ROASTED CHICKEN with cheesy elote and Bone-In Ribeye in the background

Adalina Prime is what I'd expect from a steakhouse in the West Loop. You can tell they invested a lot in their decor. The inside has a lot of dark oak and they have ample seating. They have cloth that drapes from the ceiling in certain parts of the restaurant. It's reminiscent of Sophia Steak Chicago in the River North area. My group originally visited to check out the happy hour so we grabbed a reservation. We discovered the happy hour specials are limited to the bar and lounge area, not out of the norm. I was able to take advantage of the happy hour specials as my group waited for our remaining person to arrive. Note, they sit you once everyone arrives. I ordered the hibiscus spritz and a bourbon peach smash. The hibiscus spritz wasn't memorable but the bourbon smash was delicious. The peach and lemon flavors masked the bourbon taste without making it too sweet. I could see myself making this drink at home or coming back if I find myself in the area. My group was far back along the wall so it felt cozier because we didn't have a ton of tables surrounding us. Our waitress was extremely friendly and you can tell she knew the ins and outs of the menu along with the restaurant in general. Sometimes she got carried away wanting to tell us the history of something when we just wanted confirmation on if we could get a certain dish that wasn't on the menu. I wasn't feeling like a steak so I opted for the roasted chicken with a side of cheesy elote. Just a note, there's two items on the menu that are notated as taking 30 / 40 mins to cook so if you're interested in those dishes I would order earlier into your sitting down so you don't wait longer than planned. All of the dishes were beautifully plated except my chicken. When I tell you they invest in plating it's to the point they carve the butter into the face of a cow. I guess there's only so much you can do with a few pieces of chicken and mushrooms. For the price ($39) of my dish I was expecting there to be a little more chicken. It was four little pieces of chicken. I was surprised by the lack of effort they put into my dish. The mushrooms were flavorful and savory but my chicken was extremely bland. The chicken was juicy but it tasted like nothing. I've had many roasted chickens at steakhouses and they will make sure non-steak items are equally delicious. Overall, I was left underwhelmed. Everything is priced on the higher end, side of truffle fries are $30, so I expected better quality food. I cannot see myself coming back unless I'm in the area and want to grab a drink during happy hour.

I enjoyed a lovely dinner here this week with my daughter. We were celebrating the purchase of her first home, so we wanted something special. Adalina Prime was her choice, and it fit the bill perfectly. We began with cocktails (Golden Hour was amazing!), and our server brought champagne to help us celebrate. We decided to share a wedge salad (would've been huge for one person) and a filet. Then for our sides, we chose the Brussel sprouts and mashed potatoes. Everything was delicious! This restaurant is beautifully decorated, with an old-school steakhouse vibe. Service was excellent. Will definitely visit again!!

Dinner absolutely lived up to the hype, and then some. I took my Chicago team out after hearing great things about this new spot, and it delivered a completely different take on the traditional steakhouse experience. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this isn't your typical old-school steakhouse. The space is stunning, beautiful arched ceilings, trees incorporated into the design, and a bar that feels more like a high-end lounge. The vibe leans modern and upscale with a subtle club energy, complete with music that adds just the right amount of edge without overpowering the experience. The menu is creative and fun, and the wine list is just as impressive. The sommelier was incredibly knowledgeable and helped guide us to some outstanding Napa reds that paired perfectly with everything we ordered. We started with the cheddar scallion biscuits (a must), fresh oysters, and a standout scallop dish presented escargot-style, unique and absolutely delicious. For the main event, we split two steaks: the Stone Axe wagyu and the Senku steak. Both were excellent, cooked perfectly, and packed with flavor. On the side, the whipped potatoes and Brussels sprouts were the kind of dishes you don't stop thinking about after the meal. Of course, we couldn't skip dessert, so we didn't. The coconut cake and chocolate raspberry cake were both fantastic and the perfect way to wrap up the night. The service was polished, attentive, and exactly what you expect at this level, professional without feeling stiff. All in all, this is a place that gets it right across the board: atmosphere, food, wine, and service. I'll absolutely be back, next time specifically to try the WTF (wagyu, truffle, foie). I mean... how do you not?

When West Loop finally gets a true glitz-and-glam steakhouse, Adalina Prime steps in with serious ambition. This concept comes from the same team behind Adalina, which has long been a dependable upscale Italian spot on the Gold Coast. If you've been there before, you'll recognize the DNA immediately: luxurious but not stuffy, polished service, and a dining experience meant for celebrations. What's different here is the scale. Adalina Prime feels bigger, louder, and more theatrical. West Loop--particularly the Randolph corridor--has plenty of excellent restaurants, but it hasn't historically been known for grand, opulent steakhouses. Most of the classic steakhouse scene lives in River North or the Gold Coast. Adalina Prime changes that dynamic. You pull up and immediately see valet activity, step into a massive dining room with soaring ceilings and dramatic décor, and realize this place is designed to feel like an event. From hosts to bussers to managers checking in, the service infrastructure is clearly built for that experience. It's the kind of restaurant you choose for a celebration, a big night out, or when you want a little extra polish in your evening. Service * Extremely polished and attentive staff throughout the evening * Multiple layers of service--from hosts to bussers to managers checking in * Professional pacing and thoughtful menu explanations * Hospitality feels intentional and well coordinated Drinks The cocktail program is genuinely strong. * Golden Hour - one of the better tropical-style cocktails I've had in Chicago; lighter than a piña colada with a bright citrus twist * Espresso Martini - classic and balanced * NA Spritz - surprisingly well executed for a non-alcoholic option Bread & Small Bites The menu structure has a unique twist. Instead of a complimentary amuse-bouche, they offer "Amuse Yourself," where you choose a luxury bite-sized starter. * WTF Wagyu (wagyu, foie gras, truffle) - delicious, but at $14 for a tiny bite it's hard to justify purely on value * Cheddar Scallion Biscuits - excellent; served with a rich herbaceous butter and presented with a playful cow-shaped motif There's also a fun off-menu item: the Soo-Per Size Me chicken nuggets (normally paired with their caviar service but available separately). At $15 they're pricey, but genuinely excellent--crispy, juicy, and refined enough to feel intentional rather than gimmicky. Starter * Baked Scallop-Cargot - their spin on escargot, swapping snails for delicate scallops in garlic butter. Rich, flavorful, and one of the stronger dishes of the night. Mains This is where the experience became more mixed. * Burger - good, but not memorable * Lobster Cheesy Corn - a solid, indulgent side And then the steak. Adalina Prime offers an extensive steak program--American cuts, Australian wagyu, Japanese wagyu, dry-aged beef, tomahawks, and more. I ordered the Crown Cut ribeye, essentially the most marbled center section of the ribeye. As someone who considers themselves a bit of a steak--and especially ribeye--aficionado, this is the type of cut I get excited about. Unfortunately, it didn't quite deliver. The exterior leaned heavily charred rather than beautifully caramelized, and the interior lacked the buttery marbling and melt-in-your-mouth richness you expect from a great ribeye. One thing that stands out here is the sheer amount of ways they offer to dress up the steak: sauces, toppings, and even a full salt bar. Those are fun options, but when a steak is truly exceptional, it shouldn't need any of that. The steak itself should be the star--and on this visit, it simply wasn't at the level the restaurant is aiming for. Dessert * Strawberry Cake (to-go) - essentially a strawberry shortcake/birthday cake hybrid with excellent buttercream. A strong finish. Verdict Adalina Prime gets many things right: the room is stunning, the service is impeccable, the cocktails are excellent, and it brings a level of steakhouse glamour to West Loop that the neighborhood hasn't really had before. But when a restaurant positions itself as a high-end steakhouse, the steak ultimately has to be the highlight. On this visit, that piece didn't quite land. Because of that, what could have been a five-star experience lands closer to 3.5 stars. I'm rounding up to four because everything else--from hospitality to drinks to atmosphere--was very good. If they refine the steak execution, Adalina Prime could easily become one of the neighborhood's standout destinations.

I'm so sad that this didn't meet our expectations. First of all, the interior is breathtaking. I loved it and it's very open. I did expect that maybe the table clothes be steamed. The service was ok. The busboy boxed food before we were done but it's fine. The main dishes were good. The eggplant parm was crispy and the marinara tasted fresh. The steak was decent and I liked the array of salts they present. The sides were such a disappointment, and really the reason for 3 instead of 4 stars. The Cesar made me feel a little sick and I wasn't a fan of the croutons. The Mac n cheese is horrible. The pasta used is a gnocchi type and it's so difficult to chew and honestly a choking hazard. The corn had basic mozzerella on top and the corn tasted canned. The lobster inside was decent.

My husband surprised me with a beautiful birthday dinner at Adalina Prime on a Saturday night, and it set the bar for a celebratory evening! The décor and ambiance are show-stopping. Very polished and swanky in a way that fits the West Loop energy while still managing to stand apart. It feels elevated, intentional and perfect for marking a special moment. We started with the Brussels sprouts, which were, quite honestly, the most delicious I've ever had. The flavors were dynamic and layered. For mains, we ordered the ribeye, Chilean sea bass and cacio e pepe spinach and I appreciated that each dish was executed with care and has a richness that made the meal feel indulgent without being overwhelming. To top it off, the team kindly surprised me with strawberry coconut ice cream for my birthday. It was exceptional and easily one of the best desserts I've had. Make no mistake, this is a pricey experience. That said, it's perfectly suited for a special occasion or your polished business dinner where atmosphere, service and execution matter.

One of my go to places for a steak! The servers are friendly, and the host always manages to fit me in at the last minute for the lounge area. When the weather warms up, they open the outdoor area, and it's especially nice with a breeze.

3 stars for the service and atmosphere of the restaurant. One star for the quality of the food. Sadly, our party of 7 were so excited to try this restaurant giving it's new and a sister restaurant of adalina. However, th food was way overpriced, average in quality, and gave me food poisoning. Shortly after I finished our appetizers and some of the seafood tower, I had to go to the bathroom and had diarrhea. Since we all shared the same appetizers, the only thing I could think of the cause this was the oysters or lobster tail that I had which is individually served. The beef tartare was way too salty and the whole table did not appreciate. The cheese cracker that came with was not tasty. My sea bass was nothing special and I was not impressed. On the brighter note, the services was great our waiter was quick to assist and attentive.

Make a reservation when coming here. The temperature can be 10 degrees and this is full!! The restaurant is on the ground floor of the Boston Consulting Group Building, but when you walk in, you feel like you're in a palace! Ceilings are high and beautiful, decor is modern, and there are plenty of seats. Our server, Stephen, was helpful and made some great recommendations. We started with the Heirloom Tomato salad and Hamachi Crudo. Flavors were beautiful, and the presentation was gorgeous!! We ordered the Bone In Ribeye and split it between two. When it's served, you can select from their salts to pair with your steak. The staff serves you the food on your plate, which is wonderful to have done at a steakhouse. Dessert was also delicious, both our selections were great, but the Apple Crumble Pie with the cube of ice cream was the favorite. The caliber here with the quality of food and service sets the bar high and matches the Chicago Steakhouse reputation! It has steakhouse pricing, but the quality of food and service both match the value. Highly enjoyable and I am looking forward to my next visit.

I stopped in for the Power Lunch at Adalina Prime and was genuinely impressed from start to finish. I went with the Caesar salad, the Prime Burger, and the chocolate chip cookies, and every single bite was delicious. You can tell they're putting real care into the menu. The hostess was incredibly warm and seated us in the atrium. Even though it was freezing outside, the space stayed perfectly cozy. I can already tell this spot is going to be stunning in the summertime with those wraparound windows letting all the light in. The vibe is sexy, sultry, and thoughtfully designed. If Adalina Italian is known for its pink theme, Adalina Prime's rich green palette gives it a regal, elevated feel that really sets the tone. I'll absolutely be back for dinner, drinks, and whatever else I feel like indulging in. This was a fantastic dining experience, and I'm excited to see this place shine even more as the seasons change.

A steakhouse should make great steak- but adalina didn't deliver. Don't get me wrong- the setting was beautiful, the servers top-notch. Every dish BUT the steak was five stars. The Martini service for $22 was amazing- gave me a chilled glass mid drink so my martini stayed ice cold! Cheddar scallion biscuits, chicken nugget with caviar and wedge salad were amazing and could have been my complete dinner. The bone in rib eye was cold, tasteless and had no sizzle; couldn't even smell it! Come for the vibes not for the steak. Maybe get the burger?

Went with a big group to celebrate birthday dinner. The restaurant is a Lit vibe. Amazing crowd and good service. Food was fantastic and portions were gigantic. If you are in Chicago city then must go. The breads were amazing, tomato bisque nice, sea bass melted in the mouth. Eggplant parm was so huge three people can share.

Tiger Bread, Wagyu Tartare and Shrimp Cocktail- excellent!

Came here for some light bites last week, and I will definitely be back! The ambiance in here is the show stopper.... industrial-feeling but new building, the ceiling height is magnificent. Your eyes immediately start gazing at the beauty of the place as soon as you walk in. So much to look at and admire, including the sparkling West Loop at night. We split a bottle of wine so didn't get to try any of the cocktails, but loved that we were offered a couple to taste before we chose a bottle. For bites we had the Tiger Bread, Waygu Tartare, and the Shrimp Cocktail. All were excellent! I will say the tiger bread was a bit tough, but the chili butter it came with was excellent. Overall I need to come back to try more things, but so far my expectations were met!

Long Review: Met a friend for dinner while in Chicago and he said Gibson's was a must. We went on a Thursday night and the place was absolutely packed. Very vibrant and really friendly people all around. Piano bar vibes with the live playing at your request. Bartenders are attentive and try to get to everyone quickly. Just to give you a sense of how friendly this place is, I accidentally knocked over my glass of wine while reaching for the bill. Caught it though...phew. But not before I spilled it all over the back of the woman sitting next to me, the man to the right of me, and of course all over myself! Within two seconds, a waitress came over with napkins to help clean up the mess, the guy sitting next to me got on the floor and wiped it all up, and the woman whom I spilled the drink all over was like "Don't even worry about! At least you caught the wine glass!" Wow! I was stunned at how cool everyone was, and it set the tone for the evening. We finally got our table and split the Gipson's ribeye, lobster, sweet potato and brussel sprouts. Seriously one of the best steakhouse meals I've ever had. The negative: for a restaurant where you going to spend over $100 a person, we had to ask twice for water refills, in fact one time we asked the manager and he had to track down our servers. The seating is just ok, it's pretty loud as your on top of each other really. The steak was above average but not great. They seems to char the outside see pictures and it was fairly bland, got the filet. Salad was drowned with dressing and had virtually nothing other than 2 average cheap grape tomatoes. She absolutely fell in love with the place and said she was having a great birthday. She wasn't planting seeds, I swear, but our server, ever the professional, said he'd take care of us. And he did, punctuating our dinner with a wonderful dessert with a birthday candle. Speaking of candles, the focaccia appetizer came out with a lit candle that melts a tasty, buttery dipping sauce. I had work done at the dentist earlier, so I had a hard time eating. Every bite was painful, but I heated up our leftovers and fell in love with my rigatoni with vodka sauce all over again. Yum. The only drawback is the prices. We're not rich, but we love a great experience. We understand that an experience like that comes with a price, so we'll be back as much as we can.

The good: Salad was amazing with bits of nicely cooked pork belly mixed in and the salad dressing is to die for Focaccia bread was very good but nothing special but the bone tarrow butter was fantastic and carried this bread. Brussel sprouts were flavorful but greasy and overcooked... Beef cheek ragu noodle dish was heavy yet tasty.. Rib eye steak done medium rare was fatty and very very chewy so this was a complete fail, but seasoned very well...extra 10 bucks for some dipping sauce for the steak but worth getting to elevate the steak...Definitely don't do any steak under medium here... Lemon sorbet was the true winner of the night...Delicious without being too tart..... Overall like I said, not worth the $250 price tag before tip...._

I was visiting from out of town and was not familiar with the parking around the area. I asked one of the staff members and immediately they reassured me that the side street would raking was totally fine to park just so long as it wasn't the front of the building where you have to pay. The food started with a complementary potato soup which was flavorful and lovely. We got a round of drinks and one of our party didn't care for her drink and it was replaced no question. We had the flat iron steak, the chicken, and the salmon and each entree was wonderful. The proteins were all very tender and juicy. I was also very pleased with the salad that came first which was lightly dressed and very seasonal. We finished our dining experience with a slice of cheesecake. It was a nice cap to the end of a wonderful meal. I would recommend this restaurant for any occasion - I would love to come back and try some of the other items on their menu.

The ambiance is intimate, romantic, and just feels exclusive without trying too hard. I took my girl there for her birthday and she absolutely loved it -- which is always the real test. We had the ribeye and the Rotini Bianco, and both were excellent. The ribeye was cooked perfectly, tender and flavorful. The Rotini Bianco was rich, creamy, and done just right. Every dish felt intentional and well executed. Don't hesitate to book. If you're trying to impress or celebrate something special, this is the move.

Perilla is a tastefully decorated restaurant, both loungey and rich, but still makes you feel like the joint is all for you. You know, 5 star service is such a lost art, it makes you forget how much you miss it when all of a sudden it happens to be right in front of you. Ricardo, our bartender, what a gem. Forget about the perfectly made drinks that were served to us. Ricardo made us feel right at home with his kind disposition and friendly demeanor. But it doesn't just stop at Ricardo. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. We could have been served 7-11 sushi at this point and I still would have left 5 stars. Food time. The kimchi pork dumplings were an absolute flavor bomb and that parmesan broth gave the dumplings a little extra kick that took it to the next level. Plus, I love when the dumpling wrapper has a little chew to it and isn't this soft mush that dissolves in your mouth. The beef fat frites were a nice treat as well. They were not extra or over the top in anyway. But you can tell when something is done well and correctly, just like these fries were. The Premium Steakhouse Set, in my opinion, is all two people need to enjoy this very special experience. All the accompanying condiments were exceptional on their own and could have functioned as their own course. The Japchae glass noodles were a stunner. The real sleeper was the chopped lettuce greens tossed in their chili vinaigrette. Could have eaten 20 bowls of those lettuce greens. Sadly, I forgot the name of our server who cooked and cut our meat for us. She really added to the experience. She expertly prepared our food while maintaining a fun and pleasant conversation with us. The meat itself, my goodness, tender, smoky, quality-forward, and perfect served with the condiments. What a spectacular meal and overall experience.

We arrived on time but were told to wait in the lounge for about 10 minutes until our table was ready. It's unfortunate that they don't offer service in the lounge, no water or cocktails. We decided to order à la carte instead of the tasting menu to try a wider variety of items across the menu. For a Korean restaurant, I found it quite unusual that the banchan came with an additional charge. But, this is only if you order à la carte. It is included with the tasting menu. The following was plenty of food for two people: Selected Items: Tteokbokki - 3/5 Banchan - 3/5 Ssam - 4/5 Soondubu - 5/5 Prime marinated short rib - 3/5 Prime Ribeye Roll - 4/5 My favorite item was definitely the soondubu, which was extremely flavorful. If anything, the most disappointing dish was the Prime marinated short rib. I couldn't taste any marinade, and it was quite bland. When you order meat, the staff cooks it for you. Our server was very pleasant and did a great job prepping and serving. Additionally, the interior decor is quite nice and feels very cozy. At the end of the meal, the restaurant adds a 3.0% "surcharge" as well. But maybe that's standard in Chicago. This place has potential, but at this price point, when the meat itself and most of the dishes feel average, I just don't see a reason to come back.

The wood shelving, classic decor, and lively atmosphere made it feel timeless. The service was easily one of the best parts of the experience. Since it was our first visit, David walked us through the restaurant's history, constantly refilled waters, and somehow managed to clear plates within seconds of us finishing. They also made us an anniversary card, gave us complimentary sparkling water, and surprised us with a slice of key lime pie. The hospitality was incredible and made us feel genuinely celebrated. The stone crab was super fresh and the mustard sauce was the perfect pairing. The crab bisque was rich and creamy. The filet was cooked perfectly with a great sear, while the stuffed lobster tail was warm, flavorful, and topped with a parmesan crust. The lobster roll was solid with a perfectly toasted brioche bun. The sweet corn was sweet, buttery, and smoky. For dessert, the blueberry pie was so comforting. The filling had a chewy texture, wasn't overly sweet, and the crust was perfectly crisp. The key lime pie was a nice surprise from the restaurant and had a great graham cracker crust. Overall, every dish was delicious and executed well but nothing really wowed me flavor wise. If you love classic steakhouse food and seafood, this is the spot. The service alone makes it a fantastic spot for celebrations. Thank you David & Joe's Seafood for the incredible night.
