Scam!!! Sold me used tires as "new". This place is a scam. I paid for brand new tires, but they installed used ones without telling me. I only found out later when I tried to sell my car, other professionals could tell immediately the tires were secondhand. I called them, and they refused to admit it. We had our brakes replaced here in September. By July--less than a year later and under 13,000 miles--the left pad was screeching and the rotor showed visible damage. When I brought the car in, they confirmed the warranty is 12 months or 12,000 miles. Since I was just over the mileage, they said nothing would be covered and I'd have to pay out of pocket. I appreciated the upfront answer--I asked directly so I wouldn't waste time waiting around, and they were clear. That said, it's concerning that the brakes wore out this quickly. While driving conditions matter, I suspect the original work wasn't done properly. The staff was professional, though not especially welcoming. If you bring your car here, be aware: the warranty has a hard cutoff, and the workmanship may not hold up as long as expected. read more

Literally the kindest staff member ever. We picked up a nail in the rain and were in a bind to get home. We had an appointment with Pep Boys, but they rudely turned us away even after we showed our confirmation text. We had zero appointment with Firestone, and they were already closed -- yet Alex still stepped in to help us. He checked our tire and let us know it was repairable, but since the shop was closed, they could only fix it the next day. Because we live far away and needed to get back that night, Alex filled our tire with enough air to safely make it to another shop in the area. We're super thankful for Alex. His kindness turned a stressful situation around, and we'll definitely choose Firestone for any future emergencies thanks to their great customer service. read more

I went 2 times in 6 months for oil change and both times I was told to change my brakes fluid: the first time I did because I believed them, I didn't know if the first owner of my car had ever changed it so I trusted them, but the second time I realized it was a scam, it has to be changed every 40,000 miles or 2/3 years and it was only 6 months after I changed it and 4,000 miles. I was also told to do tire alignement, I went to a tire shop and they said my tires were perfectly aligned. If they wouldn't try to steal your money, the service overall is okay, but you need to be more honest with your customers guys. read more

Came in to this location after a horrible experience the previous week at the Alhambra location. Service was decent. I say decent because in the morning Austin was helpful. When it came time closer to afternoon, staff switched out and the two guys in the front were awful. Not helpful at all. I told them after I received the car back the wipers seemed short from the old ones, they tell me that's what they got on the system when I googled it it's a different size. The guys that were there didn't seem like they wanted to be there and that you're a nuisance to them. They just wanted to sit around and chat. Later on, I had paid for an inspection of the car to see the tire and brake levels to plan out when I need to get those serviced. I never received that report despite calling and asking for it again the following days. All they send is the invoice. Even when leaving that day they said they would email me everything and that never came. read more

Came to this Firestone's years ago and they helped me fix my car same day. Great service and get me up to date during the process. So I come back because of my first experience; it definitely was the complete opposite today. Came in for a simple oils change and tire rotation. I thank them for finding a nail in my tire; but am having a difficult time believing it had to take them 4 hours to get it done. Came in at 1:30 and got my car back at 5:40. But for $65, I can deal with the time. Biggest reason for the 3 star: brought two cars; the second one, we were advised to get new tires and that our coolant was low and needed to to be flushed as well. So opted in for both services. Being a former service advisor myself, I would also want to know why it's low and look for a leak. But this place did not; instead they conducted the flush without verifying if there's a leak. After the flush was done, we were told there's a leak in our coolant system. We were emailed out invoices; and noticed we were still charges a tire rotation after buying 4 new tires. My biggest complaint is; if you are going to charge a premium cost to the services offered; please have the premium services and the proper certified technicians to do so. A drain and fill should be charge/referred to as a flush when your business does not have a coolant exchanger to conduct the flush correctly. read more

TL/DR: Dent my door, broke my glovebox and dismissed me entirely. - It took three appointments before they were able to perform my alignment, each time I had to come to the store to find the store was closing early, or there wasn't enough time - I booked each appointment in advance and the store accepted each, and no one warned me not to come. - Wheel alignment was performed well. *Dent in Car Door* - In the process of performing the alignment a dent was put in my rear-passenger door which also chipped/scuffed the paint. The damage was mild but still irritating. I informed the site manager immediately as I got my car back, he called in the technician who insisted "he didn't even touch my door". They felt satisfied with the outcome and I got no where with the store after that. They directed me to go online to file a claim and clammed up after that. *Broken Glove Box* - A few days after, I opened my glove box and it dropped (the slow release wasn't working). On inspection, the plastic that the slow-release hooks into was broken off as though the glove box was forced out. (I change my air filter which is behind it, so I'm aware you need to unhook it before pulling the glove box out - but clearly the technician was not). There was no way the technician broke this tab and did not realize it - he chose not to say anything. I epoxy-ed it back on. - I filed a claim with Firestone online, got a claim number, and they said they'd reach out to me via phone - no word in over a week. At this point its no longer worth the effort, I've taken about $600-800 in damages and wasted a substantial amount of time. read more

They pulled my car up and pulled the tire off and it sat, for over an hour and 45 min before I started to get really upset. When I asked what the delay was, they said there was still ONE CAR AHEAD OF ME.... WTH! If I would have known would be sitting here over for over 2 hours I would have left before the took the tire off and trapped me here..... now it's 2 hours and 10 min.... I had one of the most worst experiences during my visit on Saturday, Dec 23rd at 9am. The store location is 1110 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91106-1403 I was in for a 4 wheel alignment and your representative told me I add to pay an additional $10 to check if they can do the alignment due to my car being 1994. That's one of my issues Another issue is that if my car can be aligned then $10 cannot be use towards the alignment cost. Checking the alignment and doing the alignment should not be an extra cost. Rather than take responsibility, they told me that if I could get the car there (which I couldn't, since you can't drive on a totally flat tire) and if I could prove that it was the same tire they had patched, they would fix it. When I asked for them to have it towed, since I couldn't drive there, they refused. The manager never called me to fix their mistake and it took many calls to their national customer service line to get a new tire put on. If you go here, you better hope they get things right the first time, as they won't take any responsibility to fix their mistakes. My appointment was for 8am and finally my vehicle was looked at after 10am, but normally they are good with time, but I guess they were busy even with appointment. Again been coming here almost 10+ years with my vehicle and wifey's too. Overall will continue to come here, because staff is always nice and professional. I clicked to use the coupon, then clicked through to make an appointment at that specific location; this coupon is literally the only reason I went there for my oil change. When I arrived, I said that I had the $39.99 coupon; the guy said he would apply it. An hour later, when I returned for pickup, my bill was over $90. The guy at the register (not the previous guy) said the coupon was only for traditional oil. Nope! Showed him the coupon. He went and spoke to the manager, returned, said, "If you read the fine print, you'll see it's at select locations." I asked to speak to the manager myself (apologizing profusely for being "that guy"), who told me they wouldn't honor the coupon and offered to discount down to $76, still nearly double the advertised price. I had a flat tire on Wednesday and went to Firestone Pasadena (1110 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91106) to have it replaced. I then called a towing service to transport my car to the store. When the tow truck arrived, they inflated my tires, and I noticed the sensor reading on my screen. My car need a run-flat tire. However, later, when I arrived at the store, they don't have run-flat tire in stock. So technician assured me that a regular tire would suffice and there would be no risk in using it. And he told me the run-flat tire cannot be repaired. However, after he changed the tire, my car's tire pressure warning continued to indicate low pressure, and the sensor failed to display any readings. The firestone's manager Travis Grover attempted to reset it and advised me to drive and wait for the resetting process. After driving for an hour to the Lexus store, the tire pressure warning persisted, with no tire pressure readings displayed. I contacted Lexus for an inspection, and they reported that my sensor was completely missing. In addition, the Lexus technician informed me that a regular tire is not suitable for my car and that run-flat tires actually can be repaired. I believe the Firestone technician was attempting to deceive and trigger me into making a purchase. Furthermore, I noticed that the car was not very stable when driving with the regular tire. Then I took off the regular tire and got a run-flat tire in Lexus official store. I returned to the Firestone store on Friday, where they claimed to have seen the sensor and provided me with a report as evidence. However, on Saturday morning, I came back to the firestone store, and they changed their words and said the sensor was not present when I initially arrived to have the tire changed. It's ridiculous, they even gave me a report to state the sensor was there. If the sensor wasn't there when I arrived, how it showed the number of tire pressure on screen when the towing service inflated my tires, and why they didn't report the missing of the sensor. I have a report from Lexus confirming the absence of the sensor on Friday afternoon, as well as a report from Firestone stating that the sensor was indeed there on Friday night. I reasonable suspect that something happened to my sensor while it was in Firestone's. read more

I needed an oil change and tire rotation before going on a road trip and was a little pressed for time. I made an appointment a few days before and managed to get an early morning booking. I arrived early, they took my car right away and in a little over an hour my car was done! The man working at the front desk helped me decide between a blend and synthetic oil for my Prius C and explained the differences well enough for me to understand. My car took a little longer than usual because they needed to get a filter that they did not have on hand but it was still much faster than the Toyota Dealership that I went to last time! These guys claim they can't align lifted or lowered vehicles. Lowered I understand because they become difficult to load on to the car lift required for the alignment...but a 1.5inch lift over stock? Give me a break. The mechanics are too lazy to even get up to check out the car. If I hadn't mentioned the lift they probably would have called me back 2 hours later just to tell me they won't do the alignment. Instead they focus on pushing tires and credit cards on people just to stay afloat. Firestone, you're throwing away business. There was no one in there except I and one other vehicle. I'm a server struggling in college and I had to sign up for their stupid credit card to get service or else they wouldn't let me leave with my car. That was the first time the second time the car tells you you have all these benefits like $100 off and they have a huge shine outside that says you spend $600 you get $100 off etc etc come to find out they charge me full price using this card on top of Interest so there's that and then just to find parts of my engine on my passenger seat one of my paying for.
