I would like to preface this review by saying that I don't write reviews often, but my experience…read morewas so unpleasant and poor, that I felt obligated to write a review. I brought my daughter in for an eyebrow wax with Daisy at the Metuchen Center and it was bad from the start. From the moment she opened the door, Daisy exhibited an extremely rude and unfriendly attitude. When she was waxing my daughter, she made no attempt at pleasant conversation and completely ignored my daughter when my daughter specified how she wanted her eyebrows done. It was a very uncomfortable situation, and when I complained directly to Daisy mid-wax, telling her we were going to leave, she was extremely unapologetic. When Daisy was waxing my daughter, her actual skill was poor, waxing in a very unprofessional and honestly bad way. My daughter is 15 and has been waxing for years, and only with Daisy did she feel pain, and Daisy blamed it on HER, asking her if she didn't go often! Nerve! Daisy did an awful job, with my daughter's eyebrows coming out uneven - but we were too nervous to ask Daisy to touch them up! Daisy treated my young daughter terribly and had a very bad attitude. At the end of the wax, Daisy didn't even clean my daughter up, leaving little droplets of blood on her face. We are very disappointed with our experience and feel that we were treated wrong!

Her presence is so welcoming and we had just met each other today, but it felt like we already knew each other. Her studio has a modern aesthetic with a little waiting area before you get called in. Mints and chocolate as well. If it's your first time waxing don't be scared and don't listen to the exaggerated media. You'll be too busy talking to even remember that your Coochie lips just got ripped off lol. Her prices are very reasonable compared other chain wax Studios. She told me today she runs specials and there is currently a Valentine's Day special. Making appointments is super easy, you can do it online. Select a day and a time that is available and you're all set. Anyways, if you're looking to get a wax of any sort, I would highly recommend Anna. Also as a PS I am insecure about my vagina and I'm not one to drop my pants freely. It was never about the pain for me. It was about the vulnerability. I felt so safe and calm. Again this experience is everything somebody self-conscious could dream about. I already booked my next appointment. Thank you Anna

She was super thorough and seems to really enjoy what she's doing. I was actually not too happy with my last few threading sessions here, but this changes everything. I'll have to call in advance and make sure Sona is available from now onwards!! It's been a challenge to find a good, affordable and trust-worthy salon since I moved to NJ a little over a year ago. Until I found this gem-albeit further from home than I would have preferred. I still choose to go here. The lady that does my eyebrows is quick and she listens to what I want, instead of just doing a standard job. The facials are super relaxing and really make a difference to my skin. And I finally gathered up the courage to let Jenny cut my hair and boy, am I glad I did! I absolutely love it. I told her what I needed from the cut, and then gave her freedom to do what she needed. She just knew what would suit me while keeping it a good length and making sure it's light (like I asked)! I'm so glad I found this place, and I hope my review helps others find it too! :)

Small check-in waiting area but open to the rest of the business. Ellie was a beast at my UV gel fill-in. I wish I'd have taken photos right away, but here's my mani at a week old. I returned today, a week later for a gentle microdermabrasion facial I booked with Christie and was serviced right on time. The spa rooms are in the back of the salon and the area is separated by a lace curtain. Once in the facial room, it felt like any other spa, not like a strip mall nail salon. Christie was professional, and excellent in providing the service. The added bonus of the shoulder, back and décolleté massage while the collagen mask baked was A+. I did need minor extraction and she was able to do them without using any tools. If I were a local, this would be my primary salon for nail and body care. Thank you Ellie and Christine! --four stars because the pedicure service has a few issues. Communication with the tech was a bit off-putting. I'm sure I'll have a better outcome.
