Found this place on social media, thought I'd give it a go! The ambiance in the coffee place was nice, there was no line as well. The tables are a bit small so I wouldn't study here. We got a matcha einspanner 50% sweet and a double matcha no adjustments on sugar. The double matcha is a bit too sweet for my liking, I prefer when my matcha's a bit bitter. My boyfriend got 50% sweet and it was just right. The matcha drinks here have a light subtle taste of matcha if that's what you're looking for! Overall, a decent matcha spot. read more

I got the pandan latte and didn't realize until much later that it's actually non-caffeinated, with the option to add a shot of espresso for $1.50. Calling it a "latte" feels a bit misleading to me? Flavor-wise though, the pandan tasted a bit off to me and didn't really hit the mark compared to other places I've tried (*cough* Airoma). That said, service was super quick - especially for a weekday morning - and I'm open to coming back to try their other drinks. read more

This is such a cute spot! The service is fast and the staff are friendly. I just wish there were more seating options available. I went there to meet a friend and it was so busy which automatically tells you that this coffee shop is quite amazing! The drinks are so good! The egg coffee is on my list. I didn't get it yet from here as I didn't realize it was on the menu until I came back to look at the menu with my friend. I tried the sea salt nutty and it was so delicious. I'll be back to try the egg coffee soon! read more

I really enjoyed my experience here! They offer a variety of matcha drinks with cream, including some viral drinks like the banana pudding matcha! We ordered that one with 50% sweetness and it was perfect and not too sweet. I really liked their double matcha as well. The interior/parking can be small/limited during a rush, but not too bad overall. I definitely recommend this to anyone who likes specialty matcha creamtop drinks read more

I come here regularly with my daughter. We go out of our way to drive 30 minutes to get their hojicha latte. Staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. My one complaint is that I wish it was larger so they can accommodate for seats for customers to enjoy their drinks. read more

Febe is one of the new coffee place in Irvine that specialize in matcha! They other a variety options of matcha and topping cream and is definitely worth a try! Located in a very small plaza, parking is limited. Ambience (8/10): This is a grab and go place. Drinks: FEBE offers many unique matcha/hojicha flavors like Ube, sesame, corn, mango. Corn matcha (7.5/10): The matcha itself is indeed high quality. The color is vibriant, and it is strong. The corn cream on top, however, is a disappointment. It was light and does not really taste like corn Price (9/10): The price is good comparing to other places like Sip and Goods or Aroma. Great little coffee shop tucked off the 5 freeway, almost hidden in a maze of quiet neighborhoods. The place leans sweet, closer to a boba shop than a coffee bar, but that's part of its charm. I tried the strawberry matcha, the pandan latte with ube cream top, and the blue sparkling tea. All three were smooth, balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. Service was kind, quick too, maybe three or four minutes. A small spot with real care in what they make. Worth the stop if you're anywhere close. read more

This is another new coffee tea place Sorry to say, there isn't anything special about here. Service is quite bad. We ordered the black seasame coffee and black tea. The tea was bland, no flavor at all, definitely not worth $5. The black seasame coffee was ok, it has good seasame flavor. When we picked up the order, we asked for the lids. The staff (short with glasses) was quite rude, she pointed us to get the lids ourselves with unfriendly face. However, she put the lid on for the other male customer in front of us. So figure Definitely not going back. There are better choices in Irvine than here. read more

It seems like this cafe is trying to ride on the coat tails of every viral coffee/matcha out there and make their own version of it...which can totally work if they do it well since they are centrally located for those of us who don't want to drive 20 minutes for a morning latte. I went to check this place out during their soft opening. The service was amazing but the drinks could use a A LOT of work. I ordered the pandan matcha and when I went to taste it, all I tasted was a bland pandan milk. I went to the counter and asked the worker and she said "due to the rising cost of matcha, they adjusted their recipe"...what? You're still in your soft opening! I suggested they reduce the amount of pandan in the drink then and she said it would then be too milky. I asked if I could change it to another drink because the pandan was way overpowering. She was happy to and I switched it to the double matcha to hopefully get a nice punch of matcha for my morning drink. (Also, let's normalize telling cafes if we don't like our $7 drinks...) While I was drinking my (smaller size) double matcha, the woman next to me received her Ube matcha latte and I noticed the matcha part of her latte was a deep green compared to mine! What? You can't call it a double matcha if you're going to split the matcha content between the latte and the foam! I will just have to continue driving down to garden grove for my double matchas from Tatys. You get a 24oz drink for the same price as this 12oz one and it actually has double matcha. read more

Loved everything! This was my first time visiting Febe and the customer service was top tier. Not only did she gave me recommendations of my order, but she made sure everything was up to par. I ordered the Lotus Eispanner and I enjoyed it so much! I was in need of a coffee fix and this was definitely one for the books. It was also a very clean and tidy cafe. My friends and I just found this spot recently in Irvine and thought to give it a try. The staff were super friendly upon arrival and the cashier also complimented my nails which was super kind of her! I will say the inside is rather small with some seats outside as well. However, the place is clean and a great place for photos of your drinks! The matcha lattes exceeded my expectations and they were all super solid! I don't think they were the best I've ever had, but you get a perfect blend between matcha and the sweet foam, or strawberry purée, or mango. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu! read more

Tried Febe Coffee on the day of their grand opening, and overall it was a decent first impression. The inside is very small with limited seating, so it's not really the kind of place you'd go to study or hang out for a long time. There is outdoor seating though if you just want to relax and sip your drink. We ordered the Double Matcha and the Matcha Einspanner, both with oat milk. The Double Matcha was mid -- we'd rate it around a 5/10. The Matcha Einspanner was better, closer to a 7/10. Still, neither really wowed us. It's definitely not the best matcha in Orange County, but if you're in the area and craving something matcha-based, it'll do the job. Cute for a quick stop, but probably not a go-out-of-your-way type of place. Rating: 3.5 stars. read more

this is the best matcha you could probably get in OC.. yes it is that good. i've tried the matcha einspanner (my fav!), strawberry matcha, double matcha, & the banana cream matcha (sooo good and creamy). the matcha itself is very rich in flavor and creamy, it doesn't taste watered down or overly sweet. it's the perfect balanced matcha and the line moves pretty quickly. the inside seating is limited with about 4-5 tables & outside seating can get filled up fast on weekends, but definitely my go to place for a pick me up matcha! read more

Febe is located in the same location where Baum used to be; however, for those of you who were a fan of Baum and sad that they're gone- you're in luck because the team is the same! The cafe has been completely redesigned and while its menu has been changed as well, I'd argue that it's better now as Febe!! The drink menu has been simplified- but it's definitely not boring! It features matcha and espresso drinks that have been widely popular amongst other cafes lately- including einspanners and a yummy banana pudding matcha. They use 4g of ceremonial grade matcha and you can really taste the quality :) They also still offer small bites- including cheesecakes, muffins, and croissants; however, I'm unsure if the cute soufflés that Baum offered are still available. Overall, I'm excited for Febe and glad that the team is the same. The owners are extremely kind and always offer the friendliest service- making you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in the door. I will definitely be returning to try some of their other offerings! :) read more

Went tonight and was greeted when I walked in and my order was taken and the girl taking it was very sweet! There is a reason why this is my favorite matcha place. The matcha einspanner, slightly sweet at first but as you keep drinking becomes more savory and bitterness of the matcha flavor came out. You could really taste the matcha flavor in a subtle but not watered down way. This drink was great with whole milk. read more

I had heard a lot of great reviews about this place, so I decided to check it out. Parking was pretty limited I went around 5 PM on a Friday, and it was really crowded. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which is perfect for studying. Their menu has a nice variety of coffee and matcha drinks. I ended up trying the banana pudding matcha for $7 and thought it was really good. The foam had a slightly artificial banana flavor, but it wasn't too strong and still tasted good. It paired really well with their matcha, and the vanilla crumbles on top were a great touch. Overall, it was a solid first impression, and I'd definitely come back to try more of their drinks! read more

Y'all ever go to a place and think "damn, I'm old." Well, this is one of them. Friend wanted a fast drink so clearly Omomo and HeyTea were both out of the question. Enter Febe: lines are often shorter and moves relatively quickly (seating is scarce tbh). I thought the Strawberry Matcha that I got hit a nice spot. Wow, definitely going back for more. Ordered: - banana pudding matcha (as is) - banana pudding matcha (50% sweet, oat milk) - ube pudding (30%, almond milk) My as-is banana pudding matcha with vanilla wafers tasted like a Royce Matcha chocolate wafer candy. So yummy! The foam was thick and I really enjoyed the textures and flavors between the matcha and banana. Next time, I would try to get 50% to feel less guilty My friends weren't going to drink theirs until tomorrow, so I asked for no ice and they offered to fill in the extra space with foam without charge (thank you!). For my friend's banana pudding, they put the wafers in a separate container so it wouldn't get soggy I really appreciated the accommodations and service! AMBIENCE It was around 5:30 on a weekday. I've been twice and loved it! No adjustments to be made, like many other coffee shops where their drinks are filled with too much sugar/syrup/ice. It's perfect at Febe! Febe Coffee has amazing coffee and matcha! They make drinks quickly, effectively, and deliciously. I ordered the Hojicha with 2 pumps of their syrup & loved how nutty and not too sweet the drink was. My bf got the banana cream top matcha and enjoyed it. Because the banana flavoring was not in the drink itself the banana taste was very mild. People who don't LOVE banana flavoring but want a hint of it would enjoy this matcha drink. The inside is very nice with a few tables. It's a wonderful place to study at but it is a little difficult to find a seat because there is not a ton of seating inside & outside. Overall a great coffee/matcha spot I recommend to those looking for a treat & some caffeine ! read more

there's a parking lot out front & indoor + outdoor seating. i saw some people doing work when i came, and the interior is rly cute as well! i got the matcha einspanner & would def recc the drink! the cream top isn't too thick, so it mixed in with the matcha well & the matcha flavor is very delish! the workers were also very nice & were happy to answer any questions i had! i would 100% come back if i was in irvine read more

MY FAV MATCHA!! such a good price point $7 for amazing quality matcha (that's not overloaded with ice or too milky) and delicious cold foam in different flavors like ube and banana. The girls there are always super cute and quick to make my drinks! Also, the foam topping on the drinks is more of like a cream that's rich but not too thick - just perfect! Was looking for a coffee spot in Irvine and this place was so good! I've been on a cookie butter kick and their lotus einspanner was one of the best biscoff lattes I've ever had. Make sure to mix it because it can be strong but once mixed it's the perfect flavor. My bf got the island ube, I'm not the biggest matcha person but love authentic ube and it definetely tasted like authentic ube. Drinkable but not worth coming back for. Last time I came in alone and had a Flat White that was terrible and I dumped it out. I did not have time to ask for another but I'm sure they would have remade it. Wall Writers is located in an office complex but in a good way. There is plenty of free parking and in the afternoon and on Saturdays you can park right at the entrance. The restroom is located in a separate building across the courtyard and watching people search for it can be mildly entertaining LOL It is a nice place to work with plenty of natural light and a wonderful patio for enjoying nice weather. I just wish the drinks were a little better. But because of the convenient location I will probably try it again. Maybe Ill try something iced?

Ordered: Sea Salt Caramel Latte (he did adjust the sweetness), Peanut Butter Coffee and Peach Breeze. Peach Breeze was the worst because it tasted like there was no tea in it. Like it was just water and syrup. Also had a bad experience with the cashier girl. "Did you order?" "Where are your drinks?" "I need to see your drinks" with a tone and attitude. I've never had that kind of experience here before. Being heavily pregnant I would at least expect a better friendlier conversation. My dad was the one holding the drinks behind me though. From that experience I would not want to come back. There are many different options.

The matcha has also been disappointing every time I've tried it since their grand opening- too milky and watered down despite being ceremonial grade. The hojicha is good. Overall, it's a nice spot to catch up with friends or lock in and work. Drinks are fine if you just need something sweet.
