This shop was recommended by a local parts store. I've gone here for oil changes for the past 2 years and will continue to go there. Last time I had a bad experience where they did not remove the skid plate on my car and I had a LOT of oil dumped on it - and then leaking in my driveway. That was unprofessional. Beware that they will try to sell you additional services after an oil change. Every mechanic will do this so don't be surprised. They don't make much money on oil changes. Get a second opinion and don't feel pressured. An oil change requires an appointment and it will take them 1 hour to 1.5 hours. My car was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy overdue for an oil change (going on 8k miles, DON'TJUDGEME), and this place was nearby and I found a coupon online for $10 off. Hey, why not? I called ahead, and the girl who answered said that they were free so I could just drop by. I did just that, and they took my car immediately. My car was in and out of there before I knew it, and my baby feels much better now! I would definitely go back, especially if they have another coupon! read more

I went there a couple of months back to change my tire. I scraped a bit of it on a curb and a piece of it popped out. It was in decent shape to drive to the garage to get fixed. Firestone, Bellevue changed my tire and also told me that my pressure sensor was broken and charged me for that as well. I thought this was fishy because clearly my tire did not look like it was in that terrible a shape. The pressure sensor light on my dashboard turned on after this. When I asked them, the manager said, something is off. Bring it by Saturday and we will look at it. Ok. Now this happens and I went to Les Schwab for a regular check up of my tires. They said the pressure sensor wrong for my tire and not even reading it. Also, when I asked them, they said pressure sensors only break in really bad accidents. It is, however easy to break them if you do not know how to change a tire and change it wrong. I went back to Firestone, Bellevue and spoke to James who was extremely curt and rude. I called Firestone, Kirkland that fixed my tire without charge. In other words, Firestone, Bellevue CHARGED ME FOR A JOB POORLY DONE, MORE FOR SOMETHING THEY BROKE AND THEN SPOKE TO ME VERY RUDELY WHEN I CONFRONTED THEM ABOUT IT. Do not go there. You have been warned. I would skip this place and go to Firestone, Kirkland or another service. read more

I don't do business with businesses who lie. When I called, to get a fan motor and a brake light fixed, the woman told me that it would be $146 for the diagnostic, and she thought she could role both issues diagnostic into one fee. When I got there, the gentleman at the counter indicated no, it would be $146 per item, and so I'm at almost $300 before they even fix anything. I told him that my phone call was clear, and the woman was very pleasant, and what she told me. He said no, two diagnostic charges. End of story. He had opportunity to go back and double check what the woman told me, but he didn't offer and to me that's reprehensible. You don't tell people one thing then do another. On top of that, just to get my car into these folks I had a two hour drive, had to arrange for not having a car that day for work, had to change other obligations. This was not a small thing. Now I've had to deal with that, I don't have a fixed car, and now I've got to find someone else that's honest to do the work. Not a good experience. read more

These guys were awesome! Made a call to see if they had a battery in stock and was helped by James. He had just seen the battery I needed in the back but double checked just in case. Since I was planning on coming in pretty soon, he created a service record for me and it was all ready by the time I arrived! I opted to perform an electrical system check while I was there, just in case. I was pretty sure it was just the battery but for $25 I wanted to be sure. They estimated no more than an hour until the system check was done and new battery was installed. So I headed over to a little coffee shack on the SE corner of the parking lot, which was awesome! I received a call after they electrical system test was done, maybe 20 minutes after I left, to inform me that the battery was the only thing that needed servicing and that I was about a quart low on my oil. Once I gave the go-ahead they called me back about ten minutes later tellin' me it was ready to go and they had also filled all my tires and checked all of the treads as well! When I picked it up the car was locked and the parking brake was on! If you've ever had your vehicle serviced before, you know this isn't always the case. These guys are life savers. Literally. I had an oil change and brake pad replacement the day before at my regular Firestone closer to my home. When I arrived home, I noticed a burning smell, but I couldn't locate the source. The next day, during my morning commute to work, I noticed smoke coming out of my wheel wells and a strong burning smell. I immediately pulled into the Bellevue Firestone. Even though they were short staffed and busy, the lead tech inspected my truck while I waited for a coworker to pick me up. He determined the fault was with Firestone and he replaced the damaged parts at no charge. My truck was ready to go before the end of my work day. There were a lot of ways this could have gone and I was really impressed with this shop's professionalism and empathy for my situation. Decided to give this place a 2nd chance after going there for a simple oil change and radiator flush and only getting a oil change and filter for $158. Big mistake!!! Harvey Firestone would be rolling in his grave. This time I wanted a simple tire rotation and vehicle inspection for the $10 advertised price and some windshield wipers and the main reason was for the tire rotation . What transpired is again I did not have the maintenance performed on my vehicle that I had requested. Came here just because I had a lifetime wheel alignment. No problems in the past but soon after I dropped the car off they said I had a frozen jam nut. Costs 150 to remove and if they break it it'll cost an additional 250 to repair. I declined the service since I thought they would break it no matter what. When I went to pick up my car another customer was complaining that his alignment after taking it to firestone was worse than before. The customer service was horrible and instead of trying to please customers, she argued right back. Funny thing is...she was wrong when the actual mechanic came out and corrected her. So I was in need of new tires TERRIBLY and wanted to go somewhere that wasn't too far from my work. The hours here are like 7-7 which is really convenient because I'm totally fine either waking up early (I workout in the morning anyway) or hanging around the area after work to let traffic die down. I did decide to call ahead to make an appointment for new tires because I didn't want to run the risk of running late to work or anything. The staff seems very nice and they just so happened to have a special going on for tires I needed, which made it A LOT more affordable for me. I'd say it's my go to place for tire needs! read more

I came here in July to change the oil on my 01 Highlander. I made an online appointment, where I indicated my car was the V6 option. Going into the service center, I told the man again it was a V6, and waited the hour for the change be finished. When I got home and looked at the bill, I notice that sure enough, they underfilled the oil by a quart. It's clear they didn't follow instructions, as the 4 cylinder model takes one quart less of oil. They should be more careful with checking the engine type. The highlander even has the words "V6" on it. Reading the other reviews, I can see how this business is being run. read more

My husband and I have been taking our vehicles to this location for a few years now. We are 100% satisfied with the sales and service we receive. We feel that we always get a fair and honest estimate. We have to keep in mind that the prices are not set at the store level and these prices are not negotiable. Mason, the store manager, always advises us on a timeline, so to speak, so we can see what repairs or service will be due coming up so we can plan for it. I am certain this place is great for any routine maintenance items. However I'd stay away( or seek a second opinion) before doing anything major they reccomend. Case in point:- my battery died and I went in to replace it. During the process they said my alternator was busted. The guy at the counter is a smooth talker and he will use anything to make his point e.g. in my case he said " you dont want to be driving your family around in this car" when I'd mentioned I had a daughter in pre-K. In short, know your options and never feel pressurized to do what they tell you to. Also dont blame them for being unethical ; its just business as usual. read more

My family has trusted this location for over a decade. Driving on four, relatively new tires purchased from this location, I went in to have a flat fixed. After informing me that they could not repair the flat, they went on to explain that because I have an all-wheel-drive, I was required to replace all four tires. I was stunned and had a hard time believing what I was hearing. A second person jumped into the conversation tell assure me that my car would be damaged if I did not replace all four tires. Ultimately I believed what I was being told and bought four new tires. Today, after some research, I find that while the manufacturer of the car says replacing all four is "best", it is not necessary and I could replace just the two front or two back tires. I am furious. This location, apparently a regional store and offices, has completely lost the years of trust they has built up - all in a quick afternoon's work. We won't take another vehicle here and unless you know more than they do, I wouldn't recommend anyone else take their vehicle there either. read more

I judge any car care by first, the customer service when I come in, and second- if I feel I am treated like a person rather than be seen as a dollar sign to be bamboozled into getting services I don't need. I was helped by Paul. I explained my financial situation was not very good, and he worked with me to fine a reasonable solution for tires. He got the discount and the pro-rated amount from my firestone Tires bought 5 years ago. We discussed ratings, winter driving, pro's and con's for the mid-range prices and next higher up group of tires. I never felt pressured. I felt informed and also cared about. I felt he was working to help me and not make money off me. I had a very good experience because of his care. They followed up like they said they would. They finished when they said they would. Conclusion first: Quality of their services are pretty poor. They just want customers spend more money but not provide equivalent services. They tell you need to replace some parts even they are working fine still!! I visited this auto shop last Nov for regular maintenance, and they changed transmission oil / engine oil. They also highly recommend their lifetime tire alignment service, and I bought it. All numbers on their report looked normal. Thickness of inner/central/outer sides of each tire are the same. Front brake pad thickness is "10". Mileage at that time is 73K mi. I visited them in 7/2 again for oil change. Mileage is 79K around (I drive 6K in 8 months). I used my car for commuting only. This time they did a lot of checks and recommend I need to replace all four tires, brake pads, and two rotors. They declared front brake pad thickness is 5~6 only and it's very dangerous. Thickness of each tire are terrible. For example: front right tire is 8-8-8 last Nov, and it's down to 5-8-6. After this check, I let another mechanic double check my car. He said my brakes are totally fine - 80% still. Only one tire needs to be replaced. I can still use other three tires at least 1 yr. For safety consideration, I still replace all four tires in another auto shop. Since I have purchased their lifetime alignment service, I did another tire alignment in this firestone on Friday. Today I found if my steering wheel is totally straight, my car will go right a little bit. I need to "manually" adjust direction all the time. I don't know the reason is their skills are bad; or they found that I don't buy tires from them so they just screwed it up. I will try tire alignment in another auto shop. Don't let your car take any risks with them. The more you paid them, the more you will pay later because they can get service done well! read more

They were smart enough to get rid of James. He was the most difficult manager to work with. I used to come here all the time to get my oil changes along with other minor things I didn't find worth driving all the way down to south Seattle to my mechanic...However, after servicing 4 of our cars here my family has decided to stop coming here altogether after a number of ridiculous situations that arose from their scheduling and management. Not once, but two times consecutively I had scheduled an appointment for an oil change. I took time off work..... but when I arrived for my scheduled appointment James turned me down with the excuse that they were too far behind schedule and could not fit me in. So in other words, EVEN though I had an appointment booked and took time off from work, other customers who had more expensive work took precedence over me. James never even apologized, he just shrugged and said that's what happens sometimes. I let it go the first time, but then James pulled this trick a second time on me about four months later. A second time I scheduled time off work to get an oil change and had an appointment. He turned me down when I got there yet again telling me they were too far behind schedule. The worst part? They never even bothered to call me ahead to let me know both times. The least they could have done was to let me know the day of. That way I would only lose wages from taking time off from work instead of both wages and gas and travel. Nope, he had no consideration at all. James showed absolutely no respect towards a regular customer of many years. And to think he was the GM. So many ridiculous things wrong with the way he handled these situations. And no apology the second time either. When I told him that my time is valuable and that he should respect his customers more, his answer was - "You didn't even have to drive that far to get here. I drive an hour north everyday just to get to work!" As if that is supposed to rectify the terrible customer service?? I would NOT recommend this shop. read more

Made an appointment (noon) with them to change winter and all seasons. Called on the appointment day morning to verify and asked them if they wanted me to come in later or sooner. They told me to come at my appointment time. When I got there the rep told me there is wait time of 2-2.5 hours. I told them I made an appointment days in advance so I do not have too wait that long. His response was they had a tire sale and got swamped. This guy's customer service skills was abysmal and his "sorry about that" an insult. I got the tires changed at Charles Schwab down the road on Bel-Red. Not only it cost less, they have a large waiting area (unlike Firestone's small table-less and cramped chained seats) with multiple tables, another area with a large TV, free popcorn machine, and courteous staff. read more

They are beyond incompetent. My engine was having knocking sounds which means there was low oil. They said it was the transmission despite me telling them the sound indicates low oil. After a week they changed the oil, then I came back to find they filled it with the wrong oil and it was leaking on my driveway. Don't ever come here. They ruined my car. read more

Be careful of this particular Firestone location. If you work for nearby Microsoft and they see a Microsoft parking tag on your mirror then they will try to gouge you. I used to repair tires for a living. I brought them my truck to get a flat fixed and they insisted that I needed my entire set of tires replaced with wheel alignment. I had a great experience at this Firestone. I did a 180 on a ramp and plopped off a little hill and popped two tires on the passenger side of my Toyota Camry 1990. My tires were old and Firestone suggested for me to change all my tires which I did and they took the best tire that was left on my car and made it my spare free of charge. The mechanic that took care of my car was really nice and worked pretty quickly. I had both a coolant oil leak and they put some in for me (which I consented). What I assume is the manager was the one who rung me up and was very nice as well. When I called to check on the status of my car they picked up the phone immediately. For over 15 years we were regular, faithful customers of this Firestone. It has changed much over the years. Most recently, we took our car in to get a diagnostic for a brake/ABS issue. We got changed $120 for this. The mechanic reported that we had a leak in one of the brake calipers which required replacement at over $700. They basically told us it was dangerous to use the car. Just to be sure, we got a second opinion at Midas and found out here was no leak or ANY brake repair needed. Honestly, I am not sure if Firestone is incompetent or just trying to up-sell by scaring the customer. So our advice is... beware! And for sure, get a second opinion if your estimate for a "much needed repair" comes in hundreds of $$$. As for us, we will certainly be taking our business elsewhere. read more

Both headlights went out almost simultaneously on my car and I had to get them replaced immediately on a Sunday- this place was one of the few that were open. They charged me almost $200 DOLLARS to put in two standard headlights! That's right, $200 DOLLARS!!! I questioned the manager about the time spent- he admitted it only took the technician 45 minutes but they charged for more + "shop fees". Manager said they charged based on "the book" and not actual time spent. What?! Gosh, even the dealer will just put new headlights in for free when I get an oil change for $30. Plus the Firestone manager was quite defensive when I questioned him (technician was very nice though). I would advise against going here for anything but tires. read more

Yes they are cheaper than your Honda store or Toyota store but you will get what you paid for i.e a cheap servicing!!!! I had my vehicle's oil change with them about 6 months back and they said everything was OK. Few months later, I did oil change from Honda store just to have peace of mind and they warned me that I have a battery problem and needs to be replaced. Why the hell previous oil change didn't warn me?.The battery was in critical state. Same with my Toyota Camry. They couldn't find any problem but when I checked with Toyota center, they found issue with CV joints and had to replace it. Never ever will go to this store or any firestone center. read more

I brought my truck in to have new front brakes installed using a discount coupon. They'll try to "upsell" you into repair work or purchase items not needed. First they charged me for new rotors even thought the old ones could have been machined. I found this out after I took the old rotors to two different machine shops and was told they had plenty of metal left to be turned. That mistake cost me $75 to $100. Then they told me my front wheel bearing was bad and needed to be replaced for $450. I declined. It wasn't a bad wheel bearing, the wheel bearing noise the mechanic heard was the wind going through my lumber rack. Granted it could have sounded just like a bad wheel bearing. I would have hoped they did a little more checking before deciding it needed to be replaced. Then they told me I needed new front tires. Discount Tire looked at my tires and told me they were fine. They weren't even close to the wear bars indicating it's time to replace them. I probably have 15,000 miles or more left on the tires. On top of that they have a sign on the counter suggesting people have their front end alignment checked twice a year!!!!!! I've never heard of a car needing it's alignment checked twice a year. More money in Firestone's and the manager's pocket. I've even had a tire shop do it for free. In short, don't use this shop. Yes they're very nice and friendly, they still cheat people with a smile and a laugh. read more
