Staff were kind and welcoming. The place looks nice and well kept. I got the Amboy combo which came with fries and a choice of drink. The Amboy burger consists of two double smash patties with their Amboy burger sauce (like a thousand island), American cheese, caramelized onions, sliced pickles while being placed in a toasted sesame bun. I took the food to go and the burger/fries were still good nice and juicy/crispy. If you're at Haven City Market or in the city of West Covina and you're craving a delicious smash burger, look no further because Amboy is the place to be.

The restaurant was also fairly empty at the time, so this was not a situation where they were overwhelmed with a huge rush. Three incorrectly prepared sandwiches during one visit is beyond a simple mistake. At that point, it feels like either a lack of attention or a lack of proper training. When I'm spending $45 on a meal, I expect the order to at least be prepared correctly. I gave this location a second chance. Unfortunately, there won't be a third.

Been twice now. First visit I sat in the drive thru for over 5 mins before driving to the window itself to find out the girl wasn't wearing her head set. Ordered food for my hubby who works near by so I didn't know how bad the food was. I was grabbing us a late dinner tonight got him a cheeseburger combo and myself a BBQ chicken sandwich all for about $17! WHAT?! Well maybe it's that good? NOPE my chicken was so dry on a bun soaked with BBQ sauce (pictured) COLD undercooked bacon. I felt like a dog trying to get through this thing and the chicken only covered about half the bun! I come here occasionally with my family. I love getting the fried zucchini's because I don't know many fast food places that have that on the menu, and it's my favorite item here. The combos are worth your money and it's a great deal. It's super clean inside and there is nice air conditioner. All fountain drinks are free refills and depending on the location you do it yourself or you ask a worker behind the counter. Went through the drive thru. Two cars ahead of me. One car at the window for 10 minutes (I timed it). That car finally left then the next car is at the window for 5 plus minutes. I finally pull up to the window and sit there for 2-3 minutes without anyone at least opening the window to advise me what is going on. I could not believe it so I left. As a restaurant it is your job to make sure cups are available for customers. It would not be fair to buy a cup for the soda when we don't drink soda and we only drink water. Escalating the issue with the manager didn't help, she didn't offer anything to resolve but she keeps in insisting to offer the small soup bowl. I even asked if she can give us one cup, we just need a drinking cup not a soup bowl. But there's soda cups available. She didn't offer bottle water for purchase and we are willing to pay extra for water bottle. This is very degrading!!! Now, my question to the corporate office .. Is this how you treat your customer? To drink water from a small soup bowl like a dog when there's soda cups available?!!! Small soup bowl is different from drinking cups. You probably one of our favorite place to eat but customer service counts alot. What is the point of having a manager when she can't think out the box? She can't decide to do the right thing for the customer, no critical thinking in situations like this. She told us across the board all location you don't have cups for the water which is a lie because we called Brea location and they have cups for the water. Manager is Lylet Granados should be re trained or needs corrective action for insulting customer. Not sure why would she think it's OK to drink in a small soup bowl. She needs to know difference between bowl and cups. We are expecting a refund on this and we hope you refund us right away!!! We will never ever come back, definitely we will reach out to the Corporate Office!!

With that being said, I was…read moredoing construction work in the city of Walnut, I saw this place on Apple Maps when I searched for "food" and thought I'd come in because the egg salad sandwich looked particularly good (which it was in fact delicious). The food is a small part of what I was given though, as this places service is outstanding. The owner is the sweetest lady ever, and you can tell she loves serving the people in her community. This lunch spot is in fact a STAPLE of the local area. It was very common for me coming in over the course of the month to see firefighters, postal workers, construction workers, police officers, etc. all sitting down and eating. The owner of course knew many of these people, so you know they enjoy coming in. This restaurant SERVES the community and I am not surprised at all that everyone in there enjoys the company and food. What an amazing place. Although my work has ended in Walnut, you can bet that I will be visiting next time I am out there. I hope the owner sees this and knows how much I appreciate her and her staff! I am hoping for this businesses continued success, it deserves an award or some sort of recognition. The food is amazing, but what really stood out was the customer service. The girl behind the counter had a great personality, explained everything thoroughly, and made the entire experience enjoyable. She overheard that I don't eat pork for religious reasons and immediately offered to completely sanitize her station before preparing my sandwich. That level of thoughtfulness and respect meant a lot to me. It's rare to find a place that delivers both excellent food and exceptional service, but this spot does exactly that. Highly recommend!
