This place continues to be amazing - food and staff!! Came here last night with my extended family (Vegans and Vegetarians and meat eaters). My family was definitely skeptical, but once the food started coming out, it was nothing but silence... because we were all stuffing our faces. Everything was delicious. I am dumbfounded. How this adorable place isn't packed for lunch, I have no idea. I'm a very tough critic of vegan burgers, and this is by far one of the best I have ever tasted! I got the Cali-Burger with pea protein patties (so relieved, it's increasingly difficult to find vendors that don't rely on Impossible products, which many vegans don't consume) and it was a home run. The patties were smashed and cooked perfectly, the toppings were fresh, the sauce was delicious and the bun was as soft and pillowy as if it had been baked this morning. Plant Power gets a lot of accolades and by comparison I maintain their food is fair to mid. This is better, cheaper, and far more deserving of praise. I'm obsessed! I have ordered from here around 2-3 times and I would say it's a hit or miss. I ordered the cauliflower wings on both occasions and the first time they were delish, but the second and third time they were mushy. The burgers are really good, but I recommend ordering inside rather than pick up as the pick up times are usually more inconsistent. OMG this place was packed when my boyfriend and I ate on Saturday. The two guys handling all orders (taking and cooking) were so attentive and handled the business with great composure. The food took no longer than at any sit down restaurant, but we were given free chips and salsa to compromise for, what they thought was, a longer wait time. It was some of the best salsa I've ever had, by the way. We also had the fish tacos - spectacular. Boyfriend came to Gorganson's twice the first day he tried them. I haven't had a spicy chicken sandwich like this one in a minute and I loved every second of it. Sweet bread, coleslaw, pickles, and a spicy soy-based (?) "chicken" patty. Lastly, we had the buffalo cauliflower. Crispy and delicious with a surprisingly creamy vegan ranch. To finish, we had a s'mores cookie, which the young man working was kind enough to bring out to us at the end of our meal. It was so good that we bought two more cookies to-go on our way out. I'm not vegan (mostly vegetarian), but boyfie is, so we try any vegan spots we can. I called and placed an order over the phone and the employee was so helpful on my gluten free diet and what I can eat. When I got there everything was made fresh and pretty much done. No long wait and that was perfect since we were in a hurry. Everything taste delicious. I got the taco plate my family got burgers and everyone was satisfied including my children! I bought the guava drink as well and we enjoyed it. I have to say the prices are really good. We paid $46 bucks including drinks and adding fries versus other vegan burger places we've paid is over usually $70. The black bean burger was especially perfect in flavor, char, and texture. The staff is so friendly and welcoming, and they gave my friend and me some great suggestions. The ginger shots to start off the meal told us everything we needed to know about the place. The vegan fudge cookies were unreal. Can't recommend this place enough. It's casual but upscale for a vegan spot. Open very late, and their prices are very low for the quality and value of the food.
