My dip powder looked horrible. Some of my nails were not even fully covered with the dip. I asked for a gel pedicure and got a regular pedicure. This is a new salon in the area and I'm fairly new to the area. So, it only made sense to try them out versus the others and I'm so glad I did. I came into the salon as a walk-in, although you can make a scheduled appointment. You can expect to walk into the salon and be greeted by the front desk reception, which is a plus for me. In my experience, I was warmly greeted by one of the salon owners, at least I assume he is. His wife, the other owner, took the lead and walked me over to the pedicure chair. Her name is Mei ( I may have spelled it incorrectly) and she began working on my feet. She is skilled, neat and meticulous in her work. She took her time and polished my nails to perfection. During the pedicure, she also gave me a hot stone massage, which was really relaxing. My pedicure experience left me satisfied. If you're thinking about trying a new nail salon experience in the area, try this place out. You will also receive 10% off your service since the salon is new to the area. This was my first time at this salon and honestly it was G R E A T! I love the cleanliness, peacefulness, vibe, everything. The owner is super sweet & has a great sense of humor. They are taking all of the safety precautions due to COVID. My temperature was taken, filled out symptom questionnaire & was directed to wash my hands immediately before sitting down. I liked the fact that there was barely any people while I was there probably because they don't take walk-ins & it's just by appointment only. The music they have in the salon is calming and makes me feel like I'm in paradise honestly. I loved how my pedicure came out. I had multiple coats of polish applied which is great because usually other salons would apply 2 coats and you can still see my nail. This was a plus for me. I will come back here again. I came to La Mei nail salon after my daughter referred me after I had gone to another nail salon where they unfortunately had done a poor job at SNS. I was very happy with my gel nail manicure done at this salon. They helped me with getting rid of the SNS and tips. Mei worked on my nails and she was diligent and precise when working on my nails. This is my 4th time here and have always had a pretty good experience, however I recently came to get a color gel manicure and a fake nail on my thumb due to a crack in my real nail. During the service, I noticed it felt rushed and a few times the tech didn't wait until the UV lamp light was finished before removing it. I left and after a few days, the fake nail started to separate from my real nail, leaving a gap that collected dirt and dust that I couldn't clean out. Additionally, my entire right nails started bubbling up into an uneven, bumpy texture. Lastly, all my nails began lifting about 4-5 days after. When I returned, I was asked for either a refund or for them to redo my nails which were both refused. I was told that it was because I touched chemicals or bleach, which doesn't make sense because it was only on my nails of one side. She offered to fix my nails but only my right hand even though they were all lifting and getting stuck in my hair. I ended up having her remove all my polish and left. In this case, I would have appreciated a refund of some sort or for her to redo the nails since they were very poorly done. I am disappointed because I really did like this salon but the customer service is poor. read more

I walked in a whim while my phone screen was being repaired next door. I went in for a regular manicure and spent the whole time talking to the owner. He is so friendly and personable. This was the cleanest salon I have ever stepped into. Got my nails done here recently and booked an appointment with a friend. Both nail techs seemed to be unaware that they scheduled two girls for gel manicures. They had us both sit down and rushed us immediately. I was trying to choose a color and the nail tech immediately started cutting my cuticles without any prep (other than washing hands) no oil, no soaking. It hurt a lot and now my cuticles are very sensitive. She seemed annoyed when I wanted a bit more time trying to choose a color. They also buffered my nails with an electronic buffer, which I have never gotten done because I was only going to get a gel manicure. When I asked about it she seemed super annoyed and said it was the same as filing. It's been almost a week now and my nails seem to be really weak and chipping easily. I ended up getting a regular manicure because my nail tech went back to another customer since they double booked us. This place had such good reviews...expected better customer service. read more

I've gone back and forth with myself about writing this review! Last Saturday I went to la mei to get a fill and pedi. I called Friday afternoon to make this appointment I spoke with a man and he suggested try dip powder. I declined, tried it before and I was not impressed. When I arrived the shop was pretty and clean. Received my pedi first. The lady that did my pedi was ok. I was not overly impressed with it. Then the Same man I spoke with on the phone came over and spoke with me about dip powder and asked if I wanted to try it today. I declined again. He then went on & on about how it's so great and he even tried to get the customer sitting next to me to convince me to get it. I was very annoyed! He then gave me a color book to choose my dip. I never said I was going to do it. Dip powder is acrylic! Just colored! He also could not give me the health benefits of dip powder Because their are none! Once my pedi was done I walked over to a woman in the front to do my fill. She instantly asked me if I was doing dip. I said no. She began speaking in another Langue. Very rude! While she filled my nails she began to "cough" due to the acrylic bs! She also did not shape my nails how I wanted them! This place looks nice but I am not impressed! If you want to go only do dip powder then only offer that. Don't force it on your customers! Also the price they are charging for dip is ridiculous! Ladies do your research before doing dip there's no benefits! The guy at the desk is nice but way to sales driven. Update! The guy from the salon decided to call me this morning basically to argue! I'm new to this area and wanted to book a spa pedicure for me and my bf. We went there the day after Valentines. We walked in and this place was immaculate. They really adhere to the covid guidelines. Wellness check at the door and every station is partitioned off. We had Coco and Mei giving our pedicures. They were just wonderful. From beginning to end, it was a wonderful experience. This is coming from someone who is very self conscious of her feet. Coco made them so beautiful that I'm proud to be wearing sandals again.
