Im just disappointed in general I've been going here for quite some time and on Friday I went to go get my toes done gel then the next morning, not even 24 hours later 4 of my toes polish was completely off then I went on Saturday to fix them. I wake up on Sunday also with the rest that he didn't fix peeling off. I spent my hard earned money to do something nice for myself and for my birthday for them to come out peeling off not even 24 hours later. So I don't think I'll ever be going back. I've recently relocated and am looking for nail home. I made a 2pm Wednesday afternoon appointment, expecting no wait. I was barely greeted and sat for 45 minutes for a regular pedi and gel manicure. While waiting, I saw people chatting away with their nail techs. I was expecting a little of the same. Jenny was short and aggressive when doing my pedicure and nails. I'm not new to this. She tried to get me to do dip powder and acrylic. Been there, done that. I guess she was disappointed that she couldn't up-sell me. I've been getting my nails for the last 20 years in various salons in Manhattan. I can take limited chit chat but rude? I get home and see the polish on my thumb sliding off! I've NEVER seen that! On a busy Saturday solar nails was able to get me in at 10:30. I arrived 10 min early and was taken 5 min later. Judy did my pedicure and she was super sweet. Pedicure came out exactly as expected. Jennifer did my manicure with a cute design. It looked exactly like the picture I showed her. I also had no wait when I moved from the pedicure to manicure. It came to $75 for a gel mani (with design) and Pedi. This seems to be about the going rate so I can't complain. Everyone was super friendly and made me feel welcomed. I will definitely be back. They also take venmo and cashapp which allows you to leave a tip. read more

Let me start by saying I'm a long time customer here, over 10yrs I've been coming to this place, and mind you, I live in NYC and coming here is either a $25 1 1/2hr train ride OR a $20 in tolls and $10 at least in gas, but I do it gladly because I loved the services I get here. Except for one thing that happens over and over and over until this past week and I just can't do it any more. For the 4th time....YES I SAID FOURTH TIME...I get to Solar Nails early, after having confirmed with Amy my nail tech the day before..... only to sit there for about a half hour while they lie straight to my face and tell me she's on the way.... to then suddenly.... "she not coming, YOU COME BACK." Period. Nasty. Dismissive. Rude. As if MY TIME is worth nothing. I, who travel 40+ miles in NYC traffic, spend $30+ dollars on gas and tolls, and the attitude from the owner down is literally like "she not coming you reschedule" and I just lost my mind. My time is worth just as much as theirs and they could not give a f*#k about it. The appalling way they do business just stuns me. Amy, on the other hand was very apologetic, she texted my cell phone telling me she had a bad tooth ache for days....I was like FOR DAYS? I SPOKE TO YOU LAST NIGHT, at what point do you think to tell me you might not make it to work? THAT'S THE POINT YOU SUGGEST I RESCHEDULE....You could've texted me at 6am, 7am, 8am.... anything. But no. I drive all the way there, wait close to an hour while they lie to my face, then tell me she's not coming, only for Tommy the owner to convince me to stay and let him do my nails....BIG MISTAKE....he said "I charge you only 35 for your nails for your inconvenience, so I say OK...... again, big mistake... he rushed thru my nails, did an awful job, ran my credit card, didn't give me a receipt and I see after I got home...HE CHARGED ME $55....FULL PRICE....UNBELIEVABLE. I am gonna dispute this charge and I'm never going back. The fourth time they've done this to me it's really my own fault at this point but I love Amy. Do yourself a favor, if you don't work, have nowhere else to be & nothing better to do, and DON'T MIND BEING JERKED AROUND time wise, money wise, service wise, respect wise.... then BY ALL MEANS GO TO SOLAR NAILS. otherwise, keep your eye on the clock and GET YOUR RECEIPT.... cuz they'll tell you one price and charge you whatever the f*#k they want, while they look right in your face and lie to you. It was my first time coming here and the one who did my nails was so unprofessional and rude. He supposedly owned Bella Salon but now works here. He did not know what he was doing. He made my nails very chunky and uneven. They had looked worse than they do in this picture. When I told him I didn't like them in front of the owner he had a nasty ass attitude with me. I wish I could give them more stars!!! This is the best nail place in Woodbridge Township!!! Everyone is very friendly and you always get the same nail tech. Definitely make an appointment. If not, they may not be able to fit you in. Their prices are reasonable. I pay $60 for both acrylic and a pedicure. I go every 3 weeks and my nails always stay well. I never had problems with cracking, chipping or breaking. They do a great pedicure. I also get waxed as well. They have a nice little waxing room. They have tons of colors to choose from. The lady that does my nails always cuts them the way I want, which is a first. It's a very nice environment. I highly recommend!!! read more

Worst nail job ever! I noticed after I drove home that the lady who did my nails missed a whole section of my ring finger. So I had to drive back and she fixed it. I got my nails done on a Tuesday and today is Friday. I am driving home from work and notice my pinky nail has already chipped! I got a gel refill with gel polish, which is $40! That's a lot of money for nails to be chipping in less then a 2 week time span! My ring finger on my left hand looked like the refill was lifting up. I called to complain and went in to get it fixed. The guy was so rude and half assed the fix up job. He filed the ring finger nail that was lifting up and did a crappy paint job on my pinky nail. He seemed bothered that I wanted it fixed for free. I went here the first time. I was just a drop in for a manicure. And was told I have to wait ten minutes. No problem. But it turned into a half hour. My manicure was rushed and she didn't even push cuticles back or cut. A tiny bit rude also. I don't like to say that , but I feel like I went there to relax a bit, I never get my nails done more than a handful of times a year. The polish started to chip that night. As she globbed it on. I used to love coming here, but lately the quality just isn't there. The last time I got gel acrylics done here - it felt rushed, he missed a few areas on multiple nails, I noticed bubbles after I left and three of my nails even broke (I had asked to get a new set and he convinced me otherwise saying I didn't need one yet.. well I'd say otherwise now). When I went back to get the first nail fixed, he was nice enough to do it but I wasn't going to keep going back to get every nail and issue fixed so I just got them redone elsewhere. If i could give this place a big ZERO i would. First off... I walk in with a friend for a simple mani pedi, she gets the gel and I just go simple as I work in a hospital as a nursing student and cannot do much.... This lady starts off by trying old tools she used on the client before me...I asked her to fix it which she did so i let it go..She starts off rushing through cutting my nails and didnt even bother cleaning up the cuticle ...I ask her to correct it, she says she can't because I will bleed...I guess no other nail salons trim and clean cuticles then? Tell me how she says that she is done, and my nails are completely unevenly cut. Politely, I asked her to fix the length.Literally, this lady rudely goes "I have other nail appointments I dont have time for this" .... I dont understand is it because I wanted a simple $12 manicure? So she follows up by literally TOSSING her nail tools and going " IM NOT DOING THIS! " .... For which I follow up with her and ask for the owner to the salon, apparently she is but i doubt that. ok so I move on to my friends desk furious to just get out of there... The man doing her nails offers to do mine ( very kind thank you ) So i head back over to the nail polish station to try on a different color, this previous lady comes CHARGING to me and tells me not to use or touch her nail colors... I *no so nicely* told her someone else was taking care of me, she had nothing more to say and walked away. The man after a bit came over and told me there was nothing he could do to fix the way she cut my nails lol which i didn't' even think was possible, but it is. never returning here, will not ever be recommending this place to friends. read more
