a woman sitting at a counter
    Emmanuela U.

I walked in to this exact location and left extremely upset with how I was unfairly treated by Maria. Everything was fine in the beginning when a much younger woman was assisting me at the checkout. I came into Firehouse subs looking to redeem a T-Mobile offer that I became aware of on my app. As the young woman was assisting me, and as I checked out, I had realized that I came with the wrong purse being that I switched bags after a vacation I came back from. Unfortunately I was 40 cents short using a gift card I found in my purse so I insisted on furthering my purchase by using a different form of payment. Maria came out of nowhere and began trying to process my order. When I asked what was going on and if she could simply keep Whatever I pay for and I just take a cookie instead to cop out the chips, she refused. I insisted on going to my car and she refused again. Mind you the T-Mobile off only gives a 5 minute time limit to redeem the offer. Afterwards she kept insisting that I swipe my card again and I told her that I still wanted to make a purchase and what she was doing made no sense. I asked her what was she doing so she could explain and she kept ignoring me and kept yelling at me to swipe my card. I refused because I simply have no clue why she'd want me to swipe again. I told her that she can keep the money and I'll just grAb a cookie instead which was a lot more cheaper than a bag of chips that she was creating a scene over. I couldn't believe that this was actually happening and felt so humiliated. She has 0 sense of customer service whatsoever and didn't understand English at all which I didn't have an issue with explaining to her. She started to then scream at me some More and I finally gave in and gave her my card. All for her to purposely erase my order. I asked her what about re-running my transaction and receiving my offer. Maria refused and walked away saying it wasn't her issue. She then stated that and walked away some more with an attitude and laughed about it. I couldn't believe it so I grabbed my phone to video record and her mood changes. I asked her to repeat what she said to me and I asked if she could give me the manager contact. Maria refused. She stated that she didn't care and told me If I called to speak with a manager it wouldn't matter. I asked her again can I please have the contact. She refused again. I asked Maria 3 good times if I could receive the managers contact & she stated that she wasn't allowed to give the information. I find that very strange considering that another customer was also complaining over her order. Unfortunately another customer was having issues and she pointed out to me that the consumer line contact and that I should report to the number listed on the wall. As soon as the customer stated that, Maria got quiet and walked away. Maria was absolutely unprofessional and was verbally rude and confrontational. I will be contacting corporate regarding this matter. I've never felt so humiliated. The way I was treated made me felt less accepted especially being a person of color. I've never had encounter where someone found it okay to be in my face. Even after I've stated that I'd pay in a different form I was still denied service over 40 cents. I could not believe this. I literally asked to run to my car and Maria denied that all for what exactly? To be flat out evil. I will be contacting the consumer reports and this will be reposted. It was embarrassing that even her fellow co-worked looked at her in shock and she still continued to be rude towards me in front of others. If she doesn't want to work there she can handle that elsewhere but to take your frustrations out on customers is a horrible look on this franchise overall. I was not the only person who complained regarding Maria's attitude. She doesn't need to be employed at Firehouse or any position that requires providing quality customer service.

Before I mention anything about the food, I have to comment on the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff and management of this location! Immediately upon walking in we were greeted by some of the friendliest people I've come across in quite some time. Everyone seemed happy to be there! Kudos to the management on running a great establishment! Now on to the food...DELICIOUS!! I tried their special - the Jamaican Jerk Turkey sandwich and it was absolutely wonderful! My mouth was hit with an exceptional flavor explosion! My gf ordered the Turkey Bacon Ranch and also loved it. The best part about this, I've finally found a nearby sandwich place to make my gf stop ordering Jimmy Johns!! Hooray! We will definitely be returning soon!

    Spicy meatball sub

The first thing you notice when you walk into Firehouse Subs is the smell. The second is the smoke. It almost felt like walking into a bar, with cigarette smoke making the view toward the back of the room hazy. Except this smoke smells a million times better than cigarette smoke. It smells like meat. My favorite. Firehouse Subs claims their subs are better because they steam the meat. And steam they do. I'll have to test that theory on another visit because this go 'round I had my eye on the Sweet & Spicy Meatball Sub (limited time offer, according to the website). Holy shit was this was a good sub. The meatballs were true Italian meatballs - no ground chuck rolled into a ball here, folks - and the sub was loaded with them. The marinara sauce was indeed sweet - with a hint of BBQ flavor - with generous chunks of bell pepper and chili pepper throughout the sauce and crushed red pepper flakes sprinkled on top. The provolone cheese melted perfectly to the crunchy bread, which stayed crunchy as the bottom went soft from the sauce. Very important blending of textures there. My absolute favorite thing about this sub is the fact that when I opened the Styrofoam container (that gets a star all by itself, you can't serve a meatball sub wrapped in deli paper) I found a fork and knife nestled next to my sub. Nice. This is not a sub to be eaten with your hands and the kind folks at Firehouse Subs realize that. I didn't find my pickle spear until I'd eaten half the sub because it was hidden behind the deli paper. But that didn't distract me one bit. In fact, when I found my pickle, I realized that I'd forgotten to grab a bag of chips. Turns out that was a good move. I was so full when I finished the sub that chips would have just added insult to injury. Add my bad ass $7 lunch combo to the fact that Firehouse Subs runs The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to assist firefighters in all kinds of financial ways and you've got a 5 star joint in my book.

    Hook & Ladder...fully involved!

Firehouse sandwiches are great. This location had bad service and management wouldn't help me out at all when I had a slight problem.

Small sandwiches for the price. Had to get a medium and a large to fill up. $18 on firehouse sammiches does not compute.

I'd say my total time waiting to order was 5 minutes and my total time waiting for food was 10, even with how crowded it was. I ordered the White Chicken Parmesan. I've never had gluten free pasta before this and there was no strange taste or texture. The sauce was bright and very lemony. I will say the pasta was in oddly short pieces so don't expect to twirl your noodles on your fork! The chicken was well cooked and seasoned with a nice crust. The raw tomato addition didn't do too much for me but I didn't mind it overall. The soda fountain is an adorable tap that boasted drinks like cola, sparkling lemonade, cream soda, root beer and more. I'm not usually a fan of off brand cola but this one was great, if not a little watery for my taste. My pasta dish overall was $15.50, which was a great price for the amount I received. The plate was large and easily more than one portion. This is definitely one of the best "health food" places I've been to. Will definitely be back!

The French onion soup seems to be popular here, and as soon as I saw that buttery-looking pastry puff baked on top, I knew I had to order it! It was definitely hearty, with plenty of onions (which I love). However, it was a bit saltier than I prefer. I do wish there were an option to substitute the onion soup with a chowder, like clam or corn chowder. The Reuben eggrolls were surprisingly good! I'm used to traditional Asian eggrolls, so I really liked this creative twist. The house-smoked pastrami, sauerkraut, and melted Gruyère cheese worked so well together. They tasted amazing with the spicy Russian dipping sauce (which I appreciated wasn't too spicy). It was such a flavorful and memorable dish! I'm glad I gave it a try.

I also recommend the fondue as we have enjoyed that one in the past. Tonight bf got spicy rigatoni and I got carbonara. The carbonara here is great, very rich and tastes SO good when you mix in the poached egg. It's so rare to find a carbonara that isn't just Alfredo. Bf commented that the rigatoni actually had a kick to it (he says places tend to under spice a "spicy pasta") and he enjoyed his dish. We have also gotten pizza here before and highly recommend. Their dough and marinara sauces are incredible. Overall a nice place on the upscale side. On Friday nights like tonight, it can be LOUD, which is a downside.
