Who doesn't put the coil in the spark plugs back when they're done with your car? This auto shop. I took my car in last month because I had a check engine light and I figured I'd get a first opinion before taking it to the dealership. The diagnostic/analysis is a fair price of 149.99 with a 10 dollar shop/labor fee. The issue was that I took it in and told them what was the issue as standard and they said it would take them a few hours but they'd call me when it was ready. I get a call about 6 hours later saying the car is ready and I go and grab it. They tell me that I have some issues with my spark plugs and some other things, I thank them, pay and take my leave. I get in the car, turn it on and can immediately feel something's wrong. I figure the car can make it down to my house which is past the casino but I was wrong. It started shaking and the check engine light was flashing and to be clear it was not doing this 6 hours ago. So I pull over, and call the auto shop, asking if they missed a step. They were insisting for me to come back to the shop to see if they can fix the issue for me but shouldn't they have made sure it would at least be in the same or better condition than when I dropped it off before saying it was ready and having me pay for the service? I declined and I got a tow truck to take it to the dealership. I later find out that they didn't put the coil on the spark plug? Thankfully my car has warranty so didn't have to pay anything else but I regret this shop. BEWARE. If you can take your car somewhere else for serious issues please do. If I could give zero stars I would. I came to the auto shop to do a pre-purchase inspection on a vehicle. I do not recommend anyone taking their vehicle to the shop. They told me that this vehicle was a great strong running vehicle in to go ahead and purchase it not even 30 days later I purchased a vehicle and my transmission went out. I called and I spoke with a guy up there asking how they ran the diagnostic testing on the vehicle. Said he hook the computer up to it and if everything passes that's great they do not test drive or anything. He has very poor customer service I just simply called up there to ask how everything was done and here it was extremely rude and told me not to blame him for the transmission going out in the car. I wasn't simply calling to blame him but ask how things are done how he got a good read for the transmission and not even 45 days of having the car the transmission went out. read more

Brought my car here off of the highway when my steering wheel was jerking. They ran a diagnostic and said it was my steering coupling and that it would cost $500. Wanted to take my car elsewhere since that sounded pricey to fix a part. They then told me it would be $150 just for the diagnostic. Eventually let them just fix it and paid for it. Went to pick up my car and all my electric wasn't working. The owner called it a "coincidence" when it worked perfectly fine before they had touched it. Never coming back here again, they were not honest about their pricing and the guys seem to have no idea of what's going on with cars. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

I came in after the undercarriage of my car got knocked off by the snow. They were super helpful! Instead of having me order a new one, they just took some bolts and put the whole thing back together, rigged it up, and charged me $150 for labor. Had it done in an hour flat. My hubby's truck failed the test at the emission station at the south end of town and went directly to 1st Auto Service for a diagnosis. The staff was very quick, but since we weren't ready for the $800 bill to replace the catalytic converter(s) we had to pay the fee for the time to plug in the machine and read the code... $218. What !?! If they actually did something... anything... I wouldn't be miffed... but they really didn't do a single thing besides plug in the machine to the port under the dash. (2 star deduction) The good news... the fee is over the minimum to get a waiver. The bad news... the receipt was so faint the emission staff couldn't make a copy for their records... so we don't even have the original anymore. (1 star deduction) read more

This is the worst place to go. Had a thing for oil changes on one of those Groupon sites. Got it called to make an apt, 2 mth out is when they could do it. Final was able to get it. (Not that they are super busy they are never open.) Then charged me 10 for disposal fees when the Groupon says 4.95. When asked why the different he stayed naming off all these different fees. Very very rude person. Then punched my coupon card for more then I asked him to do. Saying he did it all for me while he had time. 40 min for a oil change and full car inspection. I don't think so. This is the worst place ever. My car died across the street by the library and my husband ask how much it was going to cost to find out the problem. The man i'm assuming the owner said 85.00. When we got there the next day he said it was going to cost 1500 to fix everything which was oil change, timing belt, water pump + labor. I was in shock! I told my husband that they were overcharging us and their was no way i was going to pay that much. So, we said no and that we will tow it somewhere else. In the end our total was 393.18 just for them to take a look at our car and change the oil they claimed was empty. Nothing else!! They also charged us 50.00 just to move the car across the street to their shop. If i had known i would of pushed it there myself. The Asian man/owner i'm assuming said he meant 85.00 an hour for labor not to diagnosis it? What a rip off!! n I warmed my husband not to go to shop like that. Never ever again will i go nor refer anyone to his company. I can assure you his GREED will not take him far and KARMA will get him and his business soon enough!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! My emissions test failed because my check engine light was on. So i took it in to 1st auto. He said that he would do a test to figure out what was wrong with my car and then I could decide to have him fix it or not. Just to run the rest, I was charged $172 dollars to find that I needed a new thermostat (which is what the emissions test also told me). The owner told me that it would be another $190 to fix the thermostat, all in all, it would be about $400 for an easy fix. I know nothing about cars so I called around to other mechanics; all of them said that it could be done for $100 or less. I was furious! I did not need a waver to get my tabs since my mom lives in another county and is also on the title. I told him that I did not want his waver and wouldn't pay the fee for use of shop equipment and $150 of labor that took way less than an hour. My husband and I had to work hard but eventually got $50 back. This shop will try to rip you off, not tell the price ahead of time and target girls. I cannot recommend anyone going to this shop, they are not honest. read more
