I've been coming here for haircuts since high school and this is the last time I'll ever go. 1. I called ahead to ask if they had time and they said yes. Only for me to walk in and have them unsure who's going to cut my hair for 10 min. Someone finally reluctantly agreed to cut it. 2. The woman who cut my hair was so rude. She took a phone call twice during the 15 min appt and kept making snide comments. You're in the service industry, why not keep the comments to yourself? 3. I'm not a demanding customer, just asked for 8 inches cut off and some layers. I ended up with choppy layers that I could've just cut myself. 4. The cut ended up being 28 dollars and I still tipped 20% on top of that but to be honest, she deserved 2%. Skip this place for haircuts seriously. read more

This was my worst threading experience yet. The woman kept trying to wax my upper lips and chin when I specifically asked for threading- I speak the local language so it wasn't a question of misunderstanding me. I'm not convinced she changed threads between customers - she had it looped around her neck because she was wearing a mask as she was very sick and had a fever I heard her tell another lady! Usually they unwrap the thread in front of you from the roll before threading- this woman already had it on when she started doing me. After she did mine I waited to see if she would break off the thread and re -loop for the next customer but she did not! The waxing area was so dirty with so much hair. After going here I'm seriously wondering if I need to get tested for hepatitis c. Their hygiene standards are very lax. DO NOT GO HERE. And oh my eyebrows look terrible, upper lip And chin still have lots of hairs and my underarms she waxed were raw and bleeding because the wax wasn't even hot. Worst place ever!! This is my go to place for my eye brows & upper lips!! It feels they almost cast magic spells while threading , it doesn't hurt at all!! Also all the sanitization requirement are bang on, they sanitize every station before/after every customer, takes your temperature before allowing you, sanitizes their hands before/after every service. They allow walk-ins, & on arrival they take your name & ask what service you want & would request you to wait & that way there is no confusion of who goes before/ after you in the line. However, for hair cut, facial etc, they need you to book an appointment. I recently did a hair wash & hair cut from Gloria , their hairstylist!! All the scissors , combs are dipped in a sanitizer filled jug and she is dipping it immediately post service too, so very hygienic that way.. Gloria did an amazing job with my hair giving me the much needed bounce and fringes with a nice steps on my hair!! Loved it & got so many compliments, will definitely go back to them time & again. Please look for Gloria if you want a hair cut, They are very affordable too, unlike other salons who charges on the basis of length of hair. I wanted to love this place. The prices are fantastic and some of the staff is rude. I treated my friends to a spa day. We got our nails, and eyebrows done. I we t back for a bikini wax and that's when the service went downhill. I honestly should have walked out. One woman was on the phone the entire time she was waxing me so unprofessional. I'm mad at myself for staying. Before the wax begins a second woman comes in and I'm thinking she's shadowing the other woman When one woman finished I mention it being quick and the woman says to me " we both come in because you enormous haha but it ok because you normal" Wtf?! HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF!!! The start is since I am forced by yelp. I have been going to this place for almost 8+ years now, but the professionalism of the ladies who work here has gone beyond bearable. They are constantly bitching about the other coworkers in the waxing room in Gujarati (I can understand the language), trying to have irrelevant conversations with customers during the service they provide and RUDE about the comments they make. During every visit i was trying to be calm about the situation, but this time i couldn't over see some things that happened. During my last service where I was getting my legs waxed, the ladies started off by bitching about some other coworkers who were not in the room, then they got into a heated argument on who knew about me better and took out that agitation on my legs. I was just so scared and worried where they would burn me. Then they don't have something called privacy, once during my waxing session for my legs/bikini which was already awkward with 2 ladies ,the third one walks in with a broom and then the 3 of them started joking around .This whole situation was so frustrating and uncomfortable. During my most recent service, where I was getting waxed the same shit happens, where they are engrossed in gossip more than focusing on the customer and then the lady tells me ,and I quote " I DID WHAT MY EYES CAN SEE,YOU CHECK AND TELL ME IF U WANT ME TO WAX AGAIN ''.they get offended if u ask them to double check their work. Then during my FACIAL Hour, the lady constantly kept trying to have a personal conversation which was obnoxious. She is not my family/friend, so I wasn't interested in listening /sharing any personal information, but she was just so persistent. All I wanted was to be in PEACE and finish my facial. And this is the situation almost most of the times. Then they apply a face pack and leave you with it for 30-40 mins and go attend other customers/have lunch or gossip in their break room and forget about you. SUGGESTIONS: * During Facials, please check if the customer prefers to listen to music and be at peace (the face muscles need to relax, that's the primary necessity during a facial) or have a nonstop nonsense conversation with a headache). * IF YOU DONT HAVE TIME ,DONT TAKE A CUSTOMER. * NO PERSONAL CALLS WHEN YOUR WITH A CUSTOMER. * Check with the CUSTOMER if they are comfortable with 2 people waxing them at the same time (it is really painful, and you should let them make that choice and not be pushy). * GIVE CUSTOMERS THEIR PRIVACY. read more

Unquote-my wife: Sonaldidi is just a magician with her work but a very polite and affable person. Attention to details is one of the pre-requisite for any beautician and timeliness is another. I never had a bad experience with this place until today. I went in to get my upper lip done and a simple hair cut. At first, the lady was rude and kept pausing to talk to other coworkers badly about the customers and other workers. During my cut, I asked her not to use the hair drier and yet she continued to blow dry my hair even after I asked three times for her not to. Then, after she finished my cut, I asked for it to be shorter and the entire time she complained about doing the entire process again. She said this wouldn't be a problem now because the owner was not there but if she was there would be a problem making my hair shorter. Then, after I paid & left a tip, she came up to my car and knocked on my window saying that they charged me incorrectly and that it was another couple of dollars. To give perspective, I only gotten my upper lip + a VERY simple cut (all I wanted was 5 inches shorter + straight) and had to pay in total around $30. Additionally, what I truly don't understand about the salon is that they require you to check your temperature when you walk in but there are workers that will not be wearing a mask when there are customers near them. The lack of professionalism and rudeness of the salon is the reason why I will not be coming back. read more

My first time here recommended by my really good friend! I came here to get my eyebrows done. It was a good job done but still a bit skeptical since my eyebrows are really very light and the person who did my eyebrows left it a bit thick which is fine. The shape is what made me a bit nervous.. i usually have my mom with me whenever i get my eyebrows done since she is pretty picky and knows what she is talking about but since she was out of the country, i decided to experiment and take a chance. I was looking for a place to get my eyebrows threaded while I happened to be on Oak Tree Road and found Twinkle Beauty Salon in a 'small' complex. Little wait time for a Sunday afternoon. Very organized; they take your name and the service you're requesting as soon as you walk in so it's guaranteed to go in order. I wasn't particularly pleased with my eyebrow job- while the staff is very friendly and the threading was pain free, it wasn't the cleanest job by any means. The $5 price point is cheaper than what I'd pay in my area so I wasn't ridiculously disappointed, but was generally let down with the job. read more

I give one star only because the place is clean and looks well organized. Other than that, this place is definitely not worth going to. I went in for threading and their prices are ridiculous. They are literally ripping their customers off. You can go to the other 50 salons around the area and get the same service for half the price. I've been coming here for at least 3 years now and am a satisfied customer. No matter who does my eyebrows, they do a consistently great and quick job. Even when it's busy, you usually don't have to wait tooo long. Only downside is you might end up in a chair without a headrest. Even though the threading of eyebrows and upper lips takes longer than getting it waxed, it is worth it to go get threading done. If you want your eyebrows chopped off then this is the place to go. I actually used to like this place but last night a lady that never does my eyebrows did them and they look horrific. In the beginning of the session I told the buffoon to leave them THICK to which she agreed. As she was doing them it kind of felt like she was taking off more than she needed to. As she was going to start on the other eyebrow I opened my eyes and wanted a mirror. I almost threw up. Then I showed my mom who was sitting in the waiting area and she agreed that way too much was taken off. I went to a different lady behind the cash register who has done my eyebrows in the past and told her I wanted her to finish my eyebrows and I don't want the other buffoon to finish them. When I asked this lady why did the buffoon take off so much hair? Her response was, "Maybe she got confused". Then she said she could "pencil it in". First of all, I'm indian and hairy. There should be NO REASON at all to pencil anything in if I have the hair for it WHICH BUFFOON TOOK OFF. Usually at the end when it's time to pay, I always get asked, "Do you want to leave a tip"? I was waiting for that so I could give a big hell no but this is the only time they've never asked me. They knew buffoon messed me up. I hate this place. read more

My wife had been going to this salon for almost three years now. Today's incident is the first one that she had experienced and did not like one bit. Unquote-my wife: Generally I get my stuff done by either Anju or Sonal. Today when I asked, Sonal was not available but Anju was. She came to my service gladly. But unlike other days I noticed something was amiss. One lady (who I later come to know as Jaggu ) started conversing loudly with other salon crew in Gujarati. I can recognize the tone as rude and sarcastic both. At some point in time Anju tried to stop that lady by saying that 'Customer is seeing and hearing' - she was rebutted with a threatening message 'woh jaane ke baad dekh lenge'! The only reason this lady had was that she was supposed to get my business, which I took to Anju. It's ok to be frustrated but maligning a customer because of that is not something that is acceptable. Here I should mention that I am very much happy with the salon and its other personnel. But one rotten apple can make the whole good batch go bad. So I will request the Salon and it's owners to arrage for on camera recording of the premises especially the interactions between the customers and the salon folks. The service still remains good but that in itself is not sufficient for the client's security and respect. read more

Clean place to get your eyebrows threaded by folks who know what they're doing. I came here after going to another place and getting my eyebrows butchered by another woman. Mita helped me by telling me how to regain my shape. She took the time to show me what she did and what I needed to do in order to get my eyebrows back to how I used to have them. Horrible customer service - there are two catty women that just talk behind the counter and barely do any work. The owner seems to encourage this kind of behavior because when I came in one day and Catty Lady #1 does my eyebrows, she pauses in the middle, picks up her phone and starts talking.... Then comes back, still gossiping and talking to the other women across the room, half concentrating on my eyebrows. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded for around 7 years now, and this is one of the best places I've been to in NJ. I currently live in Philly, and purposely try to wait until I can make it back to Jersey to get my eyebrows threaded (due to price, quality, etc). I tried this place for the first time today, and loved the outcome. My boyfriend and I entered the salon, and were immediately greeted by several friendly women who worked there. They took our names down, seated us within the minute, and asked us both what we wanted before beginning. I explained to her that I've been growing my eyebrows out for the last month or so to fix the outcome of the last threading I had done in Philly (way too thin, uneven, not matching) and asked her to clean them up and make them match.
