Highly recommend for vehicle alignment, tried every shop in king county to get my 2024 raptor aligned properly and everyone declined or didn't successfully align the vehicle due to how wide the raptor is from factory and as well as being equipped with 37 inch tires from factory. However, Tru-Line was able to get it done perfectly and also installed lock out cam centric hardware to ensure my alignment does shift from aggressive off-roading. Tru-line is the place to go in the Seattle area if you are particular about getting an wheel alignment done right. We had a vehicle that started to not feel stable on the road. It wasn't clearly pulling to one side, but seemed to require more attention to steering than when it was new. My perspective is that there are two levels of wheel alignment that you can have done on your vehicles. The base level is making sure the wheels are aligned to the direction of travel so that your tires don't wear prematurely. My experience is that this is typically what you'll get from tire retailers and the service department of car dealerships. The next level of alignment can help a vehicle have better driving characteristics. In addition to changing the toe-in angle of the wheels, a skilled tech can modify handling characteristics by changing the camber (vertical tilt) of the wheels and on some vehicles) and modify steering feel by changing the caster angle (forward or backwards tilt of the steering axis) on some vehicles I initially took this vehicle to a Les Schwab to do an alignment due to a busy work schedule, Their determination was that the alignment on the vehicle was within the manufacturer's specs. To their credit, they also didn't charge me for this diagnostic work. I recently took the same vehicle to Tru-line in Bellevue. I explained what I was feeling with the steering and handling of the vehicle to Brandon. Several hours later, his staff had corrected all of the stability issues that I was feeling. Driving back home, the vehicle felt rock solid on the freeway and also felt more stable and easier to place in corner. The alignment work at Tru-line will probably cost a bit more than what you would pay at a tire retailer and you'll have to leave your vehicle for several hours. But if you want your car, SUV or truck to steer and handle as well as it can, Tru-line is the place to go for wheel alignment in the Bellevue and Seattle areas. I have a tesla model S. Since September it's been to tesla twice for an alignment. (This isn't to bash tesla. They're just not an alignment shop) I was fed up that my performance Tesla didn't feel planted at all and I didn't enjoy driving it. It took about three weeks to get on the books BUT it was well worth the wait. I dropped my car off at 7:30 and it was done by 12:30. It was on the alignment rack from 9:30 to 12:15. (I can confirm this via my tesla app location). Brandon was really nice and perplexed by the "alignment" that had been done. He said to stop by in 5000 miles for a quick tire check. Return customer with 2 cars. Will never go anywhere else already. Just an unbalanced tire, but you know how that can be particularly bothersome at speed. Made an appointment, was 10 minutes late, and Brandon got it in promptly. Had him check all tires, though it was likely just the one that had some fix a flat in it. Worse-case: check and hi-speed rebalance all tires for 150-ish, in an hour. No problem. Within 15 minutes he came back in and said it was just the one tire and he had wiped out the left over gunk and rebalanced the tire. No charge. What?! No, come on... Now, I know all that is unusual, but what service!! I recommend everyone go there, because they run it so well and the results are so above and beyond what you can get at a 'tire store'. Without going into to much detail, because I hate writing reviews, I just have to say how much I appreciate the service I received here! Brandon, the manager, is extremely kind and honest. He saved me a lot of money by suggesting that I get all new tires before they do any of the suspension work I was prepared to have them do. It turned out, unbeknownst to me, that I had 3 different ages & versions of tires on my car that was causing my problems. Getting new tires made all of the difference and didn't benefit Tru-Line at all because I had to go elsewhere for tires. But, I really appreciate their honesty. Tru-Line has worked on two of my cars in the past, including my recent model year Cayenne Turbo. My Cayenne was drifting to the right. I took it into the Porsche Bellevue official dealership for an alignment, and was told the alignment was totally normal. They found no evidence of drifting or pulling and suggested I coordinate a ride along with a tech to demonstrate the issue. This was perplexing to me as the car was very clearly drifting. My schedule is tight and I had trouble coordinating time for a ride along with a tech. I reached out to Tru-Line to schedule an alignment at their shop in the hopes this was a simple alignment issue. Tru-Line is really the only choice for your Tesla alignment needs in the Seattle area. Pete is a super knowledgeable Tech and did a fantastic job on the 4w alignment of my new Model 3 Performance Dual Motor. I installed a set of Unplugged Performance Dual rate lowering springs a couple weeks ago to improve the response, looks and efficiency of my P3D. I chose Tru-Line after reviewing about 10 different options on Yelp and a lot of customer feedback. Like many other 3 owners who have installed the UP springs, I noticed an obvious clunking noise on the front strut towers over bumps. I tried isolating to cause myself but eventually gave up and took it to Tru-Line. I asked Pete to try and isolate and fix the source of clunking noise, but unfortunately he wasn't able to nail it down. It seems to be a design flaw with the UP springs that result in "coil slap" which no amount of adjusting or tightening will fix. That said, Pete still did great job not only with the alignment, but also didn't charge me for the diagnostic time (I think because he felt bad, though he said he might have forgot). He also spent a good 30 minutes educating me on how Tesla setups are different, some of the issues unique to Model 3 and what to watch out for. I really appreciated Pete spending the time since I'm a gear head but totally new to EVs/Tesla. Oh and it now drives as straight as an arrow thanks to Pete and Tru-Line. Now I just have to solve the annoying and elusive clunking noise! read more

It took a couple of weeks to get on their schedule but it was completely worth the wait. I had some undercarriage noise that I diagnosed as being time for a complete suspension update/refresh on a 13 year old well used SUV. They did a bit of lubrication and informed I needed nothing but some new tires soon, and new struts in a few thousand miles. I was prepared to spend some bank and they did a quick look and told me it was on the house and to come back in 5-10K for a strut update. On the recommendation of my auto repair shop, I was referred to Tru-Line to perform realignment. This was the first time I had this particular service done, even though my car was getting up there in years. Definitely needed to get this done and I am glad that I came here to do so. Initially, I was referred to the Seattle Tru-Line location but noticed that Tru-Line had a Bellevue location which is closer so I gave them a call instead. The hours at the Bellevue shop are a little more condensed, but I was told by my auto shop you needed to set an appointment ahead of time anyway, which I did one week before. Tru-Line is located just off Bel-Red Road. There are a number of auto related businesses in the vicinity. Although I was a little confused with the process when I first entered the office, I was reassured by another customer in the waiting room that I had come to the right place for car service. And he was right. After 3 hours, my car was ready. Byron did a great job of explaining the changes he made to the alignment of the car and provided some good info on car maintenance. He suggested that I replace my tires as soon as my budget would allow along with providing a tire recommendation. It is great that I can buy these tires online at Tirerack and have them shipped to Tru-Line to have them installed. I recommend Tru-Line. Scheduled an appointment (they usually need a week heads up) for my STi to set the ride height and get it corner balanced on my brand new RaceComp Engineering Tarmac 2's. When I first pulled up, the feel of this shop instantly reminded me of a small Ferrari garage I ran into on a back street in Italy a few months ago. Family run, each customer matters a lot to them, and they are genuinely interested in setting your suspension perfectly. Without question. Even though the owner (Byron) can be a bit eccentric/quirky, he is the most genuine shop owner I've ever met, no bs straight to the point and a very humble person. All who work here are extremely knowledgable and masters of their craft. Just have an idea what setup you want when you show up, and be decisive. I cannot stress enough how strict the level of attention to detail is here, and how OBSESSIVE they are in the pursuit of perfection. This place rates among the best experiences a car owner can have in the greater Seattle area. I've used Tru-Line in Seattle in the past and been very happy with them. I've since moved, acquired new vehicles and so happened to find myself in need of a wheel alignment for my new used 4Runner. Now, you would not want to trust wheel alignment to a random tire outlet, as it requires serious skill and experience and probably most important of all, patience and a keen eye for detail. Pete at Tru-Line took me through all the "gets" of performing the alignment services, from questions around daily use, past incidents, weight of driver (passengers), typical use and driving conditions. Very good! Picking up later in the afternoon, I'm greeted by the super friendly staff and Pete joins me minutes later to report back on findings and actions taken - super positive experience. I had my Toyota in for an oil change at the dealership and they informed me that I needed new brakes right away. I decided to get a second opinion and called Tru-Line based on the Yelp reviews. There is a charge to inspect, but if you need brakes it goes towards the new brakes. They checked my brakes and my suspicion was valid, I didn't need brakes after all. I had about 40 - 50% left on them. It was worth getting them checked out by an honest business. About a year later I did need brakes and they installed them at a great price. They got the job done, but I was disappointed that they advertise "expertise and integrity for 3 generations" and yet they're a company that quotes one price and then bills another. I went to Tru-Line to get two TPMS sensors replaced. When I called to schedule my appointment, I was quoted $30+tax per wheel/tire on the phone. On the day I went in, as I handed my keys to the tech, I said what I ask everyone I hand my car keys to: "If you need to take the car off the lot, could you please let me know first?". I didn't think he would need to, and the response I've ever gotten so far is "sure thing" or "sure thing, but I shouldn't need to". The tech looks back at me with a stern and condescending "why is that?". Surprised, I explained to him that I've had a bad experience elsewhere before, and that's what I ask of everyone I hand my keys to. The tech then basically responded with "well if I need to, I'll take it down the road and back". Not assuring, but fine, I wasn't going to argue with someone I just handed my keys to. When the tech came back after finishing up, he told me that I would still need to program the TPMS sensors. Not a problem for me, since I have the TPMS tool, but it was a bit strange, considering this is supposedly a shop that specializes in TPMS sensors (as well as other things). Finally, when I was finally given the bill. I noticed that instead of the 2 x $30 + tax quoted, I was charged $69 + $3.80 "EPA" + sales tax. I later asked about the difference, but they were of no help. The answer was somewhere between "we quoted you $69 and not $60 all along" and "we raised our prices this year, but we should have quoted you the new prices". I also asked about the $3.80 "EPA" line item and they claimed that this was a "tax" charged on all services - I have no way to confirm this is actually a tax, and I'm not sure how swapping two sensors, and not having to dispose of the old ones, results in anything the EPA would care about. What's surprising is that they calculated sales tax based on the $69 *and* the $3.80 EPA line item, so I was taxed on top of tax for the $3.80. All in all, they overcharged me by $14.08 compared to their "quote", which might not be a lot to some folks, but that's an extra 21% they helped themselves to. Replacing 2x TPMS sensors should be pretty straightforward to quote, and I find it very hard to believe that this represents "integrity". Frankly, in looking at these reviews, it's a bit surprising for any business to have glowing 5* reviews across the board. I guess I'll be the first to share something different. read more

I went to Tru-Line to center the steering wheel of my brand-new Golf R as it didn't come perfectly centered (like -5 degrees off centered... a bit OCD here) from the dealer. I went to this shop after checking the awesome reviews as didn't think an average tire shop would be able to do a perfect wheel alignment. I got the car back and the steering wheel is completely centered but the best part is that the car handles better than before, I couldn't be happier This place might be a bit more expensive than other shops, but you get what you pay for. 100% satisfied with Tru-Line. read more

Off the line, I will definitely say if you are doing a complete disservice to your car if you do not get your car aligned by this shop! I drive a 2006 Volvo V70R and I barely left the parking lot and noticed a huge handling difference already. People may say Les Schwab, Sears or the dealer do a good and you don't need to spend anymore but that is like saying the massage chair in the mall you pay 25 cents for is as good as a professional licensed massage therapist. And if you've got a high performance car, its worth at least trying once. The customer service is pretty good too. That's how impressive the alignment jobs are, I completely forgot about the good customer service. Try it! read more

Plenty of others have provided the detail here, and I'll just add my "harrumph!" of solid agreement to what's already been said. I didn't meet Byron on my day at the shop, where I'd had two tires from Tire Rack shipped for installation, but Pete did masterful job of inspecting the old tires for wear patterns, interviewing me about my driving style, weight (yes, it _does_ matter, especially in a 2-seater) and typical load, and any "medical history" with the car's setup. I swear the car (a Tesla Roadster) tracks better now and feels "freer" in both acceleration and deceleration, probably due to reining the rear camber back in from some nutty negative settings. One other thing: I was in a rush to get to a meeting, and Pete offered to invoice me rather than make me wait for him to bang out a bill. THAT'S trusting, customer-first service. If you have a performance car, and you aren't already on a first-name basis with your dealership's alignment and track setup tech (see what I did there?), you really should give Byron and Pete a call. read more

One of my friends who drives sports cars recommended me to this shop. Initially I had a really bad shake throughout the car. I had taken the car to 3 different shops trying to resolve my issues. I paid True-Line to do a diagnostics of my car. Since it was still the winter they recommended me a few different things to do, and other things to hold off on. They told me to wait on the alignment until I got my summer tires back on. I am glad that I did because after everything was said and done all the shake was gone, and the car is now smooth on the freeway. I was surprised at their detailed questions such as my weight, driving style, and how often I drive with passengers. That gave me confidence in their attention to detail. I must say after everything was said and done they were able to fix all my problems. I just wish that they were able to do all automotive work. Granted that they are a bit more expensive than your big chain store, but they also spend that extra time to get your car done right the first time. I don't think I will deal with a chain store anymore since it only takes True-Line once to get it right. I only wish that this store was open later or even on the weekends. read more
