We went here for breakfast over the weekend and it won't be our last trip. We met some family here and the place was packed. The tables are small four person tables and there were six of us and they wasted no time at getting comfortably seated. The dining area is small and it was very busy and crowded however, that didn't prevent us from having great service. We ordered and the food was delivered promptly and our waitress was very attentive which amazed me c how busy they were. I had a mixture of things that I put together kinda ala cart if you will. Two biscuits with sausage gravy, two eggs, sausage patties, and home fries. Let's just say that I wasn't expecting the amount of food that I received. The biscuits were huge and the gravy was perfect. The portions were more than what I expected. The place has a great vib and is decorated very neglectful with various things from Madi Gras to mermaid paintings and lots of signage. The parking is ample and easy to get in and out of. So if you're in the Mandeville area definitely stop by and give them a try.

Then she told me that they just had a class on food allergies This is really exceptional that a restaurant is taking up their own initiative to learn about food allergies so that they can service their customers with better care While the food is definitely excellent with the capacity to offer different options for the different dietary needs that people have and the staff is educated, I just wish that they had better coffee at the Mandeville location like a cappuccino or a café latte Still an excellent choice

We were greeted by a wonderful young lady who looked around at all the empty tables and said, "Sit anywhere!" We looked around at all the available tables and chose a round four seater by the door. As we were sitting down, an older lady who appeared to be the manager said not that one! You have to sit at a square table. I looked around and only four of the 12 tables in the room had guests. I asked why and she said it is a rule because if a group of five or more come in they need the round table. I looked at three large round empty tables that could seat five or more. I asked to speak to the manager or owner and she replied she is not here and walked off. We went to a square table and had our meal. Only two other people came in while we were there and the same lady told them to sit anywhere. The food was good, the young people who served us were excellent but the manager was rude, devoid of any concept of the importance of good customer service and unyielding in her effort to follow her rule. Had I been alone, I would have left. I definitely will not go back.

The shaved ribeye was incredibly tender, the Gruyère added just the right richness, and the au jus was packed with flavor. Fried Oysters and Pork Belly - very good, if you get this make sure you eat them together (that was our "best bite" for that serving). Wedge Salad - one of the best wedge salad's we have had. I loved every bite that included lettuce, tomatoes, onion, and bacon. Delmonico Steak - this was probably our overall favorite item. Just a great steak, and large enough for both of us to enjoy. Tchefuncte Potatoes - they almost were like a twice baked potato (flavor wise), but they are super creamy and fluffy and then turned into a lightly fried ball. Good and very unique.
