I came in from a traumatized nail experience of rudeness, bad filing, lies about what they were putting on my nails up in ft. Lee. A friend recommended but it was about 50 minutes away from me. I bit the bullet and tried to break the cycle I had been in of mediocrity and inflated nail prices. My tech gurus name was Tee. She broke it down gently but kept it 100 as to what was in my nails, the pipe dream they were selling me at my old spot, what she could realistically do. Ended up cutting down to get a fresh shape, then doing GEL material nails that feel sooooo real and are so nice and thin. I had a lot of annoying questions. Tee was really patient. I had a lot of hesitation, requests. Basically I'm a difficult ass person that doesn't know what I'm talking about or what I want vs what I need but I was not led astray! I wanted Christmas, but not to girly, with matte, blah blah. Yea I hear myself. I'm a Karen, but I was treated well and learned so much! I've been coming to get my nails done with T for a little over a year and she's great. She does it all! Designs, gems, anything you ask and if she can't do it she will definitely let you know. They take appointments which I highly suggest especially on weekends and in the summer so you are able to be seen in a timely manner. read more

Only chose 1 star to leave a review but wow. Sh*ttiest manicure and pedicure I've had in YEARS. I usually have my regular nail tech but she's been busy so I decided to come here since everyone's always speaking highly about (no idea why). The lady SOAKED my gel manicure to remove the polish... it's gel not acrylic -- she was doing more harm than good at that point. At that point I said screw the gel manicure, just give me a regular one and call it a day. All of my nails are different shapes, the process was rushed so she cut me while removing cuticles. I made an appointment for a specific time, and they still have a lady in the place of my appointment that was a walk in. When you ask/tell them that, that's why I made AN APPOINTMENT in the first place to be in the chair at a specific time because I have time constraints - they try to argue with you. If I didn't have a tight schedule, I would be walking in and intruding on another person's appointment. That place only exists thanks to Rosa and her exceptional work ethics. Was skeptical about this place just by walking in. Really dingy looking, out of date, floor looked dusty like it hadn't been swept in forever. I was desperate to get my toes done and the place I always go to was jam packed today. Customer service was not outstanding. I was not greeted when I entered. I had to walk up to a lady in order to be acknowledged and then asked what I needed done. Clean? Nothing was taken out from new packaging that signified it came out of a sterilizing machine. That grossed me out. Coming from a cosmetic background with a NJ state license, I know all the dirt and grim about salons. I was also asked if i wanted my feet razored. After I said no thank you, she removed it from a random draw anyway underneath the pedi station and it did not look clean at all. Not to mention that razoring feet is ILLEGAL. Pictures attached were at the drying station. Not so lovely to look at. To end on a good & positive note, the lady who did my toes was super gentle and did a really good job. Especially with the foot massage, very soft! Paint job was great. I had one concern and she was able to address it and make me comfortable. Ami was born to do nails. There isn't one design she can't do. Other reviews say the staff isn't friendly... I initially thought the same thing but after 3 years they are just busy and in their own worlds trying to keep our impatient behinds happy. They always remember you and the conversation picks up from where it left off. The only thing that made me give it 4 stars is that in the RARE event I go back to fix a nail... sometimes it takes a long while (longest forty minutes) and it kinda sucks because you have to pay a meter. Great salon! I moved to PA but before I did I would come here to get my nails done and they are fantastic! I had been coming here since I was in middle school and I am now 2 years out of college. I still come here some weekends for a pedicure with Rosa if I'm visiting home and in the area! Rosa is amazing and truly takes her time with you. Everyone there is great though. You truly can't go wrong with this salon! I highly recommend it. It does get busy, but that just goes to show how great of a salon it is. The wait is worth it! read more

This is my second visit here and I really like that the girls go to town on your feet. They don't just scrub lightly like some places leaving a lot of dead skin and callous. The wait is 15 -35 minutes if busy. Maria took care of me she is really nice and good at what she does. The massage chair is amazing! I don't want to leave because of it. read more

Upon sitting & waiting to be attended for a full set I scrolled through this salons ig & noticed how poorly shaped all the nails seemed to look, but against my better judgement I decided to get my nails done anyway. The man who did my nails did a TERRIBLE job at applying the acrylic, and I could already tell it would only be downhill from there. His eyes were glued to his phone literally the whole time he was applying the polish. Ultimately, my nails came out looking super wide & poorly done. Dirty, cluttered and just bad overall experience. It feels like these people don't care at all about their business or their customers. I always didn't think the people who work here are very personable. It's always a bad sign when you walk into a business and you feel like you're inconveniencing the employees with your presence! I have been coming here for almost 8 years and the first time I went, to Fashion Nails I got my nails done by some guy they hired, which by the way they don't do that any more. They are very careful who they hire. I remember when Mike was there T" & Ami's brother but he left with his wife and two kids, but he was very good.... Then T" came back from Texas, she told me, she had just moved back and I told her that I have been disappointed in the past with other people doing my nails, she had just said" just sit back relax and let me handle this, cause I got this....LOL That was almost 8 years ago and her son wasn't even a year old yet and now he is in 2 grade I think.... The only problem I have is that she is never available or has the time and sometimes I just can't wait because its been a while and I never know when i will have the time or a nail breaks or something happens the problem is she is always booked up so that must tell you just how good she is.... The problem with that is I want to be faithful to my nail girl but when I have an emergency, and she can fit me in for another week. I just can't wait I need it done fast... I am stuck with being faithful to my nail girl and and needing emergency fix.... I don't know what to do, sometimes in this case I think you need two places to get your nails done when your regular nail girl can't fit you in..... I am upset about this. Negative stars...do NOT go here...the girl literally burned the skin off my eye...I cried it hurt so bad...the skin is now raw....it burns and looks hideous, so I'm going to the doctor tomorrow....clearly the wax was way too hot....and the lady doing it had no clue what she was doing....so I told the owner and she had the nerve to try to give me a 10 dollar gift certificate as compensation? Ummm no sorry...not good enough....10 dollars free means I have to have services done there once again...no thanks I'll pass on getting my skin ripped off again....then the owner tried to put alcohol on the burn? I went to get a regular fill in yesterday afternoon and there was only one woman doing fill ins. Therefore she was in a rush to get them all done and when it was my turn she was very rough and didn't care about the quality of her work at all. My nail shape is called "coffin nails" & she messed up my shape completely. I have nail polish all over my cuticles an fingers. She cut me twice and it still hurts me today. The only reason I'm giving them a second star is because there was another woman there who was incredibly friendly and tried to make things a little bit less uncomfortable. Stopped going because they have roaches. It's ashame because they do a good job. When I got there they were scrubbing the floors with something, I thought if was because the salon had just opened up for the day. As I was getting my manicure finished up a giant roach ran across the floor. I told the nail tech & she just stepped on it & chuckled. I have been shopping around for a nail place for over a year. My pedicures have been lame & rushed and I don't usually get manicures. I decided to try this place out, I had the most thorough and amazing pedicure I have had in years. My heels and hardskin were buffed out and Anita even paid extra attention to my problem spots. She polished my toes thoroughly (tip to corner) and I actually walked out of there relaxed and fully satisfied I also decided to get a manicure by her which I also was very happy with. Ask for Anita...she was great! I took off one star for the uncleanliness. With the amount of customers in this place, they can afford to have somebody keep that place a bit clean. My total experience here with Fashion Nails has been nothing but great service. This place is constantly busy however, the owner took the time to accommodate me and made me feel comfortable. The service is phenomenal, and they are very friendly especially those spa pedicures . I had a pretty good experience here. I love the prices however!! gel and acrylics are so cheap here!! porbably the lowest price i've payed. The quality isn't the best though... although my acrylics lasted a while here, they looked super thick and fake, and I know most acrylic tips come out that way, but these were SUPER thick. Also wasn't too happy about the paint job. The whole experience felt a bit rushed. I also wish i could have understood what the lady was saying who did my nails. Her accent was very strong and i didnt always know what she was asking me so it made communicating with her very complicated.
