Came here for lunch with my friend. First time trying Turkish food and it was delicious. The beef zaza which is like minced meat on a flat bread with veggies on the side to add to it dipped in a yogurt garlic sauce was great. I got the beef shish kebab plate with roasted beet salad was also fantastic. The meat was cooked to perfection on a grill outside. Turkish coffee sure was strong and served in a tiny cup which was cute. Got a baklava for dessert which was very sweet but yum. They also have a large display case of candy that were all very unique and tasty. I got a rose one that is so good. I bought a box of assorted flavors home to enjoy. The owner of the restaurant cut small pieces of the candy for us to try so we can decide which one we wanted. The other owner also came by to check on us and ask if the food was good. The restaurant is quite spacious with outdoor covered patio seating as well as indoor. I was able to bring my dog and dine there. They were so nice and even offered a bowl of water for my pup. I tried this spot for the first time today. Easy to find and easy to park. The first thing that greets me is the kiosk asking me to order. No eye contact from any employees. I freaking hate ordering from a kiosk. It even asked me for a tip at the end of the ordering process. It was 12:05pm and they were out of both the beef and chicken Döner. I ended up with the chicken kebab plate. It took a long time to come out but it was piping hot and fresh. It was hot as hell inside the restaurant, so I ended up on the patio. They were showing the World Cup on a big screen outside so I was happy about that. It was hot outside, as well, but not as stuffy as inside. The employees seemed more interested in ignoring me or staring at their phone. So, I would definitely try to get there early or call before if you are looking for doner. The restaurant is located inside a strip mall and there's plenty of seating inside. I went for the doner and chicken kebab. The kebabs are freshly grilled outside. The doner was pretty good, the meat was tasty. The food is definitely on a lovely barbecue Char level with Amazing seasoning that just Waters the pallet. I got the mix plate thing and the chicken was on point it was very tender and seasoned exceptionally well establishing a strong umami profile along with the two different types of beef they were amazing. The only thing that was maybe a little different for me was how the sides were presented and how you would choose one kind of like cafeteria style. Other than that though the food itself is a 10 out of 10 I'm enjoying every bite! The music is also pretty good it's got some digital beads with kind of a desert vibe and the service was decent everyone was nice and prompt. The only thing that I would have an issue with is the pricing it's up there in my book as I tend to always aim for $30 or lower and it was $35 for one large mixed plate. Nice little spot that's kind of hidden. I got the plate with beef shish, rice pilaf, beet salad and garlic sauce. Portion was decent and nicely presented. The beef shish was good, but I tasted my coworkers chicken shish and I will get that one next time. Both the chicken and beef shish were soft and not dry. Beet salad and rice pilaf were also tasty. Follow up visit with coworkers and had another good experience. I really enjoy Mediterranean food, but this was Turkish/Halal cuisine, which is a little different than most Mediterranean places. Esmy (Esmeralda) assisted us again and was pleasant and helpful with choosing off their menu board, which includes items that are new to me. Restaurant has plenty of seating, including a large, covered patio. It's always been clean, and there's plenty of parking in the shopping center's lot. FOOD: This time I ordered the Chicken Shish Kebap Plate ($21), served with pickled red cabbage, rice pilaf, and a spicy mayo dipping sauce. I also purchased a side of the Hummus ($6). Once again, my coworkers ordered the Zaza-Pidé ($9), which included minced beef, feta cheese, veggies, spices, and a red lentil spread on a very thin lavash flatbread, like a Turkish pizza. It looks a little strange if you've never seen one, but it's delicious! There can be a little bit of a wait for the food, but it's worth it. I was in the area and saw this place had good reviews on here so decided to check it out. I got a Döner wrap (steak and lamb) and a falafel wrap. The doner wrap was very delicious, topped with some cucumber yogurt it was great. The falafel was alright but not spectacular. The workers were very helpful and kind and patient with me. This places also has a bakery in it with a lot of good pastries. I got a chocolate pistachio hazelnut pastry that was only a few dollars and quite yummy. I will be returning to this place. It balances the slight saltiness of the meat and the pita is nice and soft. Everything works together beautifully. Turkish Delight: 8/10 There are so many different flavors. It's very very sweet so I recommend eating it with coffee or tea. You pay per pound and they show you the scale as they cut it. Very very affordable and a nice little treat for after your food. The plate I got was about $6. They are imported from Turkey. Only rate it an 8 because super sweet desserts aren't particularly my thing, but I enjoyed the experience. Went there yesterday with my wife for the first time ever, my wife is Turkish and i have been to Turkey so many times and i can say with confidence the food at this place is a disgrace to Turkish cuisine. 1. Food is bland and flavorless. Kebap and lahmacun both were a disappointment but the chicken wings was the real disappointment. It had nothing to do with the picture they have on menu or how Turkish chicken wings are made. They were fried for God's sake. 2. Service was awful, long time waiting for our food, no utensils, they gave us plastic (take away) utensils for dining in. They completely forgot about our dessert and only started working on it when we asked them about it. We had to wait additional 20 minutes and that is time we will never get back. No servers in sight and after they got us the food no one even came back to check on us whether we are doing good or need anything or even ask us how everything was. Not acceptable in the industry. 3. Ambiance isn't bad per se but the area it is in is a little shady. 4. Prices vs portions and quality make no sense, very expensive very low quality of meat and chicken and portions are less than normal. Go somewhere else and don't be fooled. I just came here for the first time and i already cannot wait to be back, it was SO good! They have a fancy turkish grill they use to cook the meat on coal which gives the meat such a good smoke flavor that works so well with their marinades. Mito's is tucked in a surprising Pomona location inside a shopping center. Parking is ample and so is the restaurant itself. They have a large indoor and outdoor seating area. The owner was gracious and welcoming. We tried the lahmajun, chicken doner plate, and adana kabob - which we enjoyed. The small side of garlicky yogurt that the plates come with was pretty amazing drizzled over the food. Their Turkish hot tea was delicious and served in traditional adorable Turkish tea cups. I highly recommend their lahmajun if you want to stick to beef-only as adana kabob is a mixture of beef and lamb. If you like lamb, adana kabob is a must-try. read more

I go here often, I'll be so sad when I move! The dolmas are a bit different but still great, the pistachio tres leches is heavenly and you can't go wrong with the beef pide! First impressions matter!!!! Stopped in today and the food was actually pretty good. Unfortunately, the experience was overshadowed by the woman working the register around noon. She was extraordinarily rude from the moment we arrived and appeared to be having a very bad day. Upon placing an order to go, she said they were very busy, and we had two orders ahead of us so we need to wait. There were only two customers in the restaurant at the time. Throughout the visit she seemed irritated, impatient, and unfriendly, which made us feel unwelcome. It's disappointing because the food deserves better representation.
