So when I saw this shop on our way to and from work I was excited. Shop always looked neat and clean. :) Booking the appointment with Blake was seamless and quick. Brought the car in and Mel did a really thorough job of making sure he understood why we were bringing in the vehicle (there was a list!). Shop was very clean and well kept. Mike called us around noon and explained everything. Very professional, unassuming, and candid. I appreciated that he took the time to explain what was done, what needed to be done based on specific issues that were found, and addressed the items they could not diagnose. He even went so far as to explain how issues are diagnosed and that nothing had come up for one of our concerns. Everyone we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable and candid. They called when they said they would as well. So we were always well informed. Will be back!

Luckily they were able to fit me in the same day as a waiter. He said it would take a while but I was in and out within an hour. It was so fast! I forgot to get his name who helped me but he was super nice and friendly. I also appreciated that they didn't try to sell me on any other services. Very happy with my oil change experience and would highly recommend!

    I had a really excellent experience with Eastside Auto Care. My check engine light came on a few…read moreweeks ago, but I procrastinated making an appointment. Then my car started leaking a small quantity of oil - maybe 2 or 3 tablespoons. So I decided it was urgent enough, I looked on Yelp, and I chose Eastside Auto Care based on the positive reviews. I called to make an appointment to drop it off on a Thursday afternoon so that they could diagnose the check engine light and the leaking oil on Friday. They said that they would give me a call back between 9-10 AM on Friday. At around 11:30 AM, I called because I hadn't heard anything, and they apologized because they were really busy. No problem with me - I appreciated the apology! They diagnosed the check engine light as a faulty oxygen sensor, said that I needed an oil change rather urgently, and recommended a number of other repairs that I agreed that I needed but wanted to postpone, as I'm in the process of buying a new car. I authorized the oxygen sensor and the oil change. I received another call a few minutes later, apologizing for an error on the quote, and it would be about $20 more than they had originally quoted me. Again, that was totally fine with me because they were apologetic and upfront about it. I told them that if they couldn't finish it by Friday afternoon, it was fine to keep it until Monday. At about 3:30 PM, I called to check on the status of the car and they said that it would be ready Monday morning. Today (Monday), I received a call at about 8:30 AM that my car was ready. I picked it up and I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the total was $200 less than the estimate. They double-checked to make sure that they had done the bill correctly, and they had. They also gave me a discount because of the original error in the quote and for being referred by looking at Yelp reviews. What I would like to highlight in my review are that a few things happened that would normally be an indication of poor customer service - not calling when they said that they would, getting the quote wrong initially and having to revise upward - but because Eastside Auto Care was so courteous and apologetic, I didn't mind at all, and it did not lower my opinion of them. Everybody makes mistakes, and all that we can do when we make mistakes is to own up to them and apologize. I look forward to taking my new car to Eastside Auto Care in the near future!

    This is a criminal enterprise. I previously left a positive review based on the quality brake work…read moreperformed by the PREVIOUS ownership. I came to them in 2021, not knowing about the ownership change and happy with previous work because my car losing engine power then turning off for no reason. Turning it back on would fix thr problem for 20 minutes then it would repeat These guys charged me nearly $700 dollars to "replace sensors" and didn't keep the parts they allegedly removed even when I specifically asked them to. Less than a month later the same problem happened on the highway ans the car turned off completely and I needed hundreds to tow it and at that point I had to pay $2k for a new alternator! They refused to return my money. Even worse, when they did their "repairs", they lazily put all the car panels in my back seat rather than under the hood where they belong. Not only completely dishonest work but absolutely sloppy and lazy too.

Jim took a look at our vehicle himself - he called me and thoroughly explained my issues (some I knew of - some I had suspicions of ) and then gave me options for new or re-manufactured - but still warrantied- parts. Jim then called my husband and explained this all to him as well. I was quite sure I wasn't going to correctly relay all this info to my hubby. Altogether Jim spent over 30 minutes talking with us both - explaining our options and scheduling service. As promised, our vehicle was done on time - he even cut over $150 off our bill - since they completed the work in less time than estimated. Since then we have brought both vehicles to Jim. He and his team have replaced a clutch in one car and installed a blower to our heater in the other. Replacing belts where needed (each car had over 100k miles and needed some TLC) and setting up reminders for items to take care of at our next oil change. We no longer take our vehicles for "Quick-Lube Service". Jim's is the ONLY place we will bring our vehicles. Jim has always been very courteous and polite - and he is a BUSY man, but always takes the time to answer our questions. Their pricing is very fair - it may not always be the cheapest you could find - but the care they take and proficiency in their trade makes it worth every penny.

    I had a very negative experience renting a truck through this location operating as Jim's…read moreAutomotive (U-Haul dealer). First, be aware: although this is an automotive business, they also act as a U-Haul rental location from the same address. My issue is specifically with the truck rental service. At the time of rental, I was clearly told that I did NOT need to refill the gas and could just return the truck. I asked multiple times to confirm this, and another person with me (listed driver Muhammet Emin Bilgin) understood the same. Later, I was charged for fuel anyway. I was also advised that returning the truck to the same location would be cheaper than dropping it off in Kent. That turned out to be misleading, since I was charged for both mileage and fuel. I returned the truck within about 5 hours on a Saturday, yet I was charged for an additional day because the business was closed Sunday. That makes no sense and should not be the customer's responsibility. When I tried to resolve the issue, I spoke directly with the owner, which made the situation even more disappointing. Instead of helping, he repeatedly interrupted me, would not let me explain, and accused me of being rude while cutting me off during the call. They may try to separate themselves by saying this is a different business (U-Haul vs. Jim's Automotive), but the service is provided at the same location, by the same people. As a customer, that distinction is meaningless. Overall, I feel misled and overcharged. I strongly recommend that people avoid renting trucks from this location and go through a corporate location instead.

    WARNING: They Damaged My Car and Still Charged $5700 plus…read moreZERO STAR!!! This is without question one of the worst auto repair shops I've ever dealt with. I brought my Mercedes GL450 in for suspension work. They kept my vehicle for more than a week and then charged me $5700 plus. Instead of fixing my car properly, they damaged it. During their work, they broke the coolant radiator and all the related hoses, causing coolant leaks that did not exist before I brought the car in. This damage was clearly the result of their negligence, yet they refused to take responsibility or offer a proper resolution. Charging luxury-car prices while delivering careless, incompetent work is unacceptable. Keeping a customer's car for over a week and returning it in worse condition shows a complete lack of professionalism and skill. I was left with extra repair costs, lost time, and serious frustration--all because this shop failed to do a basic job correctly. If you value your vehicle, especially a Mercedes or any high-end car, stay away from this shop. Paying $5700 plus to have your car damaged is something no customer should ever experience.

And they were very tight-lipped about it, but they finally disclosed when I became angry that Joe is no longer the owner of this establishment. After receiving an estimate that was going to be a couple of $1000 (that should have been for free), I angrily left with my family. Stay away!! I will never again step foot within this establishment!!!
