me and showed me how to properly put air in my tires. The genuine passion to help out customers showed in her work. I came into Costco feeling doomed and left feeling hopeful and learned a few things about the tires on car! MANY MANY THANKS YVETTE!

Tires. tires. And more tires.

Ask the Community - Costco Tire Center

Quick question, does Costco tire dept do alignments? I want to purchase tires but don't see any info on alignment. Thank in advance for your replies.

Mounting aggressive tires on fresh wheels always makes you a little nervous -- especially with a setup like this -- but they handled everything with care and precision. No scratches, clean weights, and the balance is smooth at highway speeds. The alignment is spot on. Truck tracks straight, steering wheel is perfectly centered, and it drives tight without any wander. With Kings on the truck, alignment matters, and they clearly know what they're doing. Professional, detail-oriented, and no shortcuts. If you're running a dialed Tacoma setup and want it done right the first time, this is the place. Will definitely be back.

Purchased two Continental tires for the rear wheels of my BMW 535i…read more Good price and installation was good. My only concern was the wheel balancing for all 4 wheels and the 4 wheel alignment. The free wheel balancing was okay, but the ride was a but bit rough, especially at high speeds. The 4 wheel alignment was also okay because I saw the tech person pull it out of the stall and parked the car. He did not do a test drive. My Bimmer drove okay, but it didn't track. So I wasn't confident that the wheel alignment was properly done. I recently remedied the concerns by having the 4 wheels rebalanced and had a 4 wheel precision alignment done at another shop. Now my Bimmer tracks and rides really smooth... For tires purchase, this place is great.. But for tire services, from my experience, I would recommend to go somewhere else...

So now 15 minutes in and still haven't written it up or asked for my keys. I'm here for a rotation and balance so I don't expect it to take long. I'm on lunch and can't really be here for over an hour. He told me they should be able to get me out by 115. If they can do that , I will be happy. Right now though, I'm not all that happy since it feels like they burned 15 minutes of my time. By 1245 they have called me and measured my tread depth. This is little peeve of mine and it reminds me of a bigger one. No longer am I given the piece of paper that tells me what my tread depth was. What is the point then? If my tires are wearing unevenly, it would be nice to know about it and even better to know which tire. One of them was less than the others. Wearing faster. No idea which one and the receipt is worthless as it doesn't have that info. My bigger peeve is that when I had the tires installed I asked if they could tell me how much brake pad was left. Actually my girl was with the car and I asked her to ask them. She said they told her they can't do that. When I got there she and another customer told me it was due to liability. Now I didn't ask for them to make a judgement call on whether or not the brakes were good or bad or could go X miles. I just literally wanted a estimate measurement. The other customer coukdnt understand why I didn't want to accept the liability excuse and made sweeping statements about the trouble they could in. Let me make this part crystal clear for the sites and for the corporate lawyers. Ask yourself how much money you'll be liable for the day you refuse to tell a customer his brake pads were looking pretty slim, or let's say a couple mm left, and that person ends up dead or killing someone else 3 days later due to not stopping in time or some type of brake failure? They will sue and they will win stating that any reasonable technician would have recognized how dangerously worn the brake pads were and you refused to inform the customer, whether or not it's your business. So if that's policy to not say anything, I'd really rethink that. Seems like the liability is with not telling them. You tell them, you've done what would be reasonable. You refuse and you are opening yourself up to be cast as the next bad guy in court. So easily. They will crucify you. Think about it, corporate lawyer people. That's all I'm going to say on that. My car was done by 115. Guys at this store working in the bays showed a lot of hustle and cooperation. An exemplary crew of technicians. The service writer guys were good once they got to me but they would do well to achnowledge people when they walk in to let them know they are seen and will be helped soon. Can't ask for much better on a free service. Still would be nice to know those tread depths since you took the time to measure and all....

It's been quite awhile since I've been here since I've been driving less and I also purchased a new vehicle, so I haven't had to get any new tires. The management seems to have changed since I didn't see the familiar faces. I have since come here twice in the past two months, unfortunately because I like driving on nails. Parking is a challenge because they're so busy, but I can find parking down the street - it's just a bit of a walk. On my first visit, my tire could not be patched but helped me make an order for the tire with a deposit. I ended up getting it replaced at the dealership because I wanted it done sooner if I could. I informed America's Tire and they refunded me my deposit. On my second visit, my tire could be patched (thankfully!). I was helped quickly and I was in and in 30 minutes. This is the type of service that I have always appreciated. In both cases, I had made an appointment. Shout out to Norman. It was nice seeing you, but I hope I don't have to see you again for another 13,000 miles.

Despite being the only customer there, he was incredibly impatient when I asked for just 30 seconds to review my receipt before paying. I paid in cash and placed the $10 bills on the desk to count them accurately, which seemed to offend him. He actually told me 'nobody counts money that way' and lectured me about how he runs a 'professional' business and there was no need for me to review the receipt. In my experience with car repairs, verifying that all work and info are correctly documented is essential, so being pressured to skip that step was a huge red flag. He talked a lot about professionalism, but his behavior was anything but. Being friendly costs nothing and is the best way to gain a return customer, but Willie's failed completely on that front. I wanted to support this local business, but there is zero reason to return here. If you value being treated with basic respect, go somewhere else. There are plenty of other shops in the area that actually appreciate their customers.
