We had high hopes that we're disappointed in the pizza. We've tried four pizzas just to give them a fair chance but I found them to be mediocre at best the main problem is they were greasy. Way too much oil, too much cheese, the whole cloves of garlic seem not to be cooked with the pizza but dumped on afterwards and were flaccid in texture. Last time in we noted that the pesto pizza is now off the menu. That was the worst of the ones we tried. When phoned later after finishing our take-out I mentioned how unbearably oily it was. I was told "we're working on it, haven't perfected it yet." I thought working on it was something you did before you offered it to your customers. read more

I never give 1 star reviews. Seriously just writing this is causing me self guilt & foreboding thoughts. ' Am i going to be reborn a mosquito or a disease ridden fly?' But this place deserves it.After a long hour wait at a spot that was semi full (no reservations policy) we were finally seated. Our orders were taken and we noticed there were no cups & 1 set of silverware was missing but our initial thoughts were ' No biggie ..it happens' . Our orders were taken and our appetizer of wings came. Still no water and no silverware.We were told they ran out of clean cups HMMM Okay .. 3 people were served food but 1 order was missing. 10 long mins later .....the final order arrived but..... it was the WRONG dish! We ordered a dairy free dish but was served dairy for a person with a dairy allergy . Another 10 mins later dish arrives .. hooray....? Ready to dig in finally after waiting 1.5 hours but wait !!!!! WHAT's MISSING!!! ... Silverware!!!! We ask for it only to be told ' Sorry we ran out of silverware !' WHAT? Are you swearword kiddin me ?? Finally fork arrives and we dig in . Is the food cold ? Check . Is the food soggy overcooked ? Check. Is the sauce bland and does it taste like it's from a huge prepackaged vat ? Check mate . Was it worth the price tag of $21? Nope. I rest my case. Btw to be fair they did not charge us for the dish after we kicked up a fuss . But in my 38 years of dining out even in the remotest village in Indonesia did I ever encounter a restaurant with no clean cups or forks to serve their guests during a meal. We feel this place has potential as some dishes were yummy (tho severely overpriced) . They need a visit from Chef Gordon Ramsey ( of Kitchen Nightmares). read more

Lovely atmosphere here, food is good and service prompt and polite. Fish and Chips were delicious and the cannolis are beyond description.

Totally disappointed after reading the reviews. First off got served a drink in a dirty glass. Ordered the pork chop with mashed potatoes and a vegetable. The pork arrived as strips of grilled pork not a chop, roasted potatoes not mashed. The wrong style potatoes wouldn't have been a big deal but I didn't like the taste of them. Hubby got a pizza which was okay the sauce was not great. The waitress did ask if I wanted to exchange my meal for something else but honestly I was one and done. Not worth the money. Lastly I know it's warm out but seeing the workers not the cooks in tank tops in the kitchen had me questioning if that's against code. read more

Joined a Sat night crowd at the newly opened Fat Crow and was delighted. The space is distinctively designed and has eye-catching details that impress and delight in every direction you look including up! The menu has some range, but the copper-clad beehive pizza oven that has pride of place in the middle of the airy quarters, invites your attention. My fungi pizza was laden with succulent shiitake and baked garlic cloves--a winner. Wines, ribs, cheesecake dessert also hit high notes. Go there, feast your eyes and palate. Eager to see them expand the hours and serve throughout the day. read more

I really wanted to give a review of this place since it has only been open a month and surprisingly it had only one review talking about the outside. I can only over my experience in trying to get a table...twice. The first evening my wife and I was in the area we stopped by around 715pm. A nice new looking 2 story structure. It was full. We were only a party of 2 but were told the wait would be 1 hr and inquired whether they take reservations. We were told they don't. Upon entering you are met with a unique bench made of coins that you can wait for your table or sit on the far end on the cushioned bench. We decided to go to another local rest., Williamsville Eatery, on a side note, every stage of our meal there from appetizer to dessert was great and the owner was part of the wait staff so we were able to ask why the food was so tasty. After looking at Fat Crow from the outside, clean, new-looking, 2 stories, lots of cars in parking I was under-whelmed when I entered. It's a lot smaller than you would think inside. I was actually looking around the counter if there was another dining area. The main level at Fat Crow only has 7 tables. Approx. Five 4-seat tables and two 6-seat tables. My first impression was there seemed to be quite a few cars in the parking lot and it only has 7 tables in the restaurant? The ground floor is split into half dining area and half kitchen area. The 2nd floor, I feel, is wasted on displaying 2 motorcycles which could've been enlarged a little to accommodate more diners. We tried our luck again on Sunday. Prior to entering we asked a couple how their dining experience was. The female said the swordfish was dry and wasn't that fresh, tasted frozen and suggested we stay away from anything seafood since Vermont isn't really known for having great, fresh seafood and commented, "you cant go wrong with any meat dishes." Also, she did say the creme brulee was very good. We asked the what time they arrived and they said 5pm, when the restaurant opens. That seems to be a very good tip. We entered around 615pm and again, were told an hour wait. We noticed one of the 6-seat tables was empty. After a few minutes of waiting we hear a party of 6 enter and say, "We made a reservation." Strange, after we were told they don't take reservations only 2 days prior? The tips we learned if we decide to try a 3rd time, which is a little unlikely, is try to come early to avoid waiting, dont order the swordfish or any seafood dishes, and the creme brulee dessert is good. read more

I ate there with my dad and kids, and it was a place worth giving a try. We had Pretzel, Ribs, Calamari, Clam Chowder. The Chowder was good but not my daughters favorite, she's a bit of a chowder maven. The Pretzel is HUGE and a cool place to start, it is served with a really good hearty mustard. The Calamari was good. The ribs were lean and well done, I think I detected a grape undertone to the BBQ sauce. The Eggplant fries were a pleasant mixed bag, about half of them still had some bitterness, which made you sad because the other half were really great and a fun change from same old. I'd say you should give it a try if you're looking for some good food and a solid experience. It's clear they start with quality ingredients, know how to prepare them, and put in the effort to be different and part of a conversation. read more

It was pretty good. We had a burger, buratta ravioli, onion soup, a pretzel, and fish and chips. All in all it was all pretty good. Nothing was all that great, but most of it was pretty good. The soup was really bland. My only real beef that would make us have a 2nd thought about returning is it was pretty pricey for what it was. MIND YOU, it isn't 'expensive', just not worth the price in the end. It was pub food at prices higher than pub food. I'm not trying to rip into the food, it just was what it was. read more

Overall the food was good, the service was great, the place is beautiful, the price was reasonable but the owner was simply horrible. The place is NOT family friendly. We went at 5pm on a Wednesday, the most child appropriate time they are open, we were the largest group in the restaurant, we spent hundreds of dollars and the owner was not just rude to our children but out of line. When you speak to a two year old, you should show nothing but compassion and care. I am all for community focused child support but when you snip rudely at toddlers you are simply not apart of a community I wish to support. I would have loved to return if not for this horrible interaction. read more

We dined at the Fat Crow Saturday 10/13/18. The food was excellent. I have never written a review on Yelp before but I felt compelled to write a review after my uncomfortable dinning experience. Actually I had to download the app to write this review. The waitress was rude! Her sarcastic and rude comments were unjustified . Not a pleasant evening. Came to VT for a long weekend to relax. Did not anticipate I would have such an unpleasant dining experience. I often dine out in restaurants in Philadelphia, PA. The employees working in the restaurant business in Philadelphia know how to treat their customers like they would like to be treated- respectfully! read more

We've tried to get in before but the wait was too long, tonight it was 20 minutes so we got a couple of beers and waited on the porch. The food was excellent with very generous portions. We shared some calamari, had the special chicken tacos which were fabulous as was the pulled pork platter. Service was prompt but not rushed. Waitress Elizabeth was very friendly and on top of her game. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back for sure. read more
