Very open seating. Not a lot of people. Our waitress was very very kind but she was the only one working do with 4 tables here so the service was very slow... The food was really good and we enjoyed rhe time. The chairs might benefit from some slide pads under the feet they are aggressively loud when moved. My mom loves it here and said its her favorite so I know we will return. The salsa was good tonight I like that it has alitrle kick but needed salt and wish I could have had more. I didn't want to write a review, I was really hoping I could find a new spot to get food. I spent $45 with tip on 2 breakfast burritos. That was my first mistake. The lady working was nice. I ordered 2 breakfast burritos for pick up and asked for no cheese on 1 burrito. It was made with cheese. The floor was sticky when I walked in to pick it up. The salsa verde tasted funny and the container was puffed up like the salsa had been made a while ago. The burritos weren't too tasty either, the chorizo burrito tasted like cinnamon for some reason. The hash brown that was inside was interesting. The bacon in the second burrito was questionable. Both burritos got a couple bites before being tossed. Wish I had taken photos of it all, wasn't planning on writing a review till my stomach started feeling upset from the food. Get the breakfast burritos at your own risk. read more

One of the better Mexican restaurants in the area and definitely worth checking out. The portions are huge -- perfect for sharing or if you're coming in really hungry. The chips and dip were fresh and a great way to start the meal. We ordered the nachos, which were good overall, but I do wish they were a bit heavier on the cheese and meat. The fajitas came out sizzling and packed with flavor -- easily one of the highlights of the meal. I'd probably skip anything with shredded beef next time. It was unfortunately super dry and pretty flavorless. My crispy taco was essentially a fried shell filled with shredded beef. I'll give them credit for being generous with the portion of meat, but quantity doesn't make up for dryness. Service, unfortunately, was below average. There were only two waitresses working, and it showed. It was hard to get their attention at times, and we had to wait longer than expected for refills and check-ins. I recently moved to San Dimas and I was looking for a new good Mexican restaurant and found Las Palmas, me and my friend came on Monday for lunch walk in and was greeted right away. First off the service was great, our waitress was very attentive, coming by several times to check on us. Our table shared the ribeye fries, they were very tasty and good amount for 2-4 people to share. The caldo de camarones had a very good flavor with plenty of shrimp. Went with coworkers during lunch so some of us ordered from the lunch special. They hand out chips & salsa for the table. The salsa has a small kick to it which was enjoyed by the ppl that couldn't handle too much spicy foods. The portions are pretty huge for the price you pay so it felt worth it. Our group ordered beef fajitas, enchiladas, quesobirria plate, shrimp plate and Chile Verde huevos rancheros. Most of the plates came with refried beans and rice. My mother requested breakfast and specifically somewhere that served Cafe De Olla so I brought her here. The restaurant is pretty spacious, clean and wasn't busy. Our waitress immediately took our drink order and food order a few minutes afterwards. We both ordered the Cafe De Olla and unfortunately it lacked the sweetness I'm used to. It seemed like there wasn't any piloncillo used but, I could be wrong. I ordered the Chile Verde plate which was served with refried beans, rice and garnished with some greens. The beans, I loved! Flavor was there and I absolutely loved the Chile Verde. The meat was tender and the sauce was really good. My only issue I had with my meal was the rice. It was undercooked, each bite had raw pieces of rice. The flavor was odd and the color was super bright orange as if they're using an artificial color. Maybe I'm wrong but, it was definitely not what I'm used to. My mom ordered the Machaca plate and she enjoyed it. Her issue was the same as mine when it comes to the rice. The portions are also pretty large which is a plus for me. If you're in the mood for Mexican breakfast you may want to check them out. Las Palmas is one of the best restaurants we have found in San dimas. My wife is from Guadalajara and I am from South America. The food is very authentic and atmosphere is great, and the prices are reasonable. We came back from Sacramento and we stopped there to have dinner on Friday evening. We had the mole plate which was fantastic with chicken. We have had mole at other places there's agua mole called guacamole, there's different types of moles so it's not just the one that's made from chocolate or the bean from a chocolate. I always ask the waitresses because they probably don't know the origin of mole but it is fantastic all capital letters. I will be honest, because a few months ago they changed a recipe, and it was terrible, but they changed it back and it's fantastic it's the estilo michoacano... So it's a little different than the way my wife makes it and she's from Guadalajara but it's fantastic and she actually likes it better than the mole from her own country. Their chips are way better than they used to be sometimes they fry them too much. I think they make them themselves they don't outsource them. But, this time the chips were way better than they were last time. The chips previously were way too burnt and I think whoever cooked them cook them too long. Ultimately, you must try this place. The hubs wanted chilaquiles for brunch so we headed over here to Las Palmas. The new space is great with the added bar area. More room and no wait on a Saturday early afternoon. Had the chorizo and egg omelette with rice and beans. I know I've had this here before but thought the omelette was ok. Not the best but ok. The chilaquiles was a bit on the salty side and was served with rice and beans. Neither really hit out of the park. Tortillas were served in a basket and not wrapped to be kept warm. Probably a good idea to have tortilla warmers so they don't get cold fast. Both plates were served room temp not really that warm. It doesn't have to be piping hot but the rice and beans were not warm at all. Portions are large. I like this place and will come back bec there are so many other plates to try. I'm not sure if it was because I had ordered later in the day, but the chips were slightly soggy. I had never tasted them like that before.
