Writing this while I'm still sitting in the restaurant. I decided to give this location a second chance after my previous experience, but unfortunately this confirmed that I won't be coming back. My order was about $45 for my mom and me, and both of our sandwiches were made incorrectly. I brought mine back and politely explained what was wrong. They remade it, and somehow the replacement was still incorrect. The employee preparing the burgers seemed to have significant difficulty following the custom order. If a restaurant offers customization, customers should reasonably expect those instructions to be followed. The restaurant was also fairly empty at the time, so this was not a situation where they were overwhelmed with a huge rush. Three incorrectly prepared sandwiches during one visit is beyond a simple mistake. At that point, it feels like either a lack of attention or a lack of proper training. When I'm spending $45 on a meal, I expect the order to at least be prepared correctly. I gave this location a second chance. Unfortunately, there won't be a third. read more

I think this is my second time coming here. It's been a while. We got the Santa Barbara Char. It was so huge and delicious. Lots of avocado in there. It's messy but so yummy. I only ate half of it and got the to go box for the other half. I also got the tempura green bean. Also super delicious. Yes, a bit greasy but it's so satisfying. Food takes a bit time but it's hot and freshly made. Service was alright. Table couple use some cleaning. Overall, it was a great experience. Prince was great. So of course, we've all been to the habit. Service is usually good and same with the food. The ambience was not obtainable because I went through the drive-through. The food on this visit was good overall. I ordered the Oreo shake, but was surprised they didn't have whipped cream. It may seem small, but whipped cream really does make a difference in a shake. That being said, the Oreo shake here is still better than the one at Jack in the Box. I also got the 50/50 fries, which were a bit disappointing in portion size, but at least everything felt cooked to order. The bread on the sandwich could have been toasted a little more, but I did try one of their new sandwiches and enjoyed it. The real concern that held me back from giving five stars was the rat bait catcher positioned directly under the drive-through window. It's unsettling to get your food passed over while staring at something meant for rats, because it raises questions about what's happening behind the scenes. As we all know, rats can carry disease, and it's not a reassuring look for a place serving fresh food. It honestly gave the impression that there's a rat issue they haven't figured out how to handle discreetly. The outside seating is a nice addition to the city and I'd come back to give it another try, but management really needs to address this because it leaves a lasting negative impression. read more

Nice Habit in the shopping center accross the street from Mt. Sac. Picked up some burgers and a they were consistently good as my previous visits at other locations. If you are familiar with the Habit burger game, they are tasty! This location in particular is fairly new, and used to be a Jack and the Box so I was surprised when they built this here due to the limited space. The seating inside is limited, but they also have a nice outdoor patio seating arrangement. Overall, a clean location with decent service. read more

I was told that The Habit Burger & Grill has $1 Double Char burger offer from 6/25-6/27/2025 when you order through their app. I have the Habit Burger app, so the offer is already in there, and I just added the order to the cart to unlock the offer, and it deducted $7.89 from my order. (You can choose with or without cheese) The regular price of a double char with cheese is $8.89, but I paid only $1.10 after I applied the offer when checkout. If you don't see the offer there, you just need to add the offer code "1DBLCHAR", and then you can add the offer and add the order to the cart. Good food as is expected it's Habit. Double check your order though, I paid for a side of spicy ranch. No spicy ranch in my order. Asked the staff where was the side I paid for. They' were very friendly and said they don't have spicy ranch. I could have made a scene asking if they're sold out why didn't you inform me. But instead I asked for a side of regular ranch which they provided. They were 30 minutes from closing time so I'm sure they just wanted to leave. It's 2026! read more

Tried it a few times and unfortunately not a fan. The food was overly greasy and really salty, which made it hard to enjoy. The fries were especially disappointing--super mushy and oily instead of crispy. The burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches were just whatever--nothing special or memorable. Food was good, only problem was the service. Asked for barbecue sauce which i had ordered but none came. I went to the order pickup counter to ask for more and no one answered. When i finally got the attention of two workers neither of them answered and one just ignored me all together. They charged me 3.29 for four barbecue sauces which I had already ordered and paid for. I've been to this Habit location several times in the past, but I usually order a burger. This time, I tried the Chicken Club and Tempura Green Beans. My sandwich looked nothing like the picture in their app. My chicken breast was so thin and small. There was barely any avocado on my sandwich. My Tempura Green Beans were extremely salty. I wanted to take them back and ask for an order without salt. It took so long for me to get my order that I didn't want to wait again. I've been stopping by The Habit after school lately. Last week the service was solid and the portions were pretty decent--I even split the fries and green beans tempura because there was plenty. Came back today and... oof. Big quality drop. I ordered the same fries and green beans tempura and the portion was literally half the size of what I got last week. I brought it up to the manager, but he insisted this was the "standard size." I get that things fluctuate, but the difference was too big to ignore. For the price, it just didn't feel worth it this time. Probably going to try the kabob place across the street next time instead. read more

Burger is fresh and they have a good condiments/chili section. Service is good, not exemplary. It's nothing special anymore, on its best day, it is at par with an In n Out double double. Went in after previously slow drive thru experience. Ordered in person, got all the orders in timely manner. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The burger was juicy and amazing. The food was ok. The service was terrible. They had messed up my order it's okay it happens right when I went to politely ask for the cheese they didn't add on my cheeseburger combo the cashier was rude, defensive and stubborn. She said I did not pay for the cheese. I showed her my burger was ordered as a cheeseburger she stated it was not, my receipt and burger label said otherwise. Mind you all I asked for was the cheese that was missing from my burger on the side I did not ask them to remake my burger or the burger they messed up on. She insisted it was just a mislabeled burger she even walked over to our table and said they were not wrong it was mislabeled I said ok and checked the "mislabeled" burger it was still wrong it was not mislabeled that burger had modifications so now both burgers are wrong. I had my toddler with me who was hungry or else I would have deconstructed both burgers to show her that they were both wrong. A simple solution would have been to just give me the cheese they forgot to add but she wanted me to pay for their mistake. She did not apologize or offer a solution just walked away. My meal was over $45 + I was not going to do that. So yeah definitely would not come back here the staff could use some more training in customer service I wish a manager was on site when this happened. read more

First time at this location. Right across from Mt SAC so in waking distance--which is nice. Kind of limited seating inside. Luckily there's a large outdoor patio with ample seating. They need more shade, however. And cover for rain. Had the Santa Barbara burger and it was delicious. I'll definitely order it again. Was going to get my go-to root beer, but tried the lemonade. If you have a coupon code (i.e. Birthday Charburger w/ Cheese), you'll need to order with the cashier, because the kiosks do not take the coupons. This Habit location is located in a big plaza with plenty of parking. Ordering off the kiosk was super easy. Restrooms in the back were clean. We went to the habit one evening to get a peppermint shake as a treat and went through drive through and the employee told us that they did not have anymore peppermint shakes. Then about few nights later we went again, this time I had my son walk in to ask if they had the peppermint shakes. Food - Their burger patties were undercooked and still raw, biting into the burger, the meat was cold and undercooked. See the picture to compare them versus the burger joint on valley/grand. Service - Service was fine, staff were nice and helpful. l believe they were also understaffed as the drive-thru line was pretty busy and probably contributed to the cook time of items.
