    Chicken Shawarma Plate
    Sonya L.

What a little gem this spot is. Amazing delicious tender meats and beautiful presentation. My husband and I shared the beef shawarma sandwich and chicken shawarma plate w sides of baba ganoush, garlic and hummus which were all outstanding. The interior is decorated nicely, establishment is clean. Restroom was clean also but no toilet seat covers nor paper towels- no biggie at least it was clean. Looking forward to trying other items on the menu.

10/10 spot. Staff is VERY friendly and food is AMAZING. We had the mix shawarma plate, chicken shawarma combo, and the chicken b Kabob plate and tbh they're all good but the chicken REALLY hits. DONT FORGET TO ORDER BABAGHANOUSH. It's the best I've ever had and i've tried plenty and even had it before in dubai. Would definitely come back again

I went to this Mediterranean spot with a friend yesterday, and I was absolutely amazed! It's so close to my house, which makes it even better. I tried the baba ghanoush for the first time, and it quickly became my favorite part the flavor was incredible. The service was impeccable the staff were so sweet and really helpful in guiding us through all the menu options. I've had Mediterranean food before, so I had a rough idea of what I wanted, but with so many choices, I ended up trying the shrimp for the first time and got my usual chicken. Everything was delicious! The rice, salad, and hummus were all so fresh and flavorful it genuinely felt like eating at someone's home. The restaurant looked very nice. I honestly felt like I was at a fancy restaurant and it was perfect.!! Prices are great, the food is worth every penny, and I'm so happy to have this spot here in Walnut. Highly recommend!

First visit with coworkers for lunch. Friendly staff, somewhat quick service (but worth a little wait), delicious food, and clean dining area. The cashier was quite helpful to our group of first timers, explaining the various dishes and offering suggestions. Order at the counter, but the food is brought out to your table. They even clean up your table when you're done. The food was downright amazing. We tried the Lentil Soup served with chips, an order of the Falafel (4 piece), Greek & Chicken Salad, Beef Shawarma Sandwich combo, and the Kofta Kabob Sandwich combo. Hot items came out hot, good seasoning, and delicious flavors. Overall, a fantastic first experience...we will be back! NOTE: they're located across the street from Mt. SAC Jr. College and close to the CalPoly Pomina campus, so lunch time can be quite busy...plan accordingly. There are many restaurants in this little strip-mall, and I've reviewed several...the parking is tight.

Craving something healthy and decided to try this spot which is just around the neighborhood. Besides someone at the counter to take your order, they offer a kiosk for self order. You can sit anywhere, I personally love the leather brown chairs because they're so comfy! Public restroom also available to customers. Their menu is straightforward which also offers a kid's menu. Here is what was ordered: 1. Mix Grill Kabob Plate: served with salad, rice and hummus. It comes with their well cooked chicken, you can appreciate the charred flavor and their juicy beef, easy to chew and evenly flavored. Overall a 10/10! 2. Chicken Shawarma Plate: also has the same sides as their mix grill. The chicken again is well cooked, not too rubbery, flavor is just the right amount. I give it a 8.5/10 In a nutshell, you can taste the freshness of the food. This will definitely be my go-to Mediterranean food place.

Cute "Kebob" sign and decor - very welcoming! I just had to try a new (ish) Mediterranean location! Even when I was ordering with the screen, the staff still told me to let them know if I had any questions, which was very nice of them. The falafel plate I ordered was amazing!! It came with pita bread, rice, hummus, and salad with a garlicky lemon dressing. It's very filling for one person, but I still couldn't help but finish the whole thing because it was such a comforting meal after a long week. The falafel was crispy on the outside and softer in the inside (and dare I say, probably the best falafel I've had in a while!). The salad was very refreshing and goes well with the rice and falafel. The pita bread and hummus were, of course, wonderful additions to the plate! Definitely worth coming back to

Came here on a whim and was so glad to have stopped by. I got takeout and the wait was not long. The food was delicious upon getting home and I have to say this is now my new go-to spot as a student at Mt. Sac. The host was wonderful and the energy of the restaurant was laid back and comfy. I'm looking forward to dining in next time!

I had mixed feelings about my dish. I ordered the chicken kabob sandwich which was described a "grilled chicken, nestled in fresh bread with crisp lettuce, tomatoes and tangy sauce " The chicken was delicious, perfectly seasoned and juicy. The service was great and the dining area very clean. Unfortunately, the rest didn't live up to the description. It was served in a thin wrap that felt more like a standard tortilla. There was also a noticeable lack of, sauce, lettuce and tomatoes , which made the whole thing feel bare.

I ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich and I have to say it was delicious. The fries were flavorful and that garlic sauce was the nice touch for dipping. Mustafa was friendly and provided great service. Will be back again. Nice find in Walnut. Nice family-run restaurant.

They opened up recently across the street near Mt Sac. I got their Mix shawarma plate by using their kiosk ($18.99) which comes with a side salad, hummus, and warm pita bread. The wait time was not long and the meat was tender and seasoned nicely. The salad had a good amount of dressing. The staff is nice and the place is clean. The parking lot can get packed.

So happy to have this option for Mediterranean food in Walnut! I called in my order and it was ready in 15 minutes. Ordered: falafel, baba ghanoush, and the chicken schwarma plate (comes with salad, hummus, garlic sauce, saffron rice) and the total came out to ~$30. The saffron rice was SO fragrant, and everything else was also delicious--not a single miss. The space inside is modern and well decorated. Decent parking in the lot. Looking forward to adding this to our normal meal rotation.

    mixed kebab plate
    Sharon H.

While the service is great here, the food to price proportion was very disappointing as well as the flavors. I ordered the mixed kebab plate ~$25 for 8 pieces of meat, which does not feel worth at all . Normally kebabs are large enough to fill the whole container horizontally but that was not the case here. I also ordered the chicken shawarma plate and the proportions were a little better. The chicken and beef had good texture but all tasted pretty flavorless; the chicken shawarma had a little more flavor. I did enjoy the hummus but the pita texture was flat and flavorless as well. Cozy spot and casual sit down place for mediterranean food but I would only come back for the hummus.

    Ordering kiosk by the counter

Yelp brought us here, with their rave reviews. It's located in a strip mall with ample parking. We arrived in a Saturday afternoon and parked in front. Inside, the decor is clean, with modern wall panels and high ceilings. The ornate light fixtures remind me of a Moroccan restaurant I went to many years ago. To order, there's a huge menu board above the counter. There's also a kiosk off to the left. The menu is pretty extensive for a small place. For a first timer, we always like to sample, so we got the combo,'which is a 3 meat plate with rice, salad, pitas and hummus. The plate is a bit much for one person but not quite enough for 2, so we also tried a beef shawarma sandwich. The rice on the combo plate was fluffy and fragrant. The meats were great with a slight charred flavor, but the steak (filet?) was ironically a little tough and dry. The sandwich had fresh onions and tomatoes with tender beef. This can be ordered as a combo with fries and a drink, or a la carte. I hoped for the garlic paste to be more potent, but understand many people cannot handle it. The pitas were fresh and soft, great for wrapping the kebab proteins. Our interaction with I believe was the owner, was great. He was personable and it showed he really cared about the customer service and the overall location. The food was a 4.5, with slight room for improvement. The vibe, decor, ethnic music playing and speaking to the owner made this a 5 star.

Wow -- My Lunch Spot did not disappoint…read more My partner and I travel from LA to Riverside pretty often to visit family, and we're always on the hunt for new food spots along the way. Traffic was brutal as usual, so we decided to stop earlier than planned and came across My Lunch Spot. After checking out their website and seeing the detailed sandwich photos, we were sold immediately. And what better time to write a quick review than when sitting in traffic. We placed a pickup order for two sandwiches: * The Turkey Club with extra provolone * The Bulgogi Beef Sandwich with jalapeños When I walked in, the ladies behind the counter greeted me right away and had my order ready to go. Fast, friendly service -- always appreciated when you're hungry and sitting through SoCal traffic. I also ordered a combo with a large drink and chips, and tried the Lavender Earl Grey iced tea. First thing I noticed: the place was spotless. Seriously clean and well kept, which honestly says a lot about a restaurant. Now the important part -- the sandwiches. As soon as I opened the Bulgogi Beef sandwich and pulled the pre-cut halves apart, the melted cheese stretched perfectly between both sides. At that point I already knew it was going to be good. And it absolutely was. The jalapeños added just the right amount of heat without overpowering the flavor of the beef. The Turkey Club was equally satisfying. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and made with care. Even the pickles stood out -- crisp, flavorful, and surprisingly the perfect addition to each bite. And one more thing: the Lavender Earl Grey iced tea was really refreshing. Just a heads up, it's unsweetened, but after adding a packet of sugar it was perfect. Safe to say we found a new regular stop on our Riverside drives. Big thanks to the ladies working that afternoon. We'll definitely be back.

I have not been able to check them due to the hours, but recently I had time to stop in. They are located in a business park and parking is a bit limited in the front. You don't see much from the outside because of the tinted windows, but inside they are working efficiently. The staff greated me when I entered, by the vibe of the restaurant its a family owned business. The staff was welcoming throughout my entire time. I asked which hot sandwich was their most popular. The gentlemen said the Beef Bulgogi Sandwich. I opted for that one and the 6in option. You can choose your style of bread as well. The inside has plenty of seating and they will bring the sandwich out to you. I would say this sandwich was as advertised! It was tremendous! The sweet and savory flavors of bulgogi in between bread is a recipe for success! Flavor bombs in every bite! The staff even asked if I wanted jalapeños and of course I couldn't say no. It added perfect amount of heat and elevated the tastes of the sandwich. I would say My Lunch Spot definitely delivered for me on my first visit! If I'm in the area again before closing I would happily try more subs/sandwiches. They're a local favorite and I can see why. Thanks for the great lunch! ( ^_^)b

American Express is accepted as a payment option. The staff gave us a number to place on the table we sat at but we were free to grab any seat we liked. For seating, there were a few tables for parties of two and limited tables for bigger groups. Keep in mind if you need water or extra napkins, they'll have those near the bar seating. Both the Pink Vodka Pasta and Rich Miso Pasta exceeded our expectations! The miso pasta leans on the creamy side but pairs very well with the pink vodka pasta. The miso pasta didn't come with any protein by default, so we were glad that we added the Taiwanese sausage. Fun fact is that the meatball from the Pink Vodka Pasta is vegan! The portion size was super generous from both dishes and was beyond just two people. I wasn't expecting to discover pasta dishes that I'd consider as one of my favorites from this visit!
