Juan was amazing with my 5 year old (who couldn't sit still in the beginning). Juan always gave my son a great haircut and line up!! Overall: Since I always brought my two boys, together, I tried (in total); 6 barbers. Overall, only 1 barber was bad. Luckily, it didn't turn out terrible because the manager stepped in and fixed the haircut. The entire staff is always pleasant and polite. Juan was the barber who made us repeat customers until we moved out of state.

These guys are great at what they do. You book an appointment so you get to skip that hassle of walking in and waiting. But if you're in a hurry you can stop by and discuss doing a walk in with them too, very flexible team. Cut is always clean too, they use hot towels, straight razors, the whole nine. The owner and Master Barber who studied with Europe's most prestigious barbers, Karena Bertolli started out in NYC back in 2016 with the Art of Shaving where she cut men's hair and gave full grooming, and custom shaves including straight razor to her banker and broker clients on Wall Street.. Karena prides herself on giving a traditional English grooming experience. My bf received a really nice scissor haircut. She put hot towels on his face and used English products on his hair which smelled wonderful. The shop itself is unique. It's broken down into several sections. Each section has two sinks and two beautiful European antique world crafted style Barber chairs per section. This barber shop offers traditional haircuts, buzz cuts, fades, beard trims, and hot lather straight razor shaves, and straight razor head shaves.They also cut kids hair, and can do designs. Amir, Adam, Francie, and the rest of the staff are not only excellent barbers but really nice people. To, me people skills are very important and I like the friendly greeting I get whenever I walk in the door. I also feel that they (particularly my guy Adam) do an outstanding job. The price was very reasonable, too ($15). So, I probably would have rated Park Ave Barber Shop much higher, if it hadn't been for two things. First, they used some sort of lotion-type substance instead of shaving cream when they used the straight razor. Normally, I wouldn't care about something like that, but I ended up with razor burn, and getting a little nicked up on the edges of the right side of my face. So, I guess I would suggest using regular shaving cream. Also, I feel like they took a little too much off when they were shaping up the lines around my forehead and sideburns. I feel like you should just take off the minimum necessary in order to get a clean, straight line; and no more. I might be back. I might not. We'll see.
