Their service is middle of the road and overpriced for the service they offer. You will understand what I mean as you read on. I booked a brow wax / tint and lash lift. I expected a consultation to map my brows and explain the lash lift process to me and there was none of that. Upon entering, they checked if I had an appointment and took me right away. My aesthetician was Jackeline. I explained this was my first time getting a lash lift and brow tint. There was no introduction to the actual process. I was told to lie down and her fingers where on my lashes immediately. I had to ask her what is happening now? What is the next step? Do I keep my eyes closed? Another worker came to Jackeline to explain that there was some sort of issue that had nothing to do with me while Jackeline had her fingers in my eyes. Anxiety came over me and I had to set my boundary. I asked the worker to please stop talking to Jackeline while she was working on me because I have a lot of anxiety right now. There was a little bit of awkward silence and Jackeline explained that she would take care of whatever issue there was later. My eyes were closed so I haven't a clue what type of body language was used in order for them to communicate. I hope none. She continued working on me and doing all the things. I had one 10 minute wait and then she came back. Then, there was another 10 minute wait and she came back to finish it off. I did like the way the lash lift came out, but wish I could've explained to her that I didn't want them to stick straight up, but instead wanted them to sit more like a cat eye look. If there was more communication in the beginning, like an actual consultation, that would've come to light. Then, since she saw I already had a bit of anxiety, she did my eyebrows in another room while I was sitting down. I would've been ok laying down for the eyebrows. What gave me anxiety was her fingers in my eyes while she was multitasking having a conversation with another worker. I told her I wanted her to shape my eyebrows since I had been letting them grow in. She did no such thing. She kept my natural shape. She began to fill in the brows with henna ink which I thought was cool because it's not a permanent thing. If I don't like it, I know it will eventually go away. Once she was done filling my brows she waxed using honey bee wax w/ cloth strip and I felt my skin rip away. I didn't say anything because there was absolutely nothing that can be done at the moment. I felt like she left one brow a little darker than the other. One was longer than the other. I had to voice that and she fixed it. Again, there was no eyebrow mapping. She was eyeing the whole process. She left me with some wax in my brow and I had to go back after I paid (and tipped her) to get it removed without harming my skin.
The reason I believe their services are overpriced is:
1. The wax should be replaced with something of better quality as to not harm the skin.
2. They should be thoroughly inspecting the work afterwards to ensure your skin is not harmed and no wax is left behind.
3. Their customer service skills needs tweaking. There should be an introduction to the aesthetician. A consultation on what better suits the clients needs. An explanation of the entire process before their hands touch your face, and an aftercare information packet to take home with you.
4. Workers should not be interrupting the aestheticians while they are with a client.
So, all in all, I wouldn't say to not go to this place because the work isn't absolutely terrible. I believe they need some work on the process and transparency on what you will experience during and after the process.
Jackeline was not rude to me. She was kind, very quiet and soft spoken.
I've attached photos of what they looked like immediately after (with mask on) and the morning after the process (maskless). read more
