Auto Dynamix - Exterior - Auto Repair Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

Auto Dynamics is my wife and my preferred auto care providers. They are super honest and go out of their way to provide top notch service. Dropped in today to have an engine cover underneath the suv (2019 Ford Escape) that had broken loose after an unfortunate encounter with a creature in the road. I intended for them to order the parts needed to reattach this cover (my hurriedly zip ties were a short term fix) and set up appointment to repair. They took the vehicle, hoisted it up and replaced 5 bolts that had sheared off. Bing bang boom the repair was done and they did not charge me anything at all. They also took the time to inspect my car battery which passed. I love Auto Dynamix and can recommend them without any reservations at all! read more

I've been here twice in the last few months and had a phenomenal experience both times. I was helped immediately, no appointment, just walk in, and David didn't want to charge me either time. Once was for a tail light replacement and the other time was to remove the engine splash shield that was dragging under my car. I have full intentions of returning in the future for my service needs. It's so nice to feel like someone is looking after me instead of trying to advantage of me!! I'm so glad i found them! read more

I took a Ram 1500 that I was interested in purchasing here for a "Pre Purchase Inspection". They were very thorough and helpful in finding potential issues with the vehicle. I am glad that I took the truck here and that Auto Dynamix was so helpful. Highly recommend this auto shop! read more

Honest, fast, and friendly. I recommend this place to all my buddies. They will tell you what you really need done and what can wait.

I usually take my cars to the dealership for repairs, but decided to give Auto Dynamix a chance since they were recommended by another shop in the area and are close to my work. They were able to get me an appointment within two days, and the repair took less than two hours. They don't have as many amenities as a dealership, which is great since they also don't charge as much as the dealership. You can also tell that they care about their customers since they walked me through the condition of the vehicle as well as the work they did on it. I'm definitely going to return for my other vehicles as well! read more

I have been coming to Auto Dynamix for nearly 15 years with multiple cars and have never had one bad experience there EVER! Khea and David run the absolute best auto repair shop on the Eastside. If you are looking for a fair and honest auto repair shop that does exceptional work, you will not find a better one than Auto Dynamix. I would give them 6 STARS if it was possible!! read more

I've been bringing my Challenger since 2005 and have been very happy with the service. Whenever there has been something wrong with the car, they always try eliminating the problem via the cheaper route first instead of immediately suggesting the more expensive repair. My girlfriend recently bought a Prius so I've started bringing there as well. Very honest and highly recommended. read more

Just had my car repaired by David and his team. Starter went bad. Took them few extra days as one of the part was back ordered at Honda. David was very proactive, kind and thorough with the work! They kept me posted on the progress and price was exactly what they quoted, no hassle work! Kudos to Autodynamix team and thanks for all the help. read more

I've been using Auto Dynamix for my tire service recently on my Subaru WRX wagon. They provide excellent service and value, always quick and friendly as well. Most recently they went out of their way to get my snow tires installed with a potential cold weather front headed our way. Total lifesavers! Highly recommended. read more

I was in need of an oil change and tire rotation and was looking around Bellevue for a reputable mechanic and Auto Dynamix has just that. What I was pleasantly surprised by was how kind and inviting the two gentlemen who helped me were. They not only did what I needed but also verified my vehicle's regular levels and advised me as to when I should take action to prevent impact to my SUV. I am confident in their service and advice and will be taking my other vehicles as well as recommending them to friends. Great job guys! read more

This place was great! We found a used Yukon at a dealership nearby, but didn't want to purchase until a third party checked it out. I called a few other shops in the area about an inspection and all were booked up for the next few weeks, but auto dynamix was able to get us in for an inspection the next day! They went over the car within an hour, only charged $200, and gave us total piece of mind for our used vehicle purchase. Would go back in the future for other services! read more

I've brought my car to Auto Dyanmix twice so far and have been very pleased with the service. I know my way around a garage and can wrench my own car, but there are some repairs that I'd just rather avoid and save myself the headache and time. I've talked with Khea and Todd who are both friendly and overall great guys. I brought the car in to have the motor mounts replaced for what I suspected was causing my car to 'buck' under acceleration/deceleration. Todd offered to have a look around to see if I needed to actually replace all 3 mounts. After the inspection, he ended up only replacing the 2 mounts. Todd finished the car late Friday and told me I could pick it up anytime over the weekend, and that I could come by early the following week to make the payment. Talk about receiving the homeboy special! Auto Dynamix performs good and honest work at a fair price. Highly recommended! read more

Found them because of yelp and agree with the five star rating everyone else gives them. Both Khea and Jeff + the rest of the crew is awesome. I have a 1983 Contemporary Shelby Cobra with a 1972 351 Cleveland in it, not something I trust anyone with. Came in, went for a ride with them so they could feel the issue, they took a look at the car in the shop, showed me the issue, fixed it in two hours, I test drove it to double check, worked great! Can't say enough about these guys. While I hung out for a couple hours I kept seeing happy customers come in and out. You need anything done, classic or brand new, this is the place. I will definitely be back. Thank you! read more

Auto Dynamix - Cobra these guys worked on - Auto Repair Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

I would not classify myself as a motorhead; far from it. But I like an occasional challenge, know how to search you tube, and I'm cheap. I also work somewhat in the automotive field so it just seems like something I should do. So I will work on my own car (speaking of challenges); sometimes with success that just artificially buoys my confidence. I have had a few issues with the 1997 Ford Exploder that leave me stumped at times and I haven't had much luck with mechanics I've used to try and keep it from being donated. The latest round of knuckle scraping and choice words had me stumped again. Auto Dynamix reviews looked pretty awesome. So I called Khea and made an appointment. And that was my lucky day. The Exploder was acting a lot like a blown head gasket (sorta) and a dead heater. I appreciate that Khea ran some tests, and took a pretty conservative approach to the repair. He didn't go straight to replacing the heater core which would have costs several hundred more $$'s to repair. All told, he had the car for a few days; checked in with me every day; made repairs at a very reasonable cost; and the Exploder now runs the best it has in years. Much better than the dealer service I tried before and better than some other reputable shops. With Auto Dynamix, the Exploder has found its "forever mechanics". And the Acura dealer probably lost a customer as well because we'll be taking the spouse's TL here soon. Highly recommend! Bonus....found Sugee's Deli near-by. That will be another review! read more

Wow wow wow!!! I would give this business and it's employees TEN STARS if I could!!! I had a trailer hitch installed, and called around to do a little price shopping ahead of time. Worst case scenario--Rack & Road on NE 8th wanted $279 for this simple install...but Auto Dynamix only charged me $70 for a 1/2 hr. install... and they did it in only 20 mins (2 guys on the job)...what an awesome deal. They were very cordial and informative from the get go, and I would take my car there again for any service they provide! Professional, fast, affordable, knowledgeable, and honest. What more can you ask for in a car service provider? Here's your 10 stars!!! ********** read more

Auto Dynamix is a bit hard to find since it's located in the back of a strip mall and wouldn't expect an auto repair place to be located there. But I like this place since it's easy to schedule an appt (all online) and it's pretty easy to get an appointment right away. I typically wait for my car to be done while sitting in their leather sofa, using their internet and scratching their dog. Feel like this place is honest and trustworthy which is key for me in finding a reputable auto shop. Thanks Yelp for the recommendations! read more

I found this place on Yelp as well. I was out to lunch one day and my window rolled down but not back up... I could pull it up.. but it would just fall. This is no bueno. I googled what I could and found AD. Khea answered the phone and told me that he would take my info and call me back in 30 mins with a quote. I am pretty sure that it was less than 30 mins when he called me back. Khea and I talked about my situation and he said that he could do it that day. I am sorry, what? YOU. ARE. AMAZING. I work in the neighborhood so I dropped off my car 30 mins later and it was done is less than 2 hours. Khea really pulled through for me on this one. I was super happy. read more

Impressed beyond belief. Just had our 8 year old Honda Civic serviced here for regular oil change and check up. I briefly mentioned to Dave in the beginning that the AC is not working, may be they can take a look and give me a quote for later. I had checked out the AC at a Honda dealership last year. The dealership had diagnosed it with a compresser failure and estimated around $2,000 for repair. I kept postponing the repair to avoid spending so much money. And I am so glad I postponed! Autodynamix fixed the AC for $21 !! Yes, at one-hundredth the price quoted to me by the dealership! Beyond belief! Khea said that Dave basically took a quick look, found that a relay was malfunctioning and replaced it for $21. Impressed! I had shown them the paperwork from the dealership and they could easily have gone with the earlier diagnosis to charge me for the whole compresser which I would have paid for because this summer is already too hot. However, Khea and Dave showed complete integrity, expertise and even humility after making my life so much easier. Thank you, Khea and Dave. Wish more businesses were like yours. All the best. read more

Khea was incredibly helpful. He emailed me a quote for a repair, and set up an appointment for me to come in. The repair took a little longer than anticipated, but that's because I ultimately showed up about an hour late and during their lunch hour. I lounged about in their waiting room, and I even ended up taking a nap on their couch! They were honest, reliable, and did quality work. I'd go back! My one and only complaint is that they aren't open on the weekends. For us M-F 8-5 folks, it's kind of hard to stop by when places aren't open on the weekends. read more

I saw all the 5 star reviews and knew I had to visit Auto Dynamix to get some work done on my 10 year old Mitsubishi Endeavor. After years of having my Mitsu serviced at a Mitsu dealer, it's so refreshing to take it to a place that'll do the work, do it with no problems and finish it all up without trying to up-sell me on anything that's not urgent. Khea did let me know that I need some brake work done, but it was nice that he didn't try to up sell me on all the other minor things that the dealership had been prodding me to fix for years and years. In fact, one of the main things they had been harping on, he told me was something I didn't need to worry about at all for a while. I brought my laptop because I needed to do some work, and they shared their wifi password with me. That was awesome. And to make a great place even better, Jasmine, the shop dog (an adorable black lab) came and visited briefly after I sat down to work. This is my new auto repair shop! read more

Yelp has the address wrong - correct one is: 13245 NE 20th St Bellevue, WA 98005-2009 (425) 283-5766 Very impressed with these guys - they were very personable and friendly over the phone and via email. And, well, here's the story: So my muffler was rattling when my car idled. Last time I got an oil change I had them check it out and they told me I'd need to get the muffler welded back on. "Oh boy," I'm thinking as I picture a $300-ish repair. I found Auto Dynamix online and contacted them, explaining my situation. They emailed back and told me to bring the car by for a free estimate. I went today during lunch, not sure how long it would take or how bad the damage (read: huge bill) would be. After struggling a little to find it, I was quite pleased to have the guys come out almost immediately. They got under the car and had me turn it on. The rattle started up. They had me stop it and shook some metal around. Within 2 minutes, they had pulled off my heat shield and had me turn the car back on. NO RATTLING! "How much will it cost me to replace that?" I asked. "Oh, don't worry about it, these are overkill." "So, we're done." "Yep, you want me to throw [the heat shield] away for you?" "Um, sure." Bottom line: I thought I'd have a huge bill and rather than rip me off, these guys fixed my issue for free and in about 5 minutes from pulling up to pulling away. Smart business, because they know if I *ever* have a muffler problem, I won't be going anywhere else. Major kudos, guys! read more

It's easy to give a good rating when everything goes smoothly. When something goes wrong, in my opinion, is when a business can really show their colors. I've been a customer of Auto Dynamix for several years and been very pleased with their work, and especially their honesty. I've referred friends and family. This time my car needed significant and expensive repairs. Work got done well, but they missed something that was a problem. Unlike most other places, I got a genuine apology from Khea and Dave and they immediately got my car back in and made it right. Outstanding service! Thanks Khea and Dave and the Auto Dynamix team. You've (again) earned a loyal client! read more

I had an amazing experience here this morning, I came in because my license plates screws were broken and I needed to change the plates on my car since I recently moved to WA. The folks at Auto Dynamic let me come in on short notice, and not only drilled out my broken license plate screws, but they did it for free. I must say as a New Yorker who is used to much rougher interactions with auto shops I am very impressed with the great attitude these folks have and will be back to give them my business, they are just good people and deserve our support. read more

Came in after some "friend" put my alternator in wrong. My car had a check engine light on and was making crazy noises from the alternator belt being loose. Many shoddy mechanics would have certainly tried to take me to the cleaners on this. Dropped my car off, 30 minutes later it was fixed. Khea adjusted the belt and ran some tests finding out that the fix for my engine was simple (for him) he went ahead and fixed it. Cost to me- $$$$$ FREE Not even sure what to say to that. If I ever have any other issues with any car he'll be the first person I see. Great customer service, trustable, and excellent work. I think this is one of the only 5 star ratings I've ever given. read more

Great service and honest people! I drove for oil change and brake service, they explained brake still works fine, and provided measurement, while my dealer told me to replace brake a few months back read more

Oh yes, 5-Stars. It has been a pleasure working with Khea and Tony from the minute I called him to the minute I picked up my car. The original estimate to get my car transmission fixed was about $2300. My final bill was about $65. Turned out that someone gave me some wrong information. He could have really taken me for a ride, and I wouldn't have suspected anything in the least. Instad, Khea and Tony were honest. I chose them becuase of their awesome track record and because they had the cheapest rates! I mean I couldn't go wrong. I came to Yelp looking for some where to take my car for a 100k tune up and some other services, after reading all the great reviews on Auto Dynamix I decided I'd try it out. I am so happy with my decision! They were very honest with what HAD to be done and what could wait till a later date. They were also very affordable.. I will definitely be using them for any future tune ups and oil changes. I highly recommend them and will send all my friends their way! Try them out and see for yourself!! read more

Two stars because they actually mounted the tires on the right wheels, facing the right direction and the PSI was close to cold spec. I let them know the car was going on a trailer that afternoon to the Monterey Car Week and time was of the essence, they agreed to be quick. However I asked them to perform a 4 wheel alignment which they agreed to do. I realized it was taking way too long and decided to inquire why. The guy at the counter said they were having a difficult time finding the alignment specs. Uh.... just look online? Call the dealer? Ask the owner? I found them in 10 seconds of a Google search. Another 30 minutes passed and I looked back into the shop and apparently everyone goes to lunch at the same time. So instead of telling me this in advance they use the BS excuse that they can't find the specs. Speechless and not happy about being lied to I asked them to just get my car off the rack and take the business elsewhere. It always amazes me how people put hurdles in front of the cash register and turn down $300. To the guys in the back- Instead of eye f-ing my car and taking pictures of it to post on your Instagram work a little harder, who knows maybe one day you can post photos of your own car :) read more

I had a good experience and am satisfied with the quality and cost of the work, most of which were opportunistic after market modifications. Customer service issues are motivating this review. Khea's responsiveness to e-mails and calls were timely and reassuring. There was a scheduling mix up and instead of sending me away, Khea agreed to work on my car because he remembered a random comment I made about my work schedule from a previous conversation and knew I was in a tough spot. Thank you. While my pads & rotors were being replaced Khea & friendly staff made a point to call me for clarifications, and were respectfully candid about necessary revisions to previous estimates (which were still lower than what I budgeted for). Basically, there were a few opportunities that could have taken this experience in a very disappointing direction. But Khea's "We'll make it happen" approach to challenges will have me coming back the next time my car needs work.. read more

Khea was great! I see why so many prior were happy with their experience here. We have a honda CR-V. I'm new in town and need to find all the necessities and a great place to have my wife's car serviced and kept in great shape was important. We arrived after shipping our car here from Hawaii and found that a rat had chewed through my wife's 2nd gear pressure switch wiring, normally this is job I would have done on my own, however I don't have a closed garage and it's way to cold. Anyway, I called and explained the issue and booked the appointment no problem. After meeting Khea, I was impressed with his friendly almost gentleman like demeanor. I asked if he could also change the transmission fluid and brake fluid. This was at 10am, he had everything done and called me for pickup by 2:30. I was able to miss the traffic both ways, I'll definitely be bringing my vehicles here in the future. Thank you fellow yelpers for leading me here, gotta love yelp. Note: the sign was easily visible from the road, however his shop is in the far back left corner. read more

Auto Dynamix - Rat chewed wires - Auto Repair Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

As someone with very limited knowledge of cars, I feel so grateful to have found a mechanic that I can trust. I have dealt with Auto Dynamix on 3 or 4 occasions and every experience has been fantastic. They have never pressured me into unnecessary repairs, they lay out each recommended repair in terms of priority to help me plan for future expenses, and they do all of this with amazing customer service. When the clutch went out on my previous car, Khea helped me decide that it probably would not pay off for me to put $1300 into replacing the clutch on such an old car. I'm sure there are some mechanics out there who would have only seen dollar signs and encouraged me to just go ahead with the repair. I took my replacement car to Auto Dynamix to get it checked out shortly after purchasing it. Khea discussed multiple things to keep in mind with a car of my make, model and year. He recommended whenever the time came to get my water pump replaced, to have my timing belt replaced as well (or vice versa) in order to save money on labor expenses. Unfortunately, I recently took my car to another mechanic that was closer, forgot about Khea's recommendations, and the other mechanic recommended I replace my water pump, but mentioned nothing about the timing belt. Long story short, $1200 later, I have a new water pump (among other repairs), but the same old timing belt. I found myself back at Auto Dynamix again today because my new (used) car has a fan that was draining my battery. All it needed was a fuse replaced, but it still took time out of their day what with test driving my car and diagnosing the issue. Khea refused to charge me anything! It's customer service like this that earns these repeated 5 star reviews and longtime clients. read more

We had a noise in our 2004 Subaru that sounded like there was an issue in our front right wheel area. Having recently moved back to Bellevue, we didn't have a trusted car care relationship, but it's safe to say: "WE DO NOW!" Khea was so very gracious in accommodating our appointment and got back to us mid-morning to verify some conditions and after some dialogue about the source of the noise he came back with the results. We needed new brake pads and the rotors turned. There was no BS, no horse trading, no shady talk. Straight up fair prices and honest talk. Seriously. What more could I ask for in a relationship with my car repair place? A lot more, I guess! When I got there to pick up the car, they were incredibly gracious and had the worn out parts that they had replaced to show what was done. A huge handshake and Khea took the time to find out about me, my business and where we were living. This is a man that take pride in his work, his employees and above all his customers. His attention to detail and fair pricing was a refreshing example of people that are turning around attitudes about a much maligned industry. I wish I could find people like Autodynamix to work with in all of my daily interactions. You absolutely won't be let down when you get your car into their care. read more

Khea and his team are quick, accurate and professional. I got in over my head with a "simple" HID headlight replacement and after realizing I'd leave it to the professionals, broke out trusty Yelp. I came here after reading rave reviews and was not let down!! Khea had my bulb replaced in a few short minutes! His store was clean and well stocked with random goodies for all cars. Khea, Thank you for your professional and quick service. In a world driven by superficial gain where no one says thank you nearly enough, your thoughtful courteous nature will certainly see me return for much more services as my Acura ages. Thank you!! read more

I visited this place to replace a broken passenger side mirror. They were very nice and friendly. They needed to order the mirror from manufacture, and it was ready next morning. I went there again and had it installed. They finished all the work in less an hour. One imperfection was that the camera under the mirror needed to be adjusted before the screen could display anything for it. They failed to figure out how to do so. I went home and figured out that I needed to print out a marker, put it at a certain position, enter the diagnostic tool on the screen, then let it aim. It took several attempts before accepting the aiming and showed the picture. However, the angle was not perfectly right. I will need to readjust it some time. read more

I've been taking my car to autodynamix for 4 years now. Khea and Dave have been amazing! I trust them with my car and really value that because my car is pretty old (2005 model) and needs good maintenance. They're always prompt with fixes and thorough. Because I've been a long time customer they occasionally waive diagnostic charges and small fixes. Those little things make a difference. read more

Since last year, I stopped sending my cars to dealer ship. Bellevue Honda doesn't even know the code for navigation reset. Bellevue BMW try to rip me off every time I sent my car in. I found AD through yelp. After tried couple times, I don't call others for price comparison any more because AD offers very fair prices, sometimes they don't even charge for minor fix/check. Just this morning, I sent in my Odyssey because of a little click sound when driving. AD checked and found a misplaced weight on my tire. I changed seasonal tire with COSTCO last week that's where it came from. It's not AD's responsibility at all. But they fixed the issue for me for FREE. They could easily charge me $50 for labor! read more
