I recently moved from Maplewood to Woodbridge and was looking for a new nail salon and stumbled upon this gem. As it was a bit slow, Amy took me immediately for a regular pedicure and Dip powder on my hands. For my pedicure, she used brand new tools right out of the package and loved how clean they were. I will say that if you're expecting an over the top scrub down on the bottom of your feet-- this may not be it but they still did a good job in other areas. Amy did follow through with a great foot massage which was greatly appreciated. As for my hands, her attention to details and loved how natural my hands turned out. She was efficient and fast too. I requested for Mei, the owner cuz she did a good job 1st time I came but this time felt rushed. She was pushing back my cuticles and made 2 of my fingers bleed from pushing it too back. Highly recommend this place! I made an appointment with my mom and unlike other nail salons I've been to, they actually stick to their appointment time without making us wait and linger. I believe they are by appointment only too so make sure to call ahead. There is free street parking in front of them too so parking was not too difficult. I ended up getting my nails done by Coco. She gave me a gel pedicure and dip powder manicure with tips and French manicure style (I got the neon tip idea from another customer who left a Yelp review here!). Coco was very patient and attended to all my desires and honestly, the entire experience was very pleasant. I know I can be pretty picky but she did the exact shape, color, design- everything!! Beautiful place, came here during covid19 times. They are taking extra safety precautions and also checking temperatures makes us feel more safer. First thing I wash my hands and wear a mask of course. This place is very clean and neat. Love the decorations. For the safety of everyone they have plastic around the technicians and all wearing masks for everyones safety. I came here to do dip powder nails (sns, gel powder some of us call it) which is $40.00 normal price. I am really picky of where I do my nails but I decided to give this place a try and would like to say I absoultely loved it. I would definitely consider coming here again and making it my usual go to place. I am also from staten island so I dont mind driving to go somewhere worth it. The owner is very friendly and they all make you feel welcome and also has a great sense of humour. Over all, Excellent customer service. Had been here a long time ago but I think it's changed owners since. Place is completely renovated, clean and beautiful inside. This isn't my "usual" place, but it's near my office so it's convenient for when I'm avoiding my commute home. Color gel manicure - $30. They have many colors to choose from which is a plus. I was very happy with my manicure and it lasted the full 2 weeks without any chipping. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Excellent service. I will be back! read more

Extremely unprofessional. I got a gel manicure which was barely worth the $37 cost. I made a reservation to get it removed and was told it would take 15 minutes. The reservation was for 6:00pm so I arrived at 5:55 and washed my hands and waited for my appointment time. Also, I had my backpack with me so I asked where I'd be sitting so I could leave it at my seat but the person at the counter just barked at me, "wash your hands " - still don't understand why that has to be said so rudely. So I washed my hands and sat at the station I was commanded to go to, but no one came so I asked about the delay and they said I had to wait. No explanation. So I asked how long I would have to wait and was told 15 minutes. I looked over at the employee who was scheduled to do my gel manicure removal and she working on another customer's pedicure. Based on the current stage of the pedicure, it was clear the wait would be much longer than 15 minutes, likely closer to 25-30 min. There was no apology about the delay, and no explanation until I asked for one. I was just barked at and told to sit and wait, very rudely, it was more like a command to a dog. I saw no reason to wait as long as the projected duration of the appointment for my actual appointment to start so I said I would go. And then the employee at the front desk shrugged and said "sorry". Very sincerely. I wish zero stars was an option. read more

Don't mind my short nails as I don't wear acrylic nails. I found this place after trying to go to another nail salon (without an appointment which was my fault). The customer service at this nail salon is great! I was accommodated that same day I went and only waited 15 mins for a gel manicure and pedicure. I've gone back for a second time now and everyone is nice and friendly. The salon is also clean and organized. I am actually pretty particular when it comes to manicures because so often I find the technicians don't thoroughly clean up my cuticles and nails. At this salon, I find that my technician spends time and effort at making sure my nails came out great. A bonus is that they gave me a coupon to come back and scheduled my next appointment. Terrible... so disappointed. Just moved to NJ and was looking for a place to do my nails. I decided to try la mei nails. The woman working on my nails finished everything so quickly that I immediately was suspicious of the quality. I did extensions and those usually take longer. And guess what? It is been a week since my nails were done... and I already lost 3 nails!!! And I paid 120 $ for this. I am definitely not going back and do not recommend the salon. I am so disappointed. I am hoping there is a good place in NJ to get a better service. read more

Have been a repeat customer since and even introduced my sister who is now a repeat customer as well. Visited after reopening two weeks ago & they're taking all COVID-19 precautions. I Am Extremely Dissapointed In La Mei Nails .I literally just got my nails Done On Tuesday The 10th of Jan .. and My one nail has already chiped I went in today thursday the 12th to see If they Can Fix the nail, and they Said they cant today. It is one Nail and they could have said give me a couple of minutes . I Would Have Waited. I Wouldnt have had to come back it it did not chip. I spent $77.00 for both pedi and Mani and for my nails to chip like this is crazy. Customer Service Is horrible. Will not be going again.You cant have people spend money on nails and then when you go in to get it fixed Not even act like helpful at all. Never had that experience ever. Had an appointment for a gel pedicure and UV gel manicure. I was searching for a new salon a bit closer to where I live so figured I'd try based off of the reviews. I would not recommend. The owner's (Mei) attitude was terrible and her and one of her staff members were unable to give me the stiletto shape nails I asked for. Earlier today I called and luckily I was able to book my appointment. The nail salon is new and tidy, you will like it when you are very particular in sanitation. Edwin and Mei, I think they were the owners, were very friendly and accommodating. Mei did a very great job in doing my nails, she took time and did not rush. I can tell that they do legit dipping powder manicure, unlike other nail salons, they skips some procedure. For parking, you can park either in front or at the back. I was greeted by everyone, which doesn't happen everywhere, taken at my appointment time and my nails were done meticulously well. Everyone there is so kind and personable. My mother in law and I have come here twice and received excellent service and pedis both times we came here. The owner, Ed, was very professional and friendly. The girl who did my pedicure, Peggy, did a great job. They don't half-ass pedicures and rush you like other nail salons do. They take the time to make sure you are receiving your money's worth. I usually have to go back home and scrub my feet a little more because other salons never scrub off the dead skin enough! I didn't have to do that after I left La Mei.
