I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Why make an appointment if you are not going to seat me right away. First off, they wouldn't unlock the door to let me in. I stood outside for a solid 5 minutes before they let me in. Then I sat in the waiting chairs for my appointment, and listened to the staff talk poorly about me in Spanish while I fully understand it. 15 minutes past my appointment time, and being fed up with what they were saying, I decided to leave. I got multiple emails and phone calls from the manager apologizing after leaving, but it does not make up for the terrible treatment I was given there. After posting a review on google, the manager RUDELY responded 'claiming that it didn't happen in her salon' WHEN I FULL ON HAVE AN EMAIL FROM HER SAYING IT DID HAPPEN. I have been a customer with this salon since they have first opened. Stephanie is my girl!!!! I love the way she does my nails.I love that I can make my appointments online ( I hate talking on the phone having to call to make appointments lol). The salon is clean and the quality of work is good. I love the dip powder sets, they personally last me 3 weeks before any nails break. I only knocked off one star because if you have an evening appointment it is very difficult to get parking. My rating is based on going there 4-5 times now. I found them on Instagram and was immediately drawn to the nail designs. I will say that they are on point with designs. With that being said, I am not happy with the dip powder that I've been getting. After my 3rd time of getting them, the tips started to chip off on almost all of my nails. I found myself going back within a few days of my fill to get a nail repair. These were all my real nails. Now, I had to get tips because my nails were breaking. I decided to take the dip off and saw that my nails were now all brittle. So thin. I had to cut them all down to nothing. The other issue, they all speak Spanish with the exception of maybe one girl who speaks a little bit of English. If you don't speak Spanish, this may not be a place for you. The one star is for the ambiance, and the really good pedicure. The decor is beautiful and the pedicure is relaxing and thorough! Now... the bad. First, I got my nails done a fushia color (crystal powder with gel on top) and loved them! I get home (7 min away, literally.) and I notice my nails are changing to a weird dark color. I show a friend, who is a former nail tech, and she tells me they definitely use acetone in their polish to make it stretch. I call to complain, and went back immediately. I go in and speak to Alex(?), and inform her of the issue. Jenny (who did my nails) is speaking to her in Spanish (which is rude, and BTW I know spanish), and tells her that I probably rubbed my nails on my clothes and stained them. RIDICULOUS!! Eventually she redoes my nails, in a different color. Within 10 days, my gel polish is chipping horribly!! I will NEVER go back! read more

The first time I went to this place I got the dip gel polish and they used the UV light, which I later found out, you shouldn't be using for dip polish. I went for a second time last Weds to get regular gels for my wedding on that Friday (two days later). The next day, one of my nails already started to chip and I couldn't go back because I was already in PA. Thank goodness I thought ahead and brought a regular polish that sort of matched the gel to touch it up. After my wedding (3 days later from getting my nails done) all my nails started chipping. I'm not sure what is up with this place, but they need to get their act together. I won't be going back. I think they use acetone or something else in their polish, or they just suck at painting nails... I gave two stars because they are friendly and do nice designs. read more

Best set I've had in a long time! Jenny was AMAZING!!! I got a set, gel mani, pedi, and eyebrows and Jenny did an amazing job on EVERYTHING!! However the first two times I went I had a great experience so I have gone back two more times and each time hasn't been great.... Now the nail artist are great! Super friendly, nice, and they really take their time. The life of the nails is very short.... So the third time I went to this place I got a crystal set..... after two days, the tip fell off (now I take very good care of my nails and am super super careful when I have rips... so they shouldn't have fallen off) I brushed it off and three months later went back with my sister to get nails done for her wedding. We both got gels and no tips (that was on a Wednesday, the wedding was on a Friday) the day after(Thursday)... my sister's gel already chipped (she was the bride). She ended up having to cover it up with paint she bought. (My sister gets gels all the time from another salon and has never had them chip, ever)..... my nails were still ok but they started to streak the day of the wedding, which I have never had happen with gel. Today (5 days after the gel manicures) my nails are chipping. I now agree with the reviews. It's sad because I thought I found a great nail salon near me that was fairly priced and good quality. However it seems they most be cutting corners (and maybe even polish with acetone)... so I have to lower my stars :( read more

I wanted to wait until I got another manicure so I could write a review. First off I'll like to say, I took a big chance on trying out a nail salon that none of my family members or friends had ever tried before. I've always gone to places that were recommended to me. See it's different from trying new restaurants because the thought of trying new dishes are exciting, but when it comes to my nails it's personal LOL. Having gone to a horrible nail salon just for convenience without looking at reviews with my mom had me traumatized. But I'm glad I took the chance with Fusion Nail Bar. So with this nail salon, it's located on a busy main room (Rt 27 or as we like to call it St George) and can be missed since it's nestled in between a bicycle shop and a Caribbean restaurant (btw is bomb af). There's street parking along the main road or you can TRY to find parking down the one way street near the apartment complexes. (Good luck). If you go during the late afternoon or evening, finding shouldn't be too hard to find on St George. As soon as you walk into the salon, you are taken to an aesthetically pleasing ambiance with the greys, blues and white with splashes of the yellow chairs. The waiting area is very welcoming, but honestly I didn't have to wait long to be seen. My first visit was great. My nail technician (I think it was Nicole?!) she saw how my nails were wrecked and suggested trying powder dip. She was patient and walked me through whatever she was doing, especially when my eyebrows were raised. My nails lasted for about a good 3 weeks. I recently went back to get my nails redone, and my nails turnt out amazing. The only down flaw read that I had asked for the a clean gold line for two of my fingers, but it didn't look clean and came off like the next day. It's all good because the base is still pretty. Overall coming here again and recommending it to my gals. read more

Although I had a great first experience, today this nail salon really let me down. I walked in at 1:40, had the owner soak my nails in, and no one started working on my manicure until 2:35. I understand I didn't make an appointment, but it was very very slow. I asked for a new full set of dip powder, and she did a good job, but the nail shape is what makes me want to scream. I asked for slim sides since they were so wide, and ended up getting coffin on a super short manicure, which it doesn't look good. I told her I didn't like it, and unfortunately she did not understand, so kept on going. Until the owner approached and I explained. She translated and seemed not to care about the fact I hated the nail shape. On top of that, nail artist kept on checking on her phone while filing my nails, talked on the phone for half the time, and kept on checking her social media's feed. I've been here twice, and I have a habit of jumping around nail places. I thought I had found a go-to place near my school and my boyfriend's house. The place is very cute and clean. The woman who I am assuming is the owner did my nails the first time and did an amazing job and was very nice. The second time another woman did my nails and they turned out not nearly as good as the first. What made me stopped going was this second visit. I made my appointments through yelp both times I went. I make appointments all the time through yelp, if a business has that option and I have never encountered a problem before. I made an appointment about 10:30am a few DAYS prior. I thought the salon would be quiet and maybe empty as it was the first time I had went. However, when I got there it was crowded and busy. Not a problem though. I went to the front desk and said I had an appointment at 10:30 for a fill-in. The owner looked at me in confusion and said I wasn't in the book. I said I had made an appointment through yelp, and opened the app to show her. She said "oh, you didn't confirm the appointment." You see I find this odd, because I've never had to confirm an appointment MYSELF through yelp on MY end. It's usually the business that'll send a confirmation through the chat. Also, the first time I requested an appointment with her I didn't have to "confirm" anything. I ended up being a walk-in, which isn't a big deal, but if I request an appointment I expect there to BE AN APPOINTMENT MADE. Also, I know there was nothing wrong on my end, but I would've excepted an apology for the inconvenience and ownership of the mistake. That's just bad business blaming the customer. Overall it's a good salon. That one incident did turn me off. I suggest calling to make an appointment. read more

The pedicure chairs are not that comfy and are not your typical massage chairs either. It's a cute little space although the atmosphere feels like it's almost finished but not quite yet - it's lots of random bits and pieces that seem like they were just slapped together to create a nail salon. Today was my 3rd time here and I can say I've found my new nail salon! Jenny did my manicure and she shaped my nails the best that anyone ever has. She suggested powder (instead of gel color) but it didn't feel like she was trying to up-sell me. Celia did my pedicure and suggested a great color and was a so friendly. Both Celia and Jenny were perfectionists and weren't trying to rush me out of the chair. They were all kinds of dings and craters on the nail. The whole point of dip powder is so you don't have to use a UV lamp. These people obviously don't know what they are doing. Two stars because the decor is pretty. I really had high hopes for this place. However, every time I go there I get reminded after why I stay away. Last time will be my last time for sure. The artist told me originally she could duplicate the design I wanted. After she tested it on one nail I told her I did not like it. She then let the owner know who tried to convince me that was the way the design is done. Which is cool but it looked nothing like the picture. It wasn't cute at all. I then opted for simple marble design because I honestly just wanted to get it over with. All in total I end up paying over $100 for a pedicure and basic nails that I could have done myself. I tipped the artist because she doesn't set prices and did seem like she was trying to work hard. However, the price was ridiculous and my nails were medium length. Worst salon experience ever! My sister and I walk in because we both had made appointments a week in advance, and my manicurist is in the bathroom for 5 minutes while my sister's manicurist was doing another woman for over 20 minutes when we both had made appointments a week in advance. Once I sat, I was told that I couldn't get a dip manicure but I could get gel. If you have an appointment, they should have the time to give the manicure you want. It was highly unprofessional. She kept insisting that I get a gel manicure which I didn't want, which was so pushy, and when I was trying to pick a color the girl stared at me with her arms crossed giving the feeling I needed to rush. Once I finally picked a dip color, she told me she couldn't do it because "there wasn't enough time." She was rude and unprofessional. I could only assume that the dip takes longer and she wanted to get through me as fast as possible to get to the next customer. After she said she couldn't give me the dip, I told her I was no longer interested and she snaps back and said "way to waste our time" and then I stood up for myself saying that I had an appointment and I felt very rushed. My sister decided to not get her nails done as well, and then they decided to charge us for the removal of our previous gel. I will let my friend who recommended this salon know so she can find another salon. Bottom line, DO NOT waste your time. I went to Elegance Nails instead in Cranford as a walk in, and got what I wanted. I should have gone there in the first place. The prices may have been cheap, but now I know why!!!! read more
