    Birria torta, chicken tacos, mulita

El Chilote is the epitemy of great tacos with nothing but the freshest ingredients. It's elevated beyond just a tortilla and well seasoned meat. He usually has several pop ups in different breweries throughout the week, so be sure to follow his ig page to get his schedule @el_chilotemex They have handmade tortillas, their chicken tacos on the blue corn tortilla is my favorite! They also have vegan options, the most delicious salsas and toppings, meat never overcooked. Honestly, their tacos are some of the most vibrant, simple and fresh ingredients being taken to another level. They are always creative with their menu and sometime have tacos de nopales. The owner knows his ingredients and is knowledgeable about what works. The girls who work their are also so kind, with a smile, very welcoming. It's always a chill and fun vibe having a taco and a beer. Def a taco spot i'd recommend. Ditch the bland and embrace the fresh. Life is too short for lame tacos and tasteless toppings.

Came for the food, stayed for the beer. I was excited to try the food and it did not disappoint. The Al pastor wings were my boyfriend's favorite: super crunchy as you take that bite and the Al pastor sauce on them was super flavorful and juicy. The tacos Gobernador: wow. First of all, I love shrimp so this in a taco with melted cheese?!? Wow. It was amazing. The pickled onions to top it definitely added some awesome texture. The chorizo smash taco: super flavorful and juicy as you take a bite. Crunchy flavor on the outside, Texture is everything. It's a very meaty taco too! The birria taco: man where do I start.. super flavorful. My favorite of them all to be honest. The meat tastes fresh and it's on a hand- made tortilla?! I recommend trying this place, honestly it's very flavorful, truly authentic, and worth every penny! Love the creative twist to authentic Mexican food.

El Chilote was serving food at Evans Brewing Co. in Corona, CA on Friday night. Since it was a Friday during Lent, I only tried their shrimp tacos...and they were amazing. One thing that really set El Chilote apart from other tacos spots is all their tortillas are handmade. The shrimp tacos came with their yellow corn tortilla. You can rally tell the difference in taste and texture with these handmade tortillas. There was cheese grilled onto the tortilla, and a tasty sauce added to the tacos. I ate the first one with out adding any of their red salsa, which was also very enjoyable. My wife got mulitas, one shrimp and one birria and enjoyed them both. I plan on trying these guys again and having some of their birria tacos so that I can try their blue corn tortillas. If you find them at a local brewery I would definitely suggest that you give them a try.

It's the hand pressed, blue corn, fresh tortillas for me!! The Azteca quesadilla is my personal fave! This bad boy is generously stuffed with, chorizo, nopales, quesillo, black garlic beans & topped with pickled onions! Oh, don't forget the Smoked habanero salsa! Also, the shrimp tacos and the birria torta are delish! Not to mention the service! I may or may not stalk their IG to see where their next pop-ups may me! Definitely a must try!

You need to do yourself a favor and go follow this business on IG and then stalk...ok I know that sounds creepy but trust me once you've had their quesabirrias you'll understand what I mean...anyways go follow them on IG and hit up the tacos. Tortillas hecha a Mano I mean come on! Doesn't get better than that. Their consume is so delicious and perfect for dipping your taquitos or just drinking it. I'm telling you go you won't be disappointed we need to support local food vendors who actually care and dedicate time to keep the food as traditional as possible but also mixing it up. Oh also you gotta try the torta and the quesadilla azteca so good!

Birria and handmade tortillas with a side of the three salsas.

Happy to get 4 free admission tix courtesy of Yelp. Yay!…read more On a Friday night after 7pm, the line was easy breezy. My fiance and friends perused the options of food and along the way, a few beverage vendors offered us free samples. The watermelon drink was noteworthy. All 4 of us opted for different vendors. My choice was the truffle veggie burger and bottled water for 14. Super tasty burger. Pleased they have vegetarian and vegan options. My fiance opted for a Hawaiian plate at Shootz. He said the loco moco was solid as was the spam musubi. Friends opted for a noodle and veggie bowl topped with an over hard egg. The other dish chosen was chicken + waffle. The consensus was all 4 star meals at an average $15/plate. I would not have gone to Panana had it not been for the free admission tix. The Filipino food vendor offered up $6 unlimited drinks so the fiance ended up getting refills on melon drinks (tasty and not too sweet) and just one mango drink. (too sweet) The entertainment could use some improvements. The poor rock band on stage did not get much attention while the dancers from Venice were doing their thing below with the crowds around them. They also could have had more table to eat at. Fortunately, our group had a table, although the lady w/a child before us failed to throw her trash away. We did it for her after she left. It was a family friendly event as some children and parents walked around in costume. From the photos, I had braced myself to be among crowds but, for Friday night it was a non-issue. Thanks Yelp WLA for a perk just local to us in Torrance!

They had different vendors this time and I was curious to see how they were. This go-around there was a Filipino vendor via the Kapamilya Restaurant. They had various bbq sticks and street food. Combos with two items were $10. I got to try the chicken bbq stick and it was ok. It's a bit more pricey than outside Filipino food. QQ-Ball 2016 offering Taiwanese puffy cakes was also a new vendor. They had a special $5 puffy cakes with ice cream. I tried this with cookies and cream and this made for a nice dessert. I wanted to try their character puffy cakes (they had Hello Kitty) but for $7 for 4 pieces and no ice cream; I thought the special $5 was a better deal. Another new vendor was YouMe Hot Dog; offering sausage and mozzarella hot dogs. I have to say this was my favorite! It looked very simple but the batter was delicious. It is definitely one of the best corn dogs I've had ever. This was only $5. Sutekiya Catering was also new and they were offering the cutest bear curries for $10. This was definitely instagram worthy. Mr Bully 909 was a vendor that was there the last go-around but I didn't get to try it. For this visit; I finally got to check it out. I got their Korean bbq ribs along with their bulgogi cheese fries for $15. This was actually another entree I really liked. I loved how the ribs were tender and meaty. The fries were also quite tasty. Overall as many have mentioned; food can get pricey. I am very happy to have received complimentary tickets via Yelp because then I could spend money for more tasty dishes ;). Thank you Yelp!
