The vegan chorizo was incredibly flavorful--you absolutely do not feel like you're sacrificing anything by choosing it. Everything worked perfectly together. We also ordered an al pastor burrito wet, and that was delicious too. The sauce was rich, savory, and full of flavor and took the whole burrito to another level. And the chips and salsa? To die for. Seriously. Even the chips and salsa were memorable. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor, and both the vegan option and the traditional meat option were excellent. We will absolutely be back. Five stars, easily!

But, they just didn't seem.to have their stuff together. The restaurant was empty, but the hostess seemed frazzled by us coming in and said she'd "see what they had available". We were literally the only people in the restaurant. My buddy and I both ordered the lunch special. The tacos we're decent, the enchilada was similarly good. But, nothing really special. Maybe the atmosphere is more lively at night. Maybe they're cocktails are amazing. I don't know and I'd probably try it again to find out. But, there just wasn't much that impressed me. Nothing offensive. Nothing horrible. Just nothing great.

I was hoping they would have a Taco Tuesday special or something but they don't... I ordered 2 carne asada and 1 al pastor tacos to go. They were prettty solid and delicious! Carne asada was really nice, the al pastor was definitely more flavorful, but it had more of the burnt ends, so it was either even more flavorful from the charred parts, or it was a bit hard and too crispy to have. Overall, still pretty nice though. I liked how they had the side bar, which it doesn't look entirely the cleanest, but pretty decent. Total for 3 tacos came out to be $9, so it's about $3 each. Kinda high for tacos imo, but they're pretty good.

Indoor seating is also pretty limited, so my friend and I were glad to grab one of the small tables. I ordered the lengua and asada tacos and both were flavorful, tender, and loaded with meat. I was honestly too hungry and eager to take a picture beforehand, but I can assure you the portions are plentiful. The tacos were a little greasy, but still really satisfying. The broth was rich and flavorful with that homemade taste that makes you keep going back for another spoonful. The look, the smell, and especially the taste were on point! We absolutely love this place and decided to come for our anniversary. I'll preface this by saying…read morethe food taste was amazing, like always. But some shady charges or maybe we'll call it miscommunication just rubbed me the wrong way. I always order the mole chicken enchiladas and my wife (being vegetarian) asks for the same dish but if the enchiladas can be vegetable or cheese. Apparently this means a 8$ up charge? We've done this many times in the past and always been charged the same price for both. I asked the server at the end "the veggie version is 8$ more expensive than chicken?" And he just shrugged and said yes. Just found it interesting that a meat dish would be 8$ less than a purely cheese/veggie dish. Especially since done this in the past with no issue. I also asked for "hot sauce" for my dish. They brought out a spicier house salsa as the hot sauce...totally understandable and the salsa here is usually free. Apparently it's a 4$ "chipotle sauce" that the waiter did not inform me would be charged. I would've easily just said I want tapatio or no "hot sauce". I used maybe a teaspoon for 4$. I told the waiter this when we questioned the bill and he just shrugged. These may seem like small inconveniences but when they seem like they intentionally don't tell you the details and then when called out about it just kinda shrug it off, it was a disappointing end to an otherwise tasty dinner. We love it here and will certainly be back but it just sucks that I have to be extra cautious & skeptical when ordering from now on.
