Toddler Haircut: Great Price: OK The lady who cut my toddlers hair did a very good job. She was gentle and didn't mess up even though my son moved at times. The price was a little higher than I expected to pay and due to the fact that I will be using a different barber shop (who also does a great job). I generally go to a salon, but I had to try this place since I had a shave in mind. The place is small but cozy, very clean and friendly. There is plenty of parking and the waiting seats are very comfortable! I only waited about 10 minutes because I went very early on a Sunday. I have to give Pete (barber) some props, he was very friendly and made sure he checked in with me before, during and after the shave. Ohh....also, and very important, he uses really good products and didn't leave me all itchy with hair! High five on that one! I left a happy customer and will be back for a touch up! Great place; all new and clean, with vintage refurbished barber chairs. Got a great cut and shave. Been going to Middlesex for years (on again/off again) but followed Pete to South Plainfield. I was pressed for time, heading to an event and couldn't go to my regular barber. So I decided to give this shop a try and now I have to wear a hat for three weeks. Worst hair cut I ever received. I asked for a skin tight fade and what I got was a very uneven shave!! No gradual fade. Just hair and no hair. With one side higher then the other of course. The only thing positive I can say about this experience is that I learned a very valuable lessen. That is to just wait until I get to my normal barber. read more

Worst haircut ever. It was cut all wrong. All I needed was #2 on the sides & back and transitioned to a little longer at on the top. I only got the #2 on the sides and then an uneven, long but not transitioned rest of my head. The top back was long, the front top was long, the middle top was almost right, between the top and the #2 sides I ended up with poorly cut hair. She applied conditioner to my hair mid haircut while my hair was mildly damp. Put product in my hair before finishing the haircut and then proceeded to cut more off the top afterwards. This all happened while she stood behind me between myself and the mirror. Do not go here. read more

Just had to write a review after my last cut at Klean Kutz. I have been going since they opened and always have gotten great cuts and treatment no matter what miracles this balding man may ask for. Pete who is in the first chair and the only male does a stand up job all the time. Today he wasn't there so I had Francia do my hair. She is the third chair from the window. I showed her what I try to do with my hair so it looked less thin and she took note. She asked me what number and started her art work. She faded away and the end result was fantastic. Even though my hair is thinning she performed magic to make it look like the thin part was just as full as the rest of my head. Top quality cut and attention to what a customer wanted. Thank you very much. Three out of the four barbers that are there have cut my hair and it comes out great every time. I am sure the remaining one is awesome also or she wouldn't be there. Very happy I gave this place a chance. The name doesn't accurately represent the old barber shop feel of the inside. This interior is high quality and the staff is very friendly. I got a great haircut. They don't take debit cards or I would have reviewed higher. They will have an ATM inside soon. Hot towel is great as most places don't do that.
