Do not go here!!!! The day after I went to this barber I had the most horrible razor bumps that I have ever had in my life. I used to get hair cuts once a week and diddnt get bumps like this. I called and the people on the phone refused to acknowledge that the clippers were either dull or the barber was too rough. I understand that I have different hair than their usual customers but they should be trained to take care of this. And like I said I used to get haircuts every week from some of the roughest millitary barbers out there and this never happened. I was upset about the unsightly bumps on the back of my neck. I have been going here for my haircuts every couple of weeks for months now and Nieves has always done an amazing job. I am very particular about who I let cut my hair and I have never left disappointed after she has cut my hair. She's quick and pleasant and my cut is always exactly what I ask for. The shop is clean and bright and even when it is busy the wait isn't long. I highly recommend this shop. read more

I decided that one of my Christmas errands was to get a haircut at Klean Kutz II. I frequently passed their previous location but every time I wanted to stop there was no parking. I passed the new location on Tuesday and the parking was great so I stopped. Great friendly welcome from everyone in the shop. And it's a great shop; very open,. clean and all good equipment. I don't require much because I have no hair. So why go in? Well I have stubble that I cannot correctly shave myself. But the young lady who took care of me knew exactly what to do. She shaved me, clipped me and made my bald head shine. She used the razor to clean my neck and to shave my face and I was as smooth as a baby's bottom. She treated my bald head and face with a wonderful moisturizer. And the grand finale was a hot towel just like the barbers in the old days. It was a wonderful experience from the time I walked in the door. Guys do yourself a favor and go to KLEAN KUTZ II for a haircut. I will tell you it was not inexpensive but in mho worth every dollar. The girls in this location don't listen and they don't know how to do men's haircuts. If you don't know what a fade is you shouldn't be cutting hair. Extremely bad attitude. read more

I have been here twice recently. The women are so unfriendly and act like you're an inconvenience. I went right at opening today. The woman obviously didn't want to start her day yet so, I asked if it was too early. She didn't say one word. She just went to the chair and gave me an angry look. I asked again to be polite , "you sure it's not too early". She responded with, "What do you want?" I was hesitant but let her give me a cut. She rushed through it. Didn't ask my thoughts or anything. I originally was going to get my beard touched up but, didn't even bother asking her to do anything else. I was just happy to get away from this monster. I felt so uncomfortable. I will definitely not return a third time. It's a shame because I never had a bad experience at the South Plainfield location. They are always very friendly. read more

To the owner that is very nice and knows me...... don't know her name but she has been there for years ( how is beyond me ) . Her chair is closest to the window !!!! Ok so I don't know if she hates me or her job but holy cow is she rude and " whatever" about cutting . Basically says WHAT YOU WANT ???!!!!!!!. Take 3 mins to finish and watches TV as she cuts . My man do something about her as I was just randomly talking one day to a guy about cuts and we both ended up laughing at how our stories are striking similar with this barber . Good luck read more

Worst Barber/Hairstylist I've ever had the displeasure of going to. Like most of the reviews here, the one woman has a GIGANTIC chip on her shoulder and shouldn't have any type of position that requires her having to deal with any other human being. She might try her luck with dog grooming but they'll probably sense her attitude and end up biting her. She also cuts hair like it's a damned race! Hell, I don't even care if she has an attitude if she was good at her job, but she's terrible!!! The second woman here is without doubt the slowest person on the planet and even with taking her damned time she is even worse then the first woman when it comes to haircuts. My one side-burn was an full inch longer then the other. When I brought this to her attention, it took her 3 attempts to get them equal and each time I had to TELL HER it was uneven. Is she blind? All this can be yours for just $16 for a Men's haircut... They could pay me the $16 and I still wouldn't go! read more

Yikes, Just had a hair cut and partial shave by nurse Ratchet. The only time the girl spoke in English was to ask "how short I wanted it". Very rough with the clipper and rougher with the blade and electric shaver. My under chin and neck front and back are terribly chaffed now and still on fire after 5 hours, a shower and a hand full of powder. Dull Blades and a rough touch make for a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE. ...Run away from this place...Better off letting the guy at the lawnmower shop do the hair cut. read more
