Rude. Lazy. Entitled. Speak to women like they're not intelligent. Tried to shame me for wanting to get multiple estimates. Never sent me an estimate, or really did anything. But refused to do repairs on my car when I told them I wanted Land Rover to replace my windshield, but they could repair damage to bumper. 2 separate claims. But I guess they already "bent" too much. They wanted the money insurance sent me upfront but got pissy when they had to wait a couple days for it to be deposited in my account. Not sure how common it is to demand money upfront. Assuming the only reason is because I'm a single woman and easy target. Based on how I was spoken to. He said "Don't get roadside assistance. Always sign up for rental reimbursement in the future." Um pretty sure I've had insurance for 25 years & you know nothing about my situation. So keep your opinions to yourself and write up & send an estimate before you demand $2,500. This is my first time leaving a review for an auto shop. I went in there to get a repair estimate for a huge scratch on my car. Dennis was the one who took care of me throughout the process. Came here for a quote, the manager I think was trying to be helpful but asked things like "do you have a man in your life helping you with this" and "im trying to bring this conversation down to your level" and overall he was helping me with my claim but I was feeling quite pressured to give him the business that day. At that point I left, thanked him for his help and said I needed to think about my options.... I honestly was not very happy but just chalked this up to maybe not a good fit at this point, but then a week later got a message from him that he scheduled my repair and scheduled a rental car, without my consent??? It actually delayed my repair with the other shop because the insurance company got confused. Please stay far away from this place. They started working on my car without my approval when I just wanted an estimate done. They accepted $8000+ payment since I thought the car was fixed. After getting it back, I found they didn't even do the work they were supposed to, and had just glued old parts back on. Then they weren't willing to provide an itemized invoice, and they refused to refund me for the work that they didn't do. These are all illegal per Washington Automotive Repair Act, by the way. I had to take the car to another shop and the dealership to get it actually fixed. Why would I trust this company to actually fix my car when they didn't do it the first time? Insurance fraud is the name of their game. It's been super annoying to deal with this company, and small claims court is the next stop. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. edit: ah yes, here comes the manipulative reply. This is also standard practice with them. They'll talk and talk until your head spins. Note that they did not provide me with complete receipts even though I asked multiple times. (However, they did send me some other person's receipt for parts and try to tell me it was mine, even though it wasn't even the same car make and had an entirely different last name on it.) And why would they tell me my car was fixed and ready for me to pick up, and then accept my money and return my car to me, if they were still waiting for parts? None of what they say makes sense because it's not true. I paid them because they called every day for a week to tell me my car had to be picked up. Afterwards, I went to two other repair shops and a dealership to confirm that they used old damaged parts, did a poor job gluing them back on, and didn't complete the work that was listed on the estimate from the insurance company, which is what Alpine claims they worked from. Oh also, my car was filthy when I got it back, inside and out, and parts that weren't even damaged in the collision were now damaged from poor work. If they wanted to reach an amicable resolution, they would refund me for the work that they didn't do. They've also refused to do this, despite me asking multiple times and suggesting even a partial refund. This has been a huge headache and now I have to go to court to get my money back. I don't want anyone else to have to go through this so steer clear of this place. read more

I did not get my vehicle fixed here. I came in and talked to one of the owners/operators who spent an absurd amount of time explaining how insurance companies work and why it would be best for me to leave my car with him. I told him I would contact my insurance company to figure out the next steps. Gave no guarantee of calling to schedule a fixing in the future. I continued to be harassed via phone calls and texts about bringing in my car for service, including one that implied that an insurance adjustor from my insurance company had been scheduled to inspect my vehicle. When I called my insurance company they had NO IDEA what I was talking about and assured me that they did not schedule an adjustor to be sent out. If you're hurting for business, beef up your marketing and stop nagging people to fix their cars when it's crystal clear they won't be utilizing your services. UPDATE: The owners called and proceeded to harass me over the phone regarding this review - yelling so loud that my boyfriend on the other side of the rook could hear. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE. Horrible, unethical company; they are scammers! They were extremely pushy, insisted on towing our car, and charged us $650 for the towing charge without telling us first. They indicated that they would have to remove parts from the car in order to provide an estimate, which I have never encountered before. They talked about used parts, waiting for parts to come from out of the Country, etc. needing to hold the car for a very extended amount of time. I knew something wasn't right and immediately picked up my car before they began removing parts. They held my car in a locked garage, and refused to release it to me until I paid the $650. If you're looking to get any work done on your vehicle in the Seattle area, make sure you go to Alpine Auto Center. I initially found them via Yelp (heh) and the amount of value they delivered was even HIGHER than my expectations (and these were high). Upon arrival, I was greeted with a smile and a true sense of care. I worked mostly with Assana on addressing my vehicle's issues, but still spoke with everyone that was in the shop. From start to finish, they told me exactly what to expect, how much it would be, and what was priority. They even checked out a few other things at no extra charge! I'm a customer for life, as this business truly treats you like you're family. Its rare to find a business with such wonderful customer service nowadays. My vehicle's repairs were fixed in a timely manner at a VERY affordable price. I was blown away. If I had taken my vehicle to any other shop, I would have paid hundreds more. On a road trip our car broke down as we arrived at the Bainbridge Island Ferry! We spent the whole ferry trip calling many different mechanics and trying to find the part we thought we needed. This review is long overdue. First, I'll start by saying if I could give Alpine Auto Center 10 stars, I most certainly would. I'll summarize by saying these guys are a family owned business, they provide exceptional service, offer competitive pricing AND will go above and beyond to make sure your car is in optimum health. Personable and professional--Alpine should be your go-to... Now for my longwinded review... Back in September of 2018, I made the mistake of taking my car to the Jiffy Lube on 4th for an oil change. Though the mechanic changed my oil, he forgot to place an oil filter before sending my car off. While on the 520 freeway the next morning, my car completely tanked which then forced me to pull over to the shoulder. Alpine came to the rescue in no time to tow my car and have a look. What they discovered was a ghastly hole at the bottom of my engine block thanks to Jiffy Lube's negligence. Folks--Annas was my BULLDOG. Not only did he walk me through the process to pursue JL for the cost of the engine replacement plus labor, but he also ensured they comped my rental while my car underwent repair. In the end, I got a newish engine and extended life on my 2006 Scion XB. Last month my boyfriend desperately needed his brakes replaced. While other places quoted delayed service days out, Alpine was able to receive us and replace his brakes same day. I cannot express enough how reliable Alpine is. This is a small family run shop and you can tell they care a lot about their business, doing things well, and taking care of their customers. I had a really positive experience here having my drivers door window replaced. There was an issue with local delivery of a part too and they really went out of their way to resolve the problem (I'm pretty sure the owner actually drove to the warehouse to get the part himself) and make sure the work was done on time. I am really conflicted, having to leave this review. The reason for this is that I have also owned my own business and have made some mistakes, and this guy may have a family to feed. My bumper was much nicer than in the beginning. It looked like a brand new bumper. I was given a quote for a brand new bumper, and discovered soon after I took the car that it was the old bumper repainted and repaired (I noticed a small discrepancy on the left side where it was jutting out, hardly noticable, and quickly confirmed with another body shop that it was not a new bumper). After threatening legal action multiple times, I was given a refund for approximately $250 for the new bumper that was quoted and never installed. In the end, I would recommend that you make sure you understand what you are being quoted, and make sure that you get what you were quoted. And keep a copy of your quote. And make sure you get an itemized receipt that matches your quote showing exactly what was done. read more

This was after hours, so we had it towed there, left a note and the keys.
