Visited last night. Old bank renovated into a pizza/bar. Very neat! Pizzas were very good, waiters were very attentive, salads were perfect. Would visit again if we lived here!!! Another one of my nieces establishments helps too! And they utilize the old drive thru as a drive up carry out. Pretty cool place all the way around. read more

3/2/24: stopped in this particular Saturday around 4:30ish. We had a wonderful experience but because of their limited parking, I wouldn't give five stars. Risking not finding a parking spot is a big detractor for us, otherwise, Federal would totally get five stars! They share the lot with a taco shop which was also very busy, so we considered ourselves lucky to find a couple spots. I didn't pay attention to notice if there was street parking available. The staff? Excellent. The young gal at the front was pleasant & said we could expect a 20+ min wait. That didn't happen, we got seated about five minutes later! Our server, Joe, was friendly and smiling the entire time he was at our table. Heck, even the bartender piped in saying "it's super good" when my sister ordered the maple & fig old fashioned. Definitely a fun bunch of staff at Federal. The food? Top notch. It didn't come out fast, so cool your jets. We enjoyed the leisure time of sipping our cocktails and munching on the meatballs & crispy polenta appetizer. My sister enjoyed her white fig pan pizza but I don't like that thick crust so I didn't taste it. My friend ordered the thin gluten free crust with her Casanova pizza. That I did try and it had a great flavor. She ordered the gluten free crust and despite not being a fan of non-gluten items, the other flavors of the pizza made it palatable. :-) I ordered the Mickey White pasta and although it was a smaller portion, had I not eaten the appetizer, I would have eaten the entire plate of Mickey White. They put the spinach on top for me vs cooking it in the sauce which I was happy to see. Despite the parking, I think we will visit Federal again (maybe just earlier to see if parking is better). read more

Great pizza in Phoenix that is open till 11pm. I've eaten a whole pizza in a sitting, but get a couple and share with company.

Wow! The pizza dough had a cardboard texture and was flavorless! The spritzer's flavors are overly sweet!! Better pizza options so close by! read more

I liked their pizzas but we are waiting for the one in our neighborhood to open. Any day now! I've heard good things about the one in Phoenix read more

Food is good. Service is lacking. You never have the same waiter thoughout the visit. Because of that, they forget your cocktails, your drinks and the inconsistancy makes for a scattered meal. read more

Food and atmosphere were great but what really made this great was.... Our server. Tyler was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend Federal and if you could get seated in Tyler's section, even better. read more

Finally made it over to Federal! All the hype is real- great service, great food and cute restaurant. Staff is very attentive and friendly, it seems they are actually fully staffed which I'm sure helps everyone. We got the fried mozzarella balls which were delicious- not too heavy, yummy sauce and the arugula is a great pop of freshness. We tried out the margherita pizza and added some garlic. It was delicious!! The crust is perfection; crispy and light and flavorful Tried out the apple cobbler for dessert and it was so good!! Warm cobbler with vanilla ice cream, what more can you ask for?? Can't wait to be back and try the Detroit style pizza! read more

Federal Pizza - Crispy Mozzarella - Pizza Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

The service is always phenomenal, and the vibe in the restaurant is great! Nice, retro feel without being kitschy or overdone. The At Last pizza is an all-time fave (the dough/crust is airy, crisp, but chewy -- everything you'd expect from a Neapolitan-style pizza), but I truly haven't had a bad thing on the menu. Truly a local gem! read more

I really wanted to hate this place because it's a trendy pizza spot. But unfortunately, it's really good. I had the house chopped salad which was not particularly chopped but I actually like it was just cut into strips with salami and cheese. Then I had the pepperoni pizza which was delicious and big but not too big that I couldn't finish it while sitting there. The bartenders were helpful and friendly, the place is nice inside and they even had bike parking. Highly recommend it, if you're looking for a nice pie and beer. read more

Awesome food. Better service. Definitely a must go to in Phoenix. What more can I say... don't ask questions Just try it! read more

The food is amazing everything is delicious I really enjoy the atmosphere they provide indoor and outdoor seating and the service is always great ! The only downside side is that it does get overly busy at peak hours and weekends and makes the wait long. But I guess that's just what you have to deal when it comes to a place that serves good food. read more

Always such a great place. I mostly just get take out (they have a drive thru for pick ups), but every once in a while I'll dine in. The staff here is great, food is great, atmosphere is great. They are consistently good... you try something new, you come back, and it's still as good if not better than you remember. And all their appetizers are so good, we didn't have room for the Pizza!! But, they have great pizza. AND they have a great lunch special where you can get a pizza and a salad. read more

Nice place. Another restaurant I've been trying to get to and finally made it. Adam was great and helpful in navigating me through the menu. Wine and beer selection were amazing. Soooo much to choose from. When trying a new pizzeria i always try the meatball appetizer and a margarita pizza. Adam knew what i was looking for and let me know the margarita wasn't traditional. Not a red base. So i went with the pepperoni. Those meatballs were probably some of the best i have tried in the valley. Beef, veal and pork. Juicy, flavorful and the polenta that comes with it, oh boy!!! I could eat a plate of that polenta by itself. The pizza was a bit different than what i'm used to but good. Light and airy crust. I would get it a bit more well done next time. A touch more salt in the dough making process definitely would help but still good. I can't wait for the paradise valley location to open up so i can try more things! read more

Came here for a quick bite and was so impressed by not only the food but our server Nubia. She was one of the best servers I've ever had, super impressionable and knowledgeable about the menu! read more

Probably my favorite pizza in Phoenix, cooked to perfection with a nice crispy crust each bite is as good as the last, (some pizza places the crust is the weakness but it is a strength at Federal) A sweet sauce is spread pretty comfortably on top of the pizza and highlights the rich and warm mozzarella cheese quite nicely. Pepperoni is slightly burnt and crispy adding an additional layer in taste to the pizza. I personally like to add a little crushed red pepper to spice it up a little. My only complaint is that I would like a little more sauce included so I get to taste it every bite. My definition of comfort food as I am sunk into my couch ready to enjoy a good movie as we speak! Overall rating would be 9/10 read more

Federal Pizza - Detriot style pizza - Pizza Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I have quite literally never had a bad experience here. All of the upward projects concepts are great-- but Federal Pizza is the jewel in the crown. Not only are the crispy fingerling potatoes my favorite way to eat a spud in all of Arizona....I fully believe that the double down is the best deal in Phoenix. Half a pizza and a salad for $13.50 before 4 EVERY DAY. Same with $6 till 5 daily for beer, wine, and coolers (the coolers are delicious and SO not your mom's wine coolers.) East behind the bar is so friendly and does a great job making sure everyone is taken care of, even with a full bar top. Come hungry! read more

So glad we stopped by Federal Pizza for some takeout because it was surprisingly delightful! We opted for takeout to be more mindful of Covid precautions so the pizza was a little colder when we got it, but it was still delicious and I can see how it would be really good piping hot. The dough here is perfect, a good amount of chewy and crispy. It's thin crust without being soggy, and there's a generous amount of crust for those who enjoy crust. We tried the Casanova (prosciutto and arugula), and the Big Star (little bit of everything), and they were both choices I'd recommend again. Takeout estimate online said it would take more than 1 hour, but they definitely were ready before that. Unfortunately there's no notification for when your food is ready so I'd just got a little earlier. read more

We had the best time this last weekend, at Federal Pizza. From our first interaction with the younger guy working the host stand, to the food server (Hailey sp?)...who is AWESOME, BTW!!! The staff at Federal goes over and beyond to take care of their customers. It's very obvious your experience matters to them. We started with the meatballs and polenta appetizer. Wow... the portion is huge and flavors are amazing. The polenta is crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. It's impressive. We ordered a pizza with half Meatball and the other half Pineapple Express. Do yourself a big favor and order your pizza with Dirty Crust. (Great recommendation by Hailey!!) It takes an already great pizza and adds another level. We loved it. Not sure if you are like us, but the vibe and playlist are also a big draw for us. Both boxes were checked, as the music was just the right volume and perfect for a fun night. Everyone was happy and it has great energy. We will definitely be back soon and encourage you to give them a try. You won't leave disappointed!!!! read more

Wow. Federal Pizza absolutely blew me away on so many levels. Food: -Pizza was likely some of the best I've had in all of Phoenix. The sauce and toppings were fantastic and the crust was perfect. -Wings were top tier and their ranch was everything a ranch fan could dream of. -Federal Chop salad was so great, their oregano dressing was phenomenal and I will be back for just the greens alone. Everything came out quickly and was sooo good! Staff: -Every employee I encountered was friendly and highly accommodating. There were multiple food runners, bussers, all chipping in to help make the experience smooth. It felt like a team effort and that they truly wanted us to enjoy our time. Ambience: -Super cool inside with awesome bar. We sat outside and it was lovely to look out on Central Avenue to watch all the hustle and bustle. Overall, this place completely won me over with the food alone but everything else made it unforgettable. I will be back! read more

I have lived in Central phoenix for 6 years and have never been to Federal Pizza but that all changed for a Galentines Extravaganza! My girls and I met up for dinner there and the food was delicious! The only reason I am giving this place 4 stars is because the wait was soooooooo long! However, the manager Bryan(or could be Brian) was so great. We were told 45mins - 1hour and 1:10 mins and once that came we were still waiting but Bryan/Brian was great and got us a seat. Federal Pizza - menu - Pizza Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Hello friends, Federal pizza has a really fun bathroom. It's just to the left of where you check in, there's two of them, you can't miss it. There's a sign on the door showing both a man and a woman who really look like they gotta go (lol!), very relatable. I was immediately hit with how unique and fun this bathroom was. Fun painted walls on top, nice black tile below. Everything was clean. But the real fun part was behind me-- a retro cabinet filled with custom printed toilet paper. I know, hard to believe right? I had to snap a pick and show my wife. She didn't seem too impressed, but I couldn't stop giggling myself. The only downside is, the red print might make you think you're bleeding if you're not paying attention (lol!). After washing my hands (you gotta wash those hands) I noticed a fun little sticker on the paper towel dispenser -- 'Employees must wash their hands before returning to regularly scheduled awesomeness' -- what a fun team! I didn't have time this time around to try the food, but it all looked and smelled great! My wife doesn't always let me treat myself to these things, but hopefully I can check it out once I get my cholesterol down a little bit. Thank you federal pizza for being kind and letting this old coot use your bathroom when I was desperately in need. Warm regards, Louis Goodman read more
