Yesterday was the very first time I have ever tried Farmer Boys EVER. Although the location of this particular Farmer Boys is not too visable being that the infamous In & Out is right down the street , it has an individual parking lot which makes it easy to find spots even during busy lunch hours. For the past 10 years of living in Diamond Bar, I have finally convinced myself to try it out. The experience was terrific! Since I am a vegetarian and haven't had a decent burger in a long time, my order of the Veggie burger combo was a treat. The fries, looked golden brown, and it was just as delicious. My friend who came along, it was his first time eating at Farmer Boys also. He ordered the cheeseburger combo, and we both agreed that Farmer Boys have become one of our new lunch break spots. They also have a full menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but you can choose any of the dishes at anytime of the day. Just like Denny's I suppose, but the style of the restaurant is much like In & Out. Price can be a little high for a fast food joint $8 or so, but I don't mind paying another $2 for my combo if the food is good. I will definitely go back to Farmer Boys more often and try out the rest of the non-meat menu then I can see if I really like the place. read more

Save your money. I went thru the drive-thru and ordered two of the three egg breakfast. I should have checked the bag but the line was super long so I was just trying to get out of there. They didn't put bacon in one of the meals. The fruit was mushy and old. I asked for no butter on the toast and they decided to put extra butter. The bread was barely toasted. Hashbrowns were cold. Not sure if this is a fast food place, or a sit down restaurant. When I first went through the drive through, I waited almost 10 minutes. When I finally ate the food, I understood why. It's fresh restaurant quality made to order goodness. I like almost everything there. To name a few: chili cheese fries, all their salads, farmer burger (WOW), great fish and chips, and the absolute best of all are their FUNNEL FRIES. First time I had Farmer Boys was when I was helping my uncles work on my uncle's home in Rancho Cucamonga. Outside of In-N-Out, I thought it was the best burger I've had. Bacon and avocado on a burger? Mmmm... And the servings of onion rings and fried zucchinis were huge. Did I mention the country home decor at the locations? Fast forward a few years and I'm at Cal Poly. I get this sudden craving for avocado and burgers and wonder if there's a Farmer Boys nearby. There's one not too far away! So I high-tail it there and I'm amazed at what they have on the menu. I never remembered the menu being so immense. They served real breakfast meals in the morning (never tried them though). Good variety of sandwiches and burgers as well. The food was great but the prices are higher than average for other restaurants. I guess they can do that since it's a "fastaurant". Excellent customer service! The shift manager Arlene F was very energetic and optimistic. I sat and ate here for 30-45min and within that time frame, she always greeted every guest that came in and asked if they were ready to order. She has her crew constantly working and keeping the work place clean. What surprised me compared to other farmer boys locations and some restaurants is that she actually works like a leader and not just another lazy manager having everyone else do something while she sits around. The place was spotless. We were served fast and the food was fresh. All the other crew members were nice and always asked if we needed anything else. Had a good experience going through the drive through at this Farmer Boys. Although the computer crashed and I had to wait a little it was still pretty quick considering I ordered 6 breakfast burritos. They apologized for the wait and offered me something to drink and assured me that they were preparing my food even though I wasn't able to pay yet. Came here when I was little and I was formally reunited with Farmer Boys today (19 years old now). The fried zuchini was the best! That is definitely a must. The burgers are nice and juicy too. I finished it within a few minutes! I wish the buns were toasted and the bacon not that crispy though. And, oh my goodness, you must try their Fried Zucchini. It's definitely something different. I thought the zucchini would be tough to bite into, but that's not the case! The bread is not thick either. They provide you with four long, thick pieces of zucchini. The omelet was supposed to have cheddar on both the inside & outside of it but came very dry with only something similar to bacon bits inside. Growing up in Walnut my whole life Farmer Boys was always a treat; my family and I used to come here all the time! After going vegan earlier this year I hadn't been here and after tons of research I finally found multiple sources confirming that their veggie patty is vegan. So today they were doing their Veteran's Day special which was a free Big Cheese Burger for all military member's; I figured I would take advantage of this get my free meal and that I shouldn't have an issue asking to switch the beef patty for a veggie patty. When I ordered the burger they told me they would have to charge me the difference which was $1.50. At first I was a little taken back considering this was the Veteran's Day special and you'd think they would cut me some slack being an active member but I thought what the heck that's still cheap for a veggie burger. I made sure to be very clear and asked the gentleman for no cheese and no sauce and clarified that I just want the veggie patty and the veggies that come with it. And of course I had to get a side of fries....what's a meal without some fries!!! It took them about 20 minutes to bring out my burger and when I got it there was cheese on it; I told the waiter nicely that I cant eat cheese and she took it back with no problem. About 5 minutes later they brought out another burger this time with no cheese but with their sauce on it and they forgot the fries. This time I walked up to the counter and just let them know that I had asked to please not put any cheese or sauce and that they forgot the fries as well. I asked them if I can just please have a refund (at this point I was getting annoyed because I had to pay extra just to switch the patty, they couldn't get the simple order correct, and I was wasting my lunch time). Finally on the third try they brought out my burger with no cheese and no sauce (which is technically just a hamburger LOL didn't know that was so complicated) but yet again forgot the fries. I asked the gentleman who brought it out to me about the fries and he just gave my attitude and rolled his eyes. Overall I will admit that that the burger was in great; the patty had a great taste to it, great texture, and was very filling. But by this point I was already in a funk that they would charge extra for the patty, they couldn't get the simple order right, and I was given attitude by a worker just asking for something that I had paid for. I hate to say this but this will more than likely be the last time I come to this location; I was going to give it one star but thought since the burger was good I'd show some sympathy and give them two. read more
