    Classic Smash Burger (Sliced Open)
    Ian A.

I had a lovely experience at San Dimas Burger. I ordered the Classic Smash Burger ($20). It's perky Brioche Buns, two Angus Beef Patties, fresh American Cheese, Pickles, Grilled Onions, and crunchy Smoked Bacon. This meal is served with crunchy, golden French Fries. It's a satisfying, delicious meal! I arrived at San Dimas Burger on Sunday (around 12:34PM). Parking is convenient if familiar with the area. I recommend using the business's hidden rear private parking lot. However, there's also a strip parking near the front, but those parking spots are fairly competitive. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Staff (receipt says Sandra) is professional and hardworking. Sandra answered all my questions, and Sandra regularly checked on me. My food took eight minutes and 32 seconds. Good pace! As mentioned, I enjoyed the Classic Smash Burger ($20). The toasted bun is perky and fluffy. The meat patties are juicy with a clean meat flavor. The melted cheese tasted fresh. And the meal came together with that crunchy bacon. Each bite was euphoric! This is a satisfying, enormous burger. In addition, the golden french fries felt unique. Its outer layer is very crispy, yet its potato did not feel dried out. There's a satisfying crunch with a fluffy potato. YUM! Concerning ambiance, San Dimas Burger's appearance screams old. The chairs are poorly maintained; several chairs looked ripped apart. The floor and walls look worn down. And the decor is very minimal. Still, the location felt clean and well-ventilated. There's a gender neutral restroom for customers; door's code is taped onto the counter. There's also six muted flat screen televisions. I appreciated how one of those TV's had captions. The location also feels spacious with its tall ceiling. There's about 10 inside tables and a counter; there's also tables on the front patio. Overall, I had a phenomenal experience at San Dimas Burger. The Classic Smash Burger ($20) is absurdly delicious! If you love burgers, this is an easy recommendation. 4.9 out of 5! Go!!

Friends and I tossed a coin and chose San Dimas Burger for lunch. The menu looked pricey but the food pics made the price look correct. We sat on the shady clean patio at noon and had no problems parking in the shared off street parking just steps away. The food was easy to order and arrived quickly which aligned with the limited customer count. California Burger and 2 build your own burgers with tater tots, onion rings, reg fries and sweet potato fries for sides. The onion rings and fries have a batter on them that make them crunchy and tasty. Pro Tip - If you are hungry order the reg fries because the sweet potato fries are about half the amount. We weren't asked by staff and forgot to ask for the Burger to be cooked rare or medium rare and the burgers came out dry and over cooked. I love the garlic butter which seemed cheesy and made the burger taste amazing regardless. Service was great and she actually brought out an icy filled pitcher of water for the table. Traffic and noise is low so you can talk without problems if you like to talk during lunch. This place is close to everyone and worth a try if you are in the area. We shall return!

Pretty good, filling, satisfying burgers. Solid portions for the Build-Your-Own-Burger combo. Their thin-cut fries were nicely seasoned and were the right amount of salty, savory. Their Side Salad was not worth it - a light amount of lettuce, some tomatoes, and too many croutons; more like a crouton salad lol. The medium well meat patty was good but I think I'll dry medium rare next time for an overall more juicy burger. They should've added some olives and cucumber slices in the salad, needed more crunch texture. Their ranch dipping sauce is bomb, not sure if they make it in-house but it's fabulous poured on the burger and with the fries. Would definitely order lunch from here again.

Stopped in for lunch. I wanted a burger and found this place. But they also have some interesting "secret menu" Hispanic food items which I will be back to try. Burger was juice and tasty! Fries were fried to perfection a little crispy just how I loved them. The layout of the place was a bit weird. Walked in and there isn't a clear place to go but you end up just taking a seat anywhere and then they come to you with a menu. Service was good. Food came out quickly too.

Note it actually says well done on the receipt.

Some background: Bun Street in West Covina partnered with the owner of this place to make it a hamburger restaurant. The owner of San Dimas Burger insisted on serving Salvadoran food in addition to the hamburgers so the partnership with Bun Street was severed. The owner of Bun Street wanted to keep it just as a hamburger place. I ate here when it was just newly opened and hamburgers only and the place was incredible, just as good as Bun Street in West Covina, which is incredible too. Ate here again in May 2025. Completely different experience in a bad way. We come here because of the smash burgers and it was as if the cook had no idea what a smash burger was. Also, we ask for our burgers well done, please look at the photos. Literally took half an hour to get the raw hamburger replaced. Completely insane! The Bun Street guy was right to sever the relationship with this place. The server was nice but clueless. The interior is the same as the remodel done when Bun Street was involved.

Those onion rings though *mouth watering*

Let me start by saying that the service was amazing, her suggestions helped when trying to make up my mind on what to order. Not only Burgers, but their menu offer other kinds of foods, like pupusas. We sat outside as the sun was setting since it was a warm day. Ohhh and the beer:) the beer was pretty good

Came in on a Saturday night, the servers we friendly. Their burgers were fresh and made to order. My friend got a build your own and I ordered the San Dimas burger. Tots and Fries were great. We also go the Yuca Con Chicharron, they were delicious and would come back again just for those.

This place used to be Cafe Las Pupusas Dining & Brews. If you go to their website it takes you to San Dimas Burger as well as the secret menu for P'aco's pupusas and tacos. It's the same owner and you can still get the same food but I guess they thought they'd get more business making burgers. That said, they have a solid assortment of said burgers. I tried the pastrami burger which was a sloppy satisfying mess of a burger. Your side is included at lunch and I went with tater tots. Super crispy! My wife went with the patty melt, which to be honest, was really a burger on grilled bread. It tasted fine but a real patty melt becomes an inseparable mass of gooey cheese, caramelized onions, patty and bread. This delivered none of that. So skip the melt and stick to the burgers on buns. Next time I want to try the Mexican side of the menu. We dined on the patio because the weather was nice. Food was a little slow in arriving but not to the point of concern. I would definitely stop by again.

I've been here twice and twice the food is made nice and hot ! The tots and fries portion are mighty generous!

Honestly, I came here today because I was trying to figure out what to have for lunch and this came up as a suggestion on yelp and when reading the reviews I found they were pretty contradictory so I came here just because I was curious. I have to say, I think everything about the place is great. Tuesday lunch at about 1 PM. Only a couple groups eating. I ordered the make your own burger. I chose the beef patty with their special sauce, (Thousand Island-ish), Swiss cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles on a brioche bun. It was cooked well done/thoroughly which I find is common for burgers in restaurants, but it was juicy and very tasty. I got tater tots and a Diet Coke. B cause I was here during lunchtime I got $2 off of the burger and tater tots. The server was great.

Inside of the restaurant after they were supposed to be open, but doors were locked when I got here. Waiting for rush order

THEY ARE CLOSED WHEN THEY SAY THEY'RE OPEN AND DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. HORRIBLE PREORDER EXPERIENCE. The lady working there, Aracely, is an angel, she deserves better! I tried to order a tray of food ahead of time for a meeting, and it went terribly wrong. For whatever reason, it didn't work when I tried to order directly from the website. I called the restaurant well after their posted opening hours and left a message, never got a call back. I physically showed up at the restaurant to place an order at 11:30, the doors were locked and it looked like they were closed. I finally placed the order for pickup on DoorDash and it was accepted, but when I went to pick it up, again doors were locked, looked like they were closed, AGAIN, after they were supposed to be open. Order was fired up when I got there, but this was a terrible experience. The lady cooking the food was incredible, but I'm not ready to come back after this experience. I hope management sees this and changes things around or staffs it up for their posted opening hours.

"No Tan Lines" was super smooth and easy to drink with a nice coconut kick, while "P-Town" had a richer, thicker feel with strong coffee notes--both were absolutely delicious.
