I usually don't leave negative reviews. I think this may be my first. I'll start by stating the positives. Salon's appearance is great. Min and the pedicure ladies are all pleasant. Perhaps the reason why I'm giving it a low rating is the owner. *A little advice for your business from an angry customer: lose the attitude and stop being a rip off. Significantly higher price than what I was quoted on the phone. And I mean significantly. No one seems to acknowledge you when u first walk in. The workers seem scared of the owner. Quoted phone price for a gel fill was 35. After getting the fill in I decided I want a design on my ring fingers. Didn't ask how much it would cost. I assumed it would be no more than 15 (prices are usually no more than 10). Check out amount was $65. Apparently the owner decided that the nail tech doing my design, use gel color for the color of the design. For an additional charge. How about asking me if I'm ok with the charge first before doing it?! What happened to using a regular polish for design like every other damn salon. When he saw I was a bit surprised at the amount, he said next time just ask for regular polish and u will be charged 35. Went in a few days ago for another fill in. Decided to go back because Min did such a great job. He wasn't there. Got stuck with the owner. After insisting that I get gel color, and I refused, she went back to her original attitude which I had not forgot from the first time. To top it off,she said I will need a new set the next time because my nails r "too thin" and she cannot put "too much gel". If that wasn't already enough, she pulled out one of my nails saying it needs to be removed and then charged me $10 for that one nail repair (which I did not ask her to redo) So ur a rip off and ur cheap? No thanks. U just lost a customer. The customer is your boss! Not the other way around. If the customer is not pleased,then ur not doing ur job well. All I need is a damn fill in. I'm not in for surgery. Im usually pretty simple. U give me what I need then I'm a happy customer. Not too picky at how well of a tech u r. As long as they last then I'm good. The guy who did my manicure spent more time shaping my nails than I've had at other nail salons. The girl who did my pedicure knicked the skin under my big toe and was so apologetic that I couldn't be mad (and I wasn't anyway). At the end of the pedicure they give you a brief massage. I'll probably go here again. It's super close to where I live and the prices were good. Make sure you check in to get 20% off if you've never been here. The staff was nice. Let me start by saying the nail salon looks nice on the inside. However, the owners are extremely aggressive with the hot towels. They don't ask you but instead just push you forward and put a hot towel on you. I believe this place is good for people who only wear their natural nails. I paid $80 for a full set with no designs or anything and 2 nails broke within 2 days of getting my nails done. I went back to get 1 fixed but then another nail broke later the next day. When I got my fill-in, the woman was quick but precise and really good. She knew what she was talking about. The good: It was a Saturday morning and I was a walk-in. I only waited about 5 minutes before they got started on my pedicure. I got UV gel nails (no design), and they have a great color selection. The nail tech was friendly and didn't make me feel rushed even though they get a lot of business I'm sure. The not-so-good: My pedicure was okay. Not great, but not bad. However, it chipped two days later and my pedicures usually last much longer. Also, I'm pretty sure they overcharged the heck outta me, ugh. When they said $120 (before tip!) for a regular pedicure and UV nails I just knew I was in an alternate universe. I tried to clarify the prices for the two services, but when the girl at the front desk told me that I was wrong I gave up (I hate being that person arguing over my bill). I won't be back, because I've found other places in Jersey that I much prefer, and at (literally) half the cost. But they were convenient when I was in a pinch and needed my nails done. read more

The guy who did my manicure didnt even soak my hands in warm water and just started removing the cuticles. Came in for the first time and this place is great! Very spacious and well kept. Pedicure was done very well, she (forgot her name sorry!) took her time with the cuticles and was very gentle. Julie is the best! She did the halloween manicure and paid so much attention to detail. I came in with a few pictures but she even went through her phone and the internet to find the best detailed ones. She was so nice and is truly amazing at nail art. I had the "pleasure" of being a customer at this so called "spa" to get my legs waxed. Normally, I wouldn't care to write a review about such a procedure as the whole concept makes most people cringe, but I just can't not review this crappy salon! I called to make an appointment on the same day and their schedule was clear (I should have taken this as a sign but it was a random thursday!!). I came in and the whole place had about 3 customers and 20 empty stations. There wasn't anyone at the front desk so I just spoke with one of the people doing someone's nails. She then left whatever she was doing and took me to a back room; apparently, she was my esthetician (I wonder what happened to the other customer). The room was tiny with really tacky decor. But that's beside the point as waxing isn't exactly a relaxing procedure. But, the table on which I was to lie down on was covered in what looked like a cheap plastic tablecloth. Then, my esthetician took some tissue paper wrapped around a sketchy looking pillow and stretched it out over it and told me to hop on. I was shocked as the tissue paper was clearly wrinkled beyond belief and in no way clean and fresh. Since it was just my lower legs and I was despereate to get them done, I went with the flow. She then insisted I lie down on top of the sketchy pillow covered in the not so fresh tissue paper. Gross. Unfortunately, this was not the worst part. She then proceeded to spread the wax using some odd device that was like a roll on except that the wax wasn't hot enough and she was ripping out my leg hairs while trying to spread the wax - it was super painful. I have a high tolerance for pain and I winced at least 4 or 5 times!!! In case all that wasn't bad enough, she left a ton of wax all over my legs and didn't even put any lotion over it so I was sticking to my skirt and shoes the rest of the afternoon. All in all, a terrible experience and I will never go back. Avoid at all cost, at least on the waxing service front. read more

Ok so here it goes: I normally do not like to complain about anything because every once in a while, someone has one of those days where they are too tired to come in to work and I get that. I love the work that they do. Especially with the chrome nail colors. This is one of the very few places that carries chrome colors on the area. I also love blingy nails. So I generally ask for a chrome color with a lot of stones (usually gold) and a lot of the big gold glitter. That has never been a problem. Here's the bad: Today I was asked what color I wanted my nails. In between everything, I had my nail technician, who also happens to be the owner, tell me that she was tired. I specifically asked for either a pearl color or a mermaid chrome color with big gold glitter on the tips. She specifically responded with "whatever you want." So if I ask you to do something and we get to the very end, and I ask for gold glitter, and I am a good tipper (I usually tip $20.00 or more because I believe in paying for your time), then please tell me why you told me not to get it done? The nail technician said "Don't get gold glitter because no one gets it done here and you already have chrome." Although I can appreciate your suggestion, I came to you to get something done that I have done before. I am not concerned about others do or think. I did not press the issue because there was another customer in there and I did not want to cause a scene. However, in the future, if you come to an agreement and you say you are willing to do something, then please follow through. This actually really upset me. My tip was very small today. But truth be told. I was angry and disappointed. I'm going somewhere else from now on. read more

I love this place. New owner took over and the place is being renovated. Clean and friendly! I am happy with my gel mani and pedi. I am very peculiar on how they do my nail especially. They did great job on shaping and cleaning cuticles. my nails look even better shape now. and colors are painted all the way in. I got so many complements! They have great selection of New gel colors. price is very reasonable for service you get. 32 for reg. mani and pedi. I got gel mani $25 + nail art^ ^ it has good parking space if you drive. I wanted to love this place. I got the best gel manicure ever across the street last month but that place is cramped and always packed so I try to avoid it. I went to blooming and the environment was great. There was no wait and the guy who did my nails was very nice, as was everyone else. However, ONE day after, my first nail chipped. (This is a gel manicure btw) I figured it was just my bad. The next day, 2 nails had peeled off completely and others were chipped. I dont work with my hands nor did I do any heavy cleaning or anything that would cause damage. I hate to say it because they were very nice people but this was the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I usually have a regular nail salon I go to for my gel/acrylic set. However, I wasn't in my home town and was in need of a fill in. Upon entering, the salon was clean and spacious. I was very pleased with the environment. I was greeted and simply asked for a fill in and told to sit down on the couch. Next I was asked to choose my color and was shown regular nail polish colors. I asked if they had gel colors and the woman who seemed to be the manager of the store gave me acrylic gel color sets to look at. Next I was seated and another lady began filing my nails for 30 minutes. After filing, she called over the other lady (who appeared to be the manager. The manager told me that they could not do my nails, because my set was lifting and they would have to do a new full set. I asked how much the price would be and she said 40. Next, they removed my old set. The lady working on my nails glued the acrylic to my nails, and glued two on my left thumb nail. I had to tell her it was two. After gluing and cutting down the acrylics (another 30 minutes), this lady (who seemed to be inexperienced) called over the manager again. This time, the manager stopped working on her customer to apply the gel to my nails. After doing that, she filed my nails (15 minutes.) the inexperienced lady resumed my nails, filing them and buffing them for an additional 40 minutes. Finally she painted my nails. After tipping, I went to be charged and was told the price would be 60. After asking the manager what the additional 20 dollar charge was for, she said "I told you 40 dollars because you asked me how much the full set would cost. The gel color is and additional 20" even though both woman knew I was getting a gel color. Not only was I uncomfortable from sitting in a bad position for over two hours, but my time and money was scammed and wasted. To make matters worse, the nail job was bad. Please see pictures. I gave this place a second chance again today. The first time lady said I needed a whole new set cause my nails were to thin and that cost $100. Place is big and clean but they rip you off. Most places charge $40 for a gel fill in which includes gel color too. This place charges $20 extra. Apparently everyone that comes in has to have a nail repaired which is another $10. Let me start out my saying the facility is very nice and clean. Also there's parking on site which is great for a busy metered parking street like Wood Ave.... however.. The woman who may or may not be the owner, who sits in the first chair has a really bad attitude. As a business owner it's wise to not roll your eyes or make unfriendly faces to someone who's paying for a service. As a consumer all I ask for is personalized customer service. You don't have to really care, but jesus you can put on a face to make me believe you care. First time getting a gel manicure, so I had no idea what to expect. They started to peel off within a week and now after a week and a half, are pretty much all chipped up or completely peeled off. My relative with experience getting this type of manicure told me that the polish may have been old or they didn't let it cure in the machine quite right. I get my nails done in Jersey City and have done so for the last 15 years however I live in Elizabeth so I figured since Justin is so good let me also give them a try. The salon also seems cleaner than the other salons in town. I've recommended this place to my friends and they all go regularly. I've always been satisfied with my pedicures and gel manicures.
