In the meantime, I needed to get a fade on the side and back of my head so my top can grow. I'm nervous going to a barber shop for a few reasons. I've read online reviews at this place and my husband also comes here every month. There's about 6 or 7 guys who works here and they are always packed with customers. Generally, I'm told most of the barbers here are really good with the clips but my husband did tell me that Dilson seems to have the most customers returning back and requesting his service. I've decided to request Dilson. I told him what I wanted and he did just that and at each stage, he's telling me what he will do and stopped to ask if I wanted him to do other shavings and shape ups. Long story short, I got what I wanted and he made me felt very comfortable. I will definitely come back and will seek for him again. The parking here is really tight and limited. The shop is small. When you come inside, you are to select your barber on a computer screen. If you don't care who to serve you, you can select whoever is next available. Once you enter your selection, you get a printed receipt with a number so you can wait to be called for your turn. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and they were busy so I can just imagine the number of customers coming here over the weekend. If you can come during the weekdays, I highly recommend.

The place is so clean, and has an intimate feel to it unlike the chain salons where it can get pretty noisy. Lina is the owner and the only hairdresser there so you will be the only client during your appointment. I like that privacy. She is an experienced hairdresser and absolutely knows what she is doing. She has given me advice about the correct way to style and care for my hair. I am very comfortable asking her questions because that is the kind of person she is. I told my husband (who is very particular about his haircuts) about her and he, also have been going to Lina for haircuts since. She works in her own studio. She is so attentive to her clients and has a great sense of style. Her prices are very reasonable and her small salon is as clean as a whistle. She also uses good quality products. In addition to cuts and color (for both men and women), she also does Keratin treatments, perms, and highlights. One thing that I especially appreciate about this place ---- if you ask about a cut that might not look well on you, Lina will always offer her honest opinion first. She is a pro with long experience and will point out things that you may not have considered. I have been to so many salons in NY and NJ. At last I have found the right cut and color for my hair.
