I thought i'd give Farmer Boys another try, My last visit to this location and the Baldwin Park location both drew me away due to customer service mistakes and slow service. Well, This time took the prize for bad customer service! We entered the restaurant to find it pretty empty for the evening time. As we ordered our food from two female employees (one was being trained by another) we were ok with the slower ordering time it took. All was fine, the girls seemed to be very nice during the ordering. It was 7:55 pm and i noticed two other girls working the drive thru. So after ordering we seat ourselves at the nearest booth to wait for our "To Go" order. I then notice the trainer girl leaving her shift at about 8pm she sat behind us at another booth with her personal items and phone possibly waiting for a ride home or something? Then a couple of minutes later i see the trainee girl head out with her personal items and some food as she shouted goodbye to some of the employees. then 8:05 comes around, and 8:10 and so on.. after another few minutes i noticed some food bags up at the cook counter just sitting there...Hum, could that be our delicious burgers just sitting there getting cold?? Now i know proper employee service should be to take care of the customer you just helped before splitting out once your shift ends or at least let the other employees there know that they need to take over for you and get the food to the customer, but no none of that customer service was even thought of! I made eye contact with the remaining employees but no luck! They just kept the drive-thru orders going. Ok so now i looked back at the girl seated behind us who just deserted us once her shift ended and i asked "Is anyone going to call us up for our order or should get up and get it myself" She lightly giggled that someone should be with me shortly or something! We now get up and approach the counter and ask the two drive thru working girls if our order was ready. They both looked confused and lost at that moment! The girl seated off her shift shouted something to them and they preceded to check the bags. sitting up at the pick up counter area low and behold there was our food! Nice and cold burgers that had been sitting for there for quite awhile!! And whoo-hoo we still have a 8-10 min drive home! As we left the girls seemed to notice how upset we were but did nothing to remedy it. They have a bell at the door for you to ring on your way out if you got good customer service...No bell ringing you! Please put a horn by the door also for bad customer service, i'd glady honk that on the way out! Needless to say by the time we got home the burgers were cold and messy and tasteless, i only ate half and threw the rest away. Looks like my Farmer Boys days are done now. read more

This review is primarily focused around my experience with the drive thru service. In my opinion If a person does not like customer service or people they should not be working in a customer service focused job. The lady at the drive-through was so horribly rude she never said please thank you or anything like that she primarily was just short, not demonstrating good customer service skills. When I asked her about substituting American cheese for Swiss she was like "will do that but just know it's going to be extra and there's no substituting it for anything less." I replied with that's not a problem. And she replied with " why would it be it's only $.50 more?" So I decided to let that comment slide because she was probably having a bad night but what really irked me more than anything was when she snatched my credit card out of my hand when I went to go pay and she drops the card and says "can you hurry up and get that." Then has Do you audacity to roll her eyes. Then when she tries to hand me the food she threw it on my lap. I could not believe what was happening, At the end of the day no Customer should be treated like that. What's not to love about Farmer Boys? The drive-thru and the dine-in services are amazing! I haven't had any problems with service, the quality of food, and the cost. Their burgers are so tasty and the fries are delicious, too! Everything is great!!! Overpriced for a fast food joint too. I've been to more hole in the wall places with better service and food than this franchise. I wish I had something positive to say about our experience this evening, but I don't. First, we ordered inside, to go. It took over half an hour to get our food even though no one else came inside. My wife's turkey sandwich was missing the avocado and wasn't even cut all the was through. Only one slice of bread was cut. I called in to talk to the manager who said her name was Christine. Although the computer crashed and I had to wait a little it was still pretty quick considering I ordered 6 breakfast burritos.
