I've come in twice and honestly it's really bad how much they charge you for things. I'm a server struggling in college and I had to sign up for their stupid credit card to get service or else they wouldn't let me leave with my car. That was the first time the second time the car tells you you have all these benefits like $100 off and they have a huge shine outside that says you spend $600 you get $100 off etc etc come to find out they charge me full price using this card on top of Interest so there's that and then just to find parts of my engine on my passenger seat one of my paying for. They're very unresponsive and they don't tell you anything they're just like you your keys okay good luck read more

I never thought I'd say this about an auto care store but I love it here. I usually avoid places like this at all cost lol but when I went in with a flat tire I was quickly helped by Karissa and Vic. Chris was amazing and helpful today. It seemed really busy as wait times were 2 ~ 2 1/2 hours for every customer but he managed to get my car's oil change done in an hour after I told him that I had an appointment. He explained and answered my questions and I liked the way he recommended certain services that I should get but didn't force it. As other workers that i've had an interaction with would use the scare tactic to get you to pay more. I've had my fair share of bad experiences here like waiting 5+ hours but wanted to write a review since I had a positive experience thanks to Chris. Hope he continues to work here! read more

We needed to drive back to San Francisco early morning but unfortunately woke up to discover a flat tire. My husband called around to a handful of places and finally got ahold of Firestone - he said the team was extremely helpful as they were able to patch the tire right away. They didn't try to take advantage of the situation and sell him a new tire (which would've been unnecessary) and instead they were honest and helped out ensuring he could drive all the way home safely. My car had a nail stuck in the tire. I showed up after close (the hours online are wrong, they close at 6) and they set an account up for me and overfilled my tire so I could come in the next day. I did, and they patched and repaired the tire completely for free. I know nothing about cars and it would have been very easy for them to try to upsell me, but they were professional, patient, and very kind. I will be coming back in the future for sure! read more

I did an online order of 4 tires and set the appointment to get the tires installed. When I arrived there the manager (Demetri) seemed really frustrated and seemed bother by everyone there. There was a customer and he was upset and was asking this manager (Demetri )questions and Demetri could care less about it, it seemed like it. When it was my turn I said to him, I purchased tires online and set the appointment to get them installed. he looked it up and said I don't have the tires did not offer any suggestion or help he was not happy working there and it show on his body language and the way he was responding to me and to other customers. He is cold, unfriendly and downright uninterested on helping his customers. I said Well do you have any other tires similar and he replied yes so he checked on them he said wait, he was doing something on the computer and later said I don't have them ether but I can get them in tomorrow by 9-10 similar price as the other tires and I said sure let's get them. I came in the next morning at 8 left the car with him and around 12 noon I came to pick up the car. Up on my arrival I said to him I'm here to pick up the car he said oh I forgot the delivery department does not deliver on holidays. I just about had it with him and said why did you not called me to tell me this. I said have you seen your reviews? I have had nothing but bad feeling about your company from the moment I saw you, your attitude towards your customers is horrible you show no concern, you offered no apologies for your companies mismanaging your supplies. Not one's did you said I am sorry for the inconvenience. Your body language is that of someone who hates his job and it show on the way you are managing this store and the little care you show for your customers. You are not friends, you offer no apologies, you offered no sympathy or solutions for your mistakes and further you are extremally bother by your customers I will never buy anything from this store. Do not come to this Firestone in Pasadena. I had an appointment at 5PM for a wheel alignment. I arrived 30 minutes earlier at 4:30PM. The employee said they close at 5PM when their website clearly says that they close at 6PM. The employee came up with an excuse that they can not fulfill my appointment because they are short staff. I had to call AAA because my battery died as I was on my way to pick up my daughter from school. The AAA and told me I would need a new battery but first I would have to change the terminals. The guys at the FireStone and Pasadena were so kind and easy and at the end when we were about to pay her bill they said it's on the house the manager actually authorized it,what a great gift! A stroke of good luck allowed me to get a fast tire replacement today, as this store was open later in the afternoon (compared to other places in the area) when I discovered a nail in my tire and they weren't very busy. The staff member said it would take over an hour, but they ended up working on my car early and I was out of there in about 30 minutes. Efficient, friendly service for me today. I'd like to take a moment to mention about Travis at this Firestone location: Got a nail in my rear driver side tire and went to two different places (more on that later) but ended up here at Firestone on Colorado and I'm glad I did! Mind you this is on a Sunday and Travis at the front desk was more than helpful. I related the problem and he checked me in and patched the tire from the inside (not just a simple 'plug' and go) which involves removal of the wheel then tire. I was ready to pay for the nail repair and patch work, in all honesty I was thinking that I was in for some spending which I previously hadn't planned on doing since the shop where I bought my tires closed on Sundays. Afterwards Travis handed me the keys and I asked "how much do I owed?" and his words were "we don't charge". Well that tells you how professional the guy is compared to the two other places I went to earlier in attempt to get my girlfriend's car back in order for long commutes starting Monday. That said, I initially went to some 'Tire Depot' further east on Colorado and a couple of (lazy) guys say they are booked until Monday while their lot was fairly empty. They recommend the 'Boys' further west and as I went, the guy at the counter told me the same thing - all booked and said try across the street. I hopped on over to Firestone and they were able to help without questioning even though they were busy. I guess they are busy for a reason. I was told to contact their support to find a resolution. No resolution at all. I've been waiting for a reply since January 29th. This company only cares about their inventory and not fixing their faults. They offer 1 tire discount instead of actually providing a solution. "Spend more so we can help you." Or they offer a free alignment instead of replacement so they won't lose inventory. "It's a $250 value. You should take it." No, thank you. Alignment for a punctured tire? Smart. Took my car in for an oil change, when I got home I smelled oil burning and when I opened the hood I found oil splashed in the compartment with the oil cap left off. Fortunately I had a short drive before I found the problem and did not lose much oil. I returned to Firestone and they cleaned the compartment. Terrible service. Called and made an appointment for an oil change the next morning. They said it would take only 30 minutes to get the job done. When I showed up on time, they said it would take about 1 to 1.5 hour. Rather than making the trek back home, I left the car with them and they said they would call when the car was ready. Three hours go by, no call. When I finally called, they said, "Oh. Your car has been ready and we called you." I checked my call log and VM, and confirmed there was no call. Very disappointing. They were some really nice people, but I was caught off guard when they charged $105 to diagnose a problem, which isn't the issue. The issue is that it did not count towards the actual repairs. Most other mechanics would charge this fee to figure out what the problem is, but that $105 would be taken off of the repair job and they would keep it if you decided not to do it. funny enough, the repair job cost more than if I were to take it to an actual dealership. read more

My husband and I have been servicing our cars here for about a year. The service manager, Levon, is always attentive, understanding, and professional with all of our vehicles' (and our) needs. During one visit, my car needed a routine battery change, which messed with the manufacturer installed alarm system (an issue for me in the past). The car wouldn't start because of this issue, after the new battery was installed. I had to call the alarm system company's representative to come out and fix the alarm issue. Levon and his team were able to see humor in the situation, and were extremely patient with me, while my car was unnecessarily taking up space in their garage. Yes, they do sometimes recommend services that aren't urgently needed. That being said, they have always been accommodating when I ask questions about how to prioritize certain services, in order to adjust my finances appropriately. I feel like this particular Firestone, and the fine people who work there, have taken great care of us, and excellent care of our cars. read more

Needed to get a brake job for a fleet van. This was the closest shop from my house so I decided to bring it here. The brakes never made any noises however when the van hit the 30,000 mile mark it displayed a diagnostic on the dash to service the brakes. Brought the van here where they performed a complete four brakes, brake job. After they got done with it the brakes made the loudest noise that sounded as if a train were braking from a fast rate of speed. I went back to the shop and they told me that the brakes needed "time to settle in" and that I should give it another "2-3 weeks" to see if they still were screeching after that time frame. Sure enough they still were loud after several weeks. I brought the van back and left it for a day and when they called me to pick it up I arrived at the shop and they just handed me the keys. I asked them what the issue was out of curiosity and they failed to give me a valid explanation of what (if any) work was done. The brakes are still loud as ever and I guess they will stay that way until the next brake service diagnostic. It is very unpleasant driving a vehicle that sounds like that. Next time I will take my business to the Pep Boys that is located across the street from them since this Firestone location is unable to perform a successful brake job. read more

Hi Firestone of Pasadena: I am very pleased with the cost and service for both front and rear brake pad service. I usually get my service at the original dealer where I purchased the vehicle, but they gave me a quote of $600.00 for the front and rear brakes. A coworker referred me to Firestone and I am glad she did. I ended up paying a little more than half the price the dealer was asking for. I do agree about the long wait time that other yelpers have discussed in their reviews. I arrived at 7am and waited until 11am, but I rather the serviceman do a good job than a rushed job. This is another difference I noticed from the dealer. I am used to waiting no more than an hour and a half at the original dealer, but overall I would rather save that money. The main serviceman was polite and friendly. I would recommend them but just plan accordingly and plan for someone to pick you up and come back when your vehicle is ready. Brought my car in for service. The usual tire rotation low psi reading on the dash sensor. Yadayadayada... Come to find out there was a nail in 1 of the tires, so they pull the nail, patch the tire, and scratched the shit outta the rim. Damn! When I confronted them about it they told me it wasn't their fault and to basically go and fuckmyself.. or off or whatever terminology that they used. So I email, corporate because I knew these people at this location would not own up to their mistake. Long story short I was sent back to said location to talk to Travis in management, and he was no where to be found so the sent this other dude Adam check the rims. He takes his nail and begins to scratch and further chip whatever the alloy is and making it worst claiming that this is just dirt. Then sprays windex on them as if that's going to do anything. Basically I'm saying that when putting your trust in these people please realize that you are dealing with a bunch of bozos that could careless about you and your property. I took my car in to have a puncture tire repaired. The sales person told me that puncture was too close to the sidewall and I would need to replace the tire. He did not have a matching tire but could order one for me. Something did not seem right to me. The puncture was well on the tread, and not even close to the sidewall. An experience that blew me away! I was driving out of town and I got a flat tire around noon. I stopped by Firestone Complete Auto Care in Pasadena and man, I am shocked at how good their service is. They examined my tire, explained that it was not repairable due to the fact it was driven on damaging the sidewall and if repaired, it could pose safety concerns. I got a new tire and they checked out my car for free and let me know that my coolant was low and the brake fluid was needing exchanged out because it was corrosive. Even recommended an alignment due to the uneven tire wear I was experiencing and showed me that my alignment was off! I got the alignment done and felt like my car was brand new after. They refilled the coolant for me as a courtesy, exchanged the brake fluid, and addressed the tire wear problem. They were transparent, efficient, understanding, and really took good care of my car and myself as well. They even gave me a $50 coupon off the next time I come in for service, wow! If you don't go to Firestone, you are surely missing out and your car is too. I don't know why other people are complaining about taking care of their car. Firestone will let you know what needs to be addressed and why it should be addressed to avoid future problems. The whole crew in the front of the store are knowledgable and professional. And the technicians who work on your car will treat it like their own by taking the best care of it possible. I highly suggest you go to Firestone in Pasadena. read more

This place is a ripoff trying to take advantage of people that don't know much about cars. I visited this shop 3 times in 3 days. I live right around the corner and I only considered going there because its convenient to walk to/from while waiting. I am a fairly knowledgeable DIY mechanic and I have done alignment on a rack myself so I know what it takes. Day 1 I was having trouble installing some control arms on my 2006 Porsche Cayenne S so I walked in there to ask for a quote to install the arms for me. They said that they wouldn't be able to do that work nor do they install customer-supplied parts and suggested I go to a Porsche specialist. Ok, fair enough, although its 4 bolts per side and exactly the same parts as on a VW Touareg or Audi Q7. Day 2 I finished installing the control arms myself and needed to get it aligned. I took it in at about 4 pm when they close at 7 pm and they said they wouldn't be able to work on it that evening and they wouldn't let me make an appointment for the next day. They suggested I drop it off in the morning and they would have it done around lunch time, which actually was fine with me. Day 3 I came in to drop off the car for alignment, I told the guy at the front desk what the car was, he looked something up in his computer, and then quoted me $400 for an alignment! I tried to ask why so much and explained that they only have to adjust the same 6-8 eccentric bolts like on any other car and he said, "I don't know, I guess it just takes longer to adjust". So I immediately walked out of there and called a couple other places. Island Tires & Service where I usually take my track car for alignment quoted me $165 and I ended up taking it to Jerry's Tire shop down the street who charged only $105. I can recommend either of those honest shops for any tire or alignment work. I then came home and looked up a quote for alignment on Firestone's own website, entered my vehicle information, and out pops a quote for $94. They tried to gouge me by 425% over what their own system says they should charge! Customer service is what I look for ( as well as price). That being said, I had an appointment this morning to swap out my new SUV's tires and arrived early. It was obvious that I interrupted breakfast and the young man who seemed not to care about the sale told me that the tires that fit my vehicle were not available until 3 hours later. I then asked why wasn't I called as I had requested on my online appointment request to confirm the tires were available and would fit? He then told me that I had requested a larger size (1 size wider) and they were not there yet. Again, he avoided answering my question and then said that there are no shops showing my tires available even with the stock size. When I pressed him to let me know if the requested tire would fit, he replied that he didn't know until the tire arrived and he had to mount it. I asked when the delivery would be, and he said he would have to send his driver to get them. After his lack of customer service, I then went to think of what to do and remembered that my wife called another Firestone shop and they actually wanted our business! It's 9:04am and my tires are being swapped as we speak with no appointment on the Friday before a holiday. Pasadena... you messed up and for what?... the lack of customer service. read more

Maybe the worst place in the state. On Thursday, I hit a pot hole. Had a flat. Changed to a spare. Dropped it off at this location and told them what happened. I went to this location because its 5 minutes from my office. They said they have a refurbished wheel, a new tire and alignment will be $1200. They kept the car until the next day. I picked it up around 5pm Friday, went back to work, parked the car. Around 8pm, I left work and drove home. The first right turn, I heard dull knocks from the passenger side. Another right turn, the same sound. I was pissed. Firestone was closed and I could not leave my car in Pasadena overnight. I drove home at 20 miles an hour and avoided all right turn. On Sunday, I came back to this location. 8am, they were not opened. Waited outside until 830am then drove to work. I called at 9am and they gave me terrible excuse why they did not open on time. I drive back and left the car. 4 hours later I called and they told me the wheel they installed is scratched, dented and it must be my fault. The guy I spoke to flat out blamed me and told me I was a liar. I was shocked. I've been in customer service my entire life and this is the first. He told me there were all kinds of problems with the mechanism surrounding the wheel and there is a leak. He claimed I must have hit something! He claimed it must be my fault because I did not bring it back on Friday when I first heard the sound.... even though they were closed. He was not interested in the fact that they missed or messed up something. I asked for a refund and told them to remove the wheel and tire. I will contact corporate and I will ask for chargeback through my bank. This place is terrible. Update: Took my car to my regular mechanic and he confirmed that Firestone gave me the wrong wheel and tire. read more

Zero star only to this store and custom service! We have let Firestones @Baldwin park and Arcadia take care of cars of our family for over ten years. Although some more expensive, they did nice job, treated us respectfully, and earned our trust. Recently my car had some small Freon leakage (last a few days after every recharge), As Arcadia Firestone is not certified to work with Freon, they recommended the Pasadena store. I went to this Pasadena store without hesitate because of this long-term trust. However, this turned out to be a nightmare. They misdiagnosed the issue and charged me thousands $ to replace condenser. My AC still didn't work, after THREE visits to this store, they told me to go to dealer to fix compressor seal. I was very upset, and filed complain to Firestone custom service. A guy called me (626 number) and only offered partial refund. Worst of worst, he treated me very rudely, he talked like a dictator, no wiliness to listen to my explanation. He literally yelled at me couple times during the phone call because he thinks I shouldn't talk without his permission. Needed run flat tires. They were on stock. Not cheap. Other recommendations were appreciated. I wanted to buy 2, but realized a third tire was needed. They also replaced the cabin filter, and the air is better. Timing was right too. I came in Friday afternoon to make an appointment, and they had me in the next morning, and it was all done by 12 noon. This must have been my 4th or 5th time getting tires here. I like these guys. I've come here a bunch over the years and they've been really helpful. Granted I don't know much about cars but mine hasn't broken down right after coming here - it has after going to two other places. They usually tell me what they're going to do and how much it will cost and they have not always charged me to trouble shoot a problem even though I would have expected to pay. Their time estimates have been very accurate and I appreciate that they have yet to ask me to add on BS services to jack up the price which has happened at several other places. This is an intangible quality that is hard for me to describe-you know how you can talk to someone and you immediately can sense they're sleezy and going to hose you? Yeah so i don't get that vibe here which is nice. While I don't typically write a 5 star review for a service I can't independently evaluate-I have nothing negative to say about Firestone in Pasadena so they clearly deserve 5 stars. read more

The tow took longer than expected and the tow driver just wound up putting a spare on instead. I drove right over to Firestone - they had waited for me even despite it being almost closing time! They were professional and super helpful. I knew right when I got there I came to the right place! New tire on my car and off I went. If I ever need anything in the future I'll be back here. No one explained the price to me they just hit me with an $1100 bill at the end and were extremely rude. Prior to the pandemic, i wouldn't have given a 5. The problem was that they always had new people working so it was very inconsistent with service. It would have been about a 3.5. But yesterday, my first time back, i gave them a call about alignment and tires that I've been shopping for already at Americas Tire and Discount tire Center. Already had good quotes. I called, and Demetri was nice and told me about specials only for the next few days. Got me a great price on lifetime alignment (should have gotten it sooner) and was able to come really close to the price on tires. When combined with getting everything done all at once, I said go for it, BUT they had to get me out in 75 min to put new tires on and get an alignment cuz i HAD to pickup my kid from daycare. Demetri promised and Estaban the alignment tech delivered in 70 min. What took the longest was that there was a Tesla on the alignment bay and that took extra time! Come on Tesla! Can't you self align your car after you self drive and self park and self charge? Anyways for now, it's a 5. I even went back the next day cuz my TPS light went off. Probably cuz I got the tires in the hot part of the day and in the AM, pressure went down. They checked me right away. Didn't even turn off the engine. Pumped a little more air and reset the TPS. Now just hoping all stays good. Will be back every 6 months for rotate/balance/alignment and hope these tires last longer than the rating. read more

Had my tires installed from Firestone . I ordered online and got it shipped directly to this location . The installation charges were just $90 , I think it was pretty good deal . The staff is very helpful and friendly . Got the job done perfectly . Two days later one of my tire got flat and I called this location . They were happy to look at it and explained me the tire is irreparable and suggested me to get new tire. Luckily I had tire protection . They called the insurance and explained the reason for damage and why it canner be repaired and help me file the claim . Got my new tire and installed it same day ! That was pretty awesome help . I highly recommend this location for tire services and 5 stars for all the service professionals . Thank you ! read more
