I really wanted to try this place but after placing an online order for the family and then waiting 20 mins in the restaurant- only to be told that they are an hour behind. We wait another 25 mins and are THEN told that they cancelled our order and will refund us. Really?? Just like that? No offer to give us a beverage for all of our time and energy we just wasted? Contacted customer service to see if they could make it "right" and all we got was a "we are working on improving" really? I bet they tossed out a ton of food that day; when they could have just given it to us while we were waiting -- like hey" what did you order?" Me" 4 sandwiches, 4 drinks and 4 sides " - them" ok , here you go- Bye!" ! What a waste. The entire episode was ridiculous and we were very hungry! The young ladies behind the counter were overwhelmed and looked clueless as they called out names for walk-in orders, yet nobody showed up to picked them up. Meanwhile the rest of us were standing around looking like idiots for nearly an hour waiting for our online order. So serving people inside took precedence and online customers were relegated to some odd combo of a numeric code and guest order code on a display screen. Some had codes and partial names. Nobody in the crowd understood the code/code & name/code. It was a big guessing game. Why didn't someone take charge? I could have gone behind the counter and filled orders faster for online with whatever was left for those who didn't pick up in house orders! And don't get me started on the mounds of chicken just sitting under the lights waiting to be packaged up! There's 100% a gimmick factor to this place. I will preface by saying I've visited Japan, so I've tried "Asian style" fried chicken AND pasta, and I struggled with this. The plain, non-spicy chicken (as I don't like spice) had no flavor in the breading. The chicken was juicy and decently cooked, but the breading fell completely flat and also tasted old in a bad way. I got the side of spaghetti, and bf and I agreed it tasted like BBQ sauce in a really weird way. Bf said the gravy tasted similar so maybe there was gravy in it. I took two bites and did not finish it. To top all of it off, the soda I tried to get tasted flat and off. I don't think I'll be back. Swung by Jollibee around 6:30 p.m. and was pleasantly surprised at how fast everything came out. It wasn't too busy, but still -- my 6pc spicy bucket and ube pie were ready in literally a minute. The ube pie was pretty good. Crunchy on the outside with a sweet ube filling inside. The spicy chicken was juicy with a slow-burn heat. It came with their signature gravy, which is basically required for dipping. Fast service, good food, and no hassle. Couldn't ask for more. The spicy chicken was very well seasoned and perfectly cooked, the chicken even has spicy seasoning inside the chicken under the breading. I will warn that they don't mess around with spice here, it is pretty hot. The mashed potatoes were quite good, I have no complaints from them, they were buttery, well seasoned and had just the right amount of texture still left. My meal was very good and the food came out very quickly. I tried some of my partner's food and I found the original non-spicy chicken extremely bland, still well cooked, but almost no flavor aside from chicken, salt, and oil. for me, jollibee is always a hit or miss. The chicken is pretty good and I always like it better when they have a spicy option because it's so much more well seasoned that their regular flavored counterparts. I did have the craziest stomach ache the morning after. My favorite side from them is the spaghetti. I also think their fries are easy to eat and I like the mashed potatoes as well.
