Ordered and received curbside takeout. When the waitress brought out the bag there were multiple ordered items missing. I politely went in with the receipt to alert the workers of which items were missing to retrieve. The woman( I assume the owner ) requested that I bring back in the items and bag as she "knows" the missing items were in there, insinuating I was lying. I then brought the bag back in and she realized that each of the items I stated were missing were not delivered outside. Amazing breakfast! The Harvest Hash Benny was a celebration for my tastebuds. I chose to have the Hollandaise sauce on the side to get the ultimate taste of the roasted beets and sweet potatoes. The customer service here is amazing! I had called about a week in advance to ask about reservations for my friend's bachelorette party. While they don't take reservations, the owner, Maria, said to call the day before to remind her and that she would do her best to accommodate us. I called the day before and when we walked in for brunch on Saturday, she had a table waiting for us! Very lucky to discover this gem during a two week stay on the Cape during COVID. Besides the great breakfast dishes and baked goods, the genuinely friendly service was superb! My first visit was with my husband and 2 teens. All were very pleased enjoying waffles, omelettes and baked goods. My second visit was with an old friend who lives on the Cape. She is a foodie and couldn't decide so ordered the corned beef hash and the NY steak and eggs - loved them both. I got the Salmon Scramble, it was very tasty! Our server and the other server - super friendly, attentive, and not overbearing. The people that work here are happy, and that says something. The food is also fantastic. We have eaten here several times since it has been owned by a new woman originally from NY. It is a good hostess who recognizes and warmly greets repeat customers. Not here. The food is very good. However, the attitude and the service are relentlessly bad. Last week we waited for two hours to eat our breakfast; we were a party of five and when I checked in, the owner/hostess told us we would have a half hour wait. It turned into over an hour. When I went in to see what was taking so long, the owner told me that I should have told her that one in our party was a child (almost nine years old). I'm still wondering if she thought that would mean a half of a seat? The food took an inordinate amount of time to serve. There was an additional charge for one of the toast offerings that was not stated on the menu or told to us when we ordered. Two omelettes came, then after a long pause, the third came. Then came the last two meals (pancakes and avocado toast). When we complained to our waiter ( the son of the owner), the owner came to our table and invited us not to come back ("Maybe this restaurant isn't for you and you shouldn't come back"). Stopped in late Saturday morning for a Western Skillet (Absolutely Recommend) and a nice coffee. The staff was super nice and our food came out quick and ready to go. I 100% recommend stopping in for breakfast or lunch. There are plenty of healthy choices on the menu which is awesome. The Fig had a great crowd inside, with proper social distancing for Covid. I was excited to try the Fig Tree Cafe and while my sandwich was very tasty it was not what I ordered. This was a good lesson for me in checking my takeout before I walk away. I ordered and paid for their Cali BLT(avocado, bacon, lettuce, tomato and herb mayo), what I received was a regular BLT with regular mayo. I tried calling multiple times and got the busy signal, I even walked down there to talk to someone in person but the line was out the door( which is great especially during these times). I finally got through on the telephone a hour later and explained my issue and I got an "I'm sorry that sandwich definitely should of had avocado on it" and when I asked about the mayo she asked someone in the kitchen and they told her they were out but they would be getting it in again soon. So needless to say I will be checking my takeout orders BEFORE I leave from now on. read more

Ate breakfast here the other day, was unbelievable !!! Inside is real small, but had the old style country feel to it. Staff was incredibly friendly. I grow up here in Marstons Mills. The Mills restaurant was always a great place to eat. I just went in recently and the new owners is rude and not friendly at all!!!! The waitress was nice and fast with are food. The owner was miss treating other guest and when some people came in she treated them like royalty. I think we should have all been treated with the same i'm out of kindness. We all pay the same and we as year round residence. Keep her Business alive on the off season.
