One of my go to places for a steak! The servers are friendly, and the host always manages to fit me in at the last minute for the lounge area. When the weather warms up, they open the outdoor area, and it's especially nice with a breeze.

Dinner absolutely lived up to the hype, and then some. I took my Chicago team out after hearing great things about this new spot, and it delivered a completely different take on the traditional steakhouse experience. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn't your typical old-school steakhouse. The space is stunning, beautiful arched ceilings, trees incorporated into the design, and a bar that feels more like a high-end lounge. The vibe leans modern and upscale with a subtle club energy, complete with music that adds just the right amount of edge without overpowering the experience. The menu is creative and fun, and the wine list is just as impressive. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and helped guide us to some outstanding Napa reds that paired perfectly with everything we ordered. We started with the cheddar scallion biscuits (a must), fresh oysters, and a standout scallop dish presented escargot-style, unique and absolutely delicious. For the main event, we split two steaks: the Stone Axe wagyu and the Senku steak. Both were excellent, cooked perfectly, and packed with flavor. On the side, the whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts were the kind of dishes you don't stop thinking about after the meal. Of course, we couldn't skip dessert, so we didn't. The coconut cake and chocolate raspberry cake were both fantastic and the perfect way to wrap up the night. The service was polished, attentive, and exactly what you expect at this level, professional without feeling stiff. All in all, this is a place that gets it right across the board: atmosphere, food, wine, and service. I'll absolutely be back, next time specifically to try the WTF (wagyu, truffle, foie). I mean... how do you not?

When West Loop finally gets a true glitz-and-glam steakhouse, Adalina Prime steps in with serious ambition. This concept comes from the same team behind Adalina, which has long been a dependable upscale Italian spot on the Gold Coast. If you've been there before, you'll recognize the DNA immediately: luxurious but not stuffy, polished service, and a dining experience meant for celebrations. What's different here is the scale. Adalina Prime feels bigger, louder, and more theatrical. West Loop--particularly the Randolph corridor--has plenty of excellent restaurants, but it hasn't historically been known for grand, opulent steakhouses. Most of the classic steakhouse scene lives in River North or the Gold Coast. Adalina Prime changes that dynamic. You pull up and immediately see valet activity, step into a massive dining room with soaring ceilings and dramatic décor, and realize this place is designed to feel like an event. From hosts to bussers to managers checking in, the service infrastructure is clearly built for that experience. It's the kind of restaurant you choose for a celebration, a big night out, or when you want a little extra polish in your evening. Service * Extremely polished and attentive staff throughout the evening * Multiple layers of service--from hosts to bussers to managers checking in * Professional pacing and thoughtful menu explanations * Hospitality feels intentional and well coordinated Drinks The cocktail program is genuinely strong. * Golden Hour - one of the better tropical-style cocktails I've had in Chicago; lighter than a piña colada with a bright citrus twist * Espresso Martini - classic and balanced * NA Spritz - surprisingly well executed for a non-alcoholic option Bread & Small Bites The menu structure has a unique twist. Instead of a complimentary amuse-bouche, they offer "Amuse Yourself," where you choose a luxury bite-sized starter. * WTF Wagyu (wagyu, foie gras, truffle) - delicious, but at $14 for a tiny bite it's hard to justify purely on value * Cheddar Scallion Biscuits - excellent; served with a rich herbaceous butter and presented with a playful cow-shaped motif There's also a fun off-menu item: the Soo-Per Size Me chicken nuggets (normally paired with their caviar service but available separately). At $15 they're pricey, but genuinely excellent--crispy, juicy, and refined enough to feel intentional rather than gimmicky. Starter * Baked Scallop-Cargot - their spin on escargot, swapping snails for delicate scallops in garlic butter. Rich, flavorful, and one of the stronger dishes of the night. Mains This is where the experience became more mixed. * Burger - good, but not memorable * Lobster Cheesy Corn - a solid, indulgent side And then the steak. Adalina Prime offers an extensive steak program--American cuts, Australian wagyu, Japanese wagyu, dry-aged beef, tomahawks, and more. I ordered the Crown Cut ribeye, essentially the most marbled center section of the ribeye. As someone who considers themselves a bit of a steak--and especially ribeye--aficionado, this is the type of cut I get excited about. Unfortunately, it didn't quite deliver. The exterior leaned heavily charred rather than beautifully caramelized, and the interior lacked the buttery marbling and melt-in-your-mouth richness you expect from a great ribeye. One thing that stands out here is the sheer amount of ways they offer to dress up the steak: sauces, toppings, and even a full salt bar. Those are fun options, but when a steak is truly exceptional, it shouldn't need any of that. The steak itself should be the star--and on this visit, it simply wasn't at the level the restaurant is aiming for. Dessert * Strawberry Cake (to-go) - essentially a strawberry shortcake/birthday cake hybrid with excellent buttercream. A strong finish. Verdict Adalina Prime gets many things right: the room is stunning, the service is impeccable, the cocktails are excellent, and it brings a level of steakhouse glamour to West Loop that the neighborhood hasn't really had before. But when a restaurant positions itself as a high-end steakhouse, the steak ultimately has to be the highlight. On this visit, that piece didn't quite land. Because of that, what could have been a five-star experience lands closer to 3.5 stars. I'm rounding up to four because everything else--from hospitality to drinks to atmosphere--was very good. If they refine the steak execution, Adalina Prime could easily become one of the neighborhood's standout destinations.

I'm so sad that this didn't meet our expectations. First of all, the interior is breathtaking. I loved it and it's very open. I did expect that maybe the table clothes be steamed. The service was ok. The busboy boxed food before we were done but it's fine. The main dishes were good. The eggplant parm was crispy and the marinara tasted fresh. The steak was decent and I liked the array of salts they present. The sides were such a disappointment, and really the reason for 3 instead of 4 stars. The Cesar made me feel a little sick and I wasn't a fan of the croutons. The Mac n cheese is horrible. The pasta used is a gnocchi type and it's so difficult to chew and honestly a choking hazard. The corn had basic mozzerella on top and the corn tasted canned. The lobster inside was decent.

My husband surprised me with a beautiful birthday dinner at Adalina Prime on a Saturday night, and it set the bar for a celebratory evening! The décor and ambiance are show-stopping. Very polished and swanky in a way that fits the West Loop energy while still managing to stand apart. It feels elevated, intentional and perfect for marking a special moment. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were, quite honestly, the most delicious I've ever had. The flavors were dynamic and layered. For mains, we ordered the ribeye, Chilean sea bass and cacio e pepe spinach and I appreciated that each dish was executed with care and has a richness that made the meal feel indulgent without being overwhelming. To top it off, the team kindly surprised me with strawberry coconut ice cream for my birthday. It was exceptional and easily one of the best desserts I've had. Make no mistake, this is a pricey experience. That said, it's perfectly suited for a special occasion or your polished business dinner where atmosphere, service and execution matter.

3 stars for the service and atmosphere of the restaurant. One star for the quality of the food. Sadly, our party of 7 were so excited to try this restaurant giving it's new and a sister restaurant of adalina. However, th food was way overpriced, average in quality, and gave me food poisoning. Shortly after I finished our appetizers and some of the seafood tower, I had to go to the bathroom and had diarrhea. Since we all shared the same appetizers, the only thing I could think of the cause this was the oysters or lobster tail that I had which is individually served. The beef tartare was way too salty and the whole table did not appreciate. The cheese cracker that came with was not tasty. My sea bass was nothing special and I was not impressed. On the brighter note, the services was great our waiter was quick to assist and attentive.

Make a reservation when coming here. The temperature can be 10 degrees and this is full!! The restaurant is on the ground floor of the Boston Consulting Group Building, but when you walk in, you feel like you're in a palace! Ceilings are high and beautiful, decor is modern, and there are plenty of seats. Our server, Stephen, was helpful and made some great recommendations. We started with the Heirloom Tomato salad and Hamachi Crudo. Flavors were beautiful, and the presentation was gorgeous!! We ordered the Bone In Ribeye and split it between two. When it's served, you can select from their salts to pair with your steak. The staff serves you the food on your plate, which is wonderful to have done at a steakhouse. Dessert was also delicious, both our selections were great, but the Apple Crumble Pie with the cube of ice cream was the favorite. The caliber here with the quality of food and service sets the bar high and matches the Chicago Steakhouse reputation! It has steakhouse pricing, but the quality of food and service both match the value. Highly enjoyable and I am looking forward to my next visit.

I stopped in for the Power Lunch at Adalina Prime and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. I went with the Caesar salad, the Prime Burger, and the chocolate chip cookies, and every single bite was delicious. You can tell they're putting real care into the menu. The hostess was incredibly warm and seated us in the atrium. Even though it was freezing outside, the space stayed perfectly cozy. I can already tell this spot is going to be stunning in the summertime with those wraparound windows letting all the light in. The vibe is sexy, sultry, and thoughtfully designed. If Adalina Italian is known for its pink theme, Adalina Prime's rich green palette gives it a regal, elevated feel that really sets the tone. I'll absolutely be back for dinner, drinks, and whatever else I feel like indulging in. This was a fantastic dining experience, and I'm excited to see this place shine even more as the seasons change.

A steakhouse should make great steak- but adalina didn't deliver. Don't get me wrong- the setting was beautiful, the servers top-notch. Every dish BUT the steak was five stars. The Martini service for $22 was amazing- gave me a chilled glass mid drink so my martini stayed ice cold! Cheddar scallion biscuits, chicken nugget with caviar and wedge salad were amazing and could have been my complete dinner. The bone in rib eye was cold, tasteless and had no sizzle; couldn't even smell it! Come for the vibes not for the steak. Maybe get the burger?

Went with a big group to celebrate birthday dinner. The restaurant is a Lit vibe. Amazing crowd and good service. Food was fantastic and portions were gigantic. If you are in Chicago city then must go. The breads were amazing, tomato bisque nice, sea bass melted in the mouth. Eggplant parm was so huge three people can share.

Tiger Bread, Wagyu Tartare and Shrimp Cocktail- excellent!

Came here for some light bites last week, and I will definitely be back! The ambiance in here is the show stopper.... industrial-feeling but new building, the ceiling height is magnificent. Your eyes immediately start gazing at the beauty of the place as soon as you walk in. So much to look at and admire, including the sparkling West Loop at night. We split a bottle of wine so didn't get to try any of the cocktails, but loved that we were offered a couple to taste before we chose a bottle. For bites we had the Tiger Bread, Waygu Tartare, and the Shrimp Cocktail. All were excellent! I will say the tiger bread was a bit tough, but the chili butter it came with was excellent. Overall I need to come back to try more things, but so far my expectations were met!

This is a relatively new restaurant and you can tell they are still finding their bearings and paying attention to feedback. The waygu filet was just ok. I rather have had a ribeye, but they did not have. The best thing was the Brussels sprouts. They are delicious and stayed crispy. The mashed potato's were really good as well. The wedge salad was supposed to a dressing on it, but you could barely taste it. I would skip the wedge and try the Caesar instead. It looked delicious. The east coast oysters were pretty good and the toppings were good. The chicken nugget caviar you may want to skip. It's $22 for one nugget and not really worth it. I'd also skip the onion petals. They weren't bad, but not worth the price. The drinks were decent. If you like fat infused drinks then the marrow and ember is a good choice. I would not get the full bread tower. Maybe just get the cheddar biscuits. They were tasty and hard to mess up. The others are decent? But like many things on the menu, it's just elevated basic restaurant food. Our server was attentive and thoughtful. He walked us through the menu and made suggestions. He checked in with us often and took care of us. The space is absolutely amazing. Such rich texture and beautiful colors. You can do some cool people watching because there are so many different people who come in looking absolutely gorgeous. The did provide me with ice cream for my birthday. We did not order dessert. Just be mind that this is a new restaurant and they are still working on some of the kinks, but I would be open to try them again.

Adalina Prime has been on my radar ever since it opened. My boyfriend and I finally had the chance to visit during Valentine's Day weekend. Based off of first impressions, this is easily one of the most gorgeous restaurants in Chicago. The ambiance is so luxe and it is perfect for a special occasions or a date night. We first ordered drinks. My boyfriend and I were in the mood for mocktails so we ordered the only two that were on the cocktail menu. We would've liked see more options, but the two that we had were very tasty. I ordered the Almond Citrus Fizz which was definitely more almond-forward than citrus-forward but still very good. My boyfriend ordered the N/A Spritz which was light and fruity. Then we got to the food. Every bite I had was delicious and impressive. We started with a single chicken nugget with kaluga caviar and crème fraîche. The chicken nugget was very tasty and resembled a fancy McDonald's chicken nugget. It was $22 though which is kind of steep for one bite. But if you can afford it, it is a very fun bite nonetheless. Then we had the Cheddar Scallion Biscuits, which were like leveled-up Red Lobster biscuits (in a good way). It was paired with a spicy butter that complemented the cheddar flavor nicely. We also had the Wagyu Corn Dog, which came with a really yummy honey mustard. The corn dogs were tasty and made fresh, but didn't taste like anything super unique. They just tasted like really good corn dogs. That being said, if I had to pass on one item on my next visit, I'd say skip these. (But I still enjoyed them.) We order an off-menu crab cake which was also quite tasty. Then we got to our main course. My boyfriend and I shared the 45-Day Dry-Aged Bone-In Ribeye. With all the starters we ordered plus side of Brussels Sprouts, this was definitely enough food for two hungry people. I pride myself on being a bit of a steak aficionado and while this was not the best steak I've had in Chicago, it was a very solid steak. It was cooked to Medium Rare perfection and had a nice crusty char around the edges. The Brussels Sprouts were also quite nice and had a nice sweet kick. They were crispy and flavorful and everything I would want in a side dish. Lastly, there's dessert. We shared the Chocolate Raspberry Cake which was very good but not phenomenal. Truthfully I was not super impressed by the dessert menu. Seeing that Adalina Prime's sister restaurant is an Italian restaurant, I would've liked to see this reflected in the dessert menu with a tiramisu or something. The cherry on top of my visit was the service. Our waiter was so helpful and attentive. My water glass was always filled and our table was very efficiently cleared between each course. We were also offered complimentary champagne and Strawberry and Coconut twist soft serve ice cream (which BTW is also very tasty). Overall, I am very impressed with Adalina Prime and will be yapping about this to all my friends. I will be back for sure.

For whatever reason, we've been stuck in our North Side routine -- and, hey, there are a lot of nice places around Lakeview, so not a bad routine -- but we got out to one of the classics downtown to shake things up. And, holy cow, we're glad we did. Every moment in Gibsons, from the host to the service to the food, was a joy. Our server, Avery, was excellent. He knew the menu. He made us feel comfortable and, above all else, welcome. He was funny. He saw we were getting tipsy and rolled with it. MY WIFE and I took our time a little bit, enjoyed the wine, perused the menu. We each picked the perfect entrees. MY WIFE is pretty small and short but she loved the skirt steak so much she ate the whole thing. I've never seen her do that before. And we still had a ton to take home. Just a great night for us. Thanks to everyone at Gibsons who helped make it so. We're definitely coming back, and we're not waiting five years to do so. The patio they have there is calling my name.

She absolutely fell in love with the place and said she was having a great birthday. She wasn't planting seeds, I swear, but our server, ever the professional, said he'd take care of us. And he did, punctuating our dinner with a wonderful dessert with a birthday candle. Speaking of candles, the focaccia appetizer came out with a lit candle that melts a tasty, buttery dipping sauce. I had work done at the dentist earlier, so I had a hard time eating. Every bite was painful, but I heated up our leftovers and fell in love with my rigatoni with vodka sauce all over again. Yum. The only drawback is the prices. We're not rich, but we love a great experience. We understand that an experience like that comes with a price, so we'll be back as much as we can.

Especially not a good dinner option despite being excited for it for our Valentine's Day dinner. Food- really liked Caesar salad and Mac n cheese. However, this is a steak house. We ordered ribeye in medium and NY strip in medium rare. However, ribeye was medium rare and ny strip was cooked medium well. I considered telling our waiter but he never appeared at our table to ask about how our food was. He showed up half an hour later to ask if we wanted dessert. I didn't eat my ny strip because it was so dry and my husband had a few bites. Service- as mentioned above, the server barely showed up. Also our food arrived later than everyone next to us. The couple next to us got sat down after we put in our entree order and get they received their entree before we did. No apologies or context given on the delay. Also, I know they offer half orders for certain dishes like salad for takeouts and deliveries and saw older TikTok videos that mentioned getting half portions too. We asked if they do half portions so we can try more items in the menu, we simply got a "NO" without any kindness or explanation given. It was said as if we were asking them something stupid. Ambiance- I think the bar area is nice looking, but we were sat in the basement. It was crammed, the tables were small, and because it was a small room, you can really hear other tables conversations. For casual restaurants I don't mind that type of ambiance but if we are dropping more than $300 for 2 of us, I am going to compare it to comparable places in that price range: Bavettes, Gibsons, maple and ash, swift and sons, Alston, etc. this is significantly lacking compared to all of those "nice steakhouses". Theres not even a coat check. Also our leftover was packed in a cheap black plastic bag. Once again, not matching with the price point. We are locals and were very excited to try this place not far from us, but sadly, it was a truly disappointing experience and if anyone asked me if I'd recommend this place, I would say look elsewhere.

The food started with a complementary potato soup which was flavorful and lovely. We got a round of drinks and one of our party didn't care for her drink and it was replaced no question. We had the flat iron steak, the chicken, and the salmon and each entree was wonderful. The proteins were all very tender and juicy. I was also very pleased with the salad that came first which was lightly dressed and very seasonal. We finished our dining experience with a slice of cheesecake. It was a nice cap to the end of a wonderful meal. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion - I would love to come back and try some of the other items on their menu.

We had the ribeye and the Rotini Bianco, and both were excellent. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The Rotini Bianco was rich, creamy, and done just right. Every dish felt intentional and well executed. Don't hesitate to book. If you're trying to impress or celebrate something special, this is the move.

For starters, we ordered the kimchi pork dumplings and grilled octopus, which both tasted great, but the kimchi flavoring did overpower everything. Our main course included the marinated short rib, wag rib eye, and a5 5 brisket which were all cooked to perfection by our server. However, my experience at Perilla Steakhouse was hands down frustrating. Upon arrival, things were off to a rough start when I could barely hear the server over the music. At times, I felt like our server was rushing us through our meal based on how much less attention he gave us versus the other tables. I'm not someone who needs my glass refilled every minute either to be clear, but things did feel off with how slow our meal was paced out and the general disinterest the server had in us. For reference, we arrived early to a nearly empty restaurant that hadn't started peak dining time yet. I recognize the steakhouse is an upscale, chic take on traditional Korean dishes and I admire the chef for sharing his culture with the city. I also understand restaurants are going to be more expensive, the closer you are located in relation to downtown. Even so, in comparison to other nearby high-end restaurants, the price to portion ratio for our meal felt off. For example, our $16 dumplings included 3 dumplings on a plate. Yes, there's an argument for inflation and the cost of quality ingredients, but I argue that at this price point we shouldn't have left hungry either.

It was excellent * Their fried calamari with two dipping sauces which was also very good and filling. * A light pale pilsner that (again) was very good paired excellently with my order. I guess what I'm trying to say is - this place earned such a stellar reputation that being in this sea of happy diners is well deserved. The staff was accommodating, the ambience was wild and wooly and the people were enjoying themselves, to no end, me included.

For starters, we had a reservation which I would recommend. We were seated right away and while the place is large inside, I'm not sure what walk-in availability is like. The food: we really enjoyed the octopus, escargot, I had the Filet Mignon Au Poivre, and the banana/coconut entremet. The octopus was tender and flavorful; octopus cooked right (especially in smaller pieces) is hard to find so I was impressed. The escargot was nice and buttery/garlicky, and piping hot. I LOVED my Filet with the green peppercorn cream sauce! It was delicious and my husband was surprised I ate so much of it. It was cooked exactly as I asked, the meat had good flavor, and the sauce was delicious and well balanced + the right consistency. Lastly, the banana and coconut dessert was a pleasant surprise. The banana flavor was fresh (not artificial) and had the right balance of coconut. It was creamy, not too sweet, and had the right balance of textures with the outer coating and the crumble underneath - if you like banana or coconut at all I'd say it's a must order! The creme brulee was just okay. My issue was the service - the table next to ours LIT ON FIRE because a menu was over the top of a candle. After burning half the menu and the fire was getting larger, our partners ran over and put it out with their napkins. They yelled and there was NO ACKNOWLEDGEMENT from the staff at all - at least 2 staff saw and one waiters eyes got big for a minute and she turned away. Not even a thank you from anyone to our partners for putting it out, and they had to ask for new napkins because theirs had black char on them. We were in the middle of enjoying our appetizers and my friend was just digging into her French onion soup from our first round and the staff kept trying to take our plates away. My friend had to tell them 3 times to please leave the soup at the table, and overall made us feel very rushed. We weren't taking a long time to eat at all so felt very weird? When the entrees were dropped on the table, my friend got a steak and they kept trying to give her a butter knife. It took multiple attempts to get the correct knife. Then once we were done eating it took a while to get our plates and old glasses cleared away. Overall service timing was off and their aggressiveness in the beginning of trying to take our plates away + the lack of response to A FIRE in the restaurant was pretty alarming. While I enjoyed the food there, the service was pretty bad and I feel unsafe with the lack of response to a fire in the restaurant so I don't think we'll return.
