The issue was totally resolved; the car runs better BUT: my formerly very very stiff clutch is now smooth like butter! Welp, it's back to Autocorrect, my favorite auto repair shop. I stride into the shop like a seasoned veteran returning to the front lines, coffee in hand, keys already halfway out of my pocket, and a face that says, "Ah yes... my old nemesis...the 10th visit." Toni doesn't even ask my name anymore. There's a ceremonial nod. Somewhere in the back, Brandon whispers, "He has returned," like it's the sequel nobody expected, but everyone was emotionally prepared for. My Mini Cooper sits there, freshly repaired, gleaming like it just graduated top of its class. It practically says, "This time, I mean it. I've changed." And to be fair, it has. Every time you pick it up, it runs like an absolute dream. Smooth, powerful, flawless. I do the walk-around inspection like a detective at a crime scene. Kick the tires. Squint at the engine bay. Maybe even give a respectful nod like, "Well done, gentlemen." Because to their credit, they always nail it. Whatever was wrong is gone. Fixed. Vanished into mechanical history. It's just... there always seems to be a new chapter. At this point, me and the shop have a relationship. Not a bad one, oh no, this is a high-quality, five-star, handshake-of-mutual-respect kind of relationship. I trust them. My car, however, is the wildcard, like a dramatic actor who keeps improvising new problems just to stay relevant. By visit number ten, I'm basically part of the team. I am out of state and am considering purchase of a car about 30 mins from Tacoma. I called to see if they could accommodate a pre-purchase inspection and my call was answered by a wonderful woman named Toni. I am in a customer service management role in California so I know what good customer service is. Within the first 60 seconds I had no interest in calling any other mechanic because of Toni. Toni's professionalism, warmth, and level of assistance was absolutely top caliber. Not only did she offer solutions using her expertise in the industry, she helped orient me a bit to the Tacoma area and nearby vicinity and made suggestions that helped an outsider like me who is totally unfamiliar with the area. And just as importantly, she sold me on the business by dropping a hint that nearby auto dealers don't always like their cars being inspected by Auto Correct because of the thorough job they do. Autocorrect. What a great name very much like the owners who are greet folks. I took my car to them for yesterday. Just chose about $200 but there's 9 mi. They gave me informed all the way.. how many called me to provide the diagnostic results they also had a quote in the end for the repair costs and parts labor etc and because I've been having such a rough time with illness and so forth the car theft and then no money to fix this car they gave me a break. I said donations to pay for the repair work and they sent me home with confidence and trust and wheels under entail so now I can get to work and get to the hospital 3 days a week. It's a real lifeline and I'm very grateful to them The rate was amazing and they had it done within a matter of an hour. She felt like I was going home to Alaska where I could trust people and they're right here in Tacoma. read more

These guys, more specifically, Brandon is truly the best. After having a nightmare few month with the dealership I got my truck from he reassured me he would figure out what they couldn't even though they claimed they did. He's the first person I talked to that didn't make me feel dumb for not being able to explain properly what was wrong. (Us girls are often treated differently when it comes to car stuff, sadly) Not only did he figure it out, he got it done the same day like he said. The best part is he saved the 32$ gasket that should have been changed when the dealership put a new exhaust manifold on and it gave me fuel to become "Super Karen" (no offense to nice Karen's). I originally had an appointment at another shop but after reading reviews I'm glad I made the last minute switch, this shop will be recommended and I'll def be coming back for any service. I was planning a big driving trip and wanted to be sure my car's major systems were running right. I priced several places - they were all about the same. But Toni actually *talked* to me. She wasn't rushed about it, asking several questions and making me feel comfortable and confident about coming in. I got the car there and left the shop since it was going to be quite a while. This is a good shop. I've had a couple Hondas worked on here. We had a larger job involving engine block and gasket repair and Brandon did good quality work on it (that was about two years ago and engine has been running well). Reasonable prices. We stopped coming here because we moved and wanted a shop nearby but now we're realizing the drive will be worth it. 3rd time I've been here now, and I can confidently and without hesitation recommend Brandon. His work is quick and efficient and reasonably priced. Toni, who is always pleasant and accommodating was able to fit me in this Tuesday 4/27 after I called on Friday after hearing a noise from front left tire area. I dropped the car off at 8 and he called me around 10 to give me a quote and options. Turns out I had a bad CV joint, bearing in the back and front brakes. Don't go to this shop. My ABS module went out on my 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid in February, and I had it towed here, first experience with this shop. They took a month to fix it, delaying the repair date and not calling me when there were updates. Last week, my brakes system started acting up again, different problem, but still with the ABS module. I brought it back to see if there may have been a problem with the installation. Brandon, who worked on my car both times, called me today and told me the codes they found were different from last time, but wouldn't tell me what they meant. I asked him what for clarification on what they meant, and he still wouldn't tell me, only told me the problem was different from last time. I said yes, the problem is different since it's a completely different module, and this problem arose after installation, so I wanted to see if there was a problem with the installation. He laughed at me, and said "I'm not playing that game." Confused, I asked "I'm sorry, sir, I don't understand, what game?" And he yelled at me, saying "There was nothing wrong with my installation! Have your dad call me, or come pick up this car." (I am a woman, and my grandfather is who he was referring to. Back in March, Brandon would only be direct and honest with my grandfather, and talk to him about the problems going on.) I said "Sir, I never said there was a problem with the installation, I wanted to know IF there was a problem with the installation, which is why I brought it back to where I had it installed." He yelled and laughed again, said "Yes you DID! I'm done, have your dad call me or come pick up this car." He then hung up on me. I am still shocked by how childish and arrogant this person was, and seems to be incredibly misogynistic. Please don't go to this shop, you may end up with terrible work and customer service from the mechanics. read more

I followed the Yelp reviews here when the place a friend recommended was booked up and I was not disappointed. Brandon went above and beyond today. Not only could he see my car same day, he also fixed it same day! And threw in a free battery (+install) after fixing the issue that brought me in (AC compressor). The prices were more than fair and the customer service was excellent--in addition to generally being nice and friendly, explaining the issue, fix, and costs clearly, and being quick, after he brought the car around, Brandon even put the seat back to my short-person position! I've taken my Infiniti QX-56 into Brandon for a couple of years now. My experience was a positive one up until two weeks ago. I took my truck in for an oil change experiencing a very minor leak. After his new mechanic performed the service, the leak had gotten worse. I took my truck back the next day only to be talked to with disrespect by the owner. I was then told I needed a new catalytic converter. I decided to have a complete diagnostic performed on my truck, only to learn that his feedback was incorrect. Also, the penion seal repair he done was also botched. I understand that mistakes can be made. But to be talked to with disrespect, and lied to is unprofessional to say the least.
