About my 5 the time here last night! I made a reservation in advance for the dining room. I did request to be seated in the booths by live music. We were seated at a high top and were told the dining room was unavailable. We watched a couple before us get seated in a booth by the music that didn't have a reservation. A bummer to see as it was a birthday and we come here often. We did get switched to the dining room after talking with another hostess. Sadly the hostess was unfriendly. The food is still amazing. The ceasar salad is truly the best in the city! First time trying the meatballs and I loved these too. My bf opted for a parm crusted fillet and I tried the macaroni! Park crusted was amazing, the filet is cooked perfectly here! The macaroni is so saucy and flavorful! They did bring out a birthday tiramisu too! My girlfriends and I had a Girls Night Dinner on 2/12/26 and decided to come here for dinner. All of us parked our cars with valet for $18. Valet offered to park our car in front of the restaurant for an extra fee, we declined - more on that later. We walk in and are immediately greeted. It was hopping in there. Inside is beautiful, very posh. There is a bar area with table seating which they were going to seat us but we asked to sit in the dining area. Staff was attentive and friendly. They gave us complimentary bread and olives both which were tasty. Loved the beautiful china they used. We started off with the impressive tableside caesar salad. That was a joy to watch (see video). The salad was very tasty. We order our main entrees of Meatballs, Chicken Parmesan, King Crab Linguini. My friend enjoyed her Meatballs. Even though the Chicken Parm looked divine, my friend had to send it back because it was overcooked on the bottom side of the chicken. They made another one for her and it was fine. My King Crab Linguini I didn't like as they had to have added fresh lemon all over it which destroyed the flavor of the entree for me. I didn't want to send it back since my friend sent hers back but after eating, I let the waitress know I couldn't eat the dish. What was impressive was the manager came over to talk to us about our dinners. She apologized to my friend for the Chicken mishap and also to me for my dinner. She kept offering me to let the kitchen prepare something else. I respectfully declined as I had another event that evening that I needed to get to. Even though I didn't enjoy my meal, I give a big thumbs up for how they handled the situation to try their best to make it right. It's total vibe in there. They celebrate bdays, etc. with a lighting show (see video) which was fabulous. It was time to go so I went to valet to get my car. I have a luxury vehicle. The attendant working there was nice enough to park my car on the opposite side of the entrance and not the lot. He told me he did that because the lot has had vandalism of people breaking into cars. I was shocked over this information - why not inform patrons of this beforhand? I would of given 5 stars for this review but upon hearing that, I had to take away a star because more security needs to be implemented in that lot if that is happening. You shouldn't be going to a fine dining, high priced establishment to come back to a car that's been broken into. And in that area, there is nowhere else to park so you're just stuck. Classy, sultry, and gorgeous. The ambient and strategically placed lighting sets the tone immediately as soon as you enter those heavy doors, but the space manages not to be TOO dark. Our vibe was very much in "girl dinner" territory, as we had drinks, a few shared apps, and a couple of salads for the table. So returning for the steak and other entrees is a must. I'm kicking myself for not writing down the server's name (I hate to guess, and if it's not Alexis I'm sorry!), but they had short blonde hair and they were AWESOME. Great energy and extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the menu. Side note: Presentation was so fun. Bread service isn't just a basket delivered to the table, but rather a person who wheels out the bread and accoutrements and plates it for each guest individually. I also have a special place in my heart for any establishment that does a proper martini glass refresh. My favorite dishes so far are the tuna tartare, calamari, and the chopped salad. And the aromatics from the tobacco infused in the Old Fashioned? So satisfying. 10's across the board. OH! And how could I forget the surprise tiramisu and limoncello that arrived with the check? We came here for dinner Memorial Day weekend. The ambiance is beautiful. Definitely somewhere you come on a date night or special occasion. Everyone seemed appropriately attired for the place as well. The drinks were good and the table side Caesar salad was excellent. They have both steak and Italian pasta dishes. We had a mix on both. One of the two steaks was good. The other had a very odd consistency and flavor. The crab pasta was a bit more citrus flavored than I liked, but was still a nice dish. Huge portions. Lots of crab meat. The service was just ok. At times we couldn't find our waiter, but service wasn't bad. It wasn't as attentive as I would expect for such an establishment. My group and I were able to snag a reservation last minute on a Tuesday night which was fantastic! The ambiance was very intimate and sultry, perfect for groups or a date night. When entering, you come across a lounge bar where there is live music. The larger dining room is fairly big with gorgeous luxe booth seating and along the walls are your standard dining tables. Our group of 10 had a large table set up for us in the corner. Our server was also fantastic and very knowledgable about the menu. Can I also say everyone working here is also dressed wonderfully?! The table-side caesar salad was delicious and the bread that came with our meal was served out of a grand box which was a delightful elevated experience. The calamari frito misto was delicious - the asparagus and squid were perfectly tender. I really enjoyed the macaroni alla vodka pasta! There was a slight citrus zing to it which i loved. The dry-aged ribeye was also good, but I've had better at other spots. What an absolutely decadent and memorable visit we had for a family celebration at Fioretta! To start, the cocktails, wine list and fresh foccaccia bread set the stage for the entrees to come. We also ordered a couple of tableside Cesar salads, one with anchovies. It was a treat watching the salad being mixed with the freshest ingredients, and a lot of lemon zest and parmesan cheese. For dinner, I had the Cacia e Pepe over the thick spaghetti and while it was suggested to get a side with the smaller pasta dishes, I was pretty full after the bread and salad. My husband's 7 ounce filet was a perfect medium rare and tasted exceptional with a side of sautéed mushrooms. He ordered a Pinot Noir with his filet and also the marscapone mashed potatoes. My daughter ordered the lobster Diavlo with squid ink pasta and it was the equivalent of a family-sized platter. Be forewarned, it is a lot of food and an expensive meal, but nice for a special celebration. Also, the restaurant adds gratuity for 5+ guests at tables. For dessert, the tiramisu and pistachio Gelato were a sweet ending to a lovely night. I would like to return for Happy Hour bites and live music in the bar some week night. read more

This weekend we held a private dining dinner for our wedding reception. I definitely recommend using Fioretta if you want to plan any sort of event. Their team was fast, efficient, and very kind. The whole process wasn't smoothly but our guests were disappointed there was no valet before opening hours. To say I was blown away by this dining experience is an understatement. I came here for dinner on a Friday night with a group of friends and it is incredible. From the moment we walked in, you are greeted by a welcoming and hospitable team. The restaurant is quite large, and we were seated in one of the smaller rooms off from the side of the bar. It was perfect for us so we could chat and catch up with one another. We started the evening with cocktails and a few appetizers. The restaurant offers amazing complimentary bread service that is table side. We also ordered the meat balls that came with three total and the chopped salad. The salad was definitely my favorite starter from our menu. For main dishes, we ordered the chicken parmesean, a steak and the vodka pasta. I was completely full by the end of the evening, but of course, we still finished the meal with the chocolate cake. I would definitely recommend this spot if you are looking to celebrate an important milestone, have a romantic evening with a significant other, or grab dinner with a group of friends. Came here for another restaurant week! Loved the vibes of Fioretta. There was a jazz ensemble also playing in background. The restaurant week special had some add ons included. We started off with the wood roasted oysters and Caesar salad. The Caesar salad was a little salty, but the oysters were pretty yummy and warm. For the second course, we substituted one of the courses for the 16 oz New York strip and the other is the chicken Parmesan. I was a little disappointed with the chicken parm (my fault because I thought it included pasta). We paid $40 more for the New York strip and it was perfectly charred on the outside with a nice medium rare touch inside. Also, the tiramisu was so BOMB!! I loved everything about it and I had a second stomach as soon as the dessert came. I think this place is okay to try out at least once. This restaurant is definitely for special occasions or a once a year type of meal. It's even better if you have the Chase Sapphire reserved so you can get that doing credit. read more

The vibe was a cross between a chic, upscale speakeasy and vintage Chicago steakhouse. Loved the intimate lighting, comfortable seating options and city feel. This is definitely a restaurant frequented by the in crowd, and I see the attraction! The cocktails were creative and tasty and the mixologist will tailor the cocktail according to your preferences, if you ask. The menu is approachable and ample for all except vegans, as there were not many non-dairy/meat-free options; however, they do offer delicious vegetables as side dishes. I loved that the menu wasn't overloaded with everything under the sun, it offered just the right amount of beef, poultry, seafood and pasta options. Our group had a set menu and everyone enjoyed all of the entrées. The feeling when you walk in is, " I want to be here and be seen here". Was in Fioretta on Monday for a double date and had heard nothing but great things for ages, so was happy to finally have an excuse to pop in. The interior feels very mobster-like with all the staff dressed in bowties, and booths everywhere, plus dark lighting, a piano player, etc. Like I would go there to have a meeting between familigias, yaknowwhatimean? I started with the Nice N' Easy cocktail, which was Grey Goose-based with bergamotto, elderflower, lemon, and prosecco. So many of my favorite flavors in drinks, I had no choice but to order. It came to the table dressed in flower petals and tasted bright and flowery. We ordered the wood-fired oysters, which were super, super flavorful and maybe the best non-raw oysters I've had. The Fioretta chopped salad was also ordered to start, and was quite nice, actually. Very much exactly what you would expect. My final dish was the chicken parm, which greatly exceeded expectations. I would have been gagged if there was an accompanying pasta of some sort (not that I would have had room for it), but this chicken cutlet was massive, breaded to perfection, and had the PERFECT balance of cheese and sauce. Plus a little scamorza and robiola cheese tied together the dish expertly. It may be my new favorite chicken parm in the city, and I take that so serious. Our server, Shark, was slay af. A couple times we wondered if we were forgotten. We did arrive for our reservation about 10 mins late, and it took them about 10 mins from when we arrived to get us seated. It took a while for them to take our order, and between courses there seemed a somewhat excessive gap. Not an egregious wait, but a bit annoying. The food and drinks were about the same. Not terrible, but kinda left something to be desired. Our drinks were pretty standard for what we ordered. For food we got the asparagus and chopped salad to share. I ordered the filet and my wife got the halibut. The bread and chopped salad were delicious! The asparagus wasn't impressive, good, but not anything to write home about. The filet was cooked perfect, but was a little over salted. The most disappointing was that the halibut was overcooked. It was dry and a little tough as a result. We were there for my wife's birthday, and they did treat us to a complementary dessert for it, which was a nice surprise. The live music was a nice touch and started by 7 on this Thursday night. We got the petite filet, rigatoni carbonara, and a ceasar salad. The interior is very simple, the background music is just loud enough to still be able to have conversations, and the vibe is lively. Our server made recommendations and the service throughout the evening was attentive and efficient. On this first visit, I've tried: PROSCIUTTO & BURRATTA- outstanding CACIO E PEPE- made perfectly PETITE FILET MIGNON- excellent SLOW ROASTED PORK SHANK- the meat was so tender and delectable DECADENT CHOCOLATE CAKE - I am not a cake person but this one made me very happy. The bread service was good enough to make me come here and the cocktails were also made well. Overall, the bathrooms are clean, the staff are prompt and nice, and the dishes are simply delicious. Came here for Chicago Restaurant Week with friends and had a terrible experience. We were told we couldn't take pictures with flash, our waiter Patrick was rude, and the service was bad from start to finish. The food was disappointing, and they wouldn't allow anyone at our table to order from the main menu because some of us were doing the Restaurant Week menu. Every other Restaurant Week restaurant I've been to allows this, so it felt unnecessary. I also spoke to the manager, who was robotic and more focused on explaining company policy than actually caring about the customer experience. The whole experience felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. Between the service and how we were treated, it honestly left me feeling singled out. Save your coins. Definitely not worth it. read more

It's not clear if the dining room is for bigger groups, but the small table by the bar was just fine. My waitress was excellent; super attentive and had great recommendations for everything I consumed. I'll cut to the chase - I had the NY strip with brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes and it was all fantastic. I judge a steakhouse by how good the leftovers are, and that stuff was STILL tasty the next day. Because it was my birthday I was given a lovely tiramisu on the house. We dined at Fioretta during Thanksgiving and they offered a 4 course meal. Upon entering I noticed everybody was dressed up and it's a very nice spot where you go out for a special occasion. I started off with the meatballs where you get two large meatballs in a delicious marinara sauce. Then move on to a salad and got the kc strip as my main course. Then for dessert I got a delicious lemon meringue cake. They made our thanksgiving feel special when we were away from our family. Fioretta is a really cool spot! Walking in felt like stepping onto the set of A Bronx Tale or Goodfellas. The ambiance is moody and vintage, with dim lighting and oldies music playing softly in the background such a vibe! The layout and decor of the restaurant were thoughtfully done and definitely made an impression. We started off the evening with cocktails, I tried the Rhuby Martini, which was unfortunately a bit too sweet for my taste. My partner had an extra dirty martini, and that one was actually really good nicely balanced. For dinner, I switched to a Sauvignon Blanc, while my partner enjoyed a Cabernet Sauvignon, both of which paired well with our meals. To start, we ordered the Fioretta Chopped Salad and the Tuna Tartare Crudo. Both were okay not bad, but we were hoping for a bit more of a wow factor, especially with the tartare. For the main course, though, everything hit the mark. I had the Chicken Parmesan and it was cooked to absolute perfection crispy, flavorful, and satisfying. My partner had the 16oz New York Strip with Grilled Asparagus, and both were delicious and well-executed. Overall, Fioretta nails the atmosphere and serves up a solid meal. A few dishes underwhelmed slightly, but the mains definitely made up for it. The steak was good but the lobster pasta was my absolute favorite. The black truffle agnolotti sauce was decadent! We shared pasta, vodka, steak, and then a few sides. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The broccoli was a skip. The steak was excellent prepared and the pasta was a skip, but we also used gluten-free noodles. We ended with the olive oil cake which was light and the perfect end of the meal. My first experience at Fioretta was not great. I went to Fioretta last week on Saturday night. I didn't have a reservation and planned to just grab a seat at the bar. I walked into the restaurant and there were two or three young ladies standing behind the hostess table. You would think they would've greeted me as I walked in. No. Instead they just looked at me waiting for me to say something. I said hello, I don't have a reservation but I'm just going to sit at the bar... their only words to me were "ok." I walked away thinking to myself wow that wasn't a great first impression of this place. Went over sat at the bar which was very full due to it being Saturday night. I have to say I'm very happy that I chose to sit in the bar area because I had a great view of the band that playing music that night. They were wonderful and I enjoyed listening to the music and watching them perform. They were honestly the highlight of my evening. The food was mediocre and left much to be desired. I'm a huge lover of Brussels sprouts and theirs had to be the worst I've ever had in my life. They had a very strong vinegar flavor. I took one bite and left the rest. The rest of the food was underwhelming as well. I would consider coming back to Fioretta for a cocktail and to enjoy the live music. Outside of that it's a hard pass for me as there are way better restaurants with better food and service in Chicago. read more

If there's an award for "sexy restaurant" Fioretta wins hands down! Right upon entrance the ambience is sultry and upscale with professional staff to greet you. The bar area is sunken into a lower level with dimly lit lights. On the way to the main dining room, high end wines line the glass wine storage and we were greeted by our waiter even before we reached the table. A complimentary aperitif was brought out and it was delicious! Fioretta is participating in "Chicago's restaurant week" experience so we went for it and also added on a pasta. For first course, baked clams and wagu meatballs in tomato sauce were both exquisite and well presented. Not a large portion but enough to get the appetite excited. Next came out a mushroom and cheese lasagna, it was okay but not what we expected. We still ate it, lol. We both ordered the 6oz petite fillet medium rare, with a side of bordelaise sauce. Nice cut, presented on a warm plate with a roasted garlic bulb. That got a bit messy. Our waiter said he had planned to assist with pulling the garlic cloves out for us but we beat him to it so he was kind enough to bring over hot towels so the garlic wasn't all over our fingers. The final course was a light and creamy tiramisu. I wish it was a bigger portion but it was wonderful along with a cappuccino. With drinks, the tab came to $220 plus gratuity. The experience was worth it for a sexy steakhouse in West Loop. read more

Came here for a birthday dinner on a Thursday evening. Ambiance was beautiful with live music at the bar area that we were able to enjoy prior to being seated. I requested a booth in my reservation and that did result in waiting 30 minutes past our reservation time. That was a little unexpected as I also had to walk up to the host multiple times on if our table was ready, communication was poor. Once we were seated, we were pleased with waiting for a booth. However, just keep in mind that the booths in the corner are very tight so it can be unpleasant to have to squeeze between them. We order side service Caesar Salad, which was excellent, heavy on dressing but the croutons were fantastic. We also ordered our sides and steak medium well shortly after but it seemed like we were forgotten about. The steaks (filet mignon) took over 40 mins along with the sides. My 10oz filet mignon arrived very dry. It seemed closer to well done. The side seasoning provided to the table was very salt heavy, so that could use some work. Creamed corn & mashed potatoes were creamy and fluffy! The macaroni alla vodka was underwhelming. It tasted like an old pasta that was heavy on tomato. It did not taste like alla vodka from other fine dining restaurants. The men's bathroom had a very strong stench, I wish they would invest in a bathroom attendant, that would really have improved the atmosphere. Forgot to mention the birthday tirmasu was excellent and I am not a tiramisu fan! I would likely return as the steaks are halal from Linz Heritage so other halal steak options are limited. But otherwise I wouldn't return if the steak was cooked subpar. read more

Had the most wonderful dinner last night with the hubby. Food was delicious my squid ink lobster pasta was to die for. Perfect flavors with a hint of Calabrian chili spice to it. Ambience was great with live music and the service was amazing. read more

Fioretta - Lobster Diavolo - Italian Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Another year, another round of "Steakcation" meals with friends around the city. For my third steak dinner of the week, we tried out Fioretta, in part because I had not been before. My friend and I sat at the bar, and that was the right move. On a Tuesday night, we had a lounge singer, relatively quiet nearby tables, and a bar almost completely to ourselves. I tried three cocktails, with the standout being the Smoke & Mirrors, before getting four food items: the KC Strip (with the au poivre sauce), the broccoli, the fries, and the olive oil cake. Nothing about those dishes should really stand out on paper. "Oh, you took the leap and got an order of French fries, did ya?" Fair. But as a person who probably spends more--much more--than the average person on steakhouses each year, I can assure you that these four dishes might just become my go-to meal when I come back to eat here again. The steak was perfect. We did the strip rare, and while it came out just a tad warmer than that (let's go with "rare medium-rare"), the char on the outside of that beauty was perfect, with the slices having just the right amount of color. The flavor was excellent, and that was true even before we used the au poivre to add a little sumthin'-sumthin'. The aioli with the fries? Magic. The aioli was so good I asked the bartender what made it so special. "It's just an aioli," was his reply. "I could drown in that stuff, though." The broccoli was perfect. I'm not an olive oil cake guy, but I might be now. And the slight curve of that bar is strangely appealing; you can see everyone at the bar, but only at an angle. The bar seating is strong and despite spending three hours at the bar for our dinner, I could have stayed for another hour or more. Fioretta's location isn't the best--it's close to everything, but next to nothing--but I will add this to my rotation of places to post up before going to other parts of the West Loop. FANTASTIC experience at Fioretta. Service was incredible!!! Loved that they give you bread here. Pasta dishes were small, but amazing. Best gnocchi I've ever had! We also got brought out a complimentary tiramisu to celebrate!!!! Ambiance here is perfect, would be an amazing date night spot. read more
