I have been coming to this barber shop/hair salon for a long time now and it is one of the best in town. Cleanliness: The place is always clean and they take your temperature and sanitize your hands before proceeding. Pricing: The price here is decent compared to other places around the town. It is definitely worth the price that you pay. Appointments: Making appointments here is very easy at this location and is convenient. The young girl does a very good job in handling the appointments and does an amazing job washing your hair that it feels like a massage. Service: The barber does a wonderful job cutting my hair to the way that I want it unlike other barber shops/hair salons. When you ask him to change your hairstyle; he changes it perfectly so you love it. Overall: This is a great place to get your hair cut because cheaper is not always better in this town. On recommendation of my friend, I made an appointment with Jason because my usual hair stylist was booked through the end of December. (Making an appointment with Jason was super easy via text!) I originally wanted to get just a haircut because I was visiting from out-of-state, but I ended up deciding last minute to also get my hair colored. Jason was able to accommodate my last-minute request only 2 days prior to my originally scheduled haircut appointment. Jason made sure to ask and understand exactly what I wanted in terms of color and cut. It took only one 6-hour session to change my dark brown hair into a beautiful ash blonde balayage. I made sure to emphasize that I wanted cooler hues rather than warm tones. And the final look definitely surpassed my expectations. While I've gotten my hair colored in the past by other stylists, the ash blonde color that Jason created is my favorite by far. I also appreciated that he made sure my hair wasn't damaged by the bleaching process, even though it was double-bleached. My hair is still soft and healthy. Jason was also very meticulous in creating the perfect haircut. I got my hair layered, with face-framing pieces. Pricing will vary based on the request, but my specific cut & color was $420. Cash is preferred, since credit cards have an additional 3.25% surcharge. There is an ATM available in store (i.e. Hairsee) that only charges $1.50 per transaction. Jason is so overrated and so overpriced. First, the lack of cleanliness is appalling. Jason is too cheap to use a clean smock to put over you. The one he put on me was covered in other ppl's hair and wet from other ppl's wet hair. I literally got head lice from this. Second, Jason's hair cutting skills are so amateurish that he dropped the comb on the hair-laden floor. He then picked up the comb off the dirty floor and used it to continue cutting my hair. For layering, he was too lazy to section my hair. Third, when I arrived, henever bothered to introduce himself. He just flatly said, " What do you want?" Fourth, he was barely concentrating on my hair while cutting it. He was more interested in carrying on a conversation with his co-workers in Chinese. Hands down this is the worst and filthiest place I ever got my hair cut. read more

Jason is awesome!! He has been my go-to stylist for the last 10+ years. I have tried other stylists and even be my own :p here and there but always ended up going back to him. He is super friendly, knowledgable, professional, and does what's best based on your hair type and NOT based on what's trendy (which I love!). He has helped me dyed my hair purple because I wanted something fun and has also given me many practical but great haircuts throughout the years. I usually bring in a photo or two of what I kinda want and he knows how to adjust the cut for my hair type. He always spends at least an hour (sometimes two!) cutting my hair because he is very meticulous and pays lots of attention to details. I used to get my hair cut at many different salons ranging from super cheap to really expensive salons and never walked out satisfied. Only one time I was happy at an Asian salon in Queens NY so I decided to try an Asian salon close to me and I'm super happy I found this place. The lady who washed my hair did a good job and jason chopped off roughly 6 inches of my hair and took his time. Jason was very honest and upfront that because of the tone I had, he might not get my hair to that exact shade but he would do his best...then he proceeded to far exceed my expectations.
