Alpha dog
Vanessa R.

Normally I always miss this place because it's open M-F and I'm usually in the area on the weekends but I got lucky and had a Monday free!! HAD to stop by and try out the food. Their big signs advertising their burgers and bacon wrapped hot dogs always catch my eye! The bacon wrapped hot dog ("Alpha Dog") is soooo good. They have a station by the register where you can add mustard, mayo, ketchup, the works. Then after you add your desired condiments, they add on some delicious fresh veggies on top. My partner got the double cheeseburger so we shared both. The cheeseburger came out piping hot and was good! It was a lot of food so if it was just me I'd have gotten a single patty. Double patty was perfect for sharing. Seating is in front of the little market that they sell next to. There were about 3 tables you could eat at. You can buy drinks and chips at the store they're next to if you need any beverages or chips to eat with your burgers and hot dogs! They gave us a rewards card that's specifically for their gourmet hot dogs... Don't worry, I'll be back to punch that rewards card again! :) Important to note - Venmo or cash only

Yay, a smash burger spot near my house! Found this place through Yelp notifications, you know when there new or poppin spot I get those notifications. The directions were a bit confusing at first, but the photos helped since they show what the outside looks like. The burger patty was good. I think it would taste even better if it wasn't cooked well-done so the flavor comes through more. They also serve hotdogs-the chili cheese dog is a must-try. It's really amazing. I ordered the Big ED, which comes with double cheeseburger patties and a hotdog. I really liked it, but I barely noticed the cheese, so I'd suggest adding more and including pickles. Parking isn't a problem. There's a lot in the back and street parking available.

Double Cheeseburger! Sheesh! ( ^_^)b

Gr8 Burgers is a pop up burger spot outside the Olive Neighborhood Market. I've seen them a few times but never had the opportunity to try them til now. There's parking in back of the building and a few on the side. The pictures I had seen made me put them on my list of places to try. The menu is pretty straight forward with burgers and hotdogs and special menu items. Staff were hospitable and friendly and explained to me their hours are typically Monday to Friday 11AM-5PM unless they are working a special event. **important to note** - they only accept Cash, Venmo or Cash App as payment. I ordered the Double Cheeseburger with grilled onions for $11. Condiments like pickles and peppers are available for self serve. The Olive market has drinks if you need one. The location had 3 tables right next to the tent for seating. Also the back of the market had an entire patio to enjoy your food too. The burger was ready fast since there wasn't a line when I got there. That baby looked delicious! The smashed patties and melted cheese was mouthwatering. I had to take my time to take these pictures first of course. The Double Cheeseburger was bomb! Each bite was enjoyable and not too greasy at all. I love smash burgers and this one was definitely solid. One that I would recommend and one I would no doubt come back again for another one. Overall, a great pop up burger spot with affordable prices. I'd recommend coming here if you wanna enjoy some smash burgers. :P Thanks, Gr8 Burgers! ( ^_^)b

Just tried this spot and I'm honestly so impressed! Their smash burgers are super flavorful and done just right. You can tell they really care about the quality of the food and customer-service It's family-operated, and the vibe is so warm and welcoming. Everyone was incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience even better. I tried the "Big Ed" and it was so original definitely something I've never seen or tried before, and it did not disappoint. I love when a place brings something unique like that to the table. Will 100% be coming back, Highly Recommend!!

Double cheeseburger - so good!

Pop up offering delicious smash burgers and hot dogs with great service at a cute neighborhood market! We loved our burgers and I was especially impressed with how they had NO grease whatsoever- they were fantastic! You'll find them just outside of Olive's Market under a small tent - everything is cooked to order right there on the grill - it's like a family backyard cookout! Their menu is limited but sometimes I think that's a good thing bc I get overwhelmed when there are too many choices. They have several types of hot dogs and smash burgers and even a smash burger with hot dogs on it (The Big Ed) haha! We went with the double smash burger - they come with grilled onions and homemade spread which is their version of thousand island I think. The burgers were a tad smaller than I expected based off the photos I saw online - so I was glad I got a double - it was just the right size. The buns are soft and light, the burger patties smashed to perfection, cheese melty - and the best part is that their burgers just aren't even the slightest bit greasy! My only complaint is that the homemade spread is fairly sweet which was unexpected. I never have liked sweet and savory together - but this is totally a personal preference and did not take away from the quality of the burger. Next time I'll get it without spread and add my fave condiments and I have no doubt it'll be over the top delicious! They don't offer fries or any sides really. But since they're right outside of Olive's Market it's easy to grab some chips and even some pastries or cookies for dessert (highly recommend)! Service was friendly and fast - order at their register and they'll bring it over to wherever you're sitting. There's plenty of outdoor seats and tables in front and more in the back patio area which was cute. A sign seemed to indicate their popup is there at Olive's only on Tuesdays but I believe I read online that they're there most weekdays as well. I'm not entirely sure but their instagram account seemed current with their pop up location schedule. Their prices are excellent as well - very reasonable for the quality. They take cash or Venmo only so be prepared. Will definitely be back for more of these yummy smash burgers!

Alpha Dog

Let me set the scene: I'm sitting in my office, minding my business, about to eat lunch like a responsible adult. Then I unwrapped this. The Alpha Dog. One look at it and suddenly I was spiritually transported to a foggy downtown alley at 2:17 AM, stumbling out of a club, shoes untied, forehead glistening, mouth dry, the sound of distant bass thumping, and a street vendor yelling, "Extra onions, bro?" This hot dog doesn't just taste good, it awakens your inner drunken child. The sausage is grilled to that perfect charred edge where you can practically hear it sizzle as it flexes. It's long enough to make you question your life choices but in a "no regrets" kind of way. The bun? Buttery and golden, toasted just enough to cradle that magnificent beast without falling apart under pressure. And those peppers and onions... oh man. They're glistening like they've seen things. Perfectly blistered, just a little burnt on the edges, the culinary equivalent of a night you definitely shouldn't talk about the next day. Every bite has that smoky, juicy, sweet-spicy what-am-I-doing-with-my-life flavor that makes you want to lean against a food cart, talk about your life with strangers, and wipe your mouth with a napkin that's 80% covered in ketchup . Bottom line: eating this Alpha Dog sober feels like cheating on the experience. It deserves to be enjoyed with a light buzz, a questionable friend by your side, and the faint glow of a neon sign nearby. If you're looking for something that says "I'm sophisticated but I also miss my wild days," congratulations. You've found it.

Double cheeseburger with chili. ' The 'G' Burger
Nathan G.

Gr8 Burgers lives up to the hype. Simple menu, big flavor, and a crew that treats you like family the moment you walk up. I went for the "secret" menu item (it's right there on the board), a double cheeseburger with chili. Oozy, gooey, cheesy, and just the right kind of greasy. The patties were perfectly seared, the cheese perfectly melted, and the chili tied it all together without overpowering the beef. Pure comfort food. They cook everything to order outside Olive's Neighborhood Market, so you can grab chips or a drink while you wait. It feels like a backyard cookout with neighbors stopping by. The team keep it friendly and relaxed. They only take cash or Apple Pay. That chili double alone is worth the trip. I'll be back soon. Hopefully they will have fries by then :-)

Smash Burger was good. At $11.00 was expensive. No sides or fries. This is a top-up out in front of a market.

The patty is smashed just right, with crispy, caramelized edges and a juicy, flavorful center, while the melted cheese blends perfectly into the beef. The bacon adds that extra smoky, savory crunch, which pairs insanely well with the subtle sweetness of the Hawaiian bun. It creates that perfect sweet-and-salty balance, with every bite hitting a mix of juicy, crispy, and soft textures. The toppings stay simple and fresh, letting the flavor of the burger really shine. I had it with a side of tater tots, which were crispy and satisfying, but honestly, I feel like the sweet potato fries might've been the better move. That slight sweetness would've complemented the burger even more and taken the whole meal up a notch. Overall, it's a standout burger--simple, flavorful, and done right. Definitely something I'd order again... next time with the sweet potato fries.
