A cute place in Irvine with a variety of drinks to choose from. Plenty of parking in the front with tables both inside and outside the cafe. I'm a hojicha fan so I ordered the Black Sesame Hojicha. I liked the nuttiness of the drink and the sesame was a wonderful addition to the flavor profile for about the average price point of similar specialty drinks ($7). Something to note though: even though it was evening time, all of the tables were full so I had to take my drink to-go. Aiming to return and try more of their menu (and hopefully stay longer too)!
Great selection of drinks, I feel like they have a very interesting variety that can appeal to all kinds of tastes and palates. Super friendly and attentive customer service by the whole staff. Would like to try their double matcha, mango matcha and strawberry matcha next time. I did enjoy the ube and banana marchas. Not elite or perfect but very good. As for the coffee lotus eispanner with almond milk. Thought it was very balanced, not too sweet. It's a solid option. Oh and I think their logo / cup art is really freaking cool. I'm a fan. Cheers
I stopped by Febe Coffee with a friend and was intrigued by their diverse menu selection of drinks along with their secret menu. I opted for their Matcha Latte with Biscoff Cream on their secret menu. While there were plenty of people waiting, I was able to get my order quickly within 10 minutes. The matcha was smooth and earthy, while the Biscoff cream added a rich, sweet, and slightly spiced flavor that paired well with the matcha. The drink itself was on the more indulgent side like a dessert, but I still appreciated the quality of the matcha itself. Lots of unique drinks to try at Febe Coffee!
This used to be my go-to matcha spot for a very long time. Now however, the quality has been consistently average. The matcha is not as creamy as before and not much matcha taste too, which I used to love at Febe (a specialty for me infact). I do hope they revert back to what it was a few months ago, as this current version is just not doing it for me :(
Cute coffee shop that seems like a good place to get some work done. It's not that big overall but there was some seating both inside and outside. Overall thought this place was ok but I have friends that like the matcha here a lot so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing Panda latte: 3/5 it was ok but I don't think i'd order it again My boyfriend also got an ube matcha latte which he thought was just ok
I have seen this place on social media and was hoping to try it one day. Was in the area and this place popped up. So I gotta stop by to try it. Ordered the lotus latte & corn matcha. None of the drinks really stand out. The lotus was biscoff and there was nothing special about it. I had better. Same with the corn matcha. The corn flavor wasn't really there...matcha itself was not bad. Cute place Prob will not drive outta my way for it...
The coffee place is located in a tiny neighborhood plaza with a small parking lot. There are only 4 or 5 tables inside and 5 tables outside, 2 with umbrellas. They're best know for their matcha drinks but I went a different direction, ordering an iced Madagascar vanilla latte and choosing a raspberry pistachio croissant from their pastry case. The interior had no available seating so I sat at an unshaded outdoor table for a few minutes. I appreciated the judicious amount of ice in the latte (I dislike it when places over-ice the drink). It was just okay with no flavor of vanilla detected despite their note that their vanilla syrup is housemade. The pastry was very not-so-great. It wasn't warmed (as requested) and was quite dry. I couldn't taste any pistachio, even with some crumbles on top, and the raspberry was minimal. It was oddly sliced horizontally in half. Based on other reviews, come for the matcha drinks otherwise it's a pass.
Love this place and their variety drinks menu, another plus is the awesome pricing just one flat price. $7 bucks for the double matcha is great. The drinks are on the sweeter side so 30% is good for me. Pretty good tasting double matcha and fast service too.

The matcha is phenomenal here!! My husbands favorite is the banana matcha as seen in all the pictures. I am on a rotation from corn, black seasame and ube matcha. The space inside is outdated and a bit dirty...the matcha is the prize here! They have outdoor area and seating inside. Worth it for the matcha! There seems to be a line everytime we go! I wouldn't get coffee here...just matcha!
Considered good matcha to me! Nothing super special compared to the LA ktown ones haha. Service was friendly and fast, clean interior. - ube matcha: my friend got it 0% sweet. i would prefer maybe half sweet if they offer that customization. - corn matcha: personally, i didn't really taste the corn flavor. delicious matcha though. - strawberry matcha: delish! would get again. - double matcha: yum, standard, would order again.
I opted for the Ube Matcha and I really liked the matcha and Ube quality. The drink is creamy and full flavor, matcha flavor is apparent and not just sweet green milk. Service was quick and luckily I came during a low time, but it does get busy as the day goes on. Ambiance is nice with limited indoor seating and a few seats available outside. Parking can be limited.
Went on a Sunday around lunch and was surprised how packed this place was. I've read many reviews on their matcha so wanted to give this place a try. I got their corn matcha which had a subtle corn flavor. If you like your corn flavor strong, the drink might not hit the spot. The matcha itself wasn't bad, with a decent matcha flavor but also not too strong. I also got their black sesame hojicha which had a good black sesame foam but the hojicha flavor wasn't strong as well. Both drinks were sweet though. I usually get my drinks half sweet and it was still too sweet. I had to get my black sesame hojicha remade to 30% sweetness, but even that I think it would have been fine without any sugar at all. Despite the place being busy, the drinks did come out promptly. There are limited seating both indoor and outdoor but most people bought the drinks to go.

The pandan coffee is smooth and aromatic, and the ube coconut adds a creamy, lightly sweet finish. Together they make a unique, tasty drink that feels both comforting and refreshing. read more
A great spot for coffee and matcha in Irvine. The parking lot is fairly small, so you may have to walk a little bit in order to get there. The location is fairly small, but they do have both indoor and outdoor seating available. They also offer free wifi inside. They have a good selection of drinks to choose from. Oat milk is offered as an alternative milk for $0.50 more. The matcha is very good quality and the drinks are very smooth. Every drink that I've tried from there has been delicious and the different creams have very strong and fresh flavor. My favorite so far is the banana pudding matcha. I could honestly eat the cream by itself because the flavor is so good. I can't wait to try more of their drinks soon. read more
Familiar location but open as FEBE. Menu focuses on more of the popular offerings at other shops. I've been meaning to stop by for a while now. Grabbed the black sesame foam hojicha and it was delicious. Nice and smooth. Refreshing. Their menu is very on trend and I would come back and try more. They offer a small pastry case and a couple of sandwich options also. Indoor and outdoor sitting. Parking is mostly manageable. Please come and create your own adventure. read more
I visited before noon on a weekday. Parking was limited but I was able to score one that's not too far away or without having to wait. The store was clean and the service very friendly and efficient. My order became available pretty quickly. The drink itself was actually EXCELLENT. I wouldn't mind coming back just to have some again. I get different matcha lattes from various places nearly daily. Febe was one of the places that was actually memorable for all the good reasons. I appreciated how creamy my latte was and not too sweet my drink was. It also had a nice ratio of matcha taste and strawberry taste. So it felt like I was drinking 3 different drinks in one cup. The inside of the cafe has seating areas and some outside seatings as well. The decor was thoughtfully done and placed. Given the friendliness of the service, the excellent tasting drink, and the availability of seating choices, I wouldn't mind recommending Febe to my friends or going there just to have another cuppa. read more
Febe Coffee is one of my new go-to spots in Irvine for both coffee and matcha. My favorite drink here is the Lotus Einspanner; the espresso they use is good and I really enjoy the cookies they place on top. Their matcha is also excellent. You can really taste the quality and it's not overly milky like many other places. The service is consistently very good and the staff are always friendly and attentive. The only downside is that the parking lot is quite small, and the lobby itself can get crowded during busy hours, but it's worth it once you have your drink in hand. Overall, I highly recommend this place! read more

YUM YUM MATCHAAAA super good price too for a solid, good sized cup of matcha and the color is a pretty rich green too. their drinks do run on the sweeter side but its not too much and the flavors for the different cream tops are so good. the banana pudding matcha and black sesame hojicha were both yum. there isn't too much indoor seating and actually not that great for studying cause the tables r pretty small but there are some tables and seats outdoors read more

The Mango Matcha and Blueberry Matcha was so good. Both alone are worth coming back. The guy who took our order was friendly and welcoming. Everything about the drinks were great. Not too much ice nor too much cream etc. This location is pretty small with limited seating so on busy days I can see it being overcrowded. Overall solid matcha cafe in oc. read more
My friend and I tried their matcha latte with oat milk and it was just average. The matcha is not strong and bold. The taste is very light, more like a matcha flavored oat milk tea. The interior is simple and clean. There are seats in the outside and inside. There are quit busy on the weekends and there was a small line. It can be a bit challenging to find parking because the plaza is pretty crowded with different stores, but parking spaces are limited. read more
They make a mean double matcha here. This drink is meant to be sipped for the best taste. I love how rich the matcha cream is and how it paired so well with each matcha sip. I wouldn't drink it with a straw unless I really had to. And so begins my quest for the dreamiest matcha in OC.. read more

Music playing mildly loud, very full matcha spot. Lots of selection . I ordered the matcha espinnar , sweetness adjusted to less sweet, sub almond milk. Good grade of matcha, nice sweetness. Definitely recommend if you're in the area. Only one size 16oz - $ 7 read more

Came back to FEBE with my boyfriend and his sister and ended up trying a new drink. I got the black sesame hojicha and it was so yummy! I enjoyed my drink, but still prefer their matcha drinks so I would probably get a matcha next time. My boyfriend got his usual sea salt nutty, and he loves the peanut foam on top. It's the only drink he gets from here. My boyfriend's sister got the double strawberry matcha and she liked it. The line always goes by fast, service is good, and we always get our drinks within a reasonable amount of time. The only thing that I think FEBE could improve on is having more seating. read more

Me and my sister were in the find for the best matcha cos she got this list to complete. I would say this place is worth the drive! The banana pudding matcha was very balanced. It was not too sweet, it kinda tasted like a leveled up banana matcha drink. You get the option to add some crackers on top to add some texture and a sprinkle of aesthetics to it The black sesame hojicha was new to my taste buds but I did love it!!! Again, it's not another sweet drink. The foam was interesting too, it was flavorful and not just bubbles lol! The base kinda remind me of earl gray tea more than hojicha idk but I'm a earl gray girly so probably I'm biased on this one. But I would definitely recommend this drink! I added the raspberry pistachio croissant! It literally caught my eye because it reminded me of the pistachio haven in Italy where you could see pistachio croissants everywhere! But I didn't realize there was raspberry on the inside!!! I'm not a fan of raspberry at all but it complimented each other. I would get it again! Service was also good, there is indoor and patio sitting. The only issue was the parking. It was pretty intense to find a space. I usually grade overall, but honestly the drinks and food were so good it made up for it. I'd still come back to try something else next time. read more

I am so happy This place is 5 minutes from my house, and Febe will definitely be my go-to matcha spot from now on. The banana pudding matcha was great!! ~Get the cookie crumb topping! (They will offer to you when u get your drink) I can't wait to slowly try everything on their menu :) The place doesn't have too much indoor seating, and it only has outdoor seating. My first time at Febe coffee! Parking was a bit of a struggle but there's lots of parking in the back... We got 2 matcha einspanner and sea salt nutty latte and they were all delicious! Drinks came out fast and service was super nice! There's seating inside and outside with light music. Good place to chill with friends or study! read more
Small coffee shop with small amount of seating outside but still very busy and popular. Ordered quickly and got a number which was called out. There were a large variety of einspanners so I tried the lotus einspanner which is a biscoff flavored cream and crumbles on top. Needed to mix it really well and the coffee espresso didn't taste too strong but the drink tasted good. Got the mango yakult as well which tasted mainly like mango nectar with slight hint of yakult. read more
I ordered the ube matcha and ube island. The cream was SO good. It's a nice thick, rich texture that doesn't mix into the drink as much as I would like but the trade off is that you can definitely taste the ube flavor and the matcha flavor from the creams. The ube island was so yummy. I love the strong macadamia nut flavor and I recommend 50% sugar because it was pretty sweet! The service is nice. The workers are friendly and helped us navigate through how we wanted to customize our drinks. The ambiance is cute and a good place to study or sit and chat with friends! read more

Such a hole in a wall lowkey place! This place offers different matcha drinks and today I went with the island ube. The drink isn't overly sweet and it has just the right amount of matcha to ube ratio for me. When you first taste the drink, you taste the freshness and lightness of the coconut then followed by the sweet macadamia nut. After that you taste the ube & matcha. Febe coffee is a small cozy coffee shop in Irvine. I went because i was craving a matcha. They had many options to choose from including, Ube matcha, mango matcha, several coffees and much more. I decided to go with a double matcha this time and it was really good. The matcha was good quality and it was exactly what i was craving. I will say it was not that sweet so if you prefer sweeter matcha this might not be for you. Service was really quick. I would probably go back to Febe coffee if i happen to be near again. read more

My friends and I were looking for a little pick-me-up while visiting Irvine and found this cute little spot. It seemed like a hidden gem with a cozy interior and delicious drinks. I went for their coffee, but got distracted by the banana pudding matcha. It looked great in the photos and most places I've had banana pudding matcha usually hit the spot. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed. The banana flavor was too light and the matcha was grainy. I've had matcha before and I'm used to the taste and texture, but this one left my throat feeling irritated and the aftertaste was a bit too bitter. Albeit, I like matcha medium sweet (75% sugar), but it was still lacking. It looked aesthetically pleasing, but wasn't as good as it looked. However, the service was great! I was eyeing the pistachio raspberry croissant in their pastry box and the server came by to help me identify what it was along with the other pastries in the box. I'd come back to try their coffee in hopes that it is much better than their matcha. There's plenty of parking and a bathroom as well! read more
YUMMMYY :) I think they have such a huge variety of matchas to choose from but I got the black sesame hojicha because I was craving. It was super yummy and the black sesame wasnt too sweet. The staff are really nice and willing to adjust anything for the drink. I came on sunday afternoon and there was quite a bit of people there but I waited 8 minutes for my drink which wasnt bad for the amount of people in there. read more

I am super happy we finally have a comparable coffee shop in Irvine! I've come here a few times to try the various coffee and matcha drinks and would say some are definitely better than others. My favorite by far is The Nutty which is a peanut butter foam. I've tried the double matcha and banana matcha and while they are solid, sometimes taste a bit artificial. I still need to try the corn and ube matcha! The parking lot here can get quite crowded around the entrance but if you circle around back, there's usually plenty of spots. The interior of this place also has quite small little tables so it's not great for doing work. Outside has larger tables but not as much shaded tables but they do have wifi. read more

The first time I came here, I ordered a banana Matcha, which is 10/10!! It was so good that I couldn't wait to come back. After a month of having this on my mind, we finally decided to come back and we ordered the black sesame hojicha (milk tea base) and lotus einspanner (espresso) at 50% sweetness with less ice. I've definitely recommended a few people to come try Febe already. This is probably one of the better coffee/matcha spots in Irvine, but I still like the coffees in fountain valley better (Long Black Coffee still holds #1 title for me for einspanners, its just too far to drive to) read more
Egg Coffee was delicious I ordered it extra sweet. The service was slow. They only had 2 workers. The lines were long. I felt bad for the two ladies. Ambiance is what you expect for this type of a coffee shop. There was a cool old record player. A few seats inside and 5 tables outside. I'll be back the next time I'm in the O.C read more

I'm usually quite boring with my caffeine, but I decided to try the egg coffee here and absolutely loved it. I asked for it to be less sweet which I'd recommend because it was still quite sweet because of the foam. There's not a ton of seating inside but they have tables outside read more
Febe coffee. Parking can be rough lucky I found myself a spot. But I can imagine it be hard during peak hours for these businesses The vibe. Workers. Nobody smiles. Nobody looks happy. Flow for the employees definitely off. Reflects on The customers cause everyone look like they been waiting too long like at the dmv. Lotus einspanner was not good. Coffee way too strong. Flavor not there. Wasn't a fan at all Banana matcha. Was decent. Decent banana flavor. I think they do go over board with the toppings on both of my drinks. Overall just not a good experience starting with the vibe. We need more good energy from this place read more
Cute little cafe with many different matcha variations here, as well as coffee and other non caffeinated drink options! 'Banana Pudding Matcha': loved that it was topped with actual banana pudding! Matcha flavor was decent, but the drink was surprisingly not too sweet! 'Strawberry Cream': this drink was so pretty! It's a non caffeinated drink option, strawberry flavor was kinda artificial tasting and I did find this to be a bit on the sweeter side. Space is clean and modern, and they have a few seating inside and outside! Drinks came out pretty quick too. read more

Is the matcha really bitter? Or does the cream balance the flavor out? Trying to avoid getting the drink with full sweetness because I don't know what added sugar is used.
