I had a small problem with a lug nut holding my spare tire mount on it stripped out and I couldn't get my tire off, but I came here and they were able to weld it up and make sure that the wheel studs don't come off my spare tire bracket anymore and I can't say enough about them. Very very disappointing with this shop and the owner Cesar. Had my car in the shop but didn't do a thorough inspection until the owner order parts for my car. Without a doubt, my car was not repairable but should have done a full inspection beforehand ordering parts. I had gotten an oil change with them a while ago in late 2019 and the process was nice and the price was reasonable. I left really happy with the service and kept them in mind for the future. Just recently I came back to get another oil change and inspection. Booking an appointment was quick and easy, and again the price was reasonable. But this time after leaving the lot I noticed an off smell, and the engine sounded off as well. It turns out they forgot to screw the cap back on after changing my oil. It's been years so I'm not sure if the staff changed or what happened, but this carelessness is off putting. I'm not sure what else might be uncapped/unscrewed that needs to be put back. read more

When I first got my alignment they mentioned that my tie rods needed replacement but when I went back they said nothing needed fixing (inconsistent and unclear diagnosis of the car)...$130 is overkill when ur mechanics be giving out wrong feedback) (it's not even worth going for a Groupon)...they gave me super confusing feedback that they themselves didn't believe. MY experience is that Cesar is an honest auto mechanic with a ton of experience. This review is based on my last experience from March 2025. The door locking system on my 2016 BMW 535xi had stopped working. At BMW Bellevue they found 3 different issues they wanted to diagnose for a total of $750 at which point the issue wouldn't be fixed, just diagnosed. I kindly declined and went to C&M Auto repair where I was greeted by all smiley faces. Cesar plugged in his computer that told him a fuse had failed. He quickly found the failing fuse on the fuse board in the glove department, replaced it and verified that door system had returned to normal behavior. I was there a total of an hour and was charged $153 incl. tax. In my book that is high quality and great value service. read more

Went in for an issue, test drive it with the owner , he acknowledged there was an issue, in the end all they did was plug it into the computer (that I could have done for free at o Reily's) asked for a mechanics work to dive deeper and they didn't. then asked for an itemized receipt and they couldn't do that... because NO WORK was done... on top of that they test drove it another 30 miles ??? Terrible customer service and help and now dropped 170$ for zero advice and said just take it to car max! Don't come here unless you wanna get scammed by poor mechanic work. read more

Not sure what they were telling him, but at the end the seller said they told him he's selling too low price and he ended up ghosting me; even tho we agreed on a set price to sell after inspection. It started when I tried to make an appointment for an alignment three weeks in advance. I was told to call back a week ahead of time because "I don't schedule that far out," said Cesar, the owner. "Weird," I thought, but no big deal. I called a week ahead of time and set an appointment. The young woman who answered the phone was friendly, at least. I brought the car in, was chastised for arriving 35 minutes *early*, and then told to take a seat by the receptionist. I was not approached by a tech or anyone concerning the actual job on the car. As I waited, Cesar argued with a customer who was waiting for her car, later with his staff and throughout my wait he came in and out of the front office, yelling about something. About half an hour after I first sat down, the receptionist said everything was ready to go. Again, no tech spoke to me. I was asked if I wanted a copy of the invoice, which made no sense...who says, "Nah, I don't need any maintenance records, see ya?" There was no printout of the alignment measurements before nor afterward, no details on the invoice, nothing. When I got back in the car, I noticed that my dash cam had been unplugged (it's behind the rear view mirror, so you have to go out of your way to unplug it). I found it ironic that in an effort to cover something up, there was such a lack of attention to detail that they couldn't be bothered to plug it back in! (When I later reviewed the footage, at least they took the car into the garage...that's when recording stopped until I got back in the car and plugged it back in). I took it back on the road and now had a HARD pull to the right. The car was only slightly out of alignment when I brought it in, and was now noticeably worse at all speeds. Between the lack of professionalism on the front end, the unplugged dash cam, and not only not fixing the problem but making it worse, I decided to book an appointment at another shop, one with a stellar reputation. I have attached a photo of the alignment figures from the second shop when I brought it to them four days later. This is what my alignment looked like AFTER C&M worked on it (just so ya know, red is bad). The second shop did a wonderful job. I didn't want to deal with C&M in the aftermath because based on the owner's behavior (that I witnessed firsthand and have read in other reviews here), and having ZERO trust in them, it wasn't worth my time nor patience. Cesar's responses to negative feedback on Yelp are petty and "blame the customer," never taking ownership nor working with the customer to resolve the problem. So, to sum up: negligent, dishonest, and unprofessional. I learned my lesson: don't cheap out on the essential maintenance. read more

This time I took a 1983 Jeep Wrangler which had a deteriorated fuel line back by the fuel tank and I didn't want to attempt it because it has special fuel injection pressure clips. I also had a stuck caliper on the left side to include what they found out was a faulty brake switch was made the brake lights stay on. Cesar is the owner Who is not only just a great shop owner but he's super friendly as well. They fixed everything on my Jeep and they did it at a super reasonable price. There are tons of auto shops along the Bel-Red area, but I wanted to choose this one based on what I've seen. The remaining heat shield cover has been rattling on and off underneath my Honda Accord and I finally got around to having it checked out (part of it rusted off 3 years ago driving around the harsh East coast winters with salted roads for so long). My work schedule is very tight with no off days aside from random ones. I met Cesar who worked with my schedule and despite being busy, told me to drop by the next AM at opening time. With a quick lift and inspection underneath the car, the remaining rusted part was removed without charge...all this done in barely 5 minutes. I dislike big box auto shops and dealers, and I'm always on the lookout for local trustworthy mechanics. Don't trust the owner , my husband went in to get his tire patched today ,my Husband said the owner Caesar told him that there was a nail on the side wall of his tire and that they couldn't repair my husbands tire and the owner proceeded to say he needed two new tires , he was charging $120 each for some off brands , the tires we have are only 6 months old . My husband decided not to replace them , because he would rather go somewhere for a second opinion and somewhere professional . When my husband got home he noticed that the tire was losing Air more faster then what it was before we took he took it in ,when my husband checked out the tire he noticed that they had taken the nail completely out , (they only thing that was holding the air from coming out the tire ) that was very shady they should had told him that they took the nail out , He could have got stranded somewhere. To top it off the nail wasn't even on the side wall it was close to middle edge where it could have been easily patched , Thankfully my husband patched it his self , but the owner at C&M Auto Shop could have cost us more then $200 dollars on a easy fix , this somewhere we do not recommend taking your car unless you wanna get scammed or almost having a tragedy read more

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! I must say that Cesar and C&M Auto provided such terrible service that I'm considering legal action. He will tell you everything you want to hear, quote you the price that you tell him you can pay, tell you to drop it off the next day and you will get your car back some days or weeks later and it will be in worse condition then it was before. After I realized I had just paid 900$ to have him install a couple of knock sensors and an O2 sensor, (and he hadn't actually done the work) I called him and explained that my check engine light came back on after 5 mins and my car continued to misfire. He told me to bring it back and he would make it right. 6 DAYS LATER he had done nothing to my vehicles as far as the work I paid him 900$ to complete, but was now claiming I owed him more money because he had put in some parts (never even consulted with me about doing other work) and that I wouldn't get my keys back unless I paid him more money. And since my window had been busted out, I called and asked him when i dropped my car to be fixed... Because he hadn't fixed a damn thing the first 3 days...if I could pay for the window and have it sent to him and if he would install it for me? 6 days later the 60$ window I had done the research to find and had sent to his shop was now going to cost me 100$...and the sack hadn't even gotten around to installing the window. Nothing but lies, terrible service (his mechanics looked like they were 12), more terrible service and lies, and when I called to see what the hell was taking so long to fix his fuckups he told me "we are working on it right now." So I called his office manager back and asked her to go "take a picture of my engine with the hood up, and a pic from the side of the whole care including the window that's getting fixed. " I've attached the 1 picture his office manager sent me. If your looking for a liar, cheat, terrible service, and even someone who will demand payment for work you never even spoke to him about.... C & M Auto is the place for you!!!! I brought my car in because the check engine light was on and there were 3 codes that popped up when we connected the computer. When I finally got my car back after 2 weeks of waiting and lost wages, I had not only paid over $1,000 but there were now 8 codes that were popping up when connected to a computer. Truly pathetic. I also have included a pic of my engine when I got it back. Supposedly there are some mechanics at this shop but they don't even know how to bolt down a engine cover properly. Because of the shoddy work of this shop, my alignment was done incorrectly. I brought it back to them to which they charged me another $50 to "look at it" and "tighten things up". Their "tightening" wasn't anything because it came loose while I was driving on the freeway and my 5 year old son and I were almost killed. DO NOT GO HERE! Update- after inspection I have absolutely confirmed it was the tech at this shops fault that I was almost killed. They didn't tighten down the bolts holding on my control arms, as in one came separated while I was driving and destroyed my cv axle, and the other one was so loose it was able to be taken off by HAND. If you know anything about cars, you know this is not ok. Please please don't give this shop your business. Especially if you value your safety! read more

These guys are great. No upsell, conscientious, knowledgeable. What more could you want? Oh yeah, they said it would take an hour - I got there at the scheduled time - and it took 1 hr. So they've got my business. Ok, the details - they've done "all" the work on my car for the past year. That consisted of 2 oil changes. Both times they looked the car over to see if anything else needed to be fixed. Both times, the answer was no, not now. But recommended changing 2 of the tires before winter. Completely reasonable, they are the original tires on a rear wheel drive vehicle and approaching 50K miles, didn't even try to do it "NOW" with a fear tactic, and didn't see the need to waste money doing all 4 because the front 2 tires were still in good shape. Last, I was there when they were trying to talk to a very high-maintenance person on the phone who was unhappy about what they had done, and they kept asking her to come in for 1/2 so they could figure out what the problem was - whenever she could come in so they could take care of it. They performed the job they'd promised to over the phone, and they charged what they said they would charge: absolutely essential to a successful business. More than that, however, was our treatment while waiting for the service to be performed. There was a charming young lady at the front desk who engaged us in conversation without intruding on our personal time. She offered us coffee and snacks during our wait. Have a Vanagon and anyone that has one knows how hard it is to get a good mechanic for them . I upgraded to a Subaru engine and a handful of other updates . A love that can never be worth it monetarily but if your a fan it's not too much . I've been using Small cars who did all my conversions for maintenance but it's a bit far and have looked hard for a closer person . Stumbled upon C&M on Groupon for oil change and used it for my Vanagon, what a surprise . There is a person name B that is really into Vanagon and has a passion for them . Did a great job on a few things that came up like my CV boots needed replacing . Nice to have someone as passionate as I am servicing my van. read more

I had a particularly difficult case where I needed to get my starter replaced. I bought the starter from an Autoparts shop. It turned out to have a loose contact. Cesar (on a day off!) and his mechanic drove to the Autoparts store to help me argue that it was defective. Which mechanic do you know that would do that. I think that speaks for itself. I used a coupon offer for a first time oil change here. I liked that they take appointments to cut down on the wait time. Covid safety was so-so. When I entered, there were three people in the waiting area all wearing masks (seated less than 6 feet apart) but the person at the desk had the mask pulled down until I approached. I did a quick drop off and left for a walk. The work was completed in the time promised but there was an additional charge for a 'specialty' oil filter (for a Subaru Outback? Really?). To make matters worse, I noticed after I drove away that the cover for the fuse box was open and the attach clips were missing. Most likely, the technician pulled the cover open, thinking it was the hood release (I've made this mistake before) and Subarus have this annoying design 'feature' of these clips being poorly attached. Nevertheless, no mention was made of this error and the clips were nowhere to be found. Fortunately Brian, the manager, was very accommodating and reimbursed me for the cost of replacing the clips. He saved a star by his prompt action. read more

Went to get my AC fixed..the whole navigation display does not work anymore when it was working before. Never mentioned it during the process either. The display is used to control the AC btw..Now the cooling system is flooding the passenger side with water.. seriously amazed of how much of a half-ass job one can do and be called a professional. Never said sorry, never admitted it was his fault and said it was like that. BS. I called to make an appt for an oil change. Brian told me to come in. When I got there, I asked the receptionist for Brian. I waited for 10 minutes for Brian and the receptionist to return. I handed in my car keys and Brian told me the car would be ready in 30 minutes. I returned almost 90 minutes later and the receptionist went back and told me someone would be right out. 30 minutes later my car was ready. There was no explanation or apology. I time is valuable.
