Second time ordering from this restaurant and they never disappoint. I had issues with delivery as far as that the food was bomb! Quick shout out to the ADAM thank you! Such a helpful person :)) Try the burritos and salad! read more

Fatty Daddy Taco is amazing. It never disappoints. The quality and quantity of food is well worth it. Delivery is always fast and food still hot. I even brought a bowl to a family member in the hospital (in the city) and it was fresh and quite enjoyable for someone without much of an appetite. Thank you! read more

I have shamelessly enjoyed the fish tacos here every night for the last 5 nights. I'm completely addicted. It's fresh marinated grilled fish on a hot corn tortilla with cabbage lettuce, radishes, cilantro and some sort of chipotle/poblano sauce/mayo/aioli. It's so freaking good. It's so fresh. The employees are a delight. The actual restaurant is cute and authentic. It's local and family owned. The prices are very reasonable. They have every flavor of Jarritos soda. I MEAN. WHAT MORE COULD YOU POSSIBLY WANT?! I am literally having anxiety about when I move because I won't be able to have my beloved fatty daddy tacos. Love love love this place with all of my tiny grinch heart. read more

We did carry out and the food was delicious and good sized tacos for the price. Very flavorful and definitely some heat!

Bf and I ordered for pickup via Yelp and ate the meal with their outdoor seating. We ordered 1 steak taco, 1 chorizo taco and 1 steak fajita hero torta (we added guacamole and jalapeño) The actual food we received have no added guacamole and we are glad that we decided to eat outdoor. Few things to note: it is wise to check your food for nowadays, many add on items are somehow not added in the food. Last thing, it is actually cheaper to order in person - the listed prices are different than the actual prices charged in person. read more

This is definitely a delicious place in my book. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for some great tasting Mexican food, this place is a must. Not only do their tacos taste authentic but as a previous yelper mentioned, the portions are definitely worth the price! The average price of a taco is around $4 and you get 1 stupid little taco. A $4 taco from here is 6 inches and it's LOADED! The burrito is also HUGE and it tasted GREAT (even 4 hours later)! Only complaint is that I told them no beans, and it still had beans but I have to admit, it still tasted good. Only, my dislike for beans overpowered the taste and I had to open the burrito up and take some of the beans out. My boyfriend and I came here and ordered: 1 grilled chicken taco 1 Al Pastor taco 1 Spicy stewed chicken burrito 1 Al Pastor Quesadilla The portions were so filling, we still have the burrito and 1/2 a quesadilla left. I usually don't like Pico (salsa fresca) but I can't stress enough that since EVERYTHING was so fresh and delicious, I actually REALLY LOVED the fresca with my quesadilla. The seating area in the restaurant is pretty small so don't be surprised if you don't find a seat. A couple more things I NEED to mention: - The customer service is great and polite. - the service itself is SUPER fast. We received all the item we ordered in under 10 minutes! And that was while they were preparing delivery orders. This place is truly great and we'll worth a visit. I can't wait to return! But until then, .....taco to you later... read more

After seeing my beloved Varrio closed I decided to walk to 9th street because once you crave tacos you MUST address the craving. There was nothing like the freshly made tortillas at Varrio. Ah, you'll be missed. The place is small and although there are some bar stools it's still pretty tight to eat in. Bowls are available but not in the menu. Basically any burrito menu item could be served in a bowl. I ordered a Al Pastor bowl with a Tamarindo Jarritos to go. I was so hungry and parched. This NY weather could have anyone feeling this way. I arrived to the train station sadly to see they had forgotten my utensils and my Jarritos was hot. Daddy why couldn't you just add the utensils. I guess it refrained me from eating in the station which I never do anyone but a girl was huuunnngrryy. Also they should have known the Jarritos was hot and given me a cup with ice. Once I arrived home my bowl was still warm and I don't know if it was because I was hungry but, it was delicious. I deducted a star for forgetting my utensils and serving me a hot Jarritos. read more

Um I am currently in the middle of eating my fish burrito with no special extras and I was so compelled to peel myself away for just a second to write that this flipping burrito is the BOMB. I am so impressed by the way they infuse refreshing flavor into the meal. I also had to tell my friends - mid-bite - how much I was enjoying everything Fatty Daddy offered in that burrito. I will most definitely order from here again - especially since they came in record time and also because I really want to try their other menu items. Highly recommend Go for it - I'm sure u will not regret it read more

Fatty Daddy Taco - Mostly devoured, super delicious and refreshing fish burrito with no extras. - Mexican Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The word I would use to describe my grilled chicken burrito would be: fresh. Fresh and flavorful. Fresh, flavorful, and generously portioned. The burrito was bursting at the tortilla-seams with chicken, beans, rice, and an amazing blend of onions, tomatoes, and other ingredients that blend so well I can't single them out. I'll definitely be back to try the entire rest of the menu. I haven't tried delivery but the restaurant itself is bright, clean, and welcoming--though very small, definitely an order out situation. The staff was extremely friendly and the food was fast. read more

Fatty Daddy Taco - Grilled chicken burrito! - Mexican Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Had a steak taco and a chorizo taco. These were a good halfway point between authentic Mexican and American. Mexican was the doubled up in corn tortillas and the flavor; American was super full and bursting forth (not complaining) Steak and chorizo both tasted good. Chorizo was like 80% oil read more

My only complaint is I wish the spot was bigger but I enjoy their food I come now about twice a week to get tacos which are my favorite and the young lady told me to try the Baja salad with steak AMAZING!!! I have been coming to Fatty Daddy's mostly for dinner and love their fish tacos. Today I came by and saw the lunch special, 3 tacos and a soda for $10.95. I placed two orders and my order total was $27.11??? I didn't know why it was so much so I asked the ladies behind the counter. They pointed somewhere behind me that it was listed .50 per fish taco. I looked around and finally saw the takout menu posted on outside of window. How was any patron suppose to see or know this? Why not just write on your sidewalk board, "exluding fish" or ".50 per fish taco). Your food is good but your lunch menu board was false advertisement! read more

I order from Fatty Daddy Taco all the time! The delivery is super fast and the food is good Never disappoints. The burritos and quesadillas are awesome. I love the grilled fish tacos too. Chorizo taco isn't my fave. I really love the burritos though! I've had the steak burrito a few times, and they do a good job. The prices of the tacos are pretty expensive spanning from 4-6 dollars a taco. That being said they are delicious The staff is very nice and the service is great, the place is calming and it has good music! Small space, about 3-4 tables. No ac, so it gets hot inside. But will be going back! I recommend. Can't believe it took me so long to write a review for Fatty Daddy Taco! read more

Perfect taco selection in this sweet restaurant. The price is right as well. Any Taco I had was very tasty and freshly prepared. The guacamole is very tasty with chunks of avocado. read more

Wow. This fella has had many of burritos in his days, but I can say this place takes the trophy. There's something special about this burrito, aside from all the fresh ingredients they use it taste unlike any other burrito or Mexican food in that case then I have ever had. I've passed this joint hundreds of times, I am now sad that it took me years before actually ate at this amazing take out. Don't make the same mistake I did, get a burrito today! read more

These were probably the worst tacos I've ever had in my life! The steak tacos were tough and the al pastor tacos tasted horrible. The meat tasted sour! I can't tell if it was either undercooked or just plain rotten. I literally spit the taco out of my mouth. The tacos look appealing to the eye but it doesn't taste as good as it looks. They claim that the price is based off of the quality of their ingredients, but for almost $5.00 a Taco the quality of the ingredients are shit! There are waaaay to many places in Brooklyn to get good quality tacos for half the price. Do yourself a favor and save yourself both a trip and your money. read more

Overall satisfied with my order of grilled chicken taco with guacamole on the side. Nothing fancy, quick and easy service, good portion. read more

Fatty Daddy is a fine, fine place to order from - good, reasonably priced food. The tacos are great - the Al Pastor tacos in particular are on point - and the Burritos are huge. Their salsa is incredibly good - I'm generally a chips & guac kind of guy, but their spicy salsa has just the right amount of addictive kick. The quesadillas are a greasy, cheesy delight, with a generous side of sour cream and guac (extra) if desired (I desired). Also, their Jarritos lime soda brings me back to my Bronx childhood. All of the food is fresh and flavorful - few disappointments if any with the food quality. Depending on timing, though, not an ideal space to eat in. The space is small, with about 4-5 tables with stools. Stopped in on a lovely Sunday late afternoon, and it was an incredibly tight squeeze. Even when we got a seat, it felt a bit cramped. The staff was incredibly lovely and apologetic and got everyone their food as quickly as possible - perhaps it was just an unusually busy time - but I probably will stick to ordering in when I need my Fatty Daddy fix. Which is often enough, believe you me. read more

Great addition to the neighborhood. I've been twice already since they opened and both the grilled steak taco and the fish taco were top-notch. Steak was juicy and cut with just the right amount of cilantro and grilled onion; fish was deelish and not overwhelmed by the chipotle sauce. The place has a real authentic feel. It's small but both times I was in there, there was a good neighborhood crowd. Haven't gotten delivery yet, but this could easily become my go-to joint for eating at home as well. read more

I glanced in the window on my way to another destination when a man exited Fatty Daddy and made it a point to stop and come back just to let us know that he is infatuated with this place. He told us everything was good on the menu and that he is compelled to come here regularly to get his fix. I wasn't hungry at that point, but always down to try a new place, I made a mental note. Thank you infatuated man! This place has super friendly service and the tacos, quesadilla and enchilada soup that we tried upon our return were excellent. The quesadilla was large and stuffed full of delicious cheese and chicken (in my case). The steak from the tacos was also deliciously spiced and grilled. BONUS: Although they are a small place with just a couple tables, they are a BYOB establishment and there is a great spot right next door! read more

My friend introduced me to this amazing spot two weeks ago and we already had 4 burritos within this two weeks. First and most important, all fresh ingredients the burrito dough is home made and taste great. I personally prefer steak in my burrito and fatty daddy knows exactly how to make it! The price is absolutely right for the area ($10 for standard & $12 for double meat). The only thing I would suggest them to improve is their noon time employee attitude, as a first time customer she wasn't helpful and gave us a little bit attitude while questioning about their menu. read more

I would have given this place 1 star, but the tacos were ok. My complaint comes from ordering pick up. Getting there and being told to wait while the young lady cashed out her draw. I told her my takeout was on the window and she said wait. It clearly had my name on it, then15 minutes later she says ok I can help you. I tell her again my takeout is on the window. By now my food is cold. Not happy and pricey AF read more

After a great workout, I came here and had the most mouth-watering grilled chicken quesadilla. Fatty Daddy Taco - 4 tacos very filling but delicious! - Mexican Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

The food is good but the only thing that I didn't like is that the waitress saying that we have 45mins to eat.

I have to say I half skipped my way home when I learned a new Mexican food spot had come to 5th Avenue. I came by for a quick meal and can't say I was as ecstatic afterwards. I had a steak taco with a Jarrito - pretty basic order for someone trying to size up the food and service. The taco didn't have a lot going for it. The grilled steak was a bit bland and didn't couple well with the corn tortilla and cheese. The steak was sauteed with caramelized onions which didn't seem very authentic to me. The meat almost tasted more like something I'd have at a Domincan spot with some white rice and beans. It was a little fajita like but...blander. I like the location, look and theme of Fatty Daddy Taco. It just feels like a nice place to come and have a meal. The young lady who took our order at the register was pleasant and attentive. My first time experiencing their menu- their most advertised meal (the taco) was disappointing. However, I haven't written off Fatty Daddy Taco, I want to come by again and see if it was just a one time thing or perhaps I can order something else, though I would hope the tacos at "Fatty Daddy Taco" would be pretty tasty. Let see. read more

Cute little taco place. Would be a great place for a quick bite or something to go. Chicken, steak and al pastor tacos plus a diet soda for around $10. Two words: Yum Yum!!! I just moved to the city from San Jose where a good taco is easy to find, but here not so much. So you can imagine how happy I was to find this place just across the street from where I was meeting up some friends for drinks. I orders a chicken taco and fish taco a that were so delicious I though I was back in the Bay Area. Great flavor that used fresh ingredients that had me salivating for another, but I had to stop myself as I didn't want to fall into a food coma.
