I have had excellent services here. Recently I had the pleasure of seeing Ava again to do two facial waxing services. Besides being very personable and knowledgeable, she does the job quickly, yet I never feel rushed. She takes the time to explain and the transition between applications is smooth. Ava is very thorough and checks that everything is removed to the customers satisfaction resulting in smooth skin. The receptionist was very pleasant and the studio is spotless throughout. I love the fact that they have "hard wax" for my sensitive skin. It is worth a trip here and parking is easy! read more

I went in for a wax on December 23rd and left really uncomfortable. At the end of my appointment, my waxer started showing me unsolicited texts and a meme from her husband, both containing antisemitic stereotypes. I never asked to see any of this, and it wasn't related to our conversation at all. It was totally inappropriate. I called the salon the next day to speak to a manager and was told she'd be back a week later. I called back when they said to, left my info again, and still haven't heard from anyone--and now it's almost two weeks later. Between the inappropriate service and the lack of follow-up, I wouldn't recommend this salon. read more

Great place! Very clean and everyone is so nice! Christina is very efficient and really takes pride in her work. My eyebrows and lip always look great. read more

I would give more stars if I could! Words cannot describe how much my expectations were exceeded. I was very nervous for my first full Brazilian especially as a trans person but the staff was incredible and made me feel safe and welcomed. Michele is the absolute BEST and great to talk to. We went over our time but she never made me feel like we had to rush. The kindness and attention to detail is incredible. I don't remember their names but the girls at the front desk are great too! They explained the membership options really well and we had great small talk. At first this was a bucket list item for me but I decided to book my next 2 sessions already. This is the place to go!!! read more

Got serviced by Michelle and she was the best!! Came in for a Brazilian and the pain was minimal. She was super nice and we had a great conversation in the 20 minutes that I was there. The energy was great, everyone was super friendly and sweet. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I have seen Shida, Jessica, Kristy, and Michelle...and they have all been amazing! Amanda at the front desk is sweet as pie and always answers questions and books my appointments with no problems. The text reminders are helpful. Changing appointments is easy when you need to. read more

Waxing The City - Waxing Near Me - Clark, New Jersey

Really great place for waxing. 20% off if it's your first time. Everyone was nice and friendly! I will be back.

I love the services here! 1st day back post-covid. I love the cerologists. Christina is a sweetheart! The manager was in her office on her speakerphone with the door open. Very distracting, in my opinion. read more

Never again. Christina the manager has a terrible attitude, took her 6 days to get back to me and she only called in response to my review which was negative. Communication at this studio is horrendous. I finally got a hold of her today and she would not let me finish explaining my concerns, just kept cutting me off, meanwhile I have been waiting to speak to her for nearly a week. I had an issue with a coupon and I wanted to provide constructive critique as to how I believe the issue could have been avoided for future clients, I wasn't even pushing for the coupon to be applied, just providing feedback but the manager Christina could not help but to get defensive and rude. She said "you know what ill have my boss call you" and hung up on me, and proceeded to ignore my phone call back where I was trying to find out what the boss' name was and when I can expect a call back. My second issue was despite pointing out that both my upper thighs had spots that were not waxed during my visit, I still have an 8 inch wide patch of hair on my upper thigh. And my hair was fully grown on this appointment. All I wanted was to tell this to the manager so it could be resolved but we didnt get that far due to her being too cranky to get through a 2 minute phone call. A manager is a reflection of the studio, and there is no excuse for talking over and interrupting a customer from communicating issues effectively. Now that I have experienced the poor leadership at the Clark, NJ location, that explains why the receptionist was so nonchalant and not helpful when I brought up the issue after the service. read more

I'm back with another review! Let's start off by saying, due to my wacky schedule changes, I began going to a new cerologist at "Waxing The City" a few months ago. As you can imagine, this is review is LONG OVERDUE! We ALL know how scary, uncomfortable and/or intimidating it is to change cerologists. Mainly because you're unsure of the service you will receive. Waxing the City has been so great to me. So thank you for your service and thank you for this particular cerologist. SHIDA......................is absolutely AMAZINGGGGGGGG! Since day ONE, Shida has been a true professional! A MASTER at her craft! Every single wax appointment, I leave feeling like a New Woman, or as one would say, SMOOTH and Hair-free as can be , LOL. She is meticulous and precise, leaving no surface untouched and unattended to. She is extremely knowledgeable and honest, especially when asked about services offered and products. She is also an impeccable conversationalist, not to mention very veryyyy personable. She literally makes you feel relaxed, comfortable and confident in her ability to provide the best service imaginable. Her work space is spotless, always! If you are someone who pays attention to cleanliness, like I do, you'll be happy to know, you're in good hands. #SANITATIONISLIFE LOL So when I say I feel like a "NEW WOMAN", I feel like I can take over the WORLD (as dramatic as it sounds, I know someone will understand the feeling lol). If you are NEW to waxing, Shida is who you want to see. If you've been waxing for a long time and want to change cerologists, Shida is who you want to see. Because she is truly a gem! And Professional, is an understatement. In a nutshell, Shida is literally the bomb.com!! THANK YOU SHIDA FOR SUCH EPIC WAXING & FOR BEING THE BEST CEROLOGIST!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE YOU GUYS 10 STARS, but I can't so 5 will do lol. read more

I arrived to my appointment at 1:30, as scheduled. The lady in the front desk told me: "she will be with you soon". After waiting for 20 minutes I stood up and asked how longer should I continue waiting. Then she stood up to ask , and the serologist came out and said it will take about an hour!!! Why did they schedule me then?? So the front lady said let's wait for another one who will finish in a minute. I wait again 10 more minutes. The lady said she needed to clean up the room 5 minutes. Finally after waiting 35 minutes I left because I could not continue waiting. Worst experience, front desk not empathetic, and a totally waste of time. So dissatisfied with this location, I will never ever come back or recommend it. read more

Another FANTASTIC service! I have been with WTC for 2 years now. My regular person was not available today. However I gotten the chance to meet Jessica! Jessica was awesome, she cleaned me up very well. She was gentle. And great conversationalist I was distracted from the pain, I didn't feel a thing! Thank you Jessica read more

I wanted to add; Michelle is great as well! I will be unable to see Natalie for a while due to her leave of absence and saw Michelle for a service and was very pleased. Thanks Michelle! read more

They're always friendly and professional! I like how my questions and concerns are addressed.

I went in for an eyebrow wax and it was my first time. Everyone was nice and friendly. The women that did my eyebrows said she had been there for a while and seemed like she knew what she was doing so I wasn't worried. Usually after every wax or thread with my eyebrows it tends to get pink and go away. When I got home it felt like my eyebrows were on fire and it looked like the women had burned my skin off. I waited it out a few hours later and began to scabbing. Very disappointed for a 25$ eyebrow wax. Would never recommend going here at all! read more

Waxing The City - Eye brows waxed horribly - Waxing Near Me - Clark, New Jersey

I was greeted with smiles by Cindy and she answered all my questions. I was very nervous it being my first time. Michelle was amazing. She listened to my concerns and fears before she started. I felt like I knew her for years. Painless and quick Brazilian wax. I highly recommend her. read more

If I could give more stars, I would. MICHELLE was absolutely amazing. I have never been waxed below the neck so this was a big event for me! I went with the full buttocks. The location has plenty of parking and was extremely clean inside. Michelle was very calming and down to Earth. She let me nervous ramble about my whole life story (ha!) so we had some laughs. Already made my next appointment and will include a full Brazilian. Looking forward to making a regular appearance for all my waxing needs. read more

I recently drove by this place and thought I'd give it a try. Diamond was my 'cerologist' aka waxer and she was wonderful. They also have all these little add on services. I got the lip and eye mask during my services. They are reasonably priced and a nice, little relaxing addition I really enjoyed. I will return! read more

I hate to write this because my experience here has been nothing but great due to my serologist, Washida. However, the manager that runs this facility has been extremely disrespectful to me. I had a verbal altercation with Christina (manager) today because I got a phone call from my fiance, moments before saying his mother tested positive for COVID. My appointment was at 10:00 am and up until that point, I was still going to the appointment even though I felt a little under the weather for the last two days. I was fully intending to keep my mask on and get my wax done prior to finding out this news. Once I explained all of this to Christina, she began the conversation by saying that I was being rude by canceling 20 minutes before my appointment and she has to charge me the full price. She also stated that if I knew I was sick yesterday I should have canceled 24 hrs beforehand. I was shocked by her response. Christina was verbally aggressive. I could hear her annoyance and anger through the phone. She began to talk over me and it became progressively louder with both of us on the phone, I had to hang up on her. I could tell she did not know the first thing about handling situations with professionalism. To disregard someone's health and say that what you think is appropriate for them to do is out of line and inappropriate. I don't care about the money being charged because that is the policy and I did cancel last minute. However, it's the way in which this manager chose to talk to me. No one should be treated this way in regard to a cancellation especially due to a valid reason. No one should be treated this way regardless of any situation. I will not be going back to this facility. Sorry to Washida because her services were impeccable. She doesn't deserve to lose clients due to the management at this facility. I also hope the owner does not read this and just chooses to side with their staff and actually take a course of action. I have read other reviews and this lack of professionalism seems to be an ongoing issue. This needs to change. read more

This was my first waxing and they could not have been accommodating. I had Natalie S. as my technician. I had my legs, underarms, and my feet done. I really hate toe hair! She was gentle and informative. Any questions about the wax or what she was doing she was happy to answer me. Plus I have scars from leg surgery, she took such care with the skin in those areas and by my varicose veins. I was impressed. The place was very clean and a welcoming environment. They had a good selection of scrubs and some other products in stock on display with some open to sample. They had some good top 40 radio playing in the background. They had volume controls in each room so if you wanted the music louder or softer they could accommodate. This is a place that I will definitely be back to. After checking around they were not pricey. It was easy to make an appointment by going online and choosing what service and technician you wanted. read more

I had to come in here and let all the ladies & gents know that waxing the city is the place to come to get any waxing service it's clean with a fabulous environment !!!!!! But mostly to say that MICHELLE is amazing !!! She made me feel super comfortable and I honestly felt like we were long time friends !!! I would give her 10 ++ stars if I could on this review she was very professional, friendly and made my waxing experience one of the bests I ever had and painless ! Ladies & gents PLEASE BOOK MICHELLE ! You won't regret it !!! She's the best !!!! read more

Was looking to try this place for the first time. I gave them a call to see if anything was available. The girl who answered said she would have to ask her manager (that was weird to me that the receptionist who answered the phone couldn't tell if there was any availability). Anyways, she proceeded to say she would ask her manager & call me back in 15 mins. I told her never-mind & that it was okay because I was in the area but had to get back to work. She insisted, so I waited. It is now over an hour minutes and no one called me back. Very unprofessional not to at least give a courteous call back. read more

I would rate this location a 0 if I could. I have been visiting this location since COVID-19 reopening. Experience was satisfactory until this past experience. My friend and I travel a half hour to this location, since the one in Branchburg is now closed. On this occasion we were caught in traffic and were sure to call and let the staff know we were going to be late. Staff assured us it would be fine and they will accommodate once we arrive. Upon arrival, staff was rude and informed us we had passed their "7 minute late policy", which was never mentioned when we called. My appointment was rescheduled and taken right away and my friend's appointment was rescheduled for an hour and a half later, a time she could not make. Staff refused to reschedule her and told her she could also no longer make online appointments and could only come on a "walk-in" basis. My waxer clearly did not take her time, which I understand since we were late. However, it is unacceptable to be left with patches of hair. I am also experiencing an absurd amount of ingrown hairs post-wax, something I have never encountered before. The staff is rude, especially the front desk associate. I have cancelled my "orange club" membership and will never return to this location. read more

Okay I have been so hesitant about any wax place but my gurllll Michelle is the bomb.com. She is my go to gal and if I ever had to be booked with anyone else besides her, I'd go bonkers. She has a way of doing her job in the most meticulous way possible, and it DOESNT HURT.Its some crazy sorcery she does. The manager and other girls are sweethearts too, it's good vibes overall but my girl Michelle is A+++++ read more

Always a great experience! The ladies here are all so pleasant and welcoming. Alicja has been my cerologist and she is the best! The membership and products are worth it. I've gotten waxed here twice (Brazilian and under arms) the first time by Michelle, who was very sweet and the second time by Diamond, who was equally very sweet and a pleasure to talk to. Both ladies did a wonderful job and talked to me the whole time to make the experience more pleasant. I love that they use the technique of smaller wax strips; it feels like I'm not being rushed and is a little bit less painful. My first visit I did have some small patches of hair left that I didn't notice until I got home, but not enough to cause a stir about. Both ladies offered me products that they felt would be beneficial to me based on my skin, however, they were not pushy which was appreciated. The facility was clean and the staff was welcoming. Would recommend. read more

Went to WTC the other day and Michelle did my brows. She was AMAZING! I highly reccomend her and WTC to anyone!

I love this salon, Diamond is amazing and is very thorough in the waxes she has done on me. I have been going for a few months now and have zero complaints. I saw Alicja today because Diamond was not in the store today and was again highly satisfied with their work. Both staff members are extremely friendly and do a great job with minimal -if any- pain. They're very easy going and fun to talk to, I rave about this salon to my friends. Fantastic service and well trained staff read more

Yesterday I wanted to get waxed and scoured yelp looking for the right salon. I came across this gem and I'm so glad that I did! The reviews alone lead me to believe that I'd be in good hands with Diamond and so I booked online with her. I requested eyebrows and a Brazilian and absolutely loved my appointment! Diamond talked me through the entire process, gave me tips and tricks on how to get the most out of my wax with certain products, and asked me how I wanted my service done. She listened to my wants for how I liked my brows and did them meticulously. My Brazilian wasn't as painful as it usually is for me and the results are phenomenal! The receptionist was warm and friendly and had a great disposition. I am a true stickler for amazing customer service; and I received just that!! I've already made my next appointment and can't wait!! Book with Diamond!! read more

I am extremely happy with my wax (brazilian and eyebrows) today. I was referred by my daughter and sister and was told to ask for someone in particular. She happened to be off this particular day and Alicja (who happened to be watching the front desk at that very moment) offered to make an appointment for me on a different day with her. Unfortunately, I needed the wax, today because I wanted to swim in the pool and sit in the hot tub about 30 hours later, lol. I contemplated going to EWC close to my home but the welcoming vibe and effort to try and get me the next appointment with who I originally requested made me want to give this place a try. What a great decision!! Alicja, who made me want to stay and wax here would actually be doing my Brazilian. To say I am pleased with EVERYTHING would be an understatement. The establishment is clean and beautiful (even in the bathrooms). Cleansing wipes to freshen up and a couple of things us ladies might need in case of emergencies. The wax was as pleasant as a Brazilian could get. She was swift, yet made sure to give me as much time as needed to recoup before she started again. She was patient and precise. Leaving no strands behind. Her conversation kept me at ease as well. (It's been a minute since I've gotten a wax and Ive been shaving so this wasn't easy) When she was finished I decided to get my eyebrows cleaned up a little. She did an amazing job with them as well. I will definitely return in 3-4 weeks. Alicja was amazing!! OH YEA!! 1/2 off your first wax. If you have more than one service it will apply to the most expensive. read more

I'm not sure how their ratings are so high. I had an appointment scheduled and I called to let them know I will be five minutes late. They said it was fine then I was 8 minutes late cause of traffic and they couldn't take me. Then I asked to reschedule and they said they would have to charge me for my appointment regardless cause it's not their fault I was late. Wtf? Then on top of that, they said I can't schedule my appointments with them anymore. No thanks. I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
